| 953 | The given article reviews the problem of training specialists for high-tech branches of industry including the branches of mining industry. One of the ways to make perfect preparing of specialists is to introduce the dual educa tional system. The authors present the specialists training technology in the environment of dual education, which involves equal participation of educational and industrial systems. The aim of the technology is to create the organizational pedagogical environments that provide the increase of effectiveness of training specialists for high-tech branches of industry. When describing the technology, the authors reveal the content of its stages (preparatory, organizational- executive, reflexive-generalizing). This technology combines pedagogical goals and integrated capabilities of the university and the industrial basic enterprise with the implementation of the targets at each stage of the specialists’ training. The presented technology has been introduced into the educational process of the branch of “Kuzbass State Technical University” in the city of Prokopyevsk (Kemerovo Region, Russia). Training of specialists in this university is carried out jointly with the mining enterprise “SUEK - Kuzbass” (Russia). | 954 | The aim of the article is to characterize the popular science legal Internet discourse from the viewpoint of the discourse study, the reveal of interstyle nature of popular science legal Internet discourse. The materials for the study are derived from the texts of author legal column ‘The right to know’ published at information portal Tomsk.ru for 2017–2018. The basis of methodology lies in the descriptive method and the rules of discourse and stylistic analysis. The introduction compares the notions of discourse, text, and functional style; a wide variety of researchers’ studies is reviewed. The popular science legal Internet discourse is analysed as the modern linguistic phenomena. Its characteristic from the viewpoint of discourse study is provided by means of the analysis of functional and effective aspects of institutional discourse. The structure of this discourse is revealed, the detailed description of each element supported by the examples is provided. The communication process between the addresser (the lawyer) and the addressee (entity unaware of law) – the major communicators – is described. The article studies the methods of how the analyzed texts influence the addressee by means of structural elements of the discourse, which, besides communicators, include the code nature, contact, context and topical interpretation. The interstyle nature of popular science legal Internet discourse is stated. For this purpose the interaction between the elements of scientific, official, journalistic and colloquial functional styles of the discourse are described by means of revealing the characteristic features of functional styles. The background of interaction between the functional styles are defined in popular science legal Internet discourse, their correlation and interaction explicated. The following conclusions are made: 1) popular science legal Internet discourse is the particular type of institutional discourse, its identity is conditioned by the particular structure, correlation and meaning of its discourse parameters; 2) the result of the revealed identity of popular science legal Internet discourse is its interstyle nature, since it comprises the features of scientific, official, journalistic and colloquial styles. The theoretical value of the article lies in revealing the structure and stylistic peculiarities of popular science legal Internet discourse. The practical value enables to utilize the article materials and conclusions for academic purposes. | 963 | The vocative is considered as a very important element of epistolary discourse. This article is devoted to description of the vocatives in structural and semantic aspect in epistolary heritage feature of A. P. Chekhov. Letters of famous writers – an important source, which plays a big role for the study of personality and creativity of their authors, historical events, the characteristics of the era, as well as people who are close to them and familiar, with which they communicate. In this respect, a great interest is the epistolary heritage of the great Russian playwright Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. As the material for the analysis serve the letters written by the writer to the large audience for the period of 1890. In this correspondence the vocatives were analyzed, as the most interesting and revealing element of the original style of the great writer, and in particular important element of national and cultural heritage in general. The purpose of work is to examine the structure and the functions of vocatives used in Chekhov’s letters, to reveal their specific character in his correspondence. In the analysis of vocatives’ structure there have been allocated a group of extended and non-extended vocatives. The goup of words, which distribute the vocative is the adjectives. In this paper it has also been highlighted in the form of references in official business and personal correspondence of Chekhov. In the Chekhov’ correspondence the leading place is occupied by the personal writer’s letters. Summarizing the analysis, we can conclude that the vocatives in Chekhov’s letters generally perform two functions: the nominative and the characterization function, which shows the relationship between the author and the addressee. | 964 | The article studies the methods and techniques to translate gerund and gerundial complexes in prose taking into consideration the specificity of this literary genre. The purpose of this article is to reveal the typical translation techniques and grammatical transformations that are most often used in the translation of a literary text. This theme is relevant because the methods of gerund reproducing in the literary text have not been studied in detail. A comparative analysis of the original text and the corresponding Russian text was carried out. Semantic, lexical, grammatical and syntactical peculiarities of translation are investigated. The question of the influence of the contextual environment, mini-context and macro-context on the regularities of translation is considered. As a result, several translation techniques typical for this Russian version of the novel were revealed. The author comes to the conclusion that when translating a literary text it is important to take into account the whole set of factors. The practical significance of the article lies in the fact that it can be used as a teaching material in the classroom of translation studies in pedagogical higher education institutions. | 968 | Introduction. The concept of a toponym as a marker of the geographical space and the role of toponymy in the scientific system are revealed. The role of the toponym included as a component of the phraseological unit and the cultural value of these idioms are determined. The relevance of the research, its purpose and novelty are substantiated. Material and methods. The research material is the phraseological units of the modern English language with a toponym as a component (213 units). The methods of the study are the statistical method and the method of the linguacultural analysis. Results and discussion. Toponymic phraseological units reflect and verbalize the various segments of the objective reality including the material and spiritual world of a personality. Toponymic phraseological units reveal a person’s attitude to the reality surrounding him/her, a person’s attitude to the people near him/her and the attitude to self. They also analyze the external and internal aspects of the personality, focusing the view on the appearance of a man or woman, on his/her voice, on gait, on mental state of mind, on the moral qualities and the character of a personality. The image of a personality creating by phraseological units can be positive or negative one. Conclusion. Any toponym (especially if it belongs to the “native” culture) has a national identity. It reflects (except the historical, territorial and geographical peculiarities of the nation), the national mentality, character, and specific features of the people’s life. The English phraseological units with a toponym as a component reflect the national identity as well. These idioms are divided into two large groups: 1) those which show the material comforts of the everyday life and 2) those which tell us about the inward habits of the people. Toponymic phraseological units of the second group include six subgroups. Subgroups including the idioms reflecting the people’s attitude to the social reality and to the other people prevail. | 969 | The paper outlines the relativization strategies employed by Eastern Khanty, an endangered underdescribed Finno-Ugric language spoken in Western Siberia. The notion of subordination employed here is confined mainly to morphosyntactic criteria such as clausal embedding and the use of non-finite verb-forms. The approach involves a synchronic analysis of structural patterns and functional-semantic features of relative clauses in the general functional theoretical framework. These syntactic constructions are also considered diachronically revealing the paratactic character of the Khanty complex sentences. | 981 | Introduction. The article aims at indicating and describing generic characteristics of the editorial. Aim. The aim of the article is to reveal specifics of the editorial as a separate genre. For this socio-cultural environment of the genre was described as well as the main function and generic characteristic. Material and methods. The materials of the study are 50 editorial texts published in English broadsheets the Economist, the Independent, the Washington Post, the Guardian from 2016 to 2021. A complex of methods was used to analyze the material, namely tools of discursive, stylistic, lexical, grammatical and syntax analysis. Results and discussion. The editorial plays a significant role in socio-political sphere, as the positions stated in the text can affect public values and opinion; the editorial enables to preserve balance of opinion, essential for mass media. As a result of the analysis we concluded that the editorial can be characterized as a separate genre based on the unity of theme, style and composition. We indicated the following generic characteristics of the editorial: 1) unified structure, which consists of the introduction, the main body and the conclusion. The latter plays a significant role and includes recommendations (the most common one – 75% cases), forecast (23% cases), evaluation (the least common one – 4 % cases) or a combination of the abovementioned conclusions; 2) from the stylistic perspective informal speech, argumentation, authorial nominations and intertextuality are distinctive for the editorial; 3) characterized by a variety of topics, the editorial is aimed at analyzing a narrow specialized issue. It is shown that in the far field approximation only radial component of the Poynting vector exists, and it represents the intensity of radiation. The aim of the article is to determine the stages and directions of scientific and pedagogical activity of Professor V. Golovchiner. Material and methods. The research material (articles, reports, monographs) by V. E. Golovchiner and her students served as the material for the study. The systematization and description of the results of scientific activity was carried out in comparison with the leading concepts of Russian philology. Results and discussion. For the first time, her scientific heritage is examined as a whole; the principles are revealed by which the scientist was guided during the different periods of her scientific activity; the key ideas of her papers are selected: 1. the formation of an epic drama as a specific direction in Russian literary process of the 20th century caused by cultural-historical conditions and having two typological versions – metaphorical and metonymical – with characteristic features of poetics; 2. the specifics of an artwork is in many respects caused by ancestral features as each literary genre has its own expressive possibilities; 3. the natural change of a genre paradigm during the era of nonclassical poetics leads to that the initial genres give way to the author’s models of creativity which represent a new way to end of an artistic whole. The theoretical relevance of the research: V. Ye. Golovchiner’s scientific heritage is introduced into the historical scientific context; the directions of her scientific activity are studied; the heuristic potential of theoretical positions is analyzed and theses of the main papers are shortly characterized. The practical relevance of the research: the conclusions and results of the research can be used to develop work programs of subjects in different areas of philology, to develop the teaching materials, guide books on the history of Russian literary criticism. Conclusion. The author of the paper comes to conclusions that the scientific developments of the professor are not only conceptual in certain questions of the theory of literature, open interesting historical literary facts but also reflect general trends of a philology science, develop the achievements of Tomsk school of literary criticism studying Russian drama. | 996 | The article deals with the peculiarities of the representation of the concept “Family” in lexicographical sources and in linguistic consciousness of Russian and English-speaking respondents. The generality and specificity of family perception and its members in the section of ethno-cultural and gender aspects, based on the analysis of the free associative experiment are examined. It is revealed that the Russian “feminine” linguistic consciousness is different from the “male” one, and that in the Russian associative field adjectives are dominated, while men have reactions expressed generally by nouns. In the men’s associative field the gender stereotypes of social roles are analyzed and the opposite perception of family members in correlation with biological sex and age. | 997 | The article is dedicated to the relation of the two plot lines in Bulgakov's play “The Crimson Island”. The primary thread is focused on the themes of theatrical “production” and repertoire problems, the relationship between theater administration and the aspiring author, the state, impersonated by the all-powerful bureaucrat, and the rehearsal, which, given the extreme circumstances with the possibility of the theater closing, is already being run as the final, general rehearsal. The secondary thread, the history of a remote island, lies at the foundation of the aforementioned play. The researchers outline this as a self-contained text within a text. Analysis of the event poetics allows the authors to claim that the expressiveness of “The Crimson Island” as such a text is characterized by the constant breaking through borders of two interweaving plotlines. | 998 | Study of blended learning usage in modern research works wins increasing popularity and becomes highly topical in conditions of innovational trend of education system. Because of the innovative process taking place in the higher education one has to apply modern pedagogical ways and new technologies. The interconnection between students and teachers via information and communication technologies is the part of this process. But at the moment, some components which are actually forming blended learning of students are not always incorporated in integral system and are considered as a list of independent constituents. As a result electronic learning resources for many members of faculty and higher school administration are only auxiliary tools but not fully functional part of students’ learning process. Beyond the doubt influencing the structure of learning process the digital technologies are not able to change it. They only can significantly enhance and optimize conditions of higher education obtaining, and also promote effective students’ individual work, improve procedure of teacher-student interaction, provide positive trends for formation mutual competency capabilities of teachers and students. The goal of this paper is to define the place and role of electronic learning resources in students’ blended learning system, and also clarification of terminology issues and problem of traditional and electronic interaction methods of teacher and student in higher education. The paper considers distinguishing features of online electronic and blended education in the higher school. Analysis is carried out for numerous sociological studies held in Russia and abroad on issues of electronic technologies introduction in modern education.
