| 4454 | The article presents the overview of resources in practical phonetics published in Russia over the period of sixteen years. In this study far from the critical review we conclude the main problems typical for Russian pronunciation training. We found the traditional ways of teaching phonetics and defined their advantages and drawbacks. The article is an attempt at taking a comparative look at the treatment of English tones in a sample of ten teaching resources through the time of sixteen years. The selection of English tones for the analyses is for their notoriety in the context of learning by Russians. After analyzing the teaching resources we found the balanced treatment of segments and suprasegments which is definitely a great advantage of time. Also a positive moment is an equal treatment of pronunciation together with grammar and lexis. However till present days we can state the over-use of drill-like pronunciation activities, where the repetitive and mechanical practice is still the weakness of the analyzed pronunciation materials. Traditional drill-based activities are so far fruitful but the modern way of education demands inclusion of communicative pronunciation-oriented activities in the learning practice. The occasional use of consciousness-raising and self-monitoring activities is still a typical feature of phonetic classes all over Russian universities. It is a strong call for incorporation of confidence building and reflective activities in the pronunciation training. | 4455 | The article considers the way linguistic and cultural knowledge is used in translation and justifies the need to view a translator as a professional native and foreign language user. Similarly, it is important to recognize the specific character of translator’s language knowledge because, firstly, it is a tool in a professional cross-cultural mediation in translation; secondly, it provides the basis for the acquisition, development and functioning of translation skills. An attempt is made to identify the characteristics of translator’s linguacultural knowledge relevant to the process of code-switching, which should be viewed as the switching of linguacultural codes in order to reflect the interlingual and cross-cultural aspects of translation. Based on the analysis of the mental processes and mechanisms of linguacultural switching the following characteristics of translator’s lingualcultural knowledge have been proposed. Chunk-based language knowledge is represented by communicative chunks and communicative contours and is able to improve access, activation and retrieval of linguistic knowledge, error control, the functioning of radiant thinking and spreading activation. Frame-based knowledge of a foreign language creates the framework for probabilistic forecasting, facilitates direct access to conceptual representations in a foreign language, raises its activation level and reduces its dependence on the native language, as well as improving integration of linguistic and conceptual information into semantic memory. Systemic language knowledge means knowing a language as a system of dependencies and connections and ensures distinctness, flexibility and mobility of language knowledge. Language awareness involves the ability to pay attention to language forms, reflect on language, patterns and specific character of its functioning. Such awareness develops the skill of separating two languages and cultures, improves language and error control and prevents linguistic interference. Functional parallelism reflects the type of relationship between two language systems and is made up of systemic, communicative and operational aspects. The last characteristic involves the awareness of the linguistic factors causing breakdowns in code-switching in translation, as well as the ability to predict and deal with such problems. Collectively, the above-mentioned characteristics form the readiness and ability of a translator to code-switch. The development of these characteristics should be made part of professionally oriented foreign language teaching to trainee translators. On the discrete level, when spacetime is decomposed into the elementary 4-simplices, this means that the 4-simplices may not coincide on their common faces, that is, be independent. We apply this to the particular problem of quantization of the surface regarded as that composed of virtually independent elementary pieces (2-simplices). Material of research is the verbative synlexes with different grammatical components (“vesti”, “delat’/sdelat’”, “okazyvat’/okazat’”, “sovershat’/sovershit’” etc.). The source of this material is the dictionary by V.M. Deribas “Stable verb-and-noun collocations of Russian language” (1979). The author of this article detects and describes transforming potential of the verbative synlexes with the support of the texts of different styles and genres of XX–XXI centuries from Internet resource “National Corpus of the Russian language” (http://www.ruscorpora.ru) and uses descriptive method and method of contextual analysis. Results and discussion. The article detects and describes following types of transformations of the verbative synlexes: structural, semantic, syntactical and derivational. Structural transformations include ellipsis, contamination and enlargement of composition of synlex. Ellipsis and contamination are unusual phenomena which create comic effect and show. Enlargement of composition of synlex is the most common type of verbative synlexes’ transformation. There are the following determinative components: adjective, noun in a form of oblique case, combinations of words, numeral, infinitive. It’s necessary to use an adverb or comparison in structure of some synlexes. The author classifies adjectives as structural components of verbative synlexes based on the following criteria: 1) obligatory/optional; 2) unit/multiple; 3) commonly used/occasional; 4) thematic group affiliation; 5) function (concretizing, expressive and estimating, transforming). Semantic transformation is the development of figurative meanings for some synlexes genetically connected with professional sphere. Inversion is a syntactical transformation which brings to the forefront a substantive component of synlex – its notional center. Derivational type of transformation is a connection an expressive suffix to substantive component of synlex which make expressive the whole combination. Conclusion. Being originally neutral units verbative synlexes as a result of different transformations get expressive and estimating potential and characterize a process more accurately and in greater detail than verb. Boys and girls study program material completely differently. Girls are characterized by perseverance and versatility in solving problems. As a rule, in primary school, boys usually learn worse. As for girls, their academic performance is much higher; they are often praised by teachers. Such laudatory comments can contribute to demotivation of boys in an effort to learn well. Therefore, because of these girls’ features, the success of boys look, to put it mildly, insignificant: boys have false feelings of inferiority and girls – superiority. Some results of the project “Separate education of girls and boys on the basis of a gender approach” are presented. The realization of the project takes place in Tomsk School No. 2. The analytical model for description of time-spatial field of holographic grating during record process with taking into account of absorption and diffu¬sion processes has been created. | 1494 | |||||
| 4499 | Researches of the chromosomal organisation and polymorphism of inversion of Far East malarial mosquito A. sinensis Wiedemann a complex «hyrcanus» were carried out in Primorye Territory. During work the chromosomal map of a kind is made, marker disks are noted. Wide intraspecific chromosomal polymorphism on all parts of autosome is revealed. The analysis of polymorphism of inversion in different points of catching of larvae in the south of Primorye Territory has revealed various level of a variety of the chromosomal variants, correlating with degree of remoteness biotopes from sea coast. The greatest polymorphism is established in population in a distance from the sea (settlement Sibirtsevo); the least is in vicinities of Vladivostok; variability has intermediate character in population of mosquitoes of state Artem.
