| 5471 | The article explains the use of the net present value for the evaluation of the effectiveness of forest management strategies for specific sites. In Russian practice, this indicator is mainly used for the evaluation of investment projects, but in forestry developed countries such as Finland and Canada for several decades now this index is used to evaluate the effectiveness of management of forest areas and planning for logging and reforestation on them. This is due to the fact that in the forestry sector, as well as in investment projects a great role is played by the factor of time, i. e. flows of revenues and expenses can be considerably spaced apart in time. This means that the use of indicators such as net income, profit, profitability, etc. do not allow to obtain complete information and give distorted results, as the time factor is not taken into account. Using an integrated model of economic evaluation in the context of strategies may also lead to an increase in the volume of selective logging, because their benefits can be assessed more clearly. | 5473 | The article attempts to address the problems associated with teaching Russian as a foreign language in higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China, as well as suggest solutions drawing on the experience of teachers of Mudanjiang Pedagogical University. Analises the state of methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language in China's higher education institutions, taking into account modern requirements to graduate qualifications. The author indicated the low level of students' vocabulary and poor oral expression as the main problems. Attention is also paid to the weak initial preparation of the students who enter the university, which is largely complicates the work of the teacher, who has to adjust the lack of knowledge, and begin the learning process from scratch. To solve these and other problems in methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the Chinese audience it is possible to use a comprehensive approach that focuses on a combination of traditional techniques and modern communication methods. Students participate in discussions on topics of concern, role-playing games, performances of plays. Thus the main objective of the educational process – training free speaking in Russian with the use of extensive vocabulary can be achieved. The development of this approach is illustrated by the example of the team of teachers of Mudanjiang Pedagogical University, with the description of the specific learning technologies. | 5474 | Formation of universal learning activities aimed at thoughtful reading and writing, critical comprehension of the available information and the creation of educational product among pupils in any subject area, including mathematics classes, is a major concern throughout modern general education. The article considers issues of perception, understanding, interpretation and generation of the learning text as a communicative sign system used in the training process. Authors have formulated theoretical foundations, based on which it is possible to analyze the cognitivesemantic content of educational texts, and the features of text designing in order to achieve understanding and improve the quality of education. Examples of mathematical educational texts are provided as an illustration of these foundations. The developed educational texts (research challenges, dialogues, methodical recommendations, applications, historical overviews, etc.) allow us to create context, suitable for each pupil. Also these texts help to individualize learning, to understand better varying levels of the reflection processes and the formation of personality during training, to carry out the educational process on designing new personal educational products and educational texts in the process of studying mathematics. Educational texts should prepare pupils for independent reading of educational, popular science-oriented and scientific literature; promote the creative acquisition of knowledge and gathering experience in critical, creative thinking and conducting design and research work. | 5475 | Introduction. The article provides a brief overview of the employment prospects of the technical universities graduates and describes one of the most urgent issues of modern Russian society which is the problem of successful employment of university graduates and optimal realization of their professional and personal potential. The realities of the modern Russian labor market are uncertain, so many university graduates do not have the opportunity to find a job in their specialty, to find a worthy application of the professional knowledge gained at the university. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to analyze the problems of motivation in foreign languages learning in the technical university and justify the need to develop certain measures to encourage motivation of students. Material and methods. In pedagogy and psychology, there are different approaches to understanding the essence, nature and structure of motivation. The methods of study and formulated interpretations of the concept “motivation” vary widely. In this article we analyzed pedagogical approaches, according to which motivation, actively involving students of technical higher education institution in the learning process, contributes to the formation of their foreign language competence. Results and discussion. As a result, the problem of creating certain conditions aimed at the increasing of the university graduates’ adaptability at the labor market is raised. This adaptability is based on the obtaining of additional knowledge and competencies. One of the ways to increase the competitiveness of the university graduates at the labor market is foreign language competence which is the complex of knowledge and skills that allows a university graduate to use a foreign language effectively both in professional activities and in social life. Moreover, foreign language competence is regarded today as an integral part of the general professional competence of a technical specialist. In order to obtain the optimal level of foreign language competence the authors recommend using the professional focused foreign language model which takes into account professional and language needs of technical specialists. The successful realization of professionally-focused foreign language education claims for a certain system of motivation, especially at technical universities, whose students have low motivation to study the foreign language due to the technical style of thinking and underestimation of the importance and value of foreign language knowledge in the future professional functioning. That is why the important pedagogical task is to motivate students to consciously perceive and learn a foreign language. Conclusion. Analyzing the general problems of motivation in the educational process, the authors generalize the pedagogical experience of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI). The article shows that professional development of future engineers, expansion of their socio-cultural, cognitive and informative horizons, are largely associated with the foreign language competence. The authors call for the technical universities teachers to expand the measures aimed at increasing the motivational level of students in the process of learning a foreign language. Keywords: improving of the adaptability of university graduates, foreign language competence, motivation to learn a foreign language, optimal organization of the educational process, the development of cognitive and professional motives, professional focused foreign language training, the educational potential of a foreign language | 1411 | |||||

| 5484 | Open ination is a cosmological scenario in which the universe is a vacuum bubble nucleated from false vacuum decay and a period of inationary expansion followed in the nucleated bubble. This scenario is currently receiving renewed interest in the context of the string theory landscape. Since there are a large number of metastable de Sitter vacua in the string landscape, tunneling from one vacuum to another occurs frequently through the bubble nucleation and open ination is naturally realized. We argue that though the universe appears to be very at, a small deviation of омега0 from unity can make the effect of tensor-type perturbations on the large angle CMB anisotropy signicant. Thus we are already testing the string landscape against observations. Keywords: string landscape, false vacuum decay, open ination | 1410 | |||||

| 5493 | The year of 2019 is the anniversary of two writers of different eras – A. S. Pushkin (1799–1837) and V. V. Nabokov (1899–1977). This study did not initially include the goal of identifying the “bringing together “of two writers, but an analysis of the wind motive led to results that broadened the ideas about the creative dialogue between Nabokov and Pushkin already established in literature. The aim of the work is to analyse the wind / storm motive in V. Nabokov’s novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair) in relation to cultural tradition. Material and methods. Motive and intertextual analysis based on the work of B. Gasparov, I. Silantyev. For understanding of the functionality and archetypical semantics of the wind / storm motive, the studies of K. Nagina and E. Nikanorova are significant; among the research work on Nabokov, the baseline for this study is, firstly, the article by A. Dolinina, who described the principles of using V. Nabokov to use Pushkin’s intertext in the novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair). Results and discussion. When analyzing “Otchayaniye” (Despair), it was considered that the narrative motive is often implemented in conjunction with an anonymous motive, therefore the focus of research attention was not only the wind motive / storm motive, but also windcalm. It was revealed that the wind motive in the novel is polysemantic and “works” to reveal the main themes and problems in the novel, “involved” in the design of the author’s concept of the work. It is associated primarily with moral and ethical issues: the definition of boundaries and the essence of free will, crime and punishment. It was found that the motive functionally considered in the novel correlates with the archetypal image of the storm, which traditionally embodies above the personal will and trial, the condition of passage of which is the strength of the moral basis of the individual. For the immoral character, who is the central hero of the novel, Herman (a murderer who is not experiencing remorse and torment of conscience), the wind turned into a storm, carries the semantics of punishment (“frightening” wind, “murderous drafts”). The study revealed the use of Nabokov’s method of increasing gradation in the design of the wind motive, which accompanies Hermann’s doubts and moral throwing, turning into a storm at the moment of final despair. Stillness arises at the climax points of the plot (the murder of an imaginary double and Herman reading his own, which must justify, but expose his mediocrity, “story”). If Herman interprets windcalm as the indifference of being to human life, as the absence of God, then at the author’s level “silence of being” emphasizes Nabokov’s idea of free will: nature does not give signs and does not interfere with a person’s moral choice. The analysis of the wind motive made it possible to reveal, the Pushkin’s fairy tale “Skazka o Rybake i Rybke” / About the Fisherman and the Fish as a significant intertext of the novel; the final “Otchayaniye” (Despair) correlates with the outcome of the tale: the character who wished to become a “despot” not only of his own being, but also of the lives of others (to take the place of God), remained “by the broken washtub”. Conclusion. This study made it possible to expand the understanding of the intertextual connections of the novel by V. Nabokov, to clarify the author’s concept of crime and punishment. | 5494 | Introduction. The article deals with semantic groups of polonisms in the Russian literary text of the XIX‒XXI centuries. Aim and objectives. The article aims to identify, describe and systematize representative semantic groups of polonisms in the literary text of the XIX–XXI centuries, as well as to analyze the extralinguistic and linguistic reasons for their actualization and the leading functions. Material and methods. The material selection for this study was carried out in stages. At the first stage about 30 literary works selected by thematic (about Polish events), biographical (the authors are of Polish origin) and linguistic (the texts should have been written in Russian, not translations) criteria were considered. At the second stage for a detailed study the works by V. V. Krestovskii „The Bloody Pouf“, Z. Shishova and S. Tsarevich „The Adventures of Casper Bernat in Poland and Other Countries“ and V. R. Medinskii „The Wall“ were taken as the most representative in terms of borrowing from the Polish language. Systematization of Polish origin words on the semantic principle, which provides a basis for studying their functioning in a dynamic aspect, was subordinated to the concept of a „Large explanatory dictionary of Russian nouns“ edited by L. G. Babenko (2005), in which the general typical situation is the basis for combining nouns in a semantic group of words. Results and discussion. The article describes in detail the following representative semantic groups of polonisms: „religion“, „nutrition“, „social relations“, „military service“. The analysis of semantic groups of Polish elements in the Russian language showed a steady tendency to their number reduction in the literary text of the time period under study, except for polonisms of military subjects. The authors identify both extralinguistic and linguistic reasons for this process: the interest decline in Poland in reading circles due to the deactualization of the „Polish issue“, the loss of religion significance, changes in the way of life, the social inequality neutralization, the phonetic and semantic proximity of polonisms and native Russian words. The study also showed that the leading functions of polonisms, namely characterological, identifying, evaluating and clarifying, are generally permanent in the literature of the last three centuries. These functions of words of Polish origin are not directly related to their semantics, the use of polonisms corresponds to the traditions and tasks of artistic storytelling. Conclusion. The analysis of semantic groups of Polish elements in Russian language showed a steady tendency to reduce their number in the literary text in the studied time period, except for polonisms of military thematic. The results of the work can be used in the study of language contacts, dynamic processes of Russian-language artistic discourse, in lexicographic practice.
