| 6156 | The article deals with the plant names motivated by their habitat. The study relies on regional and common names that belong to Russian and German traditional nomenclatures of plants and derive from animal names by a metonymic transfer. The author reveals common and particular bases of such transfer. First of all, the transfer may take place in both Russian and German if habitat of a plant concurs with habitat of an animal. Such correlation implies seven coincident habitats. Five of them are common in Russian and German. They are 1) woods, 2) fields and meadows, 3) waters, 4) marshes and 5) shadow places. The one habitat specific in Russian is steppe; the one specific in German is rocks and mountains. The other common bases of metonymic transfer are ‘habitat of a plant concurs with shelter of an animal, and concurs with a place animal usually prefers to stay or visit. To the specific German bases belong the following two: habitat of a plant concurs with pasture of an animal; and habitat of a plant concurs with a place for animal to breed. Another aim of the article is to show how important the ethnocultural background is for plants’ nomination. Common symbolism in Russian and German ethnocultures have such animals and birds like wolf, bear, deer, hare, snake, frog, toad, duck, swan and crane. That is the reason plants with similar habitat have similar names in both languages. Different ethnocultural meaning have elk, woodpecker, raven, crow and magpie (in Russian); as well as chamois, fox, cuckoo, stork, swine, cow, sheep and goat (in German). Keywords: nomination, habitat, metonymic transfer, plant name, animal name, ethnoculture, the traditional nomenclature of plants | 1723 | |||||

| 6186 | Introduction. This article considers the idea of developing a methodological system for teaching higher mathematics based on the Theory of Generations, taking into account the generational characteristics of each generation of students. The purpose of the research presented in the publication is to conceptualize the idea of building a methodological system of blended learning in higher mathematics for students of a technical university based on the Theory of Generations. Methods and material. The analysis of the philosophical and historical aspects of the development of the education system made it possible to single out the theoretical and methodological base of the study, based on the provisions of the Theory of Generations. Revealed topical problems and further proposed a technology for their solution. At the empirical stage of the study, diagnostic methods were used (questioning, conversation, interviewing, computer testing, monitoring), experimental and statistical methods. Results and discussion. The use of key provisions of the Theory of Generations to resolve contradictions and urgent problems of modern education and society as a whole has been substantiated. The main stages of the development of a methodological system of blended learning in higher mathematics are revealed, in which the generational values of students are the backbone factor. A model of a methodical system of blended learning in higher mathematics based on the Theory of Generations is proposed. Scientific novelty. For the first time in pedagogical research in the construction of a methodological training system, the principles of the Theory of Generations are proposed as a system-forming factor. Conclusion. | 6198 | Introduction. One of the goals of youth policy in the Russian Federation is the formation of a system of moral and semantic guidelines that can allow us to resist the ideology of extremism, nationalism, manifestations of xenophobia, discrimination and other negative social phenomena. Under the FSES university graduates are required to be able to navigate the socio-political environment, to have their own worldview, ideals and humanistic values, to have the ability to self-develop. Therefore, the active phase of youth education should be continued today beyond school education – in higher education. This requires the reanimation of the educational potential of universities. The main task of educating students at the university falls on the shoulders of curators of academic groups and tutors. The aim of the article is to compare the educational roles of curators and tutors in higher education. Material and methods. The material of the study was dissertations and articles in pedagogical periodicals devoted to the study of the activities of curators and tutors of universities, as well as the results of the practical organization of the work of a team of curators in a technical university. The study used the method of contextual analysis of publications and the setting of a pedagogical experiment to identify the effectiveness of the educational work of curators of student groups. Results and discussion. This article compares the educational roles of curators and tutors in higher education. | 6199 | In the 20th century, the phenomenon of stereotype started to attract wide scientific attention in the field of humanities, due to the occurred awareness of the influence of socio-cultural context on an individual. Nowadays we can see a growing interest in the research of stereotyping in pedagogical discourse, because while being seemingly unbiased, pedagogical discourse is subject to ideological influence and involves perception of information that inevitably transmits ethnic and cultural stereotypes and prejudices. That fact forms the necessity of detecting and researching the ideological content in written foreign language learning materials. The aim is to describe various ways in which heterostereotypes are verbalized in Japanese language textbooks for foreigners. The research is based on Japanese language textbooks for foreigners of elementary and intermediate level of proficiency. The major methods used are qualitative-quantitative, contextual and discourse analysis as well as some elements of linguocultural analysis. In the content of the analyzed textbooks we see the elements of stereotypical image of a foreigner represented by various linguistic means. On the vocabulary level, there are multiple positive characteristics of appearance, personality traits and Japanese language skills of the foreign characters residing in Japan. At the same time, grammatical structures, the existence of presupposition in some sentences, and the thematic selection of narratives often emphasize the insufficient level of integration of the foreign characters into Japanese society through the presumption of their temporary status in Japan. In addition, foreigners, especially Western culture bearers, are often shown making communicative mistakes, violating Japanese etiquette rules and causing trouble for Japanese characters. The analysis demonstrates main stereotypical features of the image of a foreigner in Japanese textbooks and the ways of their linguistic representation. Established patterns reveal the contradiction between the intentional transmission of the message of Japan’s openness towards foreigners and the perception of a foreigner as a member of the “out-group” that is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. | 6200 | The comparative study of closely related literatures seems to be a relevant direction in modern humanities. This perspective of the study allows us to identify the creative uniqueness of the work, the national basis and methods of literary reception through the disclosure of literary and sociocultural connections, and forms the openness of consciousness to the perception of foreign cultural codes and meanings. The creative individuality of Viktor Kozko was formed in the Belarusian literary process of the last third of the twentieth century, when there was an increase in the existential orientation of prose. Mythopoeticism is characterized by its rootedness in the universal humanistic constants of national specificity. The main stylistic changes occur at the junction of the artistic systems of realism – modernism, realism – postmodernism. The emergence of diffuse phenomena is due to both the individual author’s creative experiment and the general stylistic trends of the era. Modernist intentions in Belarusian literature have a pronounced folklore and mythological basis, which determined the predominance of authentic elements, helped to verbalize unconscious categories, making them the subject of author and reader reflection. Mariam Petrosyan worked on the novel “The Gray House” for almost two decades (1991–2009). The literary process at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries, on the one hand, demonstrates the completion of a certain sociocultural stage, on the other, it indicates the beginning of a new historical and cultural cycle. It is no coincidence that the allegorical nature of the novel satisfies the aesthetic and cognitive needs of the time – to create a metonymic image of modern society. Both prose writers actively use various types of secondary artistic conventions. Depending on the dominant type of convention and the dominant artistic technique, the following ways of enriching realistic aesthetics with means of non-classical artistry can be distinguished: actualization of surreal aesthetics; synthesis of realistic and fantastic; appeal to folklore and mythological motifs, mythological ways of understanding the world. The methods of mythological quotation used in the novels by Mariam Petrosyan “The Gray House” and Viktor Kozko’s “Chronicle of an orphanage garden” when embodying the images of teachers and students, topoi of the house and garden, neomythological methods of modeling reality allowed the writers to create a unique spatiotemporal organization of works, explicate national cultural codes.
