| 5457 | Introduction. The research is carried out within the framework of the theory of functional grammar and is aimed at studying semantic features of concessive relations and specialized means of their expression in Russian. The formal and substantial variability of concessionary constructions is noted, and an assumption of stylistic heterogeneity of language units expressing the semantics of concession is suggested. Material and methods. In spite of the research of concessionality, including its representation as a constituent part of the conditionality field, the semantics of concession and its expressive means have not been previously examined from the aspect of functional and stylistic usage. The formal, semantic and stylistic variation of concessionary units, conditioned by communicative settings and linguistic features of scientific style, are studied. The texts of the nuclear genre of scientific discourse – 3708 scientific articles of different thematic orientation, published in ranked Russian journals – were used as the material. Results and discussion. Scientific works devoted to the linguistic expression of concessive relations in Russian demonstrate the complexity and heterogeneity of this type of semantics and different ways of its expression. The analysis of concessive constructions in scientific articles on philology, history, biology, engineering and information science and economics shows that complex sentences with the conjunctions despite/disregarding that, but, however, although, as well as simple sentences with the prepositions despite/disregarding, despite, regardless of, etc., can be considered as special means of expressing these meanings in scientific language. On the basis of the quantitative data obtained, the article presents the percentage ratio of concessionary units in scientific articles on different topics and reveals the productive means of expressing the concession for each topic. From the point of view of the concession field, the most typical particular meanings of the concession (concessive-predicative, concessive-restrictive and real-concessive) and the absence of other meanings realized in other styles of the Russian language (concessive-predicative, concessive-retributive and reinforced-concessive meanings) were revealed. Conclusion. As a result of the study the average indicator of concessionary relations in the articles on different topics of scientific style was established, the substantive, formal and stylistic variation of concessionary units was noted, the correlation between the thematic focus of the articles under consideration and certain means of expressing concession was revealed, which requires further study. | 5476 | The topic of tourism development in Russian regions is very relevant today, since it is related to regional economy development. Hence, problems and prospects of the tourism industry development more and more attract researchers’ and public attention. The article revealed the problems of mass tourism formation in Western and Eastern Siberia regions through exposing forms and directions of tourism industry development in those regions in 1960s–1970s. The problem of tourism in certain Siberian regions is considered by the researches in their works, some aspects of tourism development in Siberian regions are touched on many conferences, devoted to the problems of tourism development in various Russian regions. This gives the right to claim that the aspect of reconstructing forms and directions of regional tourism development in Siberia is discovered insufficiently. Therefore, the author addresses primary sources, namely, archive documentation. The main base draws up previously unpublished archival sources. Materials of the State Archive Fund of Novosibirsk and Kemerovo oblasts contain information about the volume of transportation showing mass tourism development in the given period. Materials from the Russian Federation State Archive contain statistical data on travel volumes and the number of tourists in the analyzed period. Experience in the tourism industry development in Siberian region would help to reveal the preconditions and to present the trend of mass tourism development in the country during this period. The change to a five-day working week with 2 days off prompted the demand for recreation, which was increasing among the soviet population. Along with the expansion of organized tourist trips, the mass initiative tourist movement was getting the increasing popularity. The different forms of initiative tourism worked: trips “Auto stop”, alpinist tours, walking local and regional tours, week-end trips, etc. By the end of the 1960s, tourism was converted into a single-union system demanding comprehensive centralized management with material and technical base, established only on the basis of a unified system approach. Central Tourism Department put the plans that have been successfully carried out by regional councils on tourism, implementing the decisions of the Central Committee of the Party and the decisions of the Soviet Government. The effective management of administrative practices on the one hand stimulated the mass tourism and excursion industry development, but on the other hand hindered its effective control in the regions. | 5491 | We consider collision of a point particle with an infinitely thin planar domain wall within the linear and post-linear approximations of Einstein classical gravity in Minkowski space-time of arbitrary dimension. Both colliding objects are treated dynamically and the branon excitation of the domain wall is taken into account. The energy balance in this process is non-trivial since the interaction force does not fall with distance and the particle and the domain wall are never free. We show that contribution of the gravitational stresses effectively localizes on the particle and the wall world-volumes and gives rise to the relativistic potential energies of each object in the gravitational field of the partner. The contribution of the branons to the energy of the domain wall in the lowest order in gravitational constant is shown to be zero. | 5492 | Introduction. The revival of religious drama in the modern Russian children and youth literature, that began in the 2000–2010s, is being investigated. The specific genre features of the hagiological plays, which were peculiar to school drama in Russia of the17–18th centuries, are being examined. Material and methods. Hagiological plays for children and youth God is Wonderful in His Saints and White Angel of Moscow, written by R. V. Koshurnikova are used as material for the research. Comparative-historical and comparative-typological methods are used for the study of artwork. Results and discussion. In the 17th century, in the period of the emergence and functioning of such a variety of clerical genres as drama about the saints, the formation of its steady dramatic and epic structure took place. The specifics of hagiographic plots, their narrative, associated with historical and biographical content, including a wide range of chronologically developing events of the saint’s life from birth to death, which are often presented against the background of important historical events of the described epoch, led to the strong association of hagiographic plots with epic genres – hagiography. The hagiographic plot, taken from living narratives, retained its epic genre-forming potential and, when it was falling into a different genre system of drama it washed away the dramatic nature of the plays. In the modern dramas about the saints the genre memory of hagiographic drama formed in the 17th century is preserved. Conclusion. Hagiological plays of the modern children’s writer R. V. Koshurnikova reveal the same specific genre features as in the period of formation and functioning of religious drama in Russian literature of the 17th century. The increase in the volume and role of extra-textual elements (remarks), fragments of an extensive narrative text, designed as monologues of characters expands the epic layer in the dramatic text and leads to the diffusion of the genre nature in the plays of the Siberian writer. | 5493 | Introduction. The problems of awareness of life difficulties, psychological needs and anxieties of women of the Asian diaspora, as well as their survival strategies are studied. Material and methods. This paper takes a comparative literature approach and textual close reading methods to interpret two novels written by Chinese overseas female writers. Results and discussion. Both Nieh Hualing’s Mulberry and Peach (1981) and Jean Kwok’s Searching for Sylvie Lee (2019) depict the diasporic experiences of female fictional characters in war times and peaceful contemporary era respectively. Even if the dates of publication of the two novels are across nearly half a century, there are a number of identical elements between them. For instance, both female protagonists suffer from constant cross-border movements, estrangement, even schizophrenia. This paper endeavors to tackle the problems that firstly why female diasporas fall into the estrangement predicament through ceaseless transnational movements, then what are the dialectical relations of spatial mobility and estrangement, and lastly how and why they forge the alternating personality and fluid identity. Conclusion. Through analysis, it concludes that the ceaseless spatial mobility experiences prompt the diasporic protagonists to estrange from their family, culture and self. Furthermore, spatial mobility and estrangement interplay between each other, and finally leading to diasporic women’s dual personalities, which can be seen as both the predicament and the survival strategies of those diasporas. That is to say, the flexible and fluid personality or identity is a request for them to survive in foreign countries. It is hoped that the discussion on those protagonists’ survival tactics will shed light on the exploration of the possible strategies to better the diasporas’ living conditions. | 5500 | The purpose of the article is to describe the language education capabilities of social networks in teaching Russian as a foreign language. The key aspects of the critical analysis of the non-specialized social networks potential in teaching a foreign language were: 1) features of communication in social networks from the point of view of foreign language education; 2) the functionality of social networks available for teaching Russian as a foreign language; 3) positive effects associated with the use of a social network in teaching a foreign language; 4) comparison of the capabilities of different social networks, image-boards and instant messengers in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Methods and research material: content analysis of Russian-language research on the language education use of social networks in teaching RFL, phenomenological and comparative analysis of social networks VK (VKontakte), Facebook*, image board Instagram* and Telegram messenger. The material for the study was samples of experience in using social networks in teaching Russian as a foreign language, obtained based on the random sampling method in the social networks VKontakte and Telegram. Research results. The foreign language education potential of social networks in learning a foreign language is associated with different types of speech activity (reading, writing, listening and specific speech production) implemented through Internet communication. By representing reality through text, audio, video and visual materials, social networks provide the opportunity for targeted teaching of a foreign language: their functionality allows you to create thematic communities that can become a virtual space for the formation of an artificial language environment. There, foreign communicants studying Russian as a foreign language can 1) create, publish and perceive text in verbal, photo, video, audio format on a personal page or in a thematic community; 2) leave comments under the publication, add subtitles or script text to the video; 3) express your assessment through symbols under the publication (use emoticons); 4) search for information; 5) send and receive voice or text messages, 6) use a chatbot or virtual assistant for communication, question and answer services; 7) conduct a survey/vote or participate in it; 8) use hashtags or keywords, monitor updated information on the hashtag; 9) fill out the calendar of events and important dates; 10) formulate “status” (from one word to a phrase about the current state of the author; 11) Create a conversation (polylogue) for specific participants and participate in it. The peculiarity of communication in social networks, therefore, lies in the variety of types of speech and cognitive activity of communicants. Learning in social networks follows the principles of micro-learning (short-learning). Using the discursive features of the platforms themselves, it mimics familiar content, the consumption of which takes modern users a significant amount of time every day and thus implements the foreign language education principles of entertainment and accessibility. It creates the horizontal connections in communication, combines synchronous and asynchronous nature and allows you to use linguistic and non-linguistic means to study Russian as a foreign language, thereby forming an artificial language environment necessary in conditions of lack of natural communication. * Social networks Facebook and Instagram are products of Meta Platforms Inc. – an organization whose activities are currently prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation. Research materials on these sites were collected until July 1, 2021.
