It is shown that in broadband transistor amplifiers with minimum-phase two-port compensation networks, a non-minimum-phase shift of transistor does not signifi¬cantly influences phase and transient responses. Thus, the design of amplifiers with desired phase and transient responses can be reduced to providing a suitable ampli¬tude-frequency characteristic, as in the case of mini¬mum-phase circuits. The design examples of ultra-wideband amplifiers with prescribed phase and transient responses are presented.

Such approach allowes for the feedback by monitoring and analysis of dynamics of competence-based portraits. Regular research of the state of portraits at different stages of training gives the opportunity to trace the trend of development of competences of a certain student, and the use of classification procedure allows for the reception of the idea about the portrait distribution of the whole group.

The article deals with the dynamics of the image of the profession substantial characteristics at different stages of professional education involving certain types of crises. The structure and nature of the interaction between the obligatory and facultative descriptors of image of profession in each group is analyzed in the article. Kritskaya Nadezhda Vadimovna FROM THE HISTORY OF RUSSIAN-ENGLISH LITERAL TRANSLATION (PECULIARITIES OF INTERPRETATION OF I. A. KRYLOV’S FABLES BY W. R. S. RALSTON) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 112-116

Key peculiarities of literal prose translations of I. A. Krylov’s fables by well-known English slavist and interpreter W. R. S. Ralston are discussed in the article. The book Krilof and his Fables, first issued in 1869, enjoyed a great success and added a considerable contribution to propaganda of Russian culture in England. Lexical, syntactical, and stylistic features of the English texts, as well as difficult for translation cases of rendering of realities and proper names are studied. An attempt to explain the author’s choice of literal (exact) translation against the background of free Russian-English interpretations of the time is provided from the historical point of view. The article shows, that literal prose translation of Russian verse, however condemned as imperfect by modern translatology, was a successful and necessary step in its time, aimed at introducing a famous Russian writer to English readers. Ralston’s attempt was even more significant considering the traditional attitude of British authors to regard the fable as literary genre not just prone to, but also welcoming free interpretational transformations. Objectively lacking idiom, imagery and humour of the original, prose versions of Ralston, nevertheless, retrieved at least the true idea of the original fables contents and provided the readers with reliable image of Russian life and folklore.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept memory in a comparative aspect of silver age poets’ writing such as N. S. Gumilyev and A. A. Akhmatova. The concept is analyzed on the basis of intertextual associativesemantic fields modeling that allow to identify different semantic aspects of the concept and individual author’s peculiarities of association. The result of research showed that common lexemes, that correspond to the usual meaning of the lexem memory, for poetic creativiy by A. A. Akhmatova and N. S. Gumilyev are the following areas of association: memory as a memory of anything (about love, about the events that happened earlier, about objects of the surrounding world, about time of action, etc.); memory as the total of the experience gained by the person or people; memory features. In the poetry of A. A. Akhmatova memory about the events of the past is painted emotionally due to sensual perception of the poetess. In her poems the relation of the concept memory with heart and soul becomes actual. In the poems by N. S. Gumilyev memory is connected not only with past time, but with future time too, with deep or archetypal memory, and it is of great importance for the poet, because it is the focus of experiences, thoughts, feelings, stimulating creative activity and correlates with knowledge.

The principles developed are interconnected and interdependent on theoretical and methodical levels. They complement and synergize each other. The substantiation provided extends and complements the understanding of the structure of the sports training aspects. At present the theory and methods of sports distinguishes the following aspects of sports training: technical, tactical, psychological, intellectual, integral ones; general and special physical training. Each of them has its aims and special means and methods of implementation. The preset article provides scientific substantiation of the process of using restorative and preventive means of sports training and regards the process as an essential component of sports training, which is interconnected with other components of the training.

The research concerns the problems of applying textbooks with online components in the organization of selfguided work of students learning foreign languages at non-linguistic universities under modern conditions. We believe that the competences described in the Federal State Standard of Higher Education can not be fully developed in students lacking the necessary knowledge of a foreign language after finishing their secondary education. One more relevant problem arises here, the one of the equalization of the initial level of students’ language skills. The institutions of higher education used to solve this problem by running a correction course, but due to the reduction in the amount of contact hours, we believe it is advisable to organize such work outside the classroom. Such changes will require a careful choice of textbooks. Therefore, we suggest applying a model of work with English textbooks having online components in the organization of students’ self-guided work. We analyze the results of the experiment aimed at the approbation of the technique in question and illustrate them by the statistical data obtained by testing the experimental and control groups. We prove that most language skills improve considerably due to the use of computer learning. Moreover, this pedagogical technique contributes to growing motivation and results in developing necessary competences prescribed by the State standard.

The article analyses a possibility to use the stem-building suffix -ein- in the function of the definite article in the gothic language. This suffix is based on the Indo-European pronominal root that used to have a demonstrative meaning (Jener-Deixis). Further use of the suffix -n- as a marker of relation to something resulted in its development into a marker of a constant, typical feature of a thing or a being that made them definite. The meaning of definiteness expressed by the suffix is revealed if one compares the use of abstract nouns derived from the same root and belonging to different declension types in the gothic language.
