| 4751 | The issue of formation of the library’s own funds of the educational organization with the use of the method of selection of information resources is considered. The results of studying the training system on the basis of methods and technologies providing a high level of the educational process, research and development, which are one of the main tasks facing the new standards of GEF 3+ are presented. It is quite obvious that for successful management, in addition to traditional methodological approaches, it is advisable to develop solutions for knowledge management of students. A detailed description of the process of creating new knowledge as the main management of an intellectual resource that determines the competitive advantage of an individual is given. The structure of information resources providing scientific and cognitive activity is considered. To create new knowledge, a process is needed that makes hard-to-reach knowledge understandable and accessible to perception. To start such a process, convert explicit, hidden knowledge into explanatory information. Information resources are an important component of the development of information and knowledge capacity. Therefore, the methodology for selecting information data can be used as knowledge management tools. The ways of selection of information resources based on the complex approach on selection of the most important periodicals with the purpose of updating information and knowledge potential are described. The proposed methodology allows to solve an innovative task: from the acquisition of own funds and the formation of its list of priority publications to the accumulation of its own knowledge potential. | 4752 | The article examines the influence of the city newspaper’s discourse on the system of the evaluative means having the specificity determined by the memorial and local historical function of the regional edition. Semantic and stylistic analysis of the materials of the newspaper “Kuznetskiy rabochiy” (Novokuznetsk) linked to the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” shows that the meliorative contexts prevail. Due to the semantic and stylistic analysis of the evaluative contexts participating in the representation of the examined local historical dominant, it is possible to identify two connected components of the value content: the Kuznetsk events in the writer’s life as the cultural heritage of the city and F. M. Dostoevsky’s contribution to the culture. The first component is more concretized, while the second component, which is the base of the first one from the logical point of view, is presented by the repeated periphrases and appendices characterizing F. M. Dostoevsky as an artist in the general meliorative (normative) aspect. The materials not linked to the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” present the great writer’s contribution to the Russian and world culture in a more multidimensional way. The memorial and local historical function of the regional edition determines, primarily, the ethical evaluation actualization; however, it interacts with other types of the evaluation as well – teleological, normative, and aesthetic ones. During the realization of such topics as the importance of F. M. Dostoevsky’s stay for Kuznetsk, the preservation of the memory of this stay, the value of the contact with the spiritual space of the memory, the emotional and expressive means are constantly used in the evaluative contexts. The emotional and expressive intensity of the contexts increases together with the role of the ethical evaluation. In the examined newspaper materials, the topic of the preservation of cultural memory is the central one among the topics representing the hyper-topic of Dostoevsky’s stay in Kuznetsk as the cultural heritage of the city. Particularly, it is presented not only by the meliorative pole but also by the pejorative one actualizing the topic of cultural oblivion. Pejorative contexts are not isolated; they are used in correlation with the meliorative ones, which, due to such means as contrast, increases the pragmatic effect. Prevailing of the meliorative contexts in the representation of the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” confirms the sustainable ideals of the regional community and the stable range of the materially embodied values discussed in the city newspaper. | 4753 | Introduction. The study of discourse typology is one of the advanced research lines in communicative linguistics. Engineering communication is becoming a subject of increased focus for linguists due to its rapid development driven by dynamic changes in technology, society and industry, which is resulted in continuous exchange of information between the members of the engineering society. Despite the significant number of discourse studies in different social institutions, engineering discourse remains an understudied area as Russian researchers traditionally consider it as a part of the scientific or scientific and technical discourse. In view of the fact that discourse is translated into certain genres, and genres, in turn, are always included into a certain discourse field, authors propose the idea that the engineering discourse provides a series of particular core genres which reflect the values, strategy and information of engineering communication and make it distinct from the scientific discourse. The paper addresses the distinguishing characteristics in lexical organization of the technical standard to reveal the fact that the genre of standard meets the goals of engineering communication. Material and methods. As the empiric material of the research 184 pages of running Russian standards for the engineering technology and equipment were used. The texts of the standards were exploited as the subject matter for discourse analysis. Content analysis as a general research technique provided the identification of the quantitative aspect in the lexical structure of technical standards. The efficiency of this technique was proven by international schools of discourse analysis and by national researchers as well. Results and discussion. The analysis of the lexical structure of standards revealed the key discursive aspects of the studied genre, which identified the standard as a core genre of engineering discourse. Conclusion. As to performed analysis, the technical standard genre meets the primary goal of professional communication in the engineering field. The peculiar characteristics of the genre studied are determined by the demands of discourse and communicative situation as well. | 4770 | Introduction. The study of precedential phenomena is extremely important for modern linguistics. They can be explored in different spheres and aspects, which depends on the aims of research. This article deals with precedential phenomena in political discourse. Aim and objectives. The aim is a comparative research of national precedential phenomena which function in Russian political discourse and of their translation into the English language. The objectives of this paper are to define methodology of the research, to select the necessary language material and to find the ways of translation of precedential phenomena taken from Russian culture into English. Material and methods. The methodology of the research is based on the cognitive linguistics theory. The methods are cognitive modelling, discourse analysis, comparative analysis. The selection of the material was carried out with the solid sampling method. To analyze and systematize the material a method of description was used. The material for the study were sampled out from the official website of the Russian president Vladimir Putin. Results and discussion. The results of the research showed that political discourse is a very productive sphere for the creation of national precedential phenomena. As a rule, precedential phenomena in political discourse are very specific. Their source can be found either in the sphere of politics or historic events of the nation. Precedential phenomena in political discourse usually have a short life span. There types are precedential texts, names and expressions. While translating national precedential phenomena, interpreters prefer to use concrete definition, equivalents or analogues of phraseological units. Sometimes precedential phenomena are lost in translation. Conclusion. So national precedential phenomena represent an important characteristic of political discourse. They serve as a link between the author and the recipient, make the speech more vivid and emotional and influence the audience in a specific way. But their national peculiarities often impede the translation process. Anyway some knowledge of cultural sources is necessary for correct interpretation and understanding of precedential phenomena. | 4771 | Introduction. Enriching vocabulary is one of the cross-cutting tasks of teaching the Russian language and one of the key factors in mastering the native language. A rich vocabulary plays an important role in the ability to communicate freely and effectively, to accurately and adequately express thoughts, and achieve understanding as the goal of communication. The completeness of the vocabulary in one way or another is associated with the full refraction in the speech activity of the individual of all functions of the language (communicative, cognitive, thought-forming, emotionally expressive, self-expressing, aesthetic, etc.). Purpose of the study ‒ to investigate the problem of enriching the vocabulary of secondary school students within the framework of the linguo-methodological approach and to offer practical options for its solution based on the use of gaming technologies in teaching the Russian language. Material and methods. In this paper, the problem of enriching the vocabulary of students is considered on the example of teaching the Russian language in the middle grades of a comprehensive school. Taking into account the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of adolescents, game technologies are used as an illustrative material. The research methodological base includes scientific description, modeling, pedagogical observation, analytical commentary. Results and discussion. The importance of the task of enriching vocabulary in educational activities in secondary school is due to the role of the lexical level of the language in communication, the intellectual development of the child and knowledge of the world, as well as the need to form and improve the competence base of students (in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard). To solve the problem of expanding the vocabulary, it is important to take into account such specific features of the adolescent period as an increase in cognitive initiative, the transition to the cognitive nature of speech, activation and development of thinking, expanding the spectrum of interests and hobbies, strengthening communicative activity. In this regard, game technologies are named as key pedagogical technologies. In the game, memorizing words is supported by positive emotions, as the educational process becomes more exciting and interesting; there is an opportunity to work with vocabulary through images, emotions; you can successfully form the conditions for joint activities; a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere of the educational process is created. Conclusion. It is important to introduce the task of expanding the vocabulary in school education, because it is at this time that the replenishment of the thesaurus is effective both for the development of the level of language training and for the general development of students in secondary schools, the formation of a set of competencies, the ability to implement the universal educational actions prescribed by the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard. | 4794 | Introduction. Modern corpus-oriented linguistics allows us to study the phenomena of language, expanding the database on which research is based, attracting for analysis the wide possibilities of text and metatext markup of corpus. The aim of this work is to describe, based on the data of the Russian National Corpus, the functional peculiarity of Russian verb prefixes (based on the material of verbs with the prefix pred-), which are «responsible» for the use of the prefixal verb in texts of a certain sphere of functioning and subject matter. Material and methods. The object of this study is the prefix pred- with the prospective semantics «to do an action in advance» and verbs with it, formed according to the model introduced into the Russian language from the Old Slavic language. Based on the statement that the prefix, which has a relative independence in the structure of the verb in comparison with the suffix, is able not only to modify the meaning of the verb, but also to change the scope of its use, the article offers a comparative analysis of the functioning of the verb with the prefix pred- and the corresponding non-prepositional verb by analyzing the sphere of use and the subject of texts in which these units are realized. The article analyzes the occurrences of the verbs in the texts of 9 spheres of functioning (artistic, church-theological, educational-scientific, etc.) and 42 subjects (law, science and technology, politics and public life, etc.). Results and discussion. We suggest that verbs with the prefix pred-, due to its Old Slavic origin, are involved in the texts of the church-religious sphere in modern Russian, as well as in the texts of those spheres of use that correlate with the “predictive” function of prospective verbs. Based on this assumption, we consider pairs of units to predict/say, foresee/see, destine/assign, precede/march, prescribe/write; the percentage of their use in texts of a certain sphere of functioning and subject matter is calculated in relation to the number of texts in this sphere and subject matter; we identify the most significant areas of functioning (church-theological, educational-scientific, artistic, industrial-technical) and subjects of texts (philosophy, philology, astronomy, physics, etc.) in which the studied units are realized. Conclusion. The reference to the data of the Russian National Corpus revealed a change in the sphere of use of verbs with the prefix pred- (less often the subject of texts), which allows us to assert that the prefix is really able to influence the use of verbs with it.
