Voytovich I.K. INFORMATIZATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL: MILESTONES AND ACADEMIC RESULTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 8 (149). P. 51-55

The article describes the experience of the informatization of foreign language education at the university. Five stages of this process resulted in the generated information and communication competence of teachers, development of e-learning courses based on different technologies and e-learning formats. The author shows that the computerization of education is a long-term, continuous and consistent process that requires systemic and stakeholder actions both on the part of the administration of the university and its faculty. In practice, it was verified that in a weak material and technical base the informatization of education can and should begin with professional development of teachers in ICT. In the course of this study it was also proved that hybrid or blended learning technology, combining traditional face-to-face classes with remote access to electronic educational resources, is preferable in teaching foreign languages.

Gubaydullina A.N. IMAGE OF CROCODILE IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN SIBERIAN LITERATURE FOR CHILDREN. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 2 (179). P. 108-113

In the twentieth century the literature for children creates its own tradition of using of crocodile image. Korney Chukovskiy pioneered the use of this image. His version of the character has become very well known, researchers have linked it with the manifestation of the spirit of St. Petersburg. In the second half of the century, the authors repeatedly use the image of crocodile. It makes sense to refer literary works that explore this type, such as a book by K. A. Bogdanov “About crocodiles in Russia. Sketches from the history of borrowing and exoticisms” (2006). This animalistic exoticism reflects the intention of poetry to express the absurd, paradoxicalness. The latest Siberian literature for children also uses this exotic image. We explore texts of poems by several autors of contemporary Siberian poetry for children such as Bergelson, Sirotin, Eroshin, Olear in order to illustrate changes in the mythology of crocodile, and in the deployment of this icon. Conflict of friend-or-foe is developing in the regional literature. Rare animal loses its naturalistic features. In poems this monster is able to evolve constantly. This paper presents the typology of the different animalistic signs, describes the process of image formation. It is an attempt to develop a theoretical basis for the perception of this image. The study concludes that the image of crocodile expresses many symbolic meanings of particularly convincing way, with preservation of artistic and emotional integrity.

Shabanova I.A., Kovaleva S.V., Poleshchuk O.K., Minich A.S., Yakutina D.V. SITUATIONAL TASKS IN TRAINING OF FUTURE CHEMISTRY TEACHERS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 12 (189). P. 92-99

The use of situational problems in the study of methods of teaching chemistry at a pedagogical university is described, and their significance in training of students for professional activity is characterized. The definition and the structure of the situational task is given, its components are singled out. Specific features of differentiated questions to the texts of situational tasks and their use in the training process is described, the character of the cognitive activity of the students when performing different tasks are singled out, specific examples of tasks are given. The availability of the content of the tasks for students, the features of the choice of differentiated tasks, the conditions for their fulfillment, as well as the students’ interest in creative cognitive activity are revealed on the basis of the questionnaire. The tasks of the first level are aimed at reproduction of theoretical knowledge, in the process of their implementation, the reproductive nature of students’ activity prevails.. These tasks are used to repeat theoretical material in practical exercises, seminars or remotely. They contribute to the formation of practical skills and the skills in drawing up summaries of lessons and didactic materials. Tasks of the second level of complexity allow you to integrate materials from different educational areas, which are necessary to solve certain situations. When performing such tasks, the partial search character of students’ cognitive activity predominates and practical skills and skills in developing and compiling methodological materials are improved. Tasks of the third level of complexity develop the ability to analyze information, generalize and systematize it, draw conclusions based on the initial data and justify them. At the same time, there is a deepening and further development of the skills in developing didactic materials, taking into account modern requirements for school chemical education. When performing such tasks, the search activity, creative and authorial approach dominates and the originality in their solution is manifested.

Isaev A.A. THE CELEBRATION OF THE GREAT OCTOBER REVOLUTION IN THE FAR EAST OF THE USSR IN THE 1930S, AS A PART OF POLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL WORK AMONG THE POPULATION OF THE REGION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 1 (190). P. 203-210

Based on archival materials the process of preparation and celebration in the Far East of the USSR in the 1930s of one of the main Soviet holidays - the Great October Socialist Revolution is considered. The Soviet authorities actively used the traditions of holidays and festive rites as one of the important aspects of political, ideological and psychological treatment of the population. In the 1930s. this holiday in its political and ideological aspect was aimed not so much to revive the events of the recent past, as to draw public attention to the pressing state tasks and to stimulate labor and patriotic impulses of the masses in both central regions of the country and in the provinces. The Far East did not stay away from the all-Union festive tradition. The local party and economic authorities through the creation of festive commissions conducted a broad political and ideological (talks, newspaper readings, meetings with participants in revolutionary events, the publications of the festive issues of newspapers, festive broadcasts on radio, etc.), mass organizational and preparatory (cleaning and decoration of streets, squares, buildings of settlements, decoration of columns of demonstrations, replenishment of stores with goods and products, timely payment of salaries, bonuses of the best workers) work on the eve of and during the holiday. Reporting documentation of the Soviet economic authorities clearly demonstrates the successes and omissions in the celebration of the Great October Revolution in the region in the 1930s.

Sokolova Y.A. FORMATION OF SOCIO-CULTURAL ADAPTATION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PRACTICE-ORIENTED PROJECT “WE ARE IN RUSSIA”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 7 (204). P. 130-139

Introduction. Currently, within the world market of higher education, the number of foreign students admitted each year is one of the main indicators of a successful university. Therefore, it is important to study cultural adaptation of foreign students during the course of their education at Russian universities. There is a growing need for new methods of training that stimulate individual adaptation. Project activities as part of teaching Russian as a foreign language proved to be the most effective method of socio-cultural adaptation. The study examined specific problems and peculiarities related to the process of adaptation of foreign students during the course of their education. The language barrier was identified as the main difficulty. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the feasibility of project activities implemented in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The goal of these activities was to improve social and cultural adaptation of foreign students and to demonstrate how positive results were obtained during the experiment. Materials and methods. The study was based on personality-oriented, systematic and dialogue-and-activity approaches. Common scientific methods used were: questioning, comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization. The main methodology was project-based learning. Results and discussion. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the application of the method of project training in the course of Russian as a foreign language in the framework of a long-term practice-oriented project for the formation of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students at the II certification level. The specificity of project training in the conditions of formation of social and cultural adaptation of foreign students is defined. The scientific idea of project training in the field of Russian as a foreign language is concretized. The study reviewed a group of factors affecting the process of adaptation. Adaptation, as applied to the educational environment of a university, is defined as a diverse process resulting from many factors such as: admissions, development and personality growth of foreign students within the educational space. The study investigated the basic concepts of project-based learning and proved the efficiency of project activities during the course of studying Russian as a foreign language. The practice oriented project “We are in Russia” was presented as an examples of the tools used in the process of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students. The study showed that the program of the project is successful in encouraging foreign students to further study in Russian at a Russian university. Moreover, the program proved useful in helping foreign students who already spoke Russian at certificate levels 1 and 2 adapt better. The necessity of including project activities in the educational process of this category of students was substantiated. The study expands our scientific understanding of the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. It also offers teachers of Russian language an opportunity to choose the correct tools in order to facilitate adaptation within a changing educational environment, and also serves as the basis for further research in the field of professional training of teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Publication materials provide teachers of Russian as a foreign language an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the potential and diversity of project-based training practices while adapting to the conditions of a specific educational institution. Conclusion. The proposed method is aimed at eliminating the negative effects of the external environment while allowing the individual to adapt to the changing social environment. Sidash V.V., Kritskaya N.V. FEATURES OF V. PELEVIN’S IDIOSTYLE IN ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF “GENERATION “P””. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 4 (222). P. 34-40

Introduction. Relevance of the research is determined by the interest of modern linguistics and translation science in search of effective ways of preserving author’s individual style in translation. Aim and objectives. The present paper attempts to discuss A. Bromfield’s ways and decisions to render the principal features of V. O. Pelevin’s individual style in “Generation P” postmodernist novel. Materials and methods. The research is based on two text sources: the Russian original text of “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin and its English version “Homo Zapiens” (transl. A. Bromfield). The methods applied are general scientific (observation and description) and linguistic (text analysis, comparative analysis). Results and discussion. Rendering of author’s idiostyle features is one of the basic tasks of literary translation. Novel “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin’s, marked by intertextuality and syncretism of style and narration characteristic of Russian postmodernist paradigm, strikes the reader with own specific eclecticism, word play, multi-layered picture of reality, plentiful quotations and allusiveness. The challenging attempt of Russian-English literary translation by British interpreter A. Bromfield, trying to restore V. Pelevin’s idiostyle principal features manifested in plexus of expressive means and stylistic devices, is discussed in the article. Conclusion. In authors’ view, some minor flaws in rendering of V. Pelevin’s idiostyle may be caused by incompleteness of comprehension of “Generation “P”” text, loaded by multifaceted linguistic affluence of style. The most sensitive omission for the author’s idiostyle is probably zero translation of English insertions as principal features of Pelevin’s bilingual narration, as well as the decision to neutralize some colloquialism.

In clause theoretical development of problems of the social state in works of the German doctor of the right, the sociologist and economist Lorentz von Stein (1815-1890)which is the pioneer and classic of the European model “state of social assistance” is discussed. The scientific heritage, especially development of the social doctrine of a society , exactly the basic conclusion about its evolution in a social direction, take the important place in the European and international political ideas, exceeding the bounds of a concrete research object, and space and time of his epoch. The urgency of a theme is caused by a modern active discussion of prospects of paradigms change of the European model of the social state from « the state of the social assistance» to « the state of investments», but appeals of refusing the archaic social policy, which leads to “excessive social expenses” do not find unanimous support. Moreover, it is very important for the post Soviet countries to study origins of “social states”, because the scientific development of a problem only is in the process of beginning.

It is completely reversible, in the classical case, possessing a most natural cloning operation counterpart. We call this deleting procedure R-deletion since, in a way, it can be viewed as a 'randomization' of the standard C-not operator. It has the remarkable property of by¬passing in a simple manner the 'impossibility of deletion of a quantum state' principle, put forward by Pati and Braunstein [1].

Kuznetsov P.M. MARKETING COMMUNICATION BARRIERS AND SPECIFICS OF THE RUSSIAN CUSTOMER. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 5 (158). P. 52-59

The article deals with the Russian customers’ types with the specific features, peculiar to each type. General peculiarities, which represent modern Russian mentality and can be used to distinguish Russian customers from those of Europe and the USA, are considered too. These are, first of all, the large income-contrast between wealthy minority and poor majority of Russian population (there is a distinct stratification of Russian society), priority of material wellbeing and the lack of trust to advertising. These peculiarities are considered in the context of the marketing communication barriers, which occur in process of marketing message recognition by customers. There are five consequentially occurring barriers: attention; understanding; trusting; remembering and first actions. We analyze them in three aspects: 1) the influence of four factors, which characterize the marketing message, showing its quality and efficiency (these are form, contents, technical facilities and organization of the massage); 2) the influence of Russian customers’ peculiarities, which determine the smooth or hard coming of marketing message over this or that barrier of marketing communications; 3) making the set of marketing communication instruments, which could be most effective to overcome each barrier. As the result, we conclude that the stratification of Russian society into wealthy minority and poor majority is now the most actual peculiarity, which influence passing the four (of five) existing barriers and determines the set of marketing communication instruments for overcoming each of them.

Shutova A.V. CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS OF A LITERARY TEXT AS A BASIS FOR SHAPING A STUDENT’S TEXTUAL COMPETENCE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 11 (188). P. 41-45

The main idea of the article is a statement that mastering the basics of conceptual analysis by high-school students enables them to acquire textual competence. Nowadays, there is no standard definition of the term ‘concept’; there are several methods of conceptual analysis. A concept is something versatile. In various fields of studies, researchers draw special attention to one or another aspect of the concept. The article presents a review of some methods of carrying-out a conceptual analysis of a text and of a word generally accepted both in cognitive linguistics and cognitive poetics and in the Russian language teaching methods. The author proposes an improved version of conceptual analysis worked out in accordance with communicative stylistics of the text. This version is adapted to the practical issues of shaping text competences of students at school. This method is illustrated by the example of the concept ‘death’ verbalized in the poem of O. E. Mandelstam. Such kind of work should be given as part of an elective course taking into account that this kind of activity is not included in the curriculum. The course of work is controlled by the teacher because the students need a teacher to explain scientific terms to them, as well as to help them with step-by-step performance of the exercise. It is important to use diverse dictionaries (definition dictionaries, etymological dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms, of antonyms and others). The goal at this stage is to find necessary dictionary entries and to analyze them to discover coincidences / distinctions in semantics and actual meaning of the key units that actualize the principal attributes of the concept and are reflected in the vocabulary and in the poem of the poet. Equally important is the final stage of the work which is to generalize and to formulate the author’s own opinion on the content of the concept. The article may be interesting for the students of pedagogical universities and the Russian language teachers.

Fridman D. ECHOES OF DOSTOEVSKY AND BLOK IN NIKOLAI ERDMAN’S “THE SUICIDE”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2011. Issue 7 (109). P. 19-26

Customarily one speaks of the influence that great Russian playwrights like Gogol, Sukhovo-Kobylin and Ostrovsky had on Nikolai Erdman. But it can be shown that Erdman also knew well the works of other classic writers, such as Fyodor Dostoevsky and Alexander Blok. This becomes clear when conducting even a simple analysis of Dostoevsky’s “The Devils,” Blok’s famous essays on revolution and Erdman’s “The Suicide.” Dostoevsky’s Kirillov and Erdman’s Podsekalnikov are both individuals that others seek to push into the act of committing suicide for the general good. By the same token, one can even find the germ of the basic plot complication in Erdman’s play in one of Blok’s essays. Any of Erdman’s characters who have a vested interest in Podsekalnikov’s death could easily have uttered this phrase from Blok: “How can I object to a person who has been driven to suicide by the demands of individualism, demonism, aesthetics or, finally, the most concrete, most banal need of despair and anguish?” The point, however, is not so much that we can find echoes reverberating among the works of Erdman, Dostoevsky and Blok, but rather that these echoes allow us to determine that Erdman’s task in writing “The Suicide” was far greater than just to write a satire. In “The Suicide” Erdman created his own artistic universe which embodies his own unique philosophical world view.

Kafanova O.B. THE CULTURAL COSMOS OF TRANSLATIONS BY N. M. KARAMZIN: AUTHORS, COUNTRIES, CONTINENTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 7 (184). P. 150-159

The relevance of studying the translation heritage of N. M. Karamzin consists in his inseparability from the whole work of the great figure of Russian culture. The task of the proposed article is an attempt to generalize the presentation of all translations of Karamzin as a cultural cosmos, which contains dozens of authors, countries and the main continents. He was engaged in translation for over twenty years (he translated about 300 texts), constantly referring not only to European literature, but also to Asian, African and American cultures. The «world-wide responsiveness» of Karamzin as a writer and an interpreter was formed already in the «Moscow Journal» (1791-1792), the edition of a new type taking into consideration the experience of European periodicals. To carry out the novelty Karamzin used the translations thoroughly picked up and correlating with the original pieces. Thanks to the ambivalent role of a writer and a translator Karamzin was able to create an author journal aimed at the maintaining sentimentalism. In the «Messenger of Europe» (1802–1803) by N. M. Karamzin the translations helped to form not only a literary part, but also a section of Politics. Long before the genesis of the concept of «globalism», Karamzin had made an attempt to perceive the world in its unity. He was encouraged by his trip to Europe, personal acquaintance and contacts with the eminent representatives of European culture as well as by his intense translation activity.

Today’s school objectives to teach students to learn suppose developing of internal motivation among students. The priority motives of students of juvenile age are as follows: interest in the new; aspiration to fulfill one’s potential; necessity to understand the training material; significance of the studied material for improvement of personal experience. The content of mathematics education plays an important role in the search for the means of internal motivation of training activity. At the same time not only training skills but also ways of cognitive activity should act as the content of education. The unit of the content of education is a teaching text. It is the teaching text that can initiate active motivated intellectual activity of students. But not every teaching text can act as the factor of motivation of training activity. It should be a teaching text based on a psychodactical approach which would allow to identify the types of teaching texts that create the conditions for motivating training activities at its different stages. The study showed that the texts for students of grades 5 to 9, aimed at enriching the various forms of students’ mental experience (cognitive, conceptual, metacognitive, emotional-evaluative), make it possible to motivate students’ training activities at different stages. For example, such types of texts as «text as an encoding of information», «text as motivation», «text as an assessment and choice of features of the concept», «text as establishing links between concepts», «text as a programme», «text as means of self-monitoring», «text as a choice of mode of operation», «text as a choice of cognitive position», etc. guide students in their cognitive activities at the current stage of the development of school mathematical education.

The relevance of the article is determined by the need to develop environmental education and coordinate its various directions through creating the regional systems of continuous environmental education. Nowadays, despite a large number of works of such authors as A. N. Zakhlebny, E. N. Dzyatkovskaya, S. V. Alekseev, N. M. Mamedov and others devoted to the subject under study, an integral system of continuous environmental education has not yet been developed. The aim of our work is to specify this problem within the framework of environmental and chemical education and to single out its goals and objectives for various educational levels (school – institutions of additional education – technical college – advanced training courses). Certain elements of the continuous regional system of environmental and chemical education were first realized in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In particular, the ecological character of the school course of Chemistry within the regional component of education was obtained, the continuity of the Bachelor and Master degree programs in the technical university was achieved, the students’ project activities on various levels of environmental and chemical education were effectively integrated. It is shown that the interaction of higher educational institutions, schools and institutions of additional education for children, all in all make the objective results of schoolchildren better and contribute to their early professional orientation. The directions of the activities for school teachers’ refresher courses in the sphere of ecological and chemical education were determined; the functions of the scientific and educational ecological center that coordinates the environmental education in the Republic of Bashkortostan, were defined.

Pankratova L.V. About the Periodization of the Early Iron Age in Surgut Ob’ River Basin. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2007. Issue 3 (66). P. 141-144

Cultural-historical periodization of the early Iron Age in Surgut Ob’ river basin developed by J.P. Chemyakin is viewed in the article. The author of the article raises an objection against the names of the stages of Kulay culture of the Iron Age of the region. The analysis of the periodizations of the epoch of the yearly Iron Age of Ob-Irtysh basin shows that extracted by the archeologists cultural formations are synchronous just in part. Formation of Kulay culture in Surgut Ob’ river basin is connected with penetration of migrants whereas in Narym Ob’ river basin Kulay culture has autochthonous basis. This peculiarity of the early stage of the region’s epoch should be reflected in its name and the name of the early stage of Kulay culture should stay the same as it is in literature.
