The influence of mechanical grinding in abrading and cutting mills on the structure of peats, their physical, chemical and structurally-mechanical properties has been investigated. It was shown, that lowland peat has a big stock of elements of a mineral food, than high-moor peat. The grinding of high-moor peat increases its bulk density and leads to insignificant increase in a moisture capacity of both types of peat. Besides, the change of sizes of peat particles, group composition and rheological properties of peats has been investigated.

More specifically, we attempt to show how Lakoff’s theory of conceptual metaphor can help us refine an unclear deem nature of the concept of fact in Modern English, which can accrue from the frequent occurrence of conventionalized metaphorical expressions about fact in everyday language. Thus, metaphor is understood as a partial mapping between conceptual domains of experience, a source domain and a target domain. This is meant to be a continuation to a series of the author’s publications devoted to the problems of teaching English as a second foreign language in a linguistic university (after German). The basic message which comes across from them is that there is a high correlation between the two foreign languages, what makes third language acquisition different in all aspects of teaching and learning processes. Here, we also briefly summarize the findings of a few studies that we have carried out, and take them a step further. This time we look at a fundamental problem for language pedagogy – principles that are applied in teaching a second foreign language. Hence, we refer to other writing on this subject, i.e. the existing classifications of basic principles viewed though through the component structure of professional competence of the linguist-teacher. So in surveying the factors determining the process of teaching and learning English after German (the peculiarities of the linguistic and ethnographic material; the peculiarities of the target group; the conditions of teaching and learning a second foreign language) we have tried to work out some principles that are supposed to be specific for the analyzed conditions: the principle of foundation and complementary connection with the first foreign language; the principle of constructive cooperation of the teacher and students; the principle of the spiral progression that implements the idea of intensification and extensification of third language acquisition.

We regard the Wheeier-De Witt equation as a Sturm-Liouville problem with the cosmologicai constant considered as the associated eigenvalue. The used method to study such a problem is a variational approach with Gaussian trial wave functionate. We approximate the equation to one loop in a Schwarzschild background. A zeta function reguiarization is involved to handle with divergences. The reguiarization is closely related to the subtraction procedure appearing in the computation of Casimir energy in a curved background. A renormallzation procedure is introduced to remove the infinities together with a renormalization group equation.

The Siberian indigenous languages of the Ob-Yenissey basin (including Ket, Khanty, Selkup, and Chulym Turkic) are highly endangered. They have no written standard, and some have never been taught at school. The phonetic system, inflectional morphology (including verb forms), lexical structure, and methods of nominal word formation of these languages have been the target of some linguistic studies. Nevertheless, numerous other aspects of these languages, like Chulym Turkic verb derivation, have not been the subject of a separate research. According to various linguistic classifications, Chulym Turkic dialects are close to those of Shor and Khakass, thus joining them in the group of South Siberian Turkic. Consequently, it is logical to assume the existence of various similarities in the verb derivation systems of these dialects. The given article views peculiarities of the Chulym Turkic +LA- suffix verb formation in the context of the South Siberian Turkic languages the following conclusion on the semantic components of this suffix is drawn: it signifies human actions (with tools, in an emotional state, with a certain purpose, or at a certain time), and ordinary processes in nature and animals.

The description of the concept of electronic training by means of technology of avatars is provided in article. Basic elements of this concept are connected with application of virtual reality and possibility of the pupil-teacher interaction in the avatar-avatar or the pupil-avatar formats on the basis of the elements of artificial intelligence. The functions used in this system have to provide full maintenance of training in the discipline chosen by it. Implementation of this concept will allow not to completely replace the main traditional forms of education, but to diversify training elements, and also to make this process highly technological.

The article covers the issues of working group formation in the modern preschool education system. The attribution of individuals to the category of the “group” in the light of the theory of transition is analysed. The contents of such categories as “working group” and “working group of teachers” is revealed. The author studies the peculiarities of the municipal working group teachers’ activity in creation of the support system for children aged 1–3. The article presents the basic activities of the working group of specialists in various areas necessary for the organization of special support of young children in a separate municipal education system. The analysis of group behavior makes it possible to determine the characteristics of pedagogical activity of the working group, the effectiveness and potential of which depend on the selected criteria. The peculiar working group features are supported by specific content of the municipal group activity.
