| 3556 | Discusses the ways of term formation in Old English and Old Russian based on the data of Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters which deal with legal transactions of landed property. As follows from the analysis the most productive way of term formation in Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters was semantic derivation, the change of the meaning of words already existing in the language. Consequently common lexis constituted the basis of emerging terminology in Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters. The term formation took place by means of terminologisation of common lexis. The transfer of common lexis into the sphere of terminology was accompanied by semantic narrowing, metonymic and metaphoric transfer of the meaning. | 3557 | The article discusses the main tasks of the teacher of a foreign language in the system of higher education. It assumes the need to overcome the traditional process in the organization of foreign language teaching in non-linguistic universities that train specialists in different spheres of production. The focus is on teacher training that concentrates on the ability of students of non-linguistic educational institutions, their way of thinking. The possibility of using the system of knowledge of neuropsychology for the organization of a foreign language learning process for students of technical specialties is justified. It is noted that the transition from a traditional to a competence-based approach requires a complex change of their own personal position and the role of the teacher in the systematic management of linguo-educational process. The process requires the willingness and ability of the teacher to model linguo-educational process in a technical university with reference to the technological stages of training future specialists. | 3559 | An issue of activity of Krasnoyarsk school of law during the Great Patriotic War is considered on the basis mainly of archive materials. The theme of legal education during the war period did not receive adequate coverage in the scientific literature. The works are basically of review nature and many aspects of the problem remain unexplored. It is shown that the war directly affected the school’s life. The school building was transferred to the military department for flats of military men and classes had to be given in the premises of the hostel. Military and military medical business played a large role in the learning process. As a result the majority of alumni after graduation from the school became prepared military specialists. At the beginning of the war the people’s commissariat of justice of the RSFSR assigned the task for the school to prepare as many graduated lawyers as possible. As a result if in 1942 19 people graduated from the school, then in 1943 – 54 people. Mass enrolment of cadets caused discipline problems. In 1942-43 academic year students missed 4339 hours, 2048 of them are for good reasons. There were 82 tardies for classes. 20 people were subjected to administrative penalties for absenteeism and tardiness. The fight against misconduct was conducted by party and Komsomol organizations of students. Graduates of the school worked both in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk region and beyond, for example in the Primorye Territory, Urals, Ukraine. In 1944 with the revival of legal education in liberated territories capital funds were transferred exactly there. As a result Krasnoyarsk school of law among others was closed. | 3560 | Introduction. On the basis of a linguo-stylistic analysis of articles from English-language military journals, the authors study the language means of expressiveness of military publications, a deep knowledge of which allows the reader to understand not only the informative, but also the emotional element of their content. The aim of the work is to describe the variety and features of the use of linguistic means of expressiveness in modern English-language military publications. Material and methods. The authors studied dissertations and scientific articles in periodicals on the philology of Germanic languages over the past 10 years, as well as publications in such English-language military journals as Air Force News, Australian Defense Force Journal, Canadian Military Journal, Defense Turkey, Raider, covering the activities and state of the armed forces of Great Britain, the United States, Australia, Turkey, Canada and other states. General scientific methods of theoretical analysis, observation, generalization, and concretization are used. Results and discussion. A review of publications on the philology of Germanic languages over the past decade confirms the insufficient knowledge of the problems of the use of language means of expressiveness in English-language military publications and the relevance of conducting more in-depth research in this field of linguistics. Analysis of the content of English-language military journals indicates that military-political and scientific-technical styles dominate in articles of military orientation, although they also combine elements of artistic, conversational and advertising text, and the combination of elements of various functional styles in journalistic texts gives them not only typical features, but also expressiveness. The language means of expressiveness used in military publications can be divided into three groups: phonographic (alliteration, rhythm, morphological and lexical repetitions), lexical (epithets, metaphor, playing phraseological units, jargon) and syntactic (one-part sentences, emphatic constructions, inversion, antithesis, direct speech, quotation), the main function of which is to inform, attract attention, influence the reader, introduce certain psychological attitudes into his subconscious. Conclusion. In this paper, for the first time, the features of the use of language means of expressiveness in modern English-language military publications were analyzed. The results of the conducted research can be practically applied both for further theoretical study of the problem under consideration, and practically for improving the quality of foreign language education of cadets and students of military educational institutions within the framework of both the main training program and during training at military translators ‘ courses under the program of additional professional education. | 3578 | Introduction. The problem of modern teaching methods of creative activity is formulated as a contradiction between the need for a clear reproducible action and the need to work with hidden objectivity: motivation, as well as different types of thinking that are not available for teacher’s observation and are often not recognized by the student. For consideration is submitted a hypothesis about a new subject of the method of teaching creative writing - switching attention. Aim and objectives. The purpose of this article is to reveal the principles of creative writing teaching method based on the concept of flexible action. Material and research methods. The research materials presented are essays and mind maps produced by 5–7 grade students. Research methods are as follows: organization of learning (mind mapping and setting creative tasks), text analysis (compositional and semantic) and theoretical reasoning (mental modeling and extrapolation). Results and discussion. Implementation terms and conditions of new method have been revealed, the scope for understanding features of attention switching as a flexible action has been worked out. The difference between shifting and switching attention has been introduced and characterized. Stages of learning (activity) have been distinguished, as well as the core (know how), which is essential for the method strategic development in junior and secondary school and is seen as enhancement of mind map as intellectual tool. Basic starting points and mind map complexity levels have been defined in terms of usage in the 5th grade learning process. Students’ writings are provided to show the options of text analysis with the help of markers. Quality criterion (diversity) has been distinguished to reflect the flexible action efficiency. Principles and postulates of flexible and spontaneous action have been articulated. Conclusion. Finally, practical effects of the new method are defined, in particular, the possibility of flexible thinking purposeful development. | 3579 | Introduction. The paper analyzes the characteristics of the compositional structure of the speech genre of cinema announcement functioning on the Internet. The structure of movie announcements of different types is compared; the specificity of the composition of movie announcements for Indian films is revealed based on the data obtained. Aim and objectives. Description of the composition of the speech genre of the cinema announcement, functioning on the Internet. Material and methods. The study is based on the linguistic-stylistic analysis method, which includes observation, comparison, interpretation, discursive analysis. The material taken for research is 250 cinema-announcements for Indian films written in Russian and posted on the website Indiankino.net. The volume of the studied texts is 6–8 sentences (from 60–100 words). These are movie announcements for films of different genres: melodramas, dramas, thrillers, comedies, action films, etc. Results and discussion. The studied texts have a similar theme, a relatively stable composition and a repeating set of means of linguistic embodiment, which allows us to consider the movie announcement as a separate speech genre. To describe it, a model has been developed that includes the following parameters: communicative goal, image of the author, image of the addressee, image of the past, image of the future, type of dictum content, features of the language embodiment, composition, verbal and non-verbal means. The composition of the movie announcement is one of the most important genre-forming features. It was determined that the composition of cinema announcements for Indian films operating in the Internet environment includes such elements as the title, image (mostly posters), additional information about the film (the name of the characters and directors of the film, year of release of the film, film genres, original name of the film, language in which the film is available), Internet tools (film rating, social media buttons for exchanging film information with other people), description of the film: exposition, main part, ending. Conclusion. The compositional structure and elements of different types of movie announcements (for example, printed movie announcements, movie announcements written in other languages, movie announcements of films from other countries) differ from each other, which depends on the time of their writing, the scope of functioning, and the author’s style. Each of the structural elements of the speech genre of cinema announcement has pragmatic potential and serves to fulfill the main functions of the studied speech genre – to provide information about the film and to influence the addressee and draw his attention to the film. | 3594 | The immense interest in metaphor has resulted in the emergence of a massive literature on the subject. From this academic interest in metaphor, a growing interest in metonymy has emerged over recent years, resulting in the formation of an impressive body of research, almost entirely from a cognitive linguistics perspective. The new works on metonymy show a consensus around a number of claims: that metonymy, like metaphor, is a conceptual phenomenon; that metonymy, like metaphor, plays a central role in conceptualization and communication; and that metonymy and metaphor can be identified as distinct, though related, phenomena. Metonymy is not just a type of language but reflects a significant form of human cognition. Metonymy differs from metaphor by the number of domains. In metaphor, there are two conceptual domains, and one thing is understood in terms of another. On the other hand, metonymy involves only one conceptual domain, in that the connection between two things is within the same domain, or within the same domain matrix. There are many types of metonymy and the least investigated of them is the relation between the metric system units and the means of inaccurate measures which can be used alternatively to indicate the space measurements within the same domain. | 3595 | The article considers the specificity of the organization of mentoring activities with students involved in quasiprofessional activities. The peculiarities of polysubjective interaction of a mentor with future teachers at the stage of their entry into professional activity are described. It is noted that polysubjectivity requires orientation toward cooperation, co-creation in joint pedagogical activity at a qualitatively high level of a mentor’s professionalism. Mentoring is understood as a permanent dialogue and interpersonal communication that is aimed at professional adaptation of a young specialist. This provision serves as the basis for detailing different types of relations between an experienced university teacher and young specialists. It is concluded that the given vector of relationships in the context of polysubject interaction in preschool education will help solve the problems of successful professionalization of future teachers already on the student bench. The author proves that the cooperation based on the polysubject approach is more effective in organizing the mentor’s activities. This approach provides the development of professional competencies for future teachers and educators and their motivation for communication with children, parents and colleagues. The author suggests that the organization of mentoring activities at pedagogical university is actual for all profiles of future teacher training and not only in preschool education. | 3596 | Introduction. The article indicates the relevance of the problem of changes in the process of teachers’ training for intercultural interaction in a region. The authors identified the key tasks, the solution of which will help in the further design of a predictive model for the development of the teacher training system. The aim of the research is to substantiate the stages of designing a predictive model for preparing teachers for intercultural interaction. Material and methods. The leading methods of the current research is the analysis of theoretical literature. The choice of such research approaches as structural and structural-functional make it possible to characterize the process of preparing teachers for intercultural interaction as multicomponent, multilevel and multistage in the context of interaction between the regional education system and the system of higher education in the Russian Federation. Results and discussion. The stages of designing a predictive model for preparing teachers for intercultural interaction are proposed, the essence of the concepts of “training teachers” and “changes in training” is substantiated, strategies for organizing the training of teachers for intercultural interaction are indicated (overcoming the existing linearity, practice orientation and continuity and strategies for advanced learning). Moreover, the authors of the current research analyze the role of the factors that affect the process of teachers’ training for intercultural interaction. Thus, socio-political factors determine a new understanding of the strategy for the development of higher pedagogical education in the context of strengthening ethno-cultural processes (legislation in the field of regional policy development, the position of the state in the field of regulating ethnic processes and the dissemination of ideas for the preservation of ethnic cultures; growth of ethnocultural processes).
