| 5802 | Introduction. The results of the annual monitoring of the input and final diagnostics of the development of additional professional programs by students are presented. Aim and objectives. The goal is to determine the degree of formation of students’ professional competencies when mastering additional professional programs, as well as to determine the dynamics of changes in the subject position of students regarding their professional competence. Material and methods. The research material was the data obtained from the final diagnosis developed by the Institute of Continuing Professional Education. Identified difficulties in the training of students, as well as interesting dynamics in four sections of the questionnaire are presented: the position of students of the courses regarding their legal competence, psychological and pedagogical competence, professional skills, and the relevance of using the Institute’s information and methodological resources. Results and discussion. An analysis of the data of the conducted input and final diagnostics of the level of training of students in the development of additional professional programs for 2019 revealed the typical and remaining difficulties that students experience. Two categories took part in the survey: “Pedagogical workers” and “Leading workers”. Diagnostic data showed that most students feel the need to develop their professional competence. The need for the development of skills that allow you to build your own professional activities in accordance with the legislation in the field of education remains relevant in the work of both teachers and managers. An important issue is the use by students of psychological and pedagogical knowledge and skills in professional activities. Input diagnostic data show a fairly small percentage of students who use psychological and pedagogical knowledge and skills, as well as the use of a systematic and natural basis. Another problem remains the awareness of an insufficient level of knowledge of information and communication technologies. Despite the sufficient openness of the institute’s information resources and its presence on the official website, a fairly large percentage of students are not sufficiently familiar with project and information-methodological resources, including those presented on portals and sites located on the official website, since this is not in their circle duties, according to listeners. Conclusion. The remaining difficulties identified will allow us to adjust the work of carrying out operational adjustments to the content and forms of work of the teaching staff with students during the development of additional professional programs, as well as to determine approaches to making effective management decisions aimed at ensuring positive dynamics in the results of the development of additional professional programs by students. | 5803 | Introduction. This article examines cultural isolation as a form of poetic behavior by Georgy Shengeli, one of the representatives of “Moscow Acmeism” of the first half of the 20th century, consciously chosen by the poet as a reaction to the ideological pressure of the Soviet state in the field of literary policy. The purpose is to trace the formation of this author’s strategy, its causes and reflection in the poet’s lyrics. Material and methods. The methodology of research assumes a literary interpretation of lyrical texts based on the aesthetics and poetics of Acmeism, using the method of intertextual analysis and comparative method of analysis of the poetic text, involving historical commentary. Results and discussion. Georgy Shengeli’s lyrics have rarely attracted the attention of literary critics for the analysis of their poetics; our study is designed to consider the influence of Acmeism on the poetic fabric of texts from different periods of the author’s work, to discover the similarity of the aesthetic and outlook of the poet to the emigrant lyrics, the main theme of which was nostalgia, caused by the forced cultural isolation. Conclusion. Georgy Shengeli’s lyrics fully reflect the strategy of cultural isolation chosen by the poet as the only possible option for creative existence at a time of active promotion of official Soviet art. The poet regarded his “departure” into the world of Culture as a mission for its preservation, voluntarily undertaken as an heir to the Silver Age of Russian poetry. Shengeli, who knew the first generation of great names of the early 20th century, considered as his duty to continue his work as a younger and one of the last in the cohort of poets who did not leave their homeland in the throes of its tragic trials. His experience of forced “retreat into the literary underground” was akin to the emigrant experience of refugee poets resulting from the separation from their native cultural soil. The obvious affinity is largely explained by the commonality of the “cultural womb” of Acmeism, which nurtured Shengeli and his fellow emigrants. The idea of preserving the traditions of Russian literature in the Word unites the poets who live on different sides of the border, and once again proves the vagueness of these borders for a united great Russian culture. | 5828 | The problem of high-quality education for engineering and IT students should be regularly reviewed and kept up-to-date in conditions of the current political and socio-economic situation. To meet the demands of the labor market, engineering and IT students should possess not only subject-specific competencies but also universal (non-subject) competencies that make it easier to navigate different life situations, to communicate effectively, to work in a team, to think critically, etc. Therefore, it becomes important to introduce practice-focused learning technologies and methods into the educational process in order to develop universal competencies. The purpose of the article is to summarize the pedagogical experience in integrating the situational problem solving method (case method) into the educational process and to identify its advantages and limitations. The study is based on the empirical experience of application of the situational problem solving method (case method) in the educational process at the Faculty of Innovative Technologies of Tomsk State University within the subject “Professional Communication in English”. In the paper, the authors rely on the principles of system-activity and competency-based approaches. The experimental use of the situational problem solving method (case method) in the process of teaching English for professional purposes proved not only the great interest of students in this type of creative work, but also the importance of using this method in the educational process. This method contributes to the development of students’ critical thinking, their ability to apply knowledge in new situations, and the development of students’ creativity and intellectual abilities. Presenting the results of solving cases in a foreign language is an important tool for the formation of communicative competence necessary for students in their future professional activities. However, the situational problem solving method has a number of limitations related mainly to the procedural issues of its application in the educational process. The authors conclude that the integration of the situational problem solving method into the educational process contributes to the development of universal competencies of engineering and IT students and can be applied as a type of pedagogical practice within the subjects of the existing educational programs without introduction of extra special courses for the development of such competencies. | 5836 | The article explains the use of the net present value for the evaluation of the effectiveness of forest management strategies for specific sites. In Russian practice, this indicator is mainly used for the evaluation of investment projects, but in forestry developed countries such as Finland and Canada for several decades now this index is used to evaluate the effectiveness of management of forest areas and planning for logging and reforestation on them. This is due to the fact that in the forestry sector, as well as in investment projects a great role is played by the factor of time, i. e. flows of revenues and expenses can be considerably spaced apart in time. This means that the use of indicators such as net income, profit, profitability, etc. do not allow to obtain complete information and give distorted results, as the time factor is not taken into account. Using an integrated model of economic evaluation in the context of strategies may also lead to an increase in the volume of selective logging, because their benefits can be assessed more clearly. | 5840 | The paper deals with the issue of the professional communicative competence that is essential for the engineering specialists and academics to participate in the international scientific conferences. This is important, as the inadequate level of the English language, specifically, with regard to the academic writing and academic communication skills is considered one of the factors hindering the transition of Russian universities into the global research and education community. The focus of attention is the rapidly developing field of composite materials and technologies. The author proposes using a multi-level approach to forming the professional English communicative skills in the engineering university, which includes an ESP (English for Specific Purposes) course for academics. The specifics of the approach are illustrated by a case of Russia-UK conferences in the field of advanced materials. The paper presents the analysis of the international scientific collaboration and the excerpts from the survey of the prospective learners at the “Spacerocket composite structures” department at Bauman Moscow State Technological University. The data served as the basis for the needs assessment procedure, which, in turn, was used to formulate the goals and objectives and select the linguistic and functional content for the course. The ESP course had a positive impact on the international research activity of the department, in particular, the increase in the number of post-graduate students participating in the international conferences. | 5841 | A solid foundation for comprehensive personal development is specialized training learning, which contributes to the harmonious development of the learner, taking into account his potential, physical and mental health, through differentiation and individualization of education. The idea of specialized training learning is not new, but its relevance remains high in the current time interval. The principles underlying specialized training learning have been explored by both domestic and foreign researchers. The assessment of their relevance in a changing reality, considering the requirements of modern society and the professional environment, forms the basis of this article. In this regard, the interdependence of specialized training learning principles was established in the study, corresponding to the levels of research methodology. Two levels were identified: systemic and intrasystemic principles. A comparative analysis of the content of systemic principles made it possible to determine the list of postulates that continue to form the basis of specialized training learning, namely: the principle of democratization and humanization; the principle of adequacy and prospectiveness; the principle of integration and differentiation; the principle of variability and alternativeness. The study of intrasystemic principles enabled the formation of their structure, highlighting two components: the fundamental postulates on which teaching in heterogeneous classes is based, and the fundamental postulates on which the content of a particular academic discipline is based. The content of these principles is disclosed in the article. The principles underlying teaching in heterogeneous classes are: the principle of social interaction, the principle of acknowledging the diversity of all students. The principles underlying the content of a particular academic discipline are: the principle of aligning the educational content with the level and pace of social, economic, and societal development to achieve the set goals; the principle of accessibility of learning content for its qualitative assimilation, combined with scientific and practice-oriented components; the principle of continuity, which serves as a connecting principle, ensuring the structural integrity of education at all its stages.
