| 4752 | Introduction. The problem of the development of educational independence of children of primary school age is posed as the basic meta-subject competence, indicated in the educational standard. As the main way of developing educational independence, it is proposed to organize cooperation of different ages between students of the second and fourth grades. Aim. Description of the experience of conducting different-age lessons and presentation of the positive impact of different-age cooperation on the formation of educational independence. Material and methods. Analysis of literature sources in order to identify effective ways of different-age cooperation; development and testing of the stages of this technology; monitoring the activities of children in differentage groups; conducting and analyzing diagnostic work. Results and discussion. The pedagogical tasks that are realized by educational communication of children of different ages are highlighted. It is shown how it is possible to organize educational sessions of different ages on the topic «Phonetics», in which schoolchildren will communicate in a pair «second grader – fourth grader», completing tasks compiled for each other. There are three stages in the organization of such educational work: preparatory, at which interesting tasks are designed and drawn up; the main one, when children interact in a couple of different ages, and the reflexive one, where educational successes and difficulties are discussed together. The cycle of classes ends with a test on a topic with an educational content common to all children. Conclusion. The results of this work are given and the relationship between the subject results and the position in which the student’s academic independence was manifested is shown. It is concluded that the interaction of children of different ages, in which both the older and younger students have the opportunity to show their active (teaching) position, has a positive effect on internal motivation, communicative and regulatory actions, as well as on subject skills. In relation to our research “components” of the above text are those language units which on the semantics and the form “… carry out in texts both esthetic, and stylistic functions” and represent “the description of the numerous stating life facts – death, health – illness, incurability reasons – curability”. The mentioned criteria in components of texts of the academic medical discourse are described through an explication of components of the evaluation which basis is made by the author’s reasonings giving “an idea of the text as about uniform semantic space” and leading to the conclusions predicted at the beginning of the text. In this paper research is conducted on the material of contexts of the American medical association journal and New England medical journal. | 4764 | The article is of great importance due to the increasing interest of modern linguistics to issues of conceptualizing time in general and in fact in the perception of representatives of different cultures. The research is conducted on the basis of the Ket language that is crucial due to the raising interest of linguists to the endangered languages. The Ket language is a unique archaic language without literacy, and the only one representing language of the Yenisey linguistic family. The goal of the research is to elicit basic cognitive metaphors of time in the Ket linguage. The research reveals crucial methods to form temporal concepts, universal biologically supported determinated features of temporal representation in the perception of a person. The research also studies occurrence of universal characteristics on the language level on the basis of the Ket language. The research studies the nouns naming time periods and components of its syntagmatic environment. On the basis of comparison of initial and resulting metaphoric meanings of lexical units, the main metaphoric models to percept time in the Ket language have been specified: dynamic language model and static language model. Dynamic language model reveals time as a space that a human passes through. In the work a model of time movement is considered as the basis for language perception because means of its expressions are frequent and regular. Statistic model is considered as less relevant because used only in literal metaphors. The main spatial time image is a straight line indicating back and forth direction. Keywords: concept, conceptualization of time, metaphors of time, the Ket language | 1883 | |||||
| 4765 | Introduction. The article provides a brief overview of the employment prospects of the technical universities graduates and describes one of the most urgent issues of modern Russian society which is the problem of successful employment of university graduates and optimal realization of their professional and personal potential. The realities of the modern Russian labor market are uncertain, so many university graduates do not have the opportunity to find a job in their specialty, to find a worthy application of the professional knowledge gained at the university. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to analyze the problems of motivation in foreign languages learning in the technical university and justify the need to develop certain measures to encourage motivation of students. Material and methods. In pedagogy and psychology, there are different approaches to understanding the essence, nature and structure of motivation. The methods of study and formulated interpretations of the concept “motivation” vary widely. In this article we analyzed pedagogical approaches, according to which motivation, actively involving students of technical higher education institution in the learning process, contributes to the formation of their foreign language competence. Results and discussion. As a result, the problem of creating certain conditions aimed at the increasing of the university graduates’ adaptability at the labor market is raised. This adaptability is based on the obtaining of additional knowledge and competencies. One of the ways to increase the competitiveness of the university graduates at the labor market is foreign language competence which is the complex of knowledge and skills that allows a university graduate to use a foreign language effectively both in professional activities and in social life. Moreover, foreign language competence is regarded today as an integral part of the general professional competence of a technical specialist. In order to obtain the optimal level of foreign language competence the authors recommend using the professional focused foreign language model which takes into account professional and language needs of technical specialists. The successful realization of professionally-focused foreign language education claims for a certain system of motivation, especially at technical universities, whose students have low motivation to study the foreign language due to the technical style of thinking and underestimation of the importance and value of foreign language knowledge in the future professional functioning. That is why the important pedagogical task is to motivate students to consciously perceive and learn a foreign language. Conclusion. Analyzing the general problems of motivation in the educational process, the authors generalize the pedagogical experience of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI). The article shows that professional development of future engineers, expansion of their socio-cultural, cognitive and informative horizons, are largely associated with the foreign language competence. The authors call for the technical universities teachers to expand the measures aimed at increasing the motivational level of students in the process of learning a foreign language. | 4787 | The article describes the origin of berry terminology in Selkup. Results of full collection of selkup words belonged to the subject lexical group “berry flora”. The analysis of these linguistic units allows tracing the development process and name formation of berries in selkup language and also to single out the principle of naming units. Further data integration makes it possible to examine the semes which are the bases of naming flora lexemes according to productivity criterion. The study was carried out due to the theory of transferring linguistic world image with the help of symbols taken from collective unconsciousness and kept the meanings of world image. The method of component analysis which reconstructed the meanings of unproductive naming units was used for analyzing. This method allows explaining the meaning of berry flora words with the help of dividing lexemes into small meaningful units. Twenty three selkup berry flora words were analyzed and there were eight principles of naming units that formed such groups as berry functioning connected with its picking up and using as a food, connection of some berries with certain kinds of birds, colour characteristics of berries, mythological ideas of selkup people, curing period and berrying, taste properties of berries. Indirect way of naming berries is dominated and underlines associative thinking of selkup people. | 4788 | The Gogol’s story “Nevsky Prospekt”, repeatedly becoming a subject of reflection for two centuries, is of interest to researchers for its multifacetedness and inexhaustible possibilities for interpretation. The author’s aim is the systematization of the story’s verbal lexicon into lexico-semantic groups and the demonstration of typological and mental differences of the characters. These differences were the subject of scientist’s reflection, however, in our view, they are not only in the ideological and semantic levels of the work, but, first of all, in the linguistic level. The author does not analyze the entire verbal lexicon, but only those verbs that are directly related to the description of the main characters - Piskarev and Pirogov. We rely on the definition of Z. D. Popova and I. A. Sternin who believe that “lexico-semantic group is a large group of words of one part of speech united by a single word-an identifier or a stable phrase-combination, whose meaning is fully included in the meaning of the remaining words of the group and which can replace the remaining words in certain contexts” [7, р. 95]. We also rely on the verbal lexicon classification, proposed in the dictionary edited by T. V. Matveyeva, considering this classification the most complete. The most frequent are the lexico-semantic groups of the following verbs: Pirogov – displacement in space (15), speech message (10), thinking (4), utterance (4), perception (6), penetration (4); Piskarev – displacement in space (40), perception (16), utterance (5), thinking (4). In addition, there are unique lexical and semantic groups for each hero. The total number of verbal lexicon in the case of Piskarev is much larger than in the case of Pirogov. That’s why Piskarev is not just a naive dreamer, but an actor who is trying to transform the surrounding reality. As a true romantic, he produces a modified (idealized) reality in his works, then – dreams, and finally he perishes, failing in the transformation of the real life and consciousness of the beauty girl. | 4789 | Introduction. Linguistic pragmatics investigates various problems of the speech behaviour organization, which are connected with the positions of the addressor and the addressee, due to their individual characteristics, type of relationships, type of interaction and communicative situation. Speech units reflect the situation. They include words of courtesy, greeting, farewell and terms of address. Being implemented in the act of communication, different address formulas reflect the components of the speech situation, which materialize in semantic and grammatical structures, as well as in the stylistic connotations of these terms of address. The priority for the study of the speech behaviour is a pragmatic analysis of the phenomenon of “address”, used in different communicative situations. Ethnocultural factors are taken into account. Aim and objectives. The aim of this article is to identify and describe Korean address formulas that function in informal communicative situations. Material and methods. The research material is informal address formulas in the Korean language. Forty language units are selected from texts of the following seven films produced in South Korea: “완벽한 타인” (2018), “연애소 설” (2002), “범죄도시” (2017), “리틀 포레스트” (2018), “행복” (2007), “기억의 밤” (2017), “지금 만나러 갑니 다” (2018). These sources belong to different genres (comedy, drama, melodrama, action, detective) and reproduce all kinds of extra-linguistic reality situations, in particular, relations between people in society, the actions of communicants, conflicts that arise between communicants, etc. When analyzing and translating formulas of address, the bilingual educational dictionary “Korean-Russian educational dictionary of the National Institute of the Korean language” was used. This dictionary was created on the basis of the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Korean Language” translated into Russian. To achieve the aim of the study, a corpus of general and private scientific methods was used. General scientific methods include: 1) logic methods – analysis (identifying address formulas that function in situations of informal communication), synthesis (combining address formulas into separate groups according to the pragmatic approach), generalization (establishing the features and functions of various address formulas in the system of the Korean language); 2) statistical methods – a quantitative method (using numerical data and standardized methods for processing the empirical corpus of the research), a grouping method (structural and typological separation of empirical research material according to essential features). Particular scientific (linguistic) methods include a descriptive method (description of the features and basic characteristics of informal formulas of address), a pragmatic analysis (interpretation of the meaning of address formulas from the standpoint of their usage in a speech act). Results and discussion. Address formulas identified in informal Korean speech communication are represented by various communicative units. Affixes, that join Korean formulas of address, express a neutral polite attitude and are actively used in situations of informal communication. The Korean language has a wide range of kinship terms as formulas of address that apply to both relatives and close friends. The second person singular and plural rarely function in speech, because one of the main indicators of communication style is a verb ending. Expressive, stimulating, and perlocutionary functions are enhanced by means of interjections and possessive pronouns. Conclusion. 11 address formulas – proper name, last name + first name, kinship terms, noun (affectionate), metonymy, metaphor, noun (offensive), address to a group of people, address to an unfamiliar addressee, address without naming an interlocutor, the second person singular and plural – were identified in informal communicative situations in the Korean language. In speech, these formulas implement various functions that not only carry out the establishment of contact with the interlocutor, but also transfer the relationship of the addressor to the addressee. The choice of address formulas in various situations of informal communication is due to extralinguistic factors.
