The study of different aspects of cognitive activity and its reflection in various types of texts is a topical problem of cognitive linguistics and communicative theory of the text including communicative stylistics. Therein a research of associative author’s activity and addressee of a text is of great interest, particularly an analysis of associative field of poetic text in cognitive aspect in the network of regulative theory and theory of textual associations, which are elaborated in communicative stylistics of text. The aim of the article is the detection of important for the text interpretation regularities of cognitive activity of collective addressee (reader) on the basis of reactions to poetic text-stimulus and modelling of its associative field. Material and Methods of research. In concordance with the methodological base of communicative stylistics of the text for researching of textual associations, we used data of associative lexicography, results of the free associative experiment for the text perception, modelling of the text associative field on the basis of the collected data, the subsequent comparative analysis, examination of the lexical text structure and key words in image prospective of a whole verse as well as introspection method. Results. The research was done on the data of the associative experiment according to readers’ perception of a verse by M. Tsvetaeva “Сountry”. The connection of text-induced associations with its lexical structure and keywords updated by the author is substantiated in the article. The dependence of associative development of poetic text on its regulative potential and inductive lexical structure of contrast type were determined. Typical and individual readers’ associations with the text were revealed, invariant character of association ways, its conditionality by structure, semantics and pragmatics were determined. The typical ways of associations are the following: reactions that reflect emotional tone of the text, its idea and thematic originality, key words, which became actual in the text by the author, author’s elements of text lexical structure, that are commented by precise definitions, additions and abstracts. We found out reactions, which reflect visual and sound world picture as well as stimulated by emotional tone of textstimulus; reactions, which were conditioned by text theme and author’s elements of textual lexical paradigms in the text structure; reactions of cultural character, that reflect individual thesaurus of readers. All these reactions were identified among not common associations along with single not interpreted linguistically. Generality and differences of certain reactions and ways of associating in textual associative field of the verse “Сountry” by M. Tsvetaeva with main ways of associating with key word country in “The Russian Associative Dictionary” were defined. Conclusion. The proposed approach to the research of cognitive (interpretative) reader’s activity of poetic text showed that collective associative field of the text, which reflects its regulative potential and formal and semantic structure, revealed in independent associative experiment, allowed making a conclusion about some cognitive activity peculiarities of informants – subjects of text-stimulus perception. At the present stage of the development of linguistics as a science, no common criteria have been developed that would be applicable to all the languages in order to distinguish the periods of their historical development. This is due to the significant differences between literary languages at all, as well as the lack of a common opinion of researchers on this issue. The development of a certain periodization is intended to regulate the accumulated theoretical knowledge of the changes that occurred at different stages of the formation of a literary language. English literary language has the status of a language of international communication and is heterogeneous in its nature. In its vocabulary there are layers of borrowings from many other languages. The borrowing process, in turn, is ambiguous, and also needs a detailed description. Speaking about the layer of Chinese borrowings in the system of the English language, it should be noted that this structural part of the language system has its peculiar features determined by fundamental sociocultural differences between the European countries as a whole and the countries of Asia. The peculiarities of Chinese borrowings are closely connected with the evolution of the recipient language, therefore it is important to consider the periodization of the borrowing process in the context of the two cultures’ interaction. The aim of the paper is to suggest a certain periodization of the borrowing process of lexical units of Chinese origin in the system of the English literary language, taking into account the system and historical parameters of this borrowing layer. Material and methods. The borrowing process is the result of the interaction of languages over a definite period of time. Today, the number of languages that are not affected by foreign influence is minimal. On this basis, borrowing process seems to be one of the inherent phenomena peculiar to the language system at various points of its historical development. The evolution of the language, in turn, is determined by both linguistic and extralinguistic factors. The latter are the socio-cultural basis, which, in many respects, determines the linguistic side of the changes occurring in the language in different time intervals. By its nature, language is a social phenomenon; therefore, the description of its system requires an approach that is able to fully reflect the characteristic features of the various stages, which also includes an understanding of the cultural and historical environment of language functioning. Results and discussion. The existing periodization of the English literary language is considered. The correlation between the temporal division of the language history into stages and the language situation typical for each of them is revealed. The criteria for distinguishing periods in the process of borrowing lexical units of Chinese origin in the system of the English literary language have been developed: 1. language situation, 2. type of borrowing, 3. diversity of intermediate languages, 4. equivalence. Based on these criteria, the periodization of the borrowing process of lexical units from Chinese is proposed: Chinese borrowings of the Early period (XVII-XVIII centuries), Chinese borrowings of the Middle period (XIX century up to 1978) and Chinese borrowings of the Modern period (1978 – present time). Within the three periods listed above, the scientific novelty is represented by the development of a new set of criteria determining the periodization of the borrowing process for lexical units of Chinese origin. The description of borrowings in the system of the English literary language in the role of a recipient language is given considering the language situation as a significant factor for the development along with the traditionally accepted temporal criterion. Conclusion. The developed periodization allows structuring the layer of borrowed lexical units of Chinese origin in accordance with the peculiarities of the English literary language (recipient language) at different stages of its historical development. Taking the sociocultural factor into account contributes to creating a more complete picture of the language system evolution. The materials of the current research have both theoretical and practical value and can be applied to developing university courses and teaching such disciplines as English grammar, phonetics, stylistics, lexicology, sociolinguistics, history of English, intercultural communication, also in teaching theory and practice of translation. The performed analysis allowed to outline the main benefits and drawbacks of introduced methods and determine the most attractive way of utilization depending on various characteristics and certain conditions of oil fields (the size, the remoteness of the field, the depth of bedding, the level of infrustructure etc.). The usage of new methods of oil-associated gas utilization analysed in this article allows to increase oil production output much faster, solves the problem of effective CO2 usage at oil fields, which is highly important in modern conditions of oil and oil-associated gas production and usage. 3300 | The article examines the principles of construction of methodical system in geometry using problem solving approach, which acts simultaneously as a technology of solving geometric problems and as a way of design the system of challenging problems, focused on students mastering the mathematical activity. We consider and resolve two contradictions: between modern approaches to teaching mathematics as a process of learning mathematical activity and their lack of implementation of the methods of teaching geometry at profile level; between the objective necessity of designing educational process to teach geometry creatively and the lack of appropriate methodological training system. We discuss some features of problems, create in the student environment for positive motivation and ensure the formation of students’ independent thinking. We also consider the examples of challenging problems with solutions.
