| 1201 | The article is dedicated to the analysis of the regulative potential of the precedent name in media discourse. This problem is relevant in modern linguistics and is studied in the framework of different directions. The article points to communicative stylistics of the text in the aspect of the regulative theory. Methods of actualizing the regulative function of the precedent name are described on the textual material of the corpus of modern newspapers of the Russian National Corpus. Mythonyms which are prominent regulatory means of attracting the attention of the addressee were analysed in the article. Thus, contexts analysis of a newspaper corpus mythonyms Zeus, Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, Prometheus showed that in case of realization of mythonyms only the nominative function its regulative potential might be due to the invariant perception of a precedent text that is stored in the cognitive basis of the addressee and which is determined by its presuppositions. The factors influencing the degree of precedent onym’s regulativity in newspaper journalism, for instance, the use of situation-based illustrative context, the appeal to the source, the use of figurative means and transformed statements have been defined. Situational contexts that direct the recipient to the mythological stories serve as the actualizing mean of the relevant background information, its presuppositions. Mythonym in such a context is a strong regulatory tool, as not only appeals to the cultural memory of the audience, but fills in gaps in the information thesaurus. It is established that the regulative potential of precedent onyms is due to the implementation of cultural, educational and operating functions of the newspaper. | 1202 | The so-called epoch of the Internet, which has replaced the epoch of book, change dramatically the Russian literary language. That is to say, the language of media obtained the leading position amongst other language variations. The language of media is becoming a model language of the society and reflecting the current language practice. The media language represents the city linguistic norms and is focused on modernization (literary linguistic norms, in particular). This article is to set the hypotheses that there are two main form of the national modern literary language, existing in the modern information society. They are: 1) the elite literary language; 2) the mass literary language (and its implementation in the media as an option, which we mean “media language”). In mass-media communication, focused on mass media mind, literary standards are on the periphery of media content. Standard standards are superseded by norms of media communication, which draw their resources from the mass language of the whole society and themselves form this mass language. The present hypothesis is based on three fundamental principles: 1) the change of social status of modern media; 2) the definition of mass media language as common national language; 3) the concept of mediatization, which we develop in correlation to mass media language. This article concludes that traditional language norms are challenged by new technologies and are not relevant to speaking practice of mass media. | 1203 | The article is focused on the separated syntactic constructions as a productive syntactic model which is used in the headlines of online quality press. The headlines from online archives of The Telegraph and The Independent dated back to 2015 and 2017 are used as the material for the study. The article is aimed at explaining the reasons for the use of the separated syntactic constructions in the headlines and singling out the main types of the separated syntactic constructions which are used in the headlines of online quality press. They are segmented constructions (binary separated constructions in which the segment (the first part) represents the main notion and the base (the second part) represents an utterance about the notion); joining constructions (syntactic complex containing two semantically connected utterances which are joining part and joined carrying some additional information); parcelled syntactic constructions (constructions containing the main part and parcelled part(s) which is (are) the rema of the headline separated by a punctuation mark); constructions with parenthesis (when structures of different syntactic levels (words, word combinations, predicate constructions or sentences) are included in the text of the headline to give a particular detail or to emphasize something); and separated syntactic constructions of mixed type (constructions of special type containing all above mentioned separated syntactic constructions as means of syntactic convergence). The article concludes that the separated syntactic constructions help to increase information content of the headline taking into consideration the peculiarities of online media and making the headline more expressive and attractive to the reader. | 1208 | Currently, the most crucial social order is to prepare specialists with a number of professional and general cultural competencies. The ability for lifelong learning is one of them. It implies, firstly, the presence of skills to surf the surrounding information, secondly, selectively choosing the professionally significant material and, finally, sharing it in situations requiring precise solutions. Due to the avalanche of information and communication technologies in our up-to date life, students have a great possibility to satisfy their specific interests in the process of individual reading in a foreign language. Within it, the professionally-oriented foreign language reading skills are posed to be essential in the global network. Thus, the main goal of the present paper is to describe the teaching methodology of professionallyoriented foreign language reading, developed and based on the theoretical research results. The established methodology of teaching includes four main blocks: basis (the aim and objectives set), methodology (education approaches, principles and pedagogical conditions establishment), content (speech and language material work out) and result (the list of developing skills). These blocks determine the substantive and structural side of learning. The observed conditions were reflected in the electronic tutorial aimed at reading skills’ developing (roughly-referential, assign-informative, produce-informative) to work with professional texts in the technical university. The effectiveness of the proposed method is clarified and evaluated in the consistent steps of education that supply and model every next stage. As the result, the illustrated methodology provides appropriate pedagogical conditions for efficient teaching and studying. | 1209 | The article is devoted to one of the modern aspects of the Russian-Chinese linguistic interaction – Chinese advertising signs in the Russian language, a common border with Russia in northeastern China, in Heihe. The article presents a linguistic analysis of Chinese advertising signs in the Russian language, developed by native Chinese speakers, for their conformity to lexical-semantic norms. The purpose of this article is the interpretation of lexical interference as a cause of a violation of the lexical norms of the Russian language in the texts of Chinese signage in Russian. Thus, on all levels of the language system of the Russian and Chinese languages in their interaction in the texts of advertising signs of the border city of Heihe there were observed interlingual, and in some cases intralingual interference, reflecting a typological distinction of the interacting languages. The interference leads to a linguistic mixture of different elements (phonetic, lexical, grammatical) in the texts of advertising signs in the Russian language, which illustrates the «Chinese Russian language». Considering interlanguage and intralanguage interference in the texts of Chinese signage in the Russian language, we are attracted to study both forms of the contact languages explaining interference phenomena introduction as Chinese and Russian. Thus, the phenomenon of lexical interference in texts of advertising signs on the territory of the Chinese border city of Heihe, is largely the result of the interaction of contacting languages (Russian and Chinese), resulting in disturbances of lexical norms of the Russian language in them. | 1210 | One of the priority directions of the European Commission and the Council of Europe activity is considered: the policy on establishing the supra-national European identity of young people and development of the “European citizenship” concept. The available information on the problem in Russian social and humanitarian scientific discourse is defined; methodological grounds and a source base are described. The basic conceptual framework of the European Commission youth policy is revealed. The involvement of Germany into the formation processes, institutional structures and mechanisms of youth policy implementation in EU is demonstrated. The processes of establishing European self-consciousness of German youth are considered compared with the similar processes at the level of the European Union on the whole and the separate states-members of the EU. The key subjects for analysis are “European citizenship (citizenship of the European Union) and European identity”, “European Union and its perception”, “the future of the united Europe and perspectives of the young people”. Based on the statistical reports of “Eurobarometer” – public opinion research service of the European Union (2016–2017) the degree of establishing the European identity of German young people is analyzed and its substantive aspects are described. The correlation of various levels of identity of German youth is described: national and supra-national, European; as well as the affiliation to the European Union (the citizenship of EU), peculiarities of presenting European identity (studying the meanings and interpretations of the concept of general Europe), and the assessment of the future of united Europe by German and European youth is shown. The youth policy of the European Union and Germany on the establishing the supranational European identity is defined as effective. | 1211 | Introduction. The purpose of the article is the analysis of verbalization of maidenhood concepts in traditional culture. The materials of the study are dialect dictionaries, as well as the materials of dialectological expeditions conducted by Tomsk State University linguists from 1947 to nowadays in the dialects distribution territory of the Middle Ob Region. The use of this material allows us to explore the concept of maidenhood, taking into account the changes taking place in the dialect culture and caused by both linguistic and extralinguistic factors. Results. Concepts of maidenhood are objectified in the lexical and phraseological dialect units, nominating maidens and characterizing their behavior. In peasant culture, marriage was considered as the fulfillment of the main female life purpose. Therefore, society demonstrated the importance attached to the preservation of maiden honor. It was reflected in a number of stable combinations that denominate a virgin. Noncompliance with this form was a great disgrace for a girl and her parents. The loss of virginity and the birth of a child before marriage are characterized by units containing seme `shame‘. Zoomorphic metaphors are also used in dialect speech, indicating the comparison of extramarital relations with the animal world, in which the rules of human society do not operate. Marriage for a girl in traditional culture is perceived as a necessity, this fact is evidenced by the analysis of ritual lyrics. In dialectal folklore ditties are recorded with the intention of warning or recommendations not to marry. The use of a large number of verbs, the grammatical form of which reflects the lack of participation of the girl in the decision to marry is also characteristic. The analysis of the units nominating wedding ceremonies confirms the idea that marriage was economically beneficial and did not depend on emotional attachment. The wedding is treated as a ritual transition, initiating a girl to the status of a woman. At the same time, the transformation of the concept of maidenhood is shown due to social, historical and economic factors. Dialect speakers note a change of social norms. They condemn the behavior of modern girls, in relationships with the opposite sex before marriage, and the lack of a sense of shame for that matter. Dialect speakers also mention the disappearance or simplification of the wedding rite and the absence of legal relations between the spouses. | 1212 | Introduction. A retrospective analysis of the history of the relationship between the Tat and Kumyk languages has not yet been the subject of special consideration. Its chronological and areal limits are from the oldest contacts in the North Asian region at the level of the pre-languages to the early medieval era of the existence of the Khazar Khaganate in the East Caucasus. The aim is to provide the necessary historical and linguistic material at the disposal of Tati language researchers, which reflects the retrospective stages of its relationship with the Kumyk language, correlating with the main tasks of this study. Objectives include: 1) the oldest stage of the pre-language relations of these languages, associated with the effect of the Proto-Turkic substrate on Prairan; 2) ancient (III–II thousand BC) – contacts of the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tati, which led to the development of the second (ancient) type of Turkic rotacism in them; 3) connections of the early medieval (Khazar Khaganate) era, the legacy of which are the Hebraisms of the Kumyk language. Material and methods. The material is reviewed at the level of various synchronous slices. At the same time, the methods of the comparative historical method, as well as linguistic geography and areal geography, are used. Results and discussion. The presence in Prairan vocalism of the Prototurk substrate umlaut (reverse harmony of vowels) turns out to be due to the contacts of the corresponding proto-languages in the front Asian zone. Later (III–II thousand BC) their manifestations include rotacism in the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tati. Even later is the general Turkic progressive harmony of vowels, known to both Tat dialects. By the early Middle Ages, the appearance of a noticeable number of Hebraisms of the Khazar era in the Kumyk language refers. Conclusion. The oldest level of relations between the Tat and Kumyk languages includes the presence in the Prairan vocalism of the Proto-Turkic substrate umlaut, the development of which turns out to be due to the contacts of the corresponding forelanguages in the front Asian zone. Later (III–II thousand BC) in the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tat, the ancient Turkic (Bulgarian) rotacism develops. Even later, due to bilingualism, the general Turkic progressive harmony of vowels is divided with the local Turkic languages in the Tati language. In the early Middle Ages, a noticeable number of Hebraisms – borrowings from the Hebrew language – penetrated the vocabulary of the Kumyk language. | 1231 | Introduction. Currently, within the world market of higher education, the number of foreign students admitted each year is one of the main indicators of a successful university. Therefore, it is important to study cultural adaptation of foreign students during the course of their education at Russian universities. There is a growing need for new methods of training that stimulate individual adaptation. Project activities as part of teaching Russian as a foreign language proved to be the most effective method of socio-cultural adaptation. The study examined specific problems and peculiarities related to the process of adaptation of foreign students during the course of their education. The language barrier was identified as the main difficulty. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the feasibility of project activities implemented in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The goal of these activities was to improve social and cultural adaptation of foreign students and to demonstrate how positive results were obtained during the experiment. Materials and methods. The study was based on personality-oriented, systematic and dialogue-and-activity approaches. Common scientific methods used were: questioning, comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization. The main methodology was project-based learning. Results and discussion. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the application of the method of project training in the course of Russian as a foreign language in the framework of a long-term practice-oriented project for the formation of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students at the II certification level. The specificity of project training in the conditions of formation of social and cultural adaptation of foreign students is defined. The scientific idea of project training in the field of Russian as a foreign language is concretized. The study reviewed a group of factors affecting the process of adaptation. Adaptation, as applied to the educational environment of a university, is defined as a diverse process resulting from many factors such as: admissions, development and personality growth of foreign students within the educational space. The study investigated the basic concepts of project-based learning and proved the efficiency of project activities during the course of studying Russian as a foreign language. The practice oriented project “We are in Russia” was presented as an examples of the tools used in the process of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students. The study showed that the program of the project is successful in encouraging foreign students to further study in Russian at a Russian university. Moreover, the program proved useful in helping foreign students who already spoke Russian at certificate levels 1 and 2 adapt better. The necessity of including project activities in the educational process of this category of students was substantiated. The study expands our scientific understanding of the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. It also offers teachers of Russian language an opportunity to choose the correct tools in order to facilitate adaptation within a changing educational environment, and also serves as the basis for further research in the field of professional training of teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Publication materials provide teachers of Russian as a foreign language an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the potential and diversity of project-based training practices while adapting to the conditions of a specific educational institution. Conclusion. The proposed method is aimed at eliminating the negative effects of the external environment while allowing the individual to adapt to the changing social environment. It also plays an important social and adaptive role in the life of foreign students. Thus, the project methodology was conceived as an interactive activity, which allowed us to obtain personality-significant expertise, and was defined as the most effective way of learning Russian as a foreign language. | 1232 | Introduction. The article describes the structural and semantic properties of derivatives with the suffix-ung, which is productive in the word formation of the modern German language. A brief historical reference contains information about the use and distribution of this suffix in the old high German and early high German periods. The aim of the article is to identify the morphological features, structural and semantiс properties of derivatives with the suffix -ung in the newspaper vocabulary of the modern German language. Material and methods. Sources for the analysis were German-language Newspapers, from which most of the selected material are the verbal nouns. The identified properties of derivatives confirm the existing theory in linguistics about the productivity of the suffix-ung, due to such factors as transitivity, the presence of a prefix or its absence, as well as the attribution of the generating base to a certain part of speech. These factors are fundamental in the work. Verbs are as generating bases in relation to the influence of transitivity on the word-forming possibilities of the suffixung. Results and discussion. Prefixed verbs act as frequency generating bases for the formation of ung-nouns. In such word-forming processes, the bases of verbs with inseparable prefixes predominate. The suffix-ung is subject to various interpretations, taking into account the correlation of the generating bases with any part of speech. The most frequent meaning of this suffix is the meaning of an action, process, result of an action, or object that arose as a result of this action, which indicates the reflection and preservation of verbal partial semantics in the semantic structure of derivatives. Conclusion. Structural and semantic properties of derivatives act as a mutually determining criterion for the frequent use of the suffix-ung in the word-formation processes of the modern German language. The obvious productivity of the suffix, characteristic of newspaper texts, is the basis for a prospective study of ung-nominalizations in various types of discourse. | 1237 | On the material of the novel “Teacher of fencing” by А. Duma and memoirs of P. Annenkova the author examines the semantics of the image of the decembrist’s wife expressed in the culture of the second half of the 19th century. The specificity of functioning of this type of woman personality comes to light in artistic and autodocumentary discourse. In addition, the analysis is carried out in a comparative aspect: the variants of the Russian and French reception of the decembrist culture and the image of decembrist’s wife are compared. In Russian literature maintenance of the concept of decembrist’s wife is based on spiritually-moral descriptions: oblatory love, devotion, loyalty, patience, courage. The ethical markers of this woman type are genetically related, on the one hand, to аutodocumental tradition of description of a wife, sharing the fate of the “disgraced” (often exiled to Siberia) spouse; and on the other hand, ascend to canonical character of a righteous wife, characteristic of the hagiografic genre. In the novel of А. Duma the beloved of the decembrist I. Annenkov is represented exceptionally in the field of love and love plot, and the chronotop of the novel is limited to the space of intimate history. Thus, the love of the character is interpreted by the teller only as a display of a strong woman passion and is not connected with the spiritually-moral categories of debt, sacrifice, etc. The image of the woman character in the Duma’s novel substantially differs from its prototype (P. Аnnenkova) and from the heroic type of woman personality presented in the Russian literature. | 1238 | The topicality of this research is determined by anthropocentrism of modern humanities knowledge, compliance with the new cognitive-discursive paradigm, insufficient knowledge on poetic worldview of O. E. Mandelstam in the course of his creativity. Conceptual analysis makes it possible to make out subtle details in the author’s works that have not been studied before. Also, the analysis allows us to describe peculiarities of the poet’s perception of the world in this or that period of his work; to reveal features and means of representation of the key concepts in his poetic worldview. The aim of the article is to examine one of the key concepts of the works of O. E. Mandelstam – the concept “music”. Based upon M. L. Gasparov’s periodization of the poet’s creative work, the poetic texts of the early period of the author’s creative work (collection “The Stone” (1913)) are analysed. The choice of this concept is determined by its significance and a major role in the poet’s life. Results. As a result of the conducted research it was revealed that verbalization of the concept of “music” in Mandelstam’s early creative work has an individual author’s character. This statement has been proved thanks to the following procedures: – comparison of the usual meaning of the lexeme “music” that is shown in dictionaries (definition and associative ones) with that of the author. As a result, it has been revealed that there is a broadening of the basic, usual meaning in the author’s worldview by means of building-up of new senses (music not only has the sound incarnation; the absence of sound or silence is also a kind of music that can only be heard by a person with a special mindset); – highlighting several directions of associating (music – silence – sleep; music – the fundamental principle; music – hope for salvation) and their detailed analysis based on the most typical poems of the early period Mandelstam’s creative work and included in the poet’s first collection of works “The Stone”. – the analysis of the lexical structure of the author’s poetic texts in which the concept is reflected (highlighting of the main means of representation of the concept “music” and the text paradigms that are part of the association area of the analysed unit of the author’s sphere of concepts). Conclusion. The conducted research is significant in terms of concretization of the author’s individual style and his poetic worldview. | 1239 | Introduction. Social networks are currently a platform not only for interpersonal, but also for professional communication. Due to the importance of the communicative aspect for medical activity, doctors support this trend. Thus, the implementation of the doctor’s self-presentation strategy in the social network requires scientific justification. Aim and objectives. The purpose of the research is to identify and analyze the communicative tactics and verbal means of implementing the doctor’s self-presentation strategy in the social network. Material and methods. The research material was the doctor’s media texts of the social network Instagram, created in the genre of network media post-presentation. The reason for choosing the material is the popularity of using the social network for personal and institutional communication on the Internet. The methodological basis of the research is the discursive and communicative-pragmatic approaches to the analysis of the text. Results and discussion. A post on a social network is a communicative event and has three levels of analysis: text, discursive practice, and social practice. The communicative interaction of a doctor and a “mass patient” is formed under the influence of media discourse into an independent discursive practice – medical blogging. Medical communication in the process of public functioning on the Internet reveals the features of mass media, marketing and personalityoriented discourses. The communicative-pragmatic analysis of media texts allowed us to reveal communicative tactics of label communication, communication of information about education, appeals to the profession through images of “I am a doctor” and “I am an expert in the field of medicine”, transfer of subjective information, actualization of devotion to the profession, accentuation of negative information, and ability to overcome difficulties. The linguistic analysis demonstrated the use of typical language means, characteristic of Internet communication. Conclusion. Analysis of the communicative tactics of the doctor’s self-presentation strategy allows us to conclude that the media text of the Instagram social network has a high potential in creating an attractive image of a representative of the medical community. The status of a medical blogger allows a doctor to use communicative tactics of media communication to form a positive professional image in the knowledge of a mass audience. | 1249 | Mysterious figure of the Enlightenment famous adventurer Count Cagliostro (real name Giuseppe Balsamo) left mark in European culture, and became the basis for the “Cagliostro’s myth”. Reflections of this myth in Russian literature usually assigned to Count Cagliostro’s visit to Russia (1780). The article examines three works of Russian literature of the XX century, which connected the image of Cagliostro with a fable about a sorcerer and an enchanted beauty. In Russian tradition of this plot, which started by Pushkin's “Poltava” and N. V. Gogol’s “A Terrible Vengeance”, the heroine for the soul of whom are fighting the forces of good and evil, often becomes the personification of Russia. Comparison of stories of A.N. Tolstoy and I. S.
