Nizkodubov G.A. The Current Stage in the History of American English.. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 4 (55). P. 96-101

In the traditional context of language teaching, English as an additional language is usually based on the standards of either British or American English. However, with the advent of the Spanish language in the USA, the concept of a single supranational standard to which both UK and US norms contribute may no longer exist. Thus, in particular, explains that the Spanish language is having a greater influence in the rapidly expanding area of American English.

Zinn M.A. Typologically Significant Features of the Verbal Derivational Categories ‘Iterarive’ and ‘Semelfactive’ in Ket.. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 4 (55). P. 156-161

The purpose of the paper is to highlight the main features of the category of distribution in time and determine the basis for typological analysis of the selected Ket verbal derivational categories. On the one hand, the main semantic features of the Ket category of distribution in time are considered, on the other hand the attention is paid to the means of the description of these features. The analysis presented in the paper shows that the main feature of the semantic category of the verbal quantity is the split into two derivational patterns. The first pattern ‘iterative’ includes the opposition of multiplex and full-cycle verbs, the second pattern ‘semelfactive’ involves only one semantic class of verbs (sound production verbs), moreover it is based on the oppositions within two cognitive categories plexity and state of boundedness.

Grekova M.V. IMAGES OF DISHES IN RUSSIAN METAPHORICAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD (COGNITIVE-DISCURSIVE AND LEXICOGRAPHIC ASPECTS). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 2 (179). P. 18-24

The article analyzes figurative words and expressions that show the metaphorical character of dishes. The analysis is based on the theory of figurative language and combines the semasiological and cognitive approaches to the description of figurative language units that implement conceptual metaphorical and metonymic models through the system of their meanings. The motivating names for figurative words and expressions are 52 units including diminutives and word-formation: bottle, fork, spoon, mixer, bowl, knife, pepper, glass, plate, cup, etc. These names motivate 225 figurative lexical and phraseological units: “bochka” (very fat person), “kuvshinka” (waterlily), “kak myska” (about round and convex shape of something), “proyti kak nozh skvoz’ maslo” (easily, without difficulty), etc. Described figurative words and expressions represent metaphorical projection from the source-sphere “Dishes” to the 9 target-spheres (“Person”, “Artifacts”, “Nature facts”, “Social phenomena”, “Space” and others) associated with the figurative characteristic of the physical and non-material world, each of which is described in the article in detail. The greatest number of figurative words and expressions denote the phenomenon of reference to the following areas: “Person” (80 units), “Artifacts” (62 units), “Social phenomena” (46 units), “Nature facts” (16 units). The final part of the article is devoted to the lexicographic description of figurative vocabulary that reflects metaphorization of dishes in the Russian language and includes examples of dictionary entries.

Dubrovskaya N.V. THE SEMANTICS OF THE ATTRIBUTIVE CONSTRUCTIONS WITH THE COLOUR TERM “BLACK” IN THE TAZ DIALECT OF THE SELKUP LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 69-73

This work is devoted to the study of the semantics of the colour terms with the meaning of “black” in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The study of the prosaic folklore texts and lexicographical works showed that the main term for the black color is the lexeme sǟqy (sǟ). It can characterize the color of such objects from the sphere of animate and inanimate nature as: human skin (swarthy, sunburned and color of the bruise), human hair (brunette), plumage of a tomtit, colour of the silver fox, colour of the dense forests, peat, kings of spades or clubs in playing cards, colour of the water in the river (presumably the river of Angara) and the colour of clothing. There are examples of the male personal names, which include the color term with the meaning “black”. This study proposes the construction of the tables that include both objects characterized by the colour term in the Taz dialect and attribute constructions with the terms of colour. The table is accompanied by the comments and allows, on the one hand, to compare colour characteristics within one object, and, on the other hand, to study the semantics of the colour terms for “black” inherented for different objects. Thus, the present study based on the material of the Taz dialect of the Selkup language can serve as a basis for the further comparative studies and be of interest in the typological perspective, which can allow to fix the differences in the structure of the of the given semantic zone in the Selkup dialects.

Zamyatina O.M. PRESENT-DAY SCHOOL TEACHER MATRIX OF COMPETENCIES. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 6 (212). P. 118-125

Introduction. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the term “competency” in relation to primary or secondary school teachers, present the competencies model for the 21st century teacher identifying four crucial pedagogical competencies such as subject, methodology, psycho-pedagogical, communication and six key skills for any personality that determine his/her successful life as well. Aim and objectives. The aim of the paper is to clarify and formulate, in accordance with the related educational documents of Russian Federation, the composition of those competencies that determine the ability of school teachers to successfully solve not only familiar, but new professional tasks that confront them in connection with the acceleration of the pace of development of society. An attempt has been made to present the matrix of 21st century teacher competencies in relation to the skills of a modern person, ensuring successful future for him/her. Material and methods. The research materials provided are the Teacher Professional Standard establishing requirements needed at present for the personality type and professional competencies for school teachers and the Model of Teacher Certification based on the use of Unified Federal Assessment Materials. The detailed analysis of the above materials demonstrates that, on the one hand, they all declare the application of the competency-based approach in educational activities. On the other hand, the list of competencies identified in them differ in both quantity and definitions. Thus, in the education community there is still no unified understanding of competencies for school teachers. The research methods used are the analytical survey for analyzing pedagogical texts, guidelines and regulations in the field of education and the modeling method as the model of the 21st century teacher competencies has been developed. Results and discussion. The economic future of our planet requires the design and implementation of a new educational system already in the 21st century. Students’ learning outcomes in the latest educational standards are associated not only with the development of subject knowledge and skills, but also with the formation of their personality mastering them by universal methods of educational activity, which ensure the successful solution of individual cognitive and other tasks both in the learning process and in other practices. In this regard, today the demand for a highly qualified, creatively working, socially active and competitive teacher who is able to educate a socialized personality in a rapidly changing world has increased. Teachers working with students should have a set of certain professional competencies that meet urgent needs of modern life. Conclusion. Based on the results of educational environment research, the idea of 6 (six) key skills meeting the following needs of modern society has been configured: cooperation, communication, critical thinking, content, creativity, self-confidence. The development of these competencies just provides a competency-based approach in education.

Kanno S. A unified view of RS braneworlds. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2004. Issue 7 (44). P. 15-24

There are various different descriptions of Randall-Sundrum (RS) braneworlds. Here we present a unified view of the braneworld based on the gradient expansion approach. In the case of the single-brane model, we reveal the relation between the geometrical and the AdS/CFT approach. It turns out that the high energy and the Weyl term corrections found in the geometrical approach merge into the CFT matter correction found in the AdS/CFT approach. We also clarify the role of the radionin the two-brane system. It is shown that the radion transforms the Einstein theory with Weyl correction into the conformalty coupled scalar-tensor theory where the radion plays the role of the scalar field.

Dyrin V.A. Dynamics of some indicators of biological activity in peat native and recultivated sites of lowland marsh ecosystem. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2009. Issue 1 (79). P. 95-101

In peat soil number of the microorganisms assimilating organic and mineral forms of nitrogen, their parity, production СО2, correlating with number of given microorganisms, a cellulose mineralization are defined by a number of factors: a hydrothermal mode, presence of nutrients in the form of NPK and spontaneously present at peat N-NH3, a competition from plants at assimilation of nutrients. Results of definition of number of microorganisms methods of direct consideration under a microscope and crops on nutrient mediums have the alternative character, confirming opinion that number of microorganisms not always reflects their activity. Higher indicators of biological activity in residual peat under grown up cereal grasses, in comparison with a native soil, testify to an intensification in it of destructive processes

Stakhin N.A. AN EXAMPLE OF USING COMPUTER ALGEBRA MAXIMA IN THE DISCIPLINE “COMPUTER MODELLING”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 12 (165). P. 86-92

The article deals with the modelling of pilot falling from a height of 6 000 meters in water. It is shown that the use of computer algebra system (CAS) Maxima qualitatively improves the consideration of the topic “Freefall considering environmental resistance”, traditionally studied in the discipline “Computer simulation”. Maxima has found the general solution of the nonlinear differential equation and found a partial solution with zero initial conditions – the Cauchy problem. CAS Maxima has found the analytical expression for the rate of fall and height fallen down as the functions of time. CAS Maxima has obtained the asymptotic behavior of the rate of fall in the time and has calculated the rate limit of fall. CAS Maxima calculated numerically intermediate values of fall speed and height fallen down for the 15 time values in the range of 1–15 in increments of 1. These values are compared with analogical values calculated by numerical method in book, with the standard deviation for rate is equal 2 %. CAS Maxima has plot graphics the rate of fall versus the time.

The rapidly changing social reality which researchers characterize as a situation of social uncertainty, determines the challenges, problems and opportunities of the youth’s living space. The lack of clear guidelines for the future, the reassessment of the values of the older generation, serious functional changes in the family institution, the increasing influence of the mass information media and the Internet space, actualize the need for targeted educational interaction of social institutions with young people. The article describes the situation of uncertainty as an opportunity for the development and actualization of the social potential of young people, the manifestation of an active and responsible position of a young person in various interrelated living spatial circumstances. Three groups of problems that define the living space of younger generation and are formed in the situation of uncertainty are presented: the organization of the educational space of educational organizations that promotes the realization of the potential of the young man as a subject of his own life; use of the opportunities of society and its transformation into an educational space; effective interaction of social institutions in the education of youth. Authors studied an impact of selective ligands of cannabinoid (CB) receptors on the contractility of the isolated perfused rat heart during global ischemia and reperfusion. A perfusion by solution containing the selective CB-agonist HU-210 exacerbated a cardiac contractility dysfunction. This cannabinoid decreased the left ventricular developed pressure, the maximal rate of contraction and relaxation of the heart during reperfusion but had no effect on the heart rate and the end diastolic pressure. Negative inotropic effect of HU-210 was transient and disappeared after 5 min reperfusion. The pretreatment with the selective CB1 receptor antagonist SR141716A and the selective CB2 receptor antagonist SR144528 had no effect on the myocardial contractility during reperfusion. In conclusion, the present results indicate that CB receptor stimulation can exacerbate reperfusion contractility dysfunction of the heart. Endogenous cannabinoids are not involved in the development of myocardial contractility dysfunction during ischemia/reperfusion of the heart.
