| 5206 | The term “the national character of the literary creation” is in the base of our research showing how the language material can reflect peculiar features of a certain culture. Language and culture meet each other with the help of a concept. Usually an interpreter translates only a conceptual component, as a rule ignoring an associative-cultural one. In our work we reveal lexemes which reflect national concepts of Little Russia and analyze English translation of them. On the basis of Little Russian songs from the stories “The fair of Sorochinetz” and “A night in May or drowned maiden” we are revealing lexemes which reflect national Little Russian concepts, which are given in the texts of songs as ethnographic and political realia and analyzing a specific character of their translation into English. | 5210 | The six-year experience of cooperation between university and secondary school is uconsidered. The technique of reflexive reconstruction of interaction of participants of the network educational project is used: students, teachers of historical and philological faculty of Tomsk State Pedagogical University, teachers studying in Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution Secondary School no. 14 named after A. F. Lebedev, Tomsk. A plot of the reconstruction is based on the idea of the complexity of the project actions. We are talking about the movement from the normative and executive position of the design participants to the semantic one. It is shown that the first position is related to the implementation in practice of interaction of the state order in the field of integrative (inclusive) education. Within the framework of the second position, the participants implement their own initiatives, design, form an educational reality, the content and forms of which correspond to the challenges of the time. Pedagogical activity is carried out on the basis of personal resource of subjects of cooperation. The design of such a plot of the development of joint activities is considered as a manifestation of a special model of interaction between the University and the secondary school, which the authors, after G. N. Prozumentova, called joint production. The described educational precedents, empirical phenomena typical for this model allow us to see its presence in such forms as a master class, a project conference “Our Mental Values”, a joint educational project “Debates”, an international scientific and practical conference “Science and Education”. The content of this model is also shown by the creation of texts of different types by the participants of interaction: projects, articles, methodological developments, final qualifying works (diplomas, master’s theses). The experience of interaction between the University and the school presented in the article can be regarded as a precedent of educational design – the sphere of activity in which the manifestation, development, formation of the subjectivity of its participants in the context of innovative practice. Innovation is manifested in the phenomenon of personal presence of participants of network interaction (in this case-the authors of the article) in the creation of educational reality. The content of activities in the project can be considered as a variant of pedagogical technologization of the requirements of the new Federal State Educational Standards of the university and secondary school. | 5225 | The year of 2019 is the anniversary of two writers of different eras – A. S. Pushkin (1799–1837) and V. V. Nabokov (1899–1977). This study did not initially include the goal of identifying the “bringing together “of two writers, but an analysis of the wind motive led to results that broadened the ideas about the creative dialogue between Nabokov and Pushkin already established in literature. The aim of the work is to analyse the wind / storm motive in V. Nabokov’s novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair) in relation to cultural tradition. Material and methods. Motive and intertextual analysis based on the work of B. Gasparov, I. Silantyev. For understanding of the functionality and archetypical semantics of the wind / storm motive, the studies of K. Nagina and E. Nikanorova are significant; among the research work on Nabokov, the baseline for this study is, firstly, the article by A. Dolinina, who described the principles of using V. Nabokov to use Pushkin’s intertext in the novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair). Results and discussion. When analyzing “Otchayaniye” (Despair), it was considered that the narrative motive is often implemented in conjunction with an anonymous motive, therefore the focus of research attention was not only the wind motive / storm motive, but also windcalm. It was revealed that the wind motive in the novel is polysemantic and “works” to reveal the main themes and problems in the novel, “involved” in the design of the author’s concept of the work. It is associated primarily with moral and ethical issues: the definition of boundaries and the essence of free will, crime and punishment. It was found that the motive functionally considered in the novel correlates with the archetypal image of the storm, which traditionally embodies above the personal will and trial, the condition of passage of which is the strength of the moral basis of the individual. For the immoral character, who is the central hero of the novel, Herman (a murderer who is not experiencing remorse and torment of conscience), the wind turned into a storm, carries the semantics of punishment (“frightening” wind, “murderous drafts”). The study revealed the use of Nabokov’s method of increasing gradation in the design of the wind motive, which accompanies Hermann’s doubts and moral throwing, turning into a storm at the moment of final despair. Stillness arises at the climax points of the plot (the murder of an imaginary double and Herman reading his own, which must justify, but expose his mediocrity, “story”). If Herman interprets windcalm as the indifference of being to human life, as the absence of God, then at the author’s level “silence of being” emphasizes Nabokov’s idea of free will: nature does not give signs and does not interfere with a person’s moral choice. The analysis of the wind motive made it possible to reveal, the Pushkin’s fairy tale “Skazka o Rybake i Rybke” / About the Fisherman and the Fish as a significant intertext of the novel; the final “Otchayaniye” (Despair) correlates with the outcome of the tale: the character who wished to become a “despot” not only of his own being, but also of the lives of others (to take the place of God), remained “by the broken washtub”. Conclusion. This study made it possible to expand the understanding of the intertextual connections of the novel by V. Nabokov, to clarify the author’s concept of crime and punishment. Keywords: Nabokov, Pushkin, literature of Russian emigration, wind / storm motive, intertextuality | 1812 | |||||
| 5226 | Introduction. The training of a new generation of highly educated personnel capable of acquiring and reproducing knowledge requires fundamental changes in the assessment of cadet learning outcomes. Knowledge control involves assessing the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by cadets, while quality control aims at determining the level and enhancing the professional skills of teachers. These areas of control are used to assess the extent to which the learning objectives have been achieved; to identify problems that cadets encounter in the learning process; to stimulate cadets’ independent work; to determine the professionalism of the teacher; to obtain information necessary for the improvement of teaching, research and methodological work. As there are no specific unified models for implementing the assessment of cadet learning achievements, the methods and means of assessment are determined by the internal regulations of the military higher education institution. In this regard, there is a need to substantiate the theoretical basis and practical experience of training methodology for controlling the learning activities of military school teachers as a factor in improving the quality of evaluating the learning achievements of cadets of the Military Institute of the National Guard Troops. This problem can be solved by using a multifunctional control of the professional training of a competence-oriented specialist. The aim is to develop and implement in educational practice a multifunctional control in assessing the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical training and competences. Material and methods. Source analysis, testing of cadets and teachers, pedagogical experiment, mathematical method of evaluating the achievements of cadets’ learning success. Results and discussion. The essence of different approaches to evaluating the learning outcomes of cadets in military higher education institutions is revealed. The main types of evaluation of the results of their educational activities are revealed: diagnostic, current, periodic (thematic), and final evaluation, and their corresponding functions – diagnostic, controlling, managerial, educational, analytical-informational, motivational, and educational – are identified. The necessity of development and implementation in educational practice of multifunctional control in evaluating the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical and professional training, was substantiated. The study has shown that the set of control functions in the educational process is a system of multifunctional control of professional training of a competent specialist, which is characterised by the integrated use of various forms and methods of control on the basis of complementarity. The didactic multifunctionality of control is ensured by the realisation of its main functions, the level of provision of which in the educational process has an impact on the growth of cadet learning efficiency. The multifunctional quality control of cadet knowledge is a holistic management tool that includes diagnosis, investigation, control and evaluation. Conclusion. This study has shown that one of the promising ways to assess the quality of training is to develop and implement in educational practice a multifunctional control in assessing the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical training and practical skills. It is based on adequate psychological and pedagogical approaches, the use of pedagogical modelling and the selection of the most effective organisational and pedagogical conditions that will ensure the effectiveness of multifunctional control of future officers’ professional training. | 5239 | Introduction. The non-verbal component in interpretation as a unit of analysis is a scientific gap. This paper studies the three-way interaction between speaker, interpreter and listener for the interpretation of gestures, body position (and its parts), which are characterized as repetitive. It is focused on the multichannel system of the information processed by the interpreter during the work and the ways of processing it. A synchrony occurs between the interpreter and the speaker during the interpretation. It shows on what extent the participants of the communication are involved in this communication. Such involvement allows the speaker to verify the result of the interpretation. It gives an understanding of the transmitted meaning and its appropriateness, since the speaker can judge by the non-verbal communication and the response of the listener. The goal is to study the non-verbal interaction between the speaker and the interpreter in the context of consecutive interpretation using the example of the emerging mimicry phenomenon of synchrony. Materials and methods. The material of the research is video clips with the participation of Krasnoyarsk interpreters with a total duration of 1 hour 57 minutes 29 seconds. Each video is an interview with the participants of the World Junior Curling Championships that was held in Krasnoyarsk in January 2020. A specialized program ELAN was used for marking up videos, which allows annotating media files according to various parameters. The method of annotation according to A. Kibrik was used to process and graphically display the results. Results and discussion. The study shows that the synchrony occurs between the interpreter and the speaker. It means that the connection was established between the participants of the communication that leads to the adoption of certain interpreting decisions. However, we managed to see the opposite situation when there is no synchrony, but there are inaccuracies in the translation or incomplete translation. Conclusion. On the basis of the analysis, an understanding of the principles of three-way interaction in conditions of multichannel information acquisition was formed. The similarity of movements, gestures and body position of the participants in communication is the adaptation of the interlocutors to the behavior of each other, which indicates their involvement and coordination of the communicative behavior of the participants. The more the communication participants are immersed in communication, the greater the level of synchrony they demonstrate. The phenomenon of synchrony is clearly demonstrated. Situations in which the interaction of the translator and the speaker turned out to be ineffective and the goal of communication was not achieved or was not fully achieved are shown using examples of emblematic, illustrative and regulatory gestures. Keywords: translation theory, intercultural communication, non-verbal communication, multimodality, gestures | 1811 | |||||
| 5240 | Introduction. The genre of idyll, which has been developing in world literature since Antiquity, is crucial for the poetics of Russian literature in the first third of the XIX century. The aesthetics of Romanticism helped it develop, and thus a romantic idyll arose. A great contribution to the development of idyll in Russia was made by V. A. Zhukovsky, the founder of Romanticism in Russian literature. The scale of the poet’s work was quite large and influenced the works of his contemporaries, among whom was N. V. Gogol, who showed considerable interest in idyllic themes in his youth. Aim and objectives. In this regard, the purpose of the article is to determine the features of V. A. Zhukovsky’s idyllic model implementation in N. V. Gogol’s early poem “Ganz Kuchelgarten”. Material and methods. The material of the study is the idyllic poem by N. V. Gogol “Ganz Kuchelgarten”, as well as the works of V. A. Zhukovsky that influenced it, including an idyll “The Village Watchman at Midnight”, “pavlovian poems”, the poems “Theon and Aeschines”, “Anguish” (“toska”), “Lalla-Rookh”, “There the heavens and waters are clear!”, the elegies “Slavyanka” and “Evening”, the romance “Desire”, the song “Traveller”, the article “About a simple and decorated style”. Biographical and comparative research methods are used in the work. Results and discussion. The genre of idyll is very close to V. A. Zhukovsky. An idyllic worldview exists organically in his poetic consciousness. The period of the poet’s strong interest in idyll is synchronized with his youth. In his youth, he draws new poetic forms mainly from European idylls. In them Zhukovsky is attracted by images of simple, everyday life, focus on rural nature, patriarchal mores. The poet is especially inspired by the natural philosophical aspects. The distinctive features of Zhukovsky’s works created in this genre are descriptiveness, an abundance of static natural paintings, free verse. In addition, we will separately highlight the author’s aim at reproducing the natural dynamics of life. The poet acts as a painter who strives to convey in his paintings the smallest details of the inner nature life. However, this is only an explicit part of Zhukovsky’s idylls. Their implicit part is much more important. By it we mean the sacred, the religious and the mystical. We see a certain evolution of Zhukovsky’s idyll. From the glorification of landscapes and the depiction of human life in the bosom of nature, the poet consciously moves to a more complex creative stage, focusing on the mystical and listening to his religious feeling. As for other features of the idyll genre in Zhukovsky’s work, like contrast or two-worldness of romanticism, the works of this genre translated by him are an alloy, a synthesis of the beautiful and the enigmatic in the world. It is no coincidence that many of them open with night landscapes. These were the features of the idyll genre implementation in Zhukovsky’s creative system. It was under their influence that N. V. Gogol wrote his first work, the poem “Ganz Kuchelgarten”. Zhukovsky’s idyllic model in Gogol’s poem “Ganz Kuchelgarten” is identified almost immediately. This is confirmed, firstly, by the topos of the poem (rural hinterland). Secondly, by the fact that the reader is shown pictures of pastoral life. It is also important that at the beginning of the poem there is an image of the family (patriarchy is an important aspect of the idyll). In addition, Gogol’s poem reveals other traditional topos for idyll (house, garden). Following the example of Zhukovsky, Gogol uses the motifs of food, sleep and music in the work. They are widely represented in the text and emphasize the idyllic moments of the poem. The heroic series can also be considered traditional for the idyll (the canons of which in Russian literature were first laid by Zhukovsky), since the author’s detailed representation of Louise’s family is following an idyllic orientation to the fullness of life, which here is the integrity of the family. The poem shows the desire of the characters to achieve happiness, they dream of an idyllic life. However, romantic features are more visible in the main character of the poem. And yet it lacks the passion of Byron’s heroes. At the end, Ganz rather follows the line of behavior of Aeschines, embodied by Zhukovsky. Conclusion. Thus, Gogol, when working on his youthful poem “Ganz Kuchelgarten”, was guided by the idyllic model of Zhukovsky. This is indicated by the traditional elements of the poet’s idylls, which are clearly present in Gogol’s text (the image of a family, pastoral landscapes, natural cycles, the motif of food, sleep and childhood). However, Gogol ignores some important elements inherent in Zhukovsky’s idylls. So, Gogol’s main character demonstrates the features of a romantic hero rather than an idyllic one. In addition, there is no pronounced mystical veil in Gogol’s poem. And finally, dissonance (the substratum of the romantic and idyllic) is certainly felt in it. The reason for it lies in the insufficiently thought-out compilation of leading European and Russian writers’ artistic techniques. Keywords: N. V. Gogol, V. A.
