Shcherbatykh S.V., Podlipskiy O.K. Educational models of mathematical literacy development. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 5 (235). P. 147-156

Functional literacy is considered as a systemic educational result of basic general education, aimed at socializing the teacher through solving real problems using subject and meta-subject knowledge. The structure of functional literacy is represented by a set of components: reading, natural science, mathematics, financial, critical and creative thinking. The formation of a set of these components requires the design within an educational organization of an appropriate motivating environment, which includes social, cultural, as well as specially organized psychological and pedagogical conditions. Designing a motivating educational environment is the result of the activities of the school's teaching team, which accepts this as a strategic task and solves it through joint efforts. Mathematical literacy is defined as the ability to solve real-world problems through a set of activities: conducting mathematical reasoning, as well as formulating, applying and interpreting. The process of developing mathematical literacy can be carried out in various forms: lesson, workshop, extracurricular and project activities, etc. Each of them has its own specific features. Thus, the lessons provide mastery of specific mathematical content and demonstration of its use to solve life problems. The workshop, which serves as a complement to mathematics lessons, places emphasis on students mastering the method of mathematical modeling, for which various methods of presenting data are used: text, graphic, tabular, photo, drawing, etc. Also, when conducting a workshop, there are more opportunities to combine individual, group and collective form of work. Extracurricular activities, which are characterized by a wide range of different forms of learning, can also be productively used in the process of developing mathematical skills. Depending on age, this could be a club, an elective, etc. Another variant of the model for the formation of mathematical literacy is educational design, when students independently solve a certain problem using a set of subject knowledge under the guidance of a teacher. Project work can be carried out either individually or in a group, including students of the same age and of different ages. Project activities allow you to build productive communication between students and develop teamwork skills. Project activities allow you to organize various interdisciplinary projects where different types of functional literacy are combined.

Dyomina L.S. CONTINUOUS PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION SYSTEM MODELING ON THE BASIS OF PROFESSIONAL PROBATION TECHNOLOGY: PRE-UNIVERSITY LEVEL. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 110-114

The process of modeling the system of continuous pedagogical education, its description at the pre-university (propaedeutic) level is shown. The project of this model with an emphasis on the use of such modern pedagogical technology as a professional test is presented. The pedagogical, diagnostic, orientation and acmeological potential of this technology is revealed. On the basis of the analysis of the theory and practice of pre-professional training of high school students to teaching identified the possibility of its integration into the content of the pedagogical classes. The experience of implementation of the model and analysis of its effectiveness in the practice of pedagogical classes (on the example of a joint project of the Federal state educational institution of higher education “Tomsk State Pedagogical University and municipal autonomous educational institution «secondary school №30 of Tomsk» «Socio-pedagogical class»). According to the results of the initial testing of the proposed model, the author formulated a number of conclusions: the importance of compliance with the principle of free professional self-determination of high school students, and therefore, the system should be very flexible and allow to build an individual route of professional development for each student; the effectiveness of the model largely depends on the structure of mechanisms of interaction of organizations-stakeholders (teacher training colleges and universities, schools, institutions of additional education of children, etc.) and all stakeholders. Taking into account these conclusions, the author identifies the need to adjust and refine the model proposed by him, and also outlines the prospects for further research on this topic in the context of building a system at the levels of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies.

Pálušová M. NIKOLAI ERDMAN: CZECH TRANSLATIONS AND STAGE INTERPRETATIONS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 3 (215). P. 155-163

Introduction. This paper aims to present the perception of Nikolai Erdman and his plays in the former Czechoslovakia and the modern Czech Republic. The article primarily focuses on the interpretation of Erdman’s plays in Czech translations and on Czech stages. Materials and methods. The research was based on the study of archival sources, such as programs for theatre productions, recordings of performances, critical responses in periodicals, translators’ diaries and memoirs, as well as post-1989 publications on the small theatre movement, etc. Theatre productions and their reception by the public and professional critics were analysed. The materials were also subjected to translational analysis. Results and discussion. Erdman’s satirical comedy The Suicide has been translated into Czech twice by renowned Czech translators Jan Zábrana (1967) and Alena Morávková (1985). In 1971, The Mandate was staged at the satirical theatre Večerní Brno (Evening Brno), which was the first production of Erdman’s plays in the former Czechoslovakia. The Suicide was staged in 1987. The publication of the Czech translation of The Suicide created by Alena Morávková in 1985 was three years ahead of the Soviet publication of the original play. The paper also reflects significant productions of Erdman’s plays at the E. F. Burian Theatre or Studio Ypsilon. Modern Czech stage productions of The Mandate (last performed in 2009) and, first of all, The Suicide (last performed in 2019) are also reflected in the paper. Conclusion. An analysis of the plays’ translations and stage versions proves that even eighty years after their creation, the satirical works of Nikolai Erdman are still relevant thanks to their deep humanistic and philosophical content that resonates with the modern audience. Both before and after 1989, Erdman’s plays were staged in so-called small (studio) theatres. Even today, the interest to Erdman’s plays arises in small theatres, student companies and amateur theatres. However, the themes that Czech directors emphasize in their contemporary productions are fundamentally different from what was targeted before the Velvet revolution.

Voloshin’s poems is distinguished by a variety of colors that convey shades of one color or another, and the unusualness of the created color images, in which the features of the author’s perception of the world are revealed. The article presents data on the study of the semantics and symbolic meaning of frequency colors found in the lyrical texts of M. Voloshin, data on the analysis of individual poems containing color symbolism in order to determine the meaning of color painting for understanding the poet’s worldview and the features of his creative manner. In the course of the study, methods of semantic-stylistic, contextological, and motive analysis were used, which make it possible to reveal the features of the embodiment and the meaning of M. Voloshin’s color picture of the world. The variety of color embodiment of the lyrics of M. A. Voloshin is associated with the peculiarity of the worldview of Voloshin the artist, who gave himself the attitude “to absorb all forms, all colors into oneself with the eyes”. In addition, the poet’s passion for Symbolist and Impressionist teachings influenced the multicoloredness of his poetry. Color painting, being one of the main means of expressing the author’s intentions, helps to convey the subtlest color shades and the symbolism of the feelings of the lyrical hero. The most frequent colors used by M. Voloshin: red in its many variations, gold, gray, purple – often contain metaphysical symbolism. To convey color, M. Voloshin also uses lexemes denoting plants (flowers), as well as mineralogical designations. The study of M. Voloshin’s lyrical tests for the use of color in them led to the conclusion that the color picture of the poet’s world is rich and diverse incarnations: colorful epithets, unusual metaphors, comparisons, synesthetic images, mineralogical designations – an incomplete list of the means and techniques used by the author. The significance of the conducted research lies in the reflection of the author’s worldview through the comprehension of the symbolic meanings of the image embedded in the color names.

Shalnev A.S., Degtev V.V. NET PRESENT VALUE AS AN INDICATOR OF ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY IN FORESTRY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 5 (158). P. 48-51

The article explains the use of the net present value for the evaluation of the effectiveness of forest management strategies for specific sites. In Russian practice, this indicator is mainly used for the evaluation of investment projects, but in forestry developed countries such as Finland and Canada for several decades now this index is used to evaluate the effectiveness of management of forest areas and planning for logging and reforestation on them. This is due to the fact that in the forestry sector, as well as in investment projects a great role is played by the factor of time, i. e. flows of revenues and expenses can be considerably spaced apart in time. This means that the use of indicators such as net income, profit, profitability, etc. do not allow to obtain complete information and give distorted results, as the time factor is not taken into account. Using an integrated model of economic evaluation in the context of strategies may also lead to an increase in the volume of selective logging, because their benefits can be assessed more clearly.

Pushkareva Y.E. ITALIAN TEXT IN THE PROSE OF N.F. PAVLOV (ON THE MATERIAL OF THREE STORIES AND NEW STORIES). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 6 (203). P. 63-70

Introduction. The article examines images, motives, allusions tied to Italy in the prose of N. F. Pavlov. Pavlov’s Italian text corresponds to the one of the Lubomudry to whom he was close and to the Italian text of Russian romanticism as a whole. The issue of Pavlov’s Italian text is relevant: his creativity was not studied in this aspect, although his images and motives of Italy is a significant part of the cultural dialogue between Russia and Italy in Russian romanticism. The aim of the research is to reveal the imagological phenomenon of the Italian text in Pavlov’s stories and determine its specificity. Methods of research are comprehensive analysis and intertextual comparisons. Results and discussion. The research shows that Italian text plays an important role in Pavlov’s prose. As well as in the writings of Lubomudry, it is significant at the implicit level of motives and allusions. According to the tradition of German and Russian romanticism, Italy is tied to the art, beauty, and spiritual life. It is a part of the mythologeme of the beautiful South opposite to the North. The image of Ancient Rome as a symbol of strength and power is important. However, these connotations exist in the prosaic reality of high society; thus, Italy embodies lost values and ideals. Texts realize this viewpoint through Italian musical terms, proper names, allusions to Italian art combined satirically with the unspiritual reality. The use of “Italian” allusions through a foreign “author-mediator” is interesting. Some plot features point to a possible typological connection with the poetics of the Renaissance Italian novella. Thus, Pavlov’s Italian text is a particular semantic phenomenon close to the Italian text of the Lubomudry; it is tied to the philosophical issues, psychological collisions of characters, romantic myth of Italy and its art. However, it has some specific features. Pavlov’s Italian text is a significant part of the cultural dialogue between Russia and Italy. Practical significance. The research material may be used in such university philological courses as “History of the 19th century Russian Literature”, “Imagology”, “Comparative Studies”.

Rozhkova T.V. WORLDVIEW OF MEDICINE FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF SPECIAL VERBS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 6 (218). P. 60-70

Introduction. Terminology contributes to the representation of the world picture because each lexical unit fixes the experience of both a separate nation and the whole mankind. The result of their interaction can be found in the perceptual unity and uniform representation of the world. Verbs, designating special notions, are the verbal representation of pragmatically revised scholary insight, which reflect the pattern of thoughtway, bases of mental activity, professional background, cultural and linguistic competence of specialists. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to study verbs, which designate special medical notions, and to show that they are a universal means to represent the world picture of medicine, and as a means which help to reveal the tramline and functioning of scientific thought. Material and methods. The material of the investigation includes one- and multiword verbs and verb phrases which represent various medical processes. Etymological, word-building and definitional analyses are used. Results and discussion. Universality which is characteristic of the world picture of medicine is reflected in the use of Greek and Latin terminological elements in the structure of a verb. National characteristics appear in the use of morphological elements and lexical and semantic principles of word-building. The world pictures of sciences also reflect historical evolution of notions and terms which can be revealed in the processes of terminologization and determinologization of verbs which are used in the language of medicine. The history of the development of special medical verbs demonstrates the interaction of the everyday and scientific world pictures. It is proved by etymology of verbs and polysemy of verbs within the medical discourse and with the verbs functioning in other branches of science. Lexical units which represent various medical processes are a kind of propositional structures which show a definite area of the world picture in its entirety. Thus, they can demonstrate the process as a cognitive script, which demonstrates implicitly the array of actions. It is a kind of metonymical representation of the process which is put into verbs. Conclusion. A verb can be considered as a means to interpret the world picture of this or that field of science. In regards to language of medicine the verbs allow to reveal the pattern and volume of semantic development of a word, to trace the scientific history of medicine in synchrony and diachrony.

The content of the information cycle disciplines should correspond to the modern trends in the development of computer and information and communication technologies. Implementation of this requirement is possible with the use of cloud technologies that solve the problem associated with the installation, updating, support for the operation of software and hardware by providing remote access to various cloud services. When studying the disciplines of the information cycle, we focus on cloud services that support the SaaS model (the provision of various software) and STaaS (storage of information as a service). The analysis of the results of questioning of “Clinical Psychology” students showed that they are familiar only with the notion of cloud technologies and in practice they only use services for storing information, creating text documents, presentations and spreadsheets. Therefore, it is important in the process of studying the disciplines of the information cycle to introduce the students to a wide range of cloud technologies that will be in demand in future professional activities. At the training sessions, learners are introduced to the capabilities of the cloud tool o-cheloveke.ru, which allows you to diagnose characteristics of a person. Next, explore the features of the online Google calendar, in which they create events, translate the texts in Google Translate; create diagrams or charts in Google Drawings; work in a social network Google+, where they create circles, communities of interest; exchange messages, calls and video meetings on Google Hangouts. Kislyakova M.A. METHOD OF REFLEXIVE LEARNING TO SOLVE MATHEMATICAL PROBLEMS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 6 (212). P. 92-98

Introduction. The method of teaching mathematics has a long history, which reflects all the success of teachers in creating a system of mathematical education both in Russia and in the world. Despite the fact that this system has been functioning for a long time and has produced outstanding results, mathematical subjects are currently the most difficult subjects for students both at school and at University. This leads to the fact that there are extreme points of view calling for the exclusion of the subject «Mathematics» from school and University courses due to its difficulty and low student performance. The solution to this problem in the modern world can be the use of psychologically-oriented learning concepts, one of which is the theory of reflexive learning. This article presents one of the aspects of applying this theory to the practice of mathematical education, namely reflexive learning to solve mathematical problems. The purpose of the article is to develop a methodology for teaching a «generalized algorithm» for solving mathematical problems based on stimulating reflexive mechanisms of activity. Materials and methods. The research material is the work of domestic and foreign authors devoted to the problems of teaching methods for solving problems and the psychology of reflexive learning. Their ideas allowed us to apply the theory of reflexive learning to teaching students to consciously regulate their own mathematical activities. Reflexive skills are the basis of the ability to intellectual self-regulation, and, consequently, a condition for productive intellectual mathematical activity. Results and discussion. The authors see the possibility of stimulating students’ cognitive activity based on reflection of their thought processes as one of the ways to solve psychological and methodological difficulties in learning to solve mathematical problems. The method of teaching problem solving involves teaching students to consciously perform four main stages. Formation of skills to analyze the problem, the solution to this problem, proper design of the idea of solving the problem and verifying the implemented solution is based on the mental experience of the student with the use of reflective learning strategies. Conclusion. As a result of reflexive learning to solve mathematical problems, students will develop a «generalized ability» to solve mathematical problems.
