Imagination as a mental activity is the ability to form and shape an image. Analysis of the language conceptualization of imagination is based on the method of a cognitive modeling of a situation, with the help of which it is possible to access the knowledge of the mental process studied. A large number of verb nominations verbalizing the process of imagination attests to the importance of this phenomenon for the English language picture of the world. According to the empirical material the situation of imagination can be categorized by verbs that differently characterize it. The generalization of the components of the semantic structure of linguistic expressions and the contexts of their representation have made it possible to construct a cognitive model of the situation of imagination with the following participants: the subject of imagination, the process of imagination (as the formation of mental images in a certain space-time environment) and the object of imagination (imaginary). The volume of the empirical material allowed us to identify and analyze the signs of the participants of the situation of imagination. | 3521 | The article presents a short review of underexplored part of Ehrenburg’s artistic heritage – literary cycle “Conventional Sufferings of Cafй’s Habitue” – in connection with the phenomenon of the convention stated in the title of the cycle. The place of the reviewed cycle is accounted in the works of Ilya Ehrenburg in 20s of the XX century. The paper analyses ideological and thematic content of the text, its aesthetic and genre nature. The article deduces relation between convention as a literary device in the cycle and other arts that was Ehrenburg’s subject of attention. Convention as a literary device is compared with a line of cinematographic acceptances, what gives a whole cycle combination of essay and novella types of writing. Chosen locuses allow the usage of a round-up technique, which gives a panoramic view of reality to the cycle. The article is a continuation of the long-term study of the problems of aggression in the teenage environment, the role of the family and family education in the formation of the personality, of the pedagogical and psychological support of the developing personality. The social and vital necessity of people to join and maintain a close relationship is discussed. Proceeding from the statement of J.D. Meyers that: «Social addiction in childhood contributes to the strengthening of our human connections», «linking with inseverable ties of children and their caregivers, social attachment acts as a powerful impetus to survival» discusses the attachment types: safe, avoiding, anxious-ambivalent. It is concluded that it is difficult to overestimate the importance of child-parent relations for the adaptation of the child in society and his ability to establish contacts with other people. At the same time, one should not draw conclusions about the formation of adaptive and communicative skills of the child, when assessing the type of attachment based only on the maternal style. However, avoiding attachment leads to the formation of aggressive, shy, and rejected children, which contributes to the development of various deviations. The authors disclose the potential of local history material for the comprehensive development of the child, the formation of patriotism and the basis of his active life position. The authors dwell in detail on the organization of interaction between preschool educational organizations and cultural and educational institutions, whose activities are aimed at translating local lore knowledge to preschool and primary school children. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the possibilities of cooperation with the museum of local lore through the organization of joint cognitive activities, excursions, museum lessons. The author presents the author’s development of conducting regional studies in kindergartens of the city of Tara, Omsk region. The proposed thematic plan is designed for two years of study, built from simple to complex, from the known to the unknown. Its content covers all milestones in the history of the city. The novelty of the research is seen in the fact that the author’s development was carried out taking into account the principle of systemic nature, which makes it possible to exclude fragmentation in the organization of local history activities and make this work comprehensive. The practical significance of the research is the possibility of applying its results in the pre-school educational organization of a particular subject of the Russian Federation, and also using it as a model for organizing local lore activities in other regions. The problem of modern teaching methods of creative activity is formulated as a contradiction between the need for a clear reproducible action and the need to work with hidden objectivity: motivation, as well as different types of thinking that are not available for teacher’s observation and are often not recognized by the student. For consideration is submitted a hypothesis about a new subject of the method of teaching creative writing - switching attention. Aim and objectives. The purpose of this article is to reveal the principles of creative writing teaching method based on the concept of flexible action. Material and research methods. The research materials presented are essays and mind maps produced by 5–7 grade students. Research methods are as follows: organization of learning (mind mapping and setting creative tasks), text analysis (compositional and semantic) and theoretical reasoning (mental modeling and extrapolation). Results and discussion. Implementation terms and conditions of new method have been revealed, the scope for understanding features of attention switching as a flexible action has been worked out. The difference between shifting and switching attention has been introduced and characterized. Stages of learning (activity) have been distinguished, as well as the core (know how), which is essential for the method strategic development in junior and secondary school and is seen as enhancement of mind map as intellectual tool. Basic starting points and mind map complexity levels have been defined in terms of usage in the 5th grade learning process. Students’ writings are provided to show the options of text analysis with the help of markers. Quality criterion (diversity) has been distinguished to reflect the flexible action efficiency. Principles and postulates of flexible and spontaneous action have been articulated. Conclusion. Finally, practical effects of the new method are defined, in particular, the possibility of flexible thinking purposeful development. On the basis of a linguo-stylistic analysis of articles from English-language military journals, the authors study the language means of expressiveness of military publications, a deep knowledge of which allows the reader to understand not only the informative, but also the emotional element of their content. The aim of the work is to describe the variety and features of the use of linguistic means of expressiveness in modern English-language military publications. Material and methods. The authors studied dissertations and scientific articles in periodicals on the philology of Germanic languages over the past 10 years, as well as publications in such English-language military journals as Air Force News, Australian Defense Force Journal, Canadian Military Journal, Defense Turkey, Raider, covering the activities and state of the armed forces of Great Britain, the United States, Australia, Turkey, Canada and other states. General scientific methods of theoretical analysis, observation, generalization, and concretization are used. Results and discussion. A review of publications on the philology of Germanic languages over the past decade confirms the insufficient knowledge of the problems of the use of language means of expressiveness in English-language military publications and the relevance of conducting more in-depth research in this field of linguistics. Analysis of the content of English-language military journals indicates that military-political and scientific-technical styles dominate in articles of military orientation, although they also combine elements of artistic, conversational and advertising text, and the combination of elements of various functional styles in journalistic texts gives them not only typical features, but also expressiveness. The language means of expressiveness used in military publications can be divided into three groups: phonographic (alliteration, rhythm, morphological and lexical repetitions), lexical (epithets, metaphor, playing phraseological units, jargon) and syntactic (one-part sentences, emphatic constructions, inversion, antithesis, direct speech, quotation), the main function of which is to inform, attract attention, influence the reader, introduce certain psychological attitudes into his subconscious. Conclusion. In this paper, for the first time, the features of the use of language means of expressiveness in modern English-language military publications were analyzed. The results of the conducted research can be practically applied both for further theoretical study of the problem under consideration, and practically for improving the quality of foreign language education of cadets and students of military educational institutions within the framework of both the main training program and during training at military translators ‘ courses under the program of additional professional education. | 3543 | The article examines teacher intellectuals of the Yenisei province in the XIX-XX centuries. The objective is to identify the population dynamics, social and right position, educational level, moral-ethical motivation of professional activities, cultural interests and political mood. The author states that the number of teachers in the province from 1897 to 1915 increased by 1.5 times, amounting in 1916 1148 man. The predominant age group was young people under 30, whose professional experience was less than 5 years. By 1915 74,6 % of teachers had primary and secondary special education. The vast majority of teachers came from the lower classes: petty bourgeois, peasants, Cossacks, village priests. The salary of rural teachers was slightly above the earnings of the wage worker in industry and ranged from 50 to 620 roubles a year. Higher social status had the teachers of the middle schools. Their salary 2-3,5 times was higher than that of the primary school teachers. In their cultural and educational practices teachers tried to adhere to the traditions of folk culture, which retained a strong religious colouring. The author claims that the the teachers, being the most massive professional group of provincial intellectuals, played a leading role in translating the achievements of cultural modernity into the mass consciousness of the Siberian society. | 3549 | The article describes the conditions, which effectively stimulate the system of cognitive relations in the universities of art and culture being developed on the basis of the unity and interrelationship of teaching and learning activity. From the point of the humanistic pedagogy a specific field, connected with the improvement of pedagogue professional qualifications (long-term application of knowledge, energetic activity position, inborn choreographic abilities, the scene fear, the volition freedom, the awareness of the choice of profession, the pedagogical authority etc.) is revealed.
