This paper deals with innovative approaches to practical phonetics teaching. Articulatory phonetics: different structures of the vocal tract, called the articulators (tongue, lips, jaw, palate, teeth etc.) have been studied. Auditory phonetics: methods of sound production and reception – the ear to the brain and those processes have been analyzed. Acoustic phonetics: acoustic aspects of speech sounds like the mean squared amplitude of a waveform, its duration, its fundamental frequency, and other properties of its frequency spectrum, have been investigated. Neuro-linguistic programming has been described as one of the innovative approaches in the study of phonetics.

The article substantiates the need for a project competence in teacher’s personal resource. It is noted that fixed in the federal state educational standard of higher education requirements for students’ project competencies involve the selection of adequate to the content of these requirements methods of pedagogical work on their formation. The paper reconstructs the experience of developing the project competence of philology students in the process of organizing educational events in the practice of collaboration between tertiary and secondary educational institutions. The article considers the influence of many associated factors which are of scientific and practical interest and represented in the form of the concept of the multilevel assessment of the potential of interaction between labour market and the market for vocational education services in the reproduction process of a primary labor resource (a young specialist). The analysis, systematization and constant monitoring of the results of the methodological approach to the potential assessment of interaction between labour market and education market allow the government to get the right information at the macro- and meso-levels for adjustment and planning of criteria of the reproduction process of young specialists as a specific category of the workforce. It is substantiated that this approach allows the state and its subjects to obtain the necessary information at the macro- and meso-levels to adjust and plan the parameters of the reproduction process of young specialists as a specific category of the labor force and serves as an instrument for managing the interaction of the subjects of the regional markets for vocational education and labor services. Thus, it is shown that effective training of young specialists is implemented to a greater extent in the regions with a favorable demographic structure of the employed population, whose potential is used more rationally in terms of minimizing the costs of unemployment, on the one hand, and the use of incentives for productive labor, aimed at advancing growth of labour productivity over the wage growth with further improvement in the implementation of its reproductive and stimulating functions, on the other hand. In conclusion, the article points out that effective training of labor resources is relevant not only for industry but also for the region in particular, as the economic space of the Russian Federation as a whole is characterized by considerable differentiation in the socio-economic development of the regions.

On the basis of the pseudopotential method and the phenomenological model of coupling intervalley transitions in the conduction band of superlattices (GaAs)m(AlAs)n(001), caused by interface and trapped in the layers of the optical vibrations of the atoms were investigated. The analysis of quantum size effects in the electron and phonon states was done, dependence of the deformation potentials of the composition and thickness of the layer superlattices was defined. It is shown that the intervalley Г-M scattering is most intensive when the wave functions of electrons and the polarization vector of the phonons are localized in the same layers of superlattice. Interface oscillations occur in superlattices with a sufficiently thick layers and cause a relatively weak intensity of T-Ј transitions of electrons from the central valley to the upper conduction bands.

In this article we analyse specifics of functioning of the so-called verbative synlexes (steady combinative neutral nominative units of language which arise and are used in texts of different functional styles; analytical analogs of the verbs) in publicistic texts placed in the National case of Russian. The object of the statistical analysis is the following units: “brat’ (vzyat’) v arendu chto-libo”, “brat’ (vzyat’) za obrazets chto-libo”, “brat’ (vzyat’) za pravilo, chto-libo, chto delat’”; “brat’ (vzyat’) pod kontrol’ kogo-libo/chto-libo”. Also we consider some general features of the use of the verbative synlexes and illustrate them with the examples from the publicistic texts: the verbative synlex as the only unit of nomination, synonymy of the verbative synlexes and the verbs, the adjective as an element of structure of the verbative synlex.

The history of volunteer practices in prerevolutionary Russia is among the major problems that attract increasing attention of researchers. The need to study them is caused not only by scientific, but also by the practical need for a deeper consideration of volunteer activity in the system of charitable institutions and public organizations. The statutes and reports of these organizations are valuable sources, significantly broadening and refining our understanding of the history of volunteerism in Russia in the second half of the 19th century. Reflecting the nature of society itself, they contain information about their composition (quantitative and personal), organizational structure, subordinate organizations and activities, as well as practices of public volunteers. Thanks to the availability of such a document as the charter, members of the society first got an idea of the procedure for using the rights granted to them and the sphere of application of volunteer efforts and free labor. Introduction. The study of discourse typology is one of the advanced research lines in communicative linguistics. Engineering communication is becoming a subject of increased focus for linguists due to its rapid development driven by dynamic changes in technology, society and industry, which is resulted in continuous exchange of information between the members of the engineering society. Despite the significant number of discourse studies in different social institutions, engineering discourse remains an understudied area as Russian researchers traditionally consider it as a part of the scientific or scientific and technical discourse. In view of the fact that discourse is translated into certain genres, and genres, in turn, are always included into a certain discourse field, authors propose the idea that the engineering discourse provides a series of particular core genres which reflect the values, strategy and information of engineering communication and make it distinct from the scientific discourse. The paper addresses the distinguishing characteristics in lexical organization of the technical standard to reveal the fact that the genre of standard meets the goals of engineering communication. Material and methods. As the empiric material of the research 184 pages of running Russian standards for the engineering technology and equipment were used. The texts of the standards were exploited as the subject matter for discourse analysis. Content analysis as a general research technique provided the identification of the quantitative aspect in the lexical structure of technical standards. The efficiency of this technique was proven by international schools of discourse analysis and by national researchers as well. Results and discussion. The analysis of the lexical structure of standards revealed the key discursive aspects of the studied genre, which identified the standard as a core genre of engineering discourse. Conclusion. As to performed analysis, the technical standard genre meets the primary goal of professional communication in the engineering field. The peculiar characteristics of the genre studied are determined by the demands of discourse and communicative situation as well.

The paper presents a comparative analysis of the components of adaptive pedagogy and inclusive education. The paper deals with some common problems we face when teaching adult language learners, in particular learners who have considerable experience of studying but still seem to be stuck at the lower levels of elementary and pre-intermediate due to their low self-esteem, high level of anxiety, and fear of making mistakes. Adult learners face difficulties when listening to the target language. Nevertheless, the types and the extent of difficulty differ and much listening comprehension research has been conducted to investigate these differences. The results of this body of research show that listener difficulties may be influenced by a number of factors.

Petrochenko L.A. EXPRESSIVE MEANS OF MODERN ENGLISH WORD-FORMATION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 11 (176). P. 72-75

The article deals with the peculiarities of rhyming compounds which are usually used as a means of speech expressiveness, but don’t belong to the system of rhyming slang. Rhyming compounds represent the group of minor types of word-formation in Modern English. The members of the group are less important in comparison with the other ways of replenishing the English vocabulary, but they play an important role in the field of expressive means of language. The meaning of rhyming compounds is diverse and often unpredictable; they usually denote quantity or intensity. Rhyming compounds are formed by repetition of roots with some changes in the vowels or/and consonants. The system of the word-formation type in question is rather stable and tends to increase.

The article is devoted to the research of the problem of studying of spiritual imperatives of art and publicistic works of F. M. Dostoyevsky at the lessons of literature considering priority tasks of national educational policy in the field of spiritual and moral education and education, setting for creation of students’ motivation for conscious moral behavior through acquaintance with classical works of the Russian literature of the 19th century. The study of the spiritual imperatives of creative work of Dostoyevsky can become the base of spiritual and moral education, forming of valuable structure of the personality in the situation of the accrescent challenges, loss of capability of cultural and world outlook self-identification. Acquaintance of students with the work of the writer shall begin in the advanced teenage age when the request for a conversation on values and meanings is personally staticized. The optimum form of the organization of the effective work on studying of spiritual imperatives of the art and publicistic works of Dostoyevsky is a dialogue, a discussion, the search by the teacher and the student of joint decisions, the aspiration for self-determination and self-analysis. In the work with personal value orientation of the teacher on creation of the serious substantial base of studying of the writer’s works the following aspects are important: knowledge of biographical context of Dostoyevsky’s life, idea of formation stages of valuable and world outlook features of the person, studying of conceptual contents of the writer’s works, knowledge of specifics of the Russian literature formation.
