These peculiarities are considered in the context of the marketing communication barriers, which occur in process of marketing message recognition by customers. There are five consequentially occurring barriers: attention; understanding; trusting; remembering and first actions. We analyze them in three aspects: 1) the influence of four factors, which characterize the marketing message, showing its quality and efficiency (these are form, contents, technical facilities and organization of the massage); 2) the influence of Russian customers’ peculiarities, which determine the smooth or hard coming of marketing message over this or that barrier of marketing communications; 3) making the set of marketing communication instruments, which could be most effective to overcome each barrier. | 1360 | Introduction. Relevance of the research is determined by the interest of modern linguistics and translation science in search of effective ways of preserving author’s individual style in translation. Aim and objectives. The present paper attempts to discuss A. Bromfield’s ways and decisions to render the principal features of V. O. Pelevin’s individual style in “Generation P” postmodernist novel. Materials and methods. The research is based on two text sources: the Russian original text of “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin and its English version “Homo Zapiens” (transl. A. Bromfield). The methods applied are general scientific (observation and description) and linguistic (text analysis, comparative analysis). Results and discussion. Rendering of author’s idiostyle features is one of the basic tasks of literary translation. Novel “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin’s, marked by intertextuality and syncretism of style and narration characteristic of Russian postmodernist paradigm, strikes the reader with own specific eclecticism, word play, multi-layered picture of reality, plentiful quotations and allusiveness. The challenging attempt of Russian-English literary translation by British interpreter A. Bromfield, trying to restore V. Pelevin’s idiostyle principal features manifested in plexus of expressive means and stylistic devices, is discussed in the article. Conclusion. In authors’ view, some minor flaws in rendering of V. Pelevin’s idiostyle may be caused by incompleteness of comprehension of “Generation “P”” text, loaded by multifaceted linguistic affluence of style. The most sensitive omission for the author’s idiostyle is probably zero translation of English insertions as principal features of Pelevin’s bilingual narration, as well as the decision to neutralize some colloquialism. | 1369 | In the twentieth century the literature for children creates its own tradition of using of crocodile image. Korney Chukovskiy pioneered the use of this image. His version of the character has become very well known, researchers have linked it with the manifestation of the spirit of St. Petersburg. In the second half of the century, the authors repeatedly use the image of crocodile. It makes sense to refer literary works that explore this type, such as a book by K. A. Bogdanov “About crocodiles in Russia. Sketches from the history of borrowing and exoticisms” (2006). This animalistic exoticism reflects the intention of poetry to express the absurd, paradoxicalness. The latest Siberian literature for children also uses this exotic image. We explore texts of poems by several autors of contemporary Siberian poetry for children such as Bergelson, Sirotin, Eroshin, Olear in order to illustrate changes in the mythology of crocodile, and in the deployment of this icon. Conflict of friend-or-foe is developing in the regional literature. Rare animal loses its naturalistic features. In poems this monster is able to evolve constantly. This paper presents the typology of the different animalistic signs, describes the process of image formation. It is an attempt to develop a theoretical basis for the perception of this image. | 1370 | The main idea of the article is a statement that mastering the basics of conceptual analysis by high-school students enables them to acquire textual competence. Nowadays, there is no standard definition of the term ‘concept’; there are several methods of conceptual analysis. A concept is something versatile. In various fields of studies, researchers draw special attention to one or another aspect of the concept. The article presents a review of some methods of carrying-out a conceptual analysis of a text and of a word generally accepted both in cognitive linguistics and cognitive poetics and in the Russian language teaching methods. The author proposes an improved version of conceptual analysis worked out in accordance with communicative stylistics of the text. This version is adapted to the practical issues of shaping text competences of students at school. This method is illustrated by the example of the concept ‘death’ verbalized in the poem of O. E. Mandelstam. Such kind of work should be given as part of an elective course taking into account that this kind of activity is not included in the curriculum. The course of work is controlled by the teacher because the students need a teacher to explain scientific terms to them, as well as to help them with step-by-step performance of the exercise. It is important to use diverse dictionaries (definition dictionaries, etymological dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms, of antonyms and others). The goal at this stage is to find necessary dictionary entries and to analyze them to discover coincidences / distinctions in semantics and actual meaning of the key units that actualize the principal attributes of the concept and are reflected in the vocabulary and in the poem of the poet. Equally important is the final stage of the work which is to generalize and to formulate the author’s own opinion on the content of the concept. The article may be interesting for the students of pedagogical universities and the Russian language teachers. Keywords: concept, method of conceptual analysis, textual competence | 2113 | |||||

Adaptation, as applied to the educational environment of a university, is defined as a diverse process resulting from many factors such as: admissions, development and personality growth of foreign students within the educational space. The study investigated the basic concepts of project-based learning and proved the efficiency of project activities during the course of studying Russian as a foreign language. The practice oriented project “We are in Russia” was presented as an examples of the tools used in the process of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students. The study showed that the program of the project is successful in encouraging foreign students to further study in Russian at a Russian university. Moreover, the program proved useful in helping foreign students who already spoke Russian at certificate levels 1 and 2 adapt better. The necessity of including project activities in the educational process of this category of students was substantiated. The study expands our scientific understanding of the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. It also offers teachers of Russian language an opportunity to choose the correct tools in order to facilitate adaptation within a changing educational environment, and also serves as the basis for further research in the field of professional training of teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Publication materials provide teachers of Russian as a foreign language an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the potential and diversity of project-based training practices while adapting to the conditions of a specific educational institution. | 1374 | In clause theoretical development of problems of the social state in works of the German doctor of the right, the sociologist and economist Lorentz von Stein (1815-1890)which is the pioneer and classic of the European model “state of social assistance” is discussed. The scientific heritage, especially development of the social doctrine of a society , exactly the basic conclusion about its evolution in a social direction, take the important place in the European and international political ideas, exceeding the bounds of a concrete research object, and space and time of his epoch. The urgency of a theme is caused by a modern active discussion of prospects of paradigms change of the European model of the social state from « the state of the social assistance» to « the state of investments», but appeals of refusing the archaic social policy, which leads to “excessive social expenses” do not find unanimous support. | 1375 | Customarily one speaks of the influence that great Russian playwrights like Gogol, Sukhovo-Kobylin and Ostrovsky had on Nikolai Erdman. But it can be shown that Erdman also knew well the works of other classic writers, such as Fyodor Dostoevsky and Alexander Blok. This becomes clear when conducting even a simple analysis of Dostoevsky’s “The Devils,” Blok’s famous essays on revolution and Erdman’s “The Suicide.” Dostoevsky’s Kirillov and Erdman’s Podsekalnikov are both individuals that others seek to push into the act of committing suicide for the general good. By the same token, one can even find the germ of the basic plot complication in Erdman’s play in one of Blok’s essays. Any of Erdman’s characters who have a vested interest in Podsekalnikov’s death could easily have uttered this phrase from Blok: “How can I object to a person who has been driven to suicide by the demands of individualism, demonism, aesthetics or, finally, the most concrete, most banal need of despair and anguish?” The point, however, is not so much that we can find echoes reverberating among the works of Erdman, Dostoevsky and Blok, but rather that these echoes allow us to determine that Erdman’s task in writing “The Suicide” was far greater than just to write a satire. In “The Suicide” Erdman created his own artistic universe which embodies his own unique philosophical world view. Keywords: N. Erdmann, F. Dostoevsky, A. | 1392 | The relevance of the article is determined by the need to develop environmental education and coordinate its various directions through creating the regional systems of continuous environmental education. Nowadays, despite a large number of works of such authors as A. N. Zakhlebny, E. N. Dzyatkovskaya, S. V. Alekseev, N. M. Mamedov and others devoted to the subject under study, an integral system of continuous environmental education has not yet been developed. The aim of our work is to specify this problem within the framework of environmental and chemical education and to single out its goals and objectives for various educational levels (school – institutions of additional education – technical college – advanced training courses). Certain elements of the continuous regional system of environmental and chemical education were first realized in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In particular, the ecological character of the school course of Chemistry within the regional component of education was obtained, the continuity of the Bachelor and Master degree programs in the technical university was achieved, the students’ project activities on various levels of environmental and chemical education were effectively integrated. It is shown that the interaction of higher educational institutions, schools and institutions of additional education for children, all in all make the objective results of schoolchildren better and contribute to their early professional orientation. The directions of the activities for school teachers’ refresher courses in the sphere of ecological and chemical education were determined; the functions of the scientific and educational ecological center that coordinates the environmental education in the Republic of Bashkortostan, were defined. | 1393 | Introduction. Quantitative and qualitative changes in the modern English vocabulary and regular production of extensive neogenic lexical segments in its content demonstrate the viability of this language and are vivid evidences of its dynamic evolution in the modern society confirming its leading position in the development trend indicators in the synchronous perspective. Coinciding with innovations in special areas of knowledge, modern English acts automatically as a vocabulary producer for new forming onomasiologic structures to which the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” belongs. Material and methods. Author’s corpus consisting of 1 144 lexical units served as a material resource for this research. The corpus was selected from authentic scientific and technical publications over the period from 2015 to 2019. The neologism status in the specified corpus segment was determined through lemmatic articles taken from representative lexicographical references books like “Dictionary of Mechanical Engineering”, “Dictionary of Technical Terms”, “Electropedia”, “Encyclopedia Britannica”, “Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering and Technology”, “Engineering Dictionary”, “Power Engineering Dictionary”, “Cambridge Dictionary”, “Collins Online Dictionary”, “Urban Dictionary”, etc. Structural and systemic approach constitutes the rational and empirical platform of this study enabling to interpret structural relations of lexical aggregates as a system (subsystem) of elements and the language as a structural and systemic formation. To determine the neologization extent of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” some traditional methods of logic (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, contrasting, etc.) and statistics (quantitative, grouping method) as well as linguistic methods (descriptive and structural for component and constituent analysis) were used. Results and discussion. The formation of terminological neologisms is continuous while their lexicographical documentation is characterized by an impressive delay. Based on the quantitative and comparative analysis, the neogenic growth rate in thematic groups was determined and the localization of terminological neologisms in the lexical-semantic field was specified. The knowledge of neological distribution makes it possible to predict the trends of terminology formation in the field of smart energy systems in the modern English. Two and three component wordformative models are predominant in thematic groups which reflect their nominative function and display their tendency to specification. The vocabulary enhancement of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” follows two ways: the extension and abridgement of words and collocations lexical length reflecting current trends in the lexical enrichment in the modern English. Conclusion. Upon the analysis of the lexical-semantic structure of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” the following conclusion is made: the peripheral zone, formed around the core, contains the language material imported from allied onomasiologic fields and, therefore, distinguishes by the fastest pace of neologization. | 1396 | The paper analyzes the two main approaches to the phenomenon of systems diversity: diversity as defect that must be eliminated by specialization and diversity as a merit, providing systems’ sustainability and flexibility. The size of single-purpose systems is constrained by market size only, a broad specialization objectively prevents the system from being small. It is shown that for any system organizing diversity in networks is more preferred strategy than strict implementing of comparative advantages within the hierarchies.
