The influence of mechanical grinding in abrading and cutting mills on the structure of peats, their physical, chemical and structurally-mechanical properties has been investigated. It was shown, that lowland peat has a big stock of elements of a mineral food, than high-moor peat. The grinding of high-moor peat increases its bulk density and leads to insignificant increase in a moisture capacity of both types of peat. Besides, the change of sizes of peat particles, group composition and rheological properties of peats has been investigated.

Complex structure of the genre of Erdman’s play “Suicide” is analyzed in the context of the classical examples of the tragedy with suicide. Traditional motives of suicide in Western drama are fault redemption, a desperate situation, honor, love, search for death as a form of “hidden suicides”. Russian Drama of the 19th century transfers motive of suicide from tragedy to a tragic farce or to “a comedy with suicide” by entering the motives “shammer of dead” and “unmotivated” suicide, which complicates the genre and distorts the mechanism of genre expectations. Reduction of the classical models and their rethinking take place in “Suicide” by Erdman, who created a rare genre – parody to tragedy.

The article considers mental dialogue as a methodological basis for engineering applied designees The author makes a supposition of an invariant structure of the dialogue thinking and suggests the conditions under which the dialogue takes place. The conclusion of the article is as following: a traditional linear scheme of design stages (technical task - technical offer - draft design - technical specifications and test samples) should be considered in terms of hermeneutic circle. The paper outlines the types of discourse-pragmatic functions and kinds of propositional-semantic content associated with the Loc-marked Agent constructions in Eastern Khanty. Selected methodology includes contrastive morpho-syntactic and contextual analysis of the narrative corpus, attending to the information structure and linguistic meta-data. Based on discourse analysis, it is hypothesized, that a wide cognitive faculty facilitating the structuring of information and specifying the roles of the participants, governs the choice of grammatical means, i.e. the construction types. It follows from the analysis of pragmatic, semantic and grammatical features of interacting discourse participants that specific system’s grammatical resources identify with certain pragmatic-semantic properties. The Loc-Agent constructions are prototypically used to express the events with more than one argument with competing topicality. The Loc-Agent constructions (agented passive and “ergative”) manifest a parenthetical shift in centrality of the discourse referents, where a secondary topic referent is competing with the primary agentive topic. This is expressed by temporary promotion of the secondary topical referent to the Loc-marked S grammatical relation. N.V. Polyakova. There are different options of the national language picture of the world, because the national language is heterogeneous. This variability is manifested in the texts of creative linguistic identity. This thesis is confirmed by numerous linguistic and literary studies of the creative work of the outstanding Russian writer of the XX century V. P. Astafiev. The writer had a great life experience and mastered several forms of the Russian national language: standardized literary language, common parlance, territorial and social dialects. Different variants of the Russian language picture of the world are associated with this forms. V. P. Astafiev showed life of Russia in his works, he used autobiographical principle of construction of literary text. For this reason the author’s individual language picture of the world that he presented in his texts includes elements of the different variants of the Russian language picture of the world.

Kazantseva Tatyana Yuryevna The Main Groups of the Gothic Nouns with Compound Stem-Building Markers and their Parallels in Indo-European Languages. // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 4 (55). P. 17-25

We have investigated ja-, jM-stems and found that they are characterized by the semantic unity. On the whole they denote animate objects of the real world or objects played the relevant role in economic life of the Germanic people. There are nouns marked by these stem-building markers, which express possession. Such nouns have the meaning of pertaining to something or somebody. We might conclude that the consonantal marker -j- is the characteristic of nouns of all three genders, therefore it didn’t relate to the grammatical category of gender, which was formed later. As the marker is rather old (Corbett), the original meaning of -j- was connected with an earlier category – category of animateness/inanimateness, i.e. it was the marker of animateness. This is determined by the semantic and etymological analyses of the Gothic ja-, jM-stems. It is possible to subdivide the Gothic nouns of ja-, jM-stems denoting animate things in perception of ancient people into six groups: 1) nouns denoting people and their occupation; 2) nouns of relationship; 3) nouns denoting animals and plants; 4) nouns denoting realities bound up with a person or animal; 5) nouns in any case pertaining to a person and his activity; 6) nouns denoting natural phenomena.

In the Yeniseian languages modifying words are distinguished as a single class, in which items display similar functional (they attribute nouns and verbs) and have the same morphological characteristics (they are non-inflected in the attributive function and inflected in the predicative function). The class of modifying words is represented by three big semantic groups: temporal, local and qualitative modifiers. The article will provide a classification of qualitative modifiers in the Yeniseian languages: Ket, Jugh and Kott.

In the article the mechanism of the inner representation of the fi gurative sexuality is researched. Based on the archival materials, this article describes the innovative experience by the Tomsk doctor and counsellor V.S. Pirussky in organizing summer children colonies, which are the recreation camps for physically weak teenage city children. The organizational-pedagogical ideas of this scientist are analysed for the possible interest of contemporary social work enthusiasts, teachers, physicians and managers.

The Siberian indigenous languages of the Ob-Yenissey basin (including Ket, Khanty, Selkup, and Chulym Turkic) are highly endangered. They have no written standard, and some have never been taught at school. The phonetic system, inflectional morphology (including verb forms), lexical structure, and methods of nominal word formation of these languages have been the target of some linguistic studies. Nevertheless, numerous other aspects of these languages, like Chulym Turkic verb derivation, have not been the subject of a separate research. According to various linguistic classifications, Chulym Turkic dialects are close to those of Shor and Khakass, thus joining them in the group of South Siberian Turkic. Consequently, it is logical to assume the existence of various similarities in the verb derivation systems of these dialects. The given article views peculiarities of the Chulym Turkic +LA- suffix verb formation in the context of the South Siberian Turkic languages the following conclusion on the semantic components of this suffix is drawn: it signifies human actions (with tools, in an emotional state, with a certain purpose, or at a certain time), and ordinary processes in nature and animals.

In the article the experience of practical realization of the project of Multilevel Continuous Education System (MCES) in closed settlement of the nuclear industry of Siberian Chemical Plant in Seversk. Tomsk region is analyzed. The investigation shows that MCES under conditions of Industrial implemented into Closed Administrative Territorial Unit (CATU) Seversk allows involving in educations process a large number of children and youth. This provides a possibility of purposeful formation of harmonically developed personality oriented to conducting of professional activity at factories and organizations of the Nuclear Department of the Russian Federation. The results of the investigation can be applied for solving similar tasks in the towns of the RF Nuclear Department, and also in other towns of Russian Federation.

Kuznetsov Pavel Mikhaylovich Functions of the Predicative Suffix of Adjectives in Vah-Vasyugan Dialect of Khanty Language // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2007. Issue 4 (67). P. 84-86

In Vah-Vasyugan dialect of the Khanty language there is the suffix -a7//-a7i, joining the stem of adjectives in the predicative function. The translations show, that this suffix also changes the intensity of quality, denoted by the adjective stem. Using an adjective as the predicate, the speaker puts some emotional coloring into it. It explains, why adjectives with -a7//-a7i suffix are translated sometimes as strong intensifiers, sometimes as weak intensifiers and sometimes as expressing the neutral intensity of the quality, denoted by the adjective stem.

The paper presents research of the frequent lexical items in early short stories by V. Nabokov. The study is based on defi ning the lexical-thematic groups in the texts. Having analysed the structure of the groups, the ratio of the more frequent lexical units to the less frequent ones and the correlation between the lexical items, we have made a number of conclusions which could facilitate understanding the author's artistic worldview.

The article considers the functioning of Americanisms in the newspaper style. The newspaper is acknowledged as a relevant source of information and a powerful means of the creation of its readers’ attitude (opinion). This fact reveals the basic functions of the newspaper style, that is to inform (the informative function) and to impact (the impacting function). Newspaper Americanisms, the ones that are frequently observed in the language of press, turn out capable of performing the outlined functions. The impacting function shows itself in the so called open evaluation of speech. It reveals its essence in two basic aspects, that is the creation of speech characteristics and the implementation of the social judgement. The article gives the analysis of different samples of Americanisms, performing the function of social markers in the newspaper style.

The author analyzes the forms of representing the phenomenon of the crowd in Maxim Gorky's literary works and publicism at the start of the XXth century as well as the ways of organizing the narrative situation and the typology of narrators. It is cleared out that the contradic-tive attitude of the writer to the phenomenon of the crowd is solved by means of creating a special artistic method which is characterized by his contemporaries as «pseu-do»- or «romantic» realism.
