| 2017 | Yiddish, the language of Ashkenazic Jews, arose about ten centuries ago as a result of contact with various dialects of Medieval German. Of all the Germanic languages, Yiddish looks least Germanic: it uses a Hebrew alphabet and is read from right to left, and its grammar and lexicon have undergone considerable influence not only from Hebrew and Aramaic, but also from various Slavic languages. Between 1890 and 1920 millions of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe boarded ships for America. They were fleeing the tragic events that shook the Old World. So Yiddish language and culture began its journey on a new continent. Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia were among the cities where Yiddish theaters, newspapers, and book publishers thrived. A Yiddish vaudeville sprang up, featuring performers who could switch in the blink of an eye from dances and funny jokes to sentimental songs. The heart of the culture lay in New York, where Second Avenue acquired the nickname “the Yiddish Broadway.” Yiddish words were quick to enrich American English - words like bagel, bupkes, chutzpah, klutz, schlemiel, schlep, schmuck, tchotchke, etc. Many words and phrases from Yiddish you can encounter today in American books, magazines, newspapers; or hear on television or radio, in movies or nightclubs; or may overhear on the street in many cities in the United States. The borrowings from Yiddish include specific ethnic and religious terms, words of conversational speech, pejorative words and terms of Jewish cuisine. | 2018 | The issue of increasing the efficiency of conducting classes in computer classes is considered, thanks to the improvement of the student’s interaction with the teacher. One of the solutions to this problem is the active use of the program “Remmina Remote Desktop” of the Linux operating system. Especially actual application of Remmina program in the absence of a video projector in the class. Describes the features and step-by-step instructions for using the Remmina program in computer classes. Its use is recommended for training in computer classes of educational institutions of general, secondary or higher education. The main advantages of the program: the opportunity to observe the actions of the teacher on his desktop in the conference mode and return, if desired, to his own work. With the help of the Remmina program, the teacher has the opportunity to constantly or occasionally display the desktop of his monitor at workplaces of students. The function of the teacher is reduced to the voice explanations of the material shown. The experience of using the Remote Desktop Remmina program allows you to recommend its application for training in computer classes of educational institutions of general, secondary or higher education for the following reasons: • Remmina program activates interaction between the teacher and students and can be considered as an alternative to using a media projector with a screen. • The reliability of training in the event of a technical failure of available facilities (interactive whiteboard, media projector and others) increases. • The Remmina program can also be considered as a supplement to existing tools. The teacher, at the same time, has the possibility of a wider choice of means when submitting material in order to increase the students’ motivation for learning. • The application of the program does not require adjustments in the curricula of classes. | 2022 | The article deals with problems of cognitive linguistics. The fundamental concepts comprising world language picture is the centre of attention. The article traces the verbalization of the concept of “bread” in the Russian language, using materials from the academic dictionary that contain some phraseological units with component “bread”, each of which implements one of the main cognitive features of this concept. On the basis of the examples given, it is shown that the degree of phraseologization of these units is different, but nevertheless all of them retain a connection with the original denotate. This circumstance contributes to the preservation of positive connotations in this phraseological paradigm. The analysis of cognitive signs to identify the scope of the concept of “bread” in the language picture of the world of the Russian people is carried out. The question of the original meaning, which forms the main nominative meaning of the word “bread” in Russian, which is present in the semantic structure of all derivatives, regardless of the degree of their distance from the creation of a semantic base, is considered. For the bulk identification of the concepts of “bread” in the linguistic picture of the world of Russian people, an analysis was conducted on the basis of cognitive signs. The fundamental nature of the concept “bread” in a language picture of the world of the Russian people with all evidence is shown at all levels. A complete idea of the scope of this concept can be created only with regard to folklore material. However, the system of the most important cognitive signs is successfully traced on the material of lexical, phraseological and paremiological units. We have been collecting the corresponding materials from dictionaries of V. I. Dal, V. M. Ogoltsev, D. N. Ushakov, M. Fasmer, and the four-volume academic dictionary of Russian (the Small Academic dictionary). The task of cognitive or linguistic-cognitive analysis is to analyze language units, focused on identifying cognitive signs that represent this concept in the structure of a particular character. | 2023 | The article is devoted to the role of pronunciation in teaching French. Attention is focused on prosodic factors that play an important role in the process of understanding a statement. Decoding of verbal communication takes place at the intellectual, linguistic, emotional and relational levels. The interlocutors perceive not only individual words, but also the tone of the utterance. Intonationally transmitted information allows you to understand the deep meaning of the utterance and its components. The purpose of the study is to determine the place of the phonetic component in the methodology of teaching a foreign language. The following research methods are used in the work: analysis of pedagogical, methodological, linguistic literature and the work experience of Russian and foreign phonetists; the method of scientific description; synthesis and generalization of their own practice of teaching French at the university. Many modern researchers in the field of foreign language teaching methods are supporters of communicative learning, leading to a new perception of the role of pronunciation, and awareness of the importance of intonation parameters of speech. The effectiveness of teaching the French language is increased with the use of special exercises for practicing prosodic phenomena, in which the phonosemantic approach appeals to sound matter and contributes to the formation of foreign language pronunciation skills. The result is the development of exercises based on the analysis of traditional and modern didactic principles. It is proposed to practice pronunciation skills in order to correct oral speech according to the following parameters: intonation and rhythm, intensity of articulation, phonetic environment. The effectiveness of training at the segment level increases with the use of exercises based on the principle of “from simple to complex”. The suprasegmental level, which implies normative stress, correct melody, rhythm, and pauses, also plays a significant role in mastering the articulation base of the language being studied. Only the complex perception of the above phonetic phenomena leads to the assimilation of the articulatory base of a foreign language. Thus, students need to master phonetic and phonological skills, since their insufficient formation will have negative consequences for the entire language learning process. Therefore, potential employers highly value not only the professional qualities of their employees, but also social and psychological qualities (Softskills): communication, leadership, team, entrepreneurial skills. Employers note the lack of Softskills competencies among graduates of educational institutions: weak motivation and inconsistency of personal qualities (self-organization, motivation, initiative, responsibility, desire to learn) Among the most significant characteristics, graduates of the secondary vocational education system named: motivation; experience; general impression; professional competencies; ability to learn; IT-competence. And they expressed an opinion about the need to pay more attention to the development of personal competencies in the learning process; skills that will allow them to be competitive in the labor market, such as communication skills, personality marketing, time management, etc. In order to solve the basic problem of secondary vocational education: the intellectual, cultural and professional development of a person and the training of qualified workers or employees and mid-level specialists in all main areas of socially useful activity in accordance with the needs of society and the state, as well as meeting the needs of the individual in deepening and expanding education. On the basis of individual educational routes, the tutor achieves the formation of a harmonious, socially responsible personality of the student, focused on self-development and self-realization. In the model of tutor support, training is built taking into account the individual characteristics of each student, which allows him to maximize his potential. Conclusion. The model of tutor support should be considered one of the most promising. First, a tutor is a psychologist who helps a student to understand his inner problems, motives, desires, abilities; understand resources and limitations. Achieve a balance of desires and possibilities. Secondly, a tutor as a teacher teaches (forms the ability) independence: to set goals and objectives; identify opportunities and resources; develops the ability to act and the willingness to take responsibility for the decisions made. The third most important component: a tutor is an educator who builds the correct attitude to the world around him and himself; preservation of national identity, respect for the native language, culture and patriotism. The fourth vector of a tutor’s work is career guidance work. The development and movement along an individual learning path requires the tutor to be competent in the field of professional training of his ward.
