| 1913 | The article is devoted to the role of pronunciation in teaching French. Attention is focused on prosodic factors that play an important role in the process of understanding a statement. Decoding of verbal communication takes place at the intellectual, linguistic, emotional and relational levels. The interlocutors perceive not only individual words, but also the tone of the utterance. Intonationally transmitted information allows you to understand the deep meaning of the utterance and its components. The purpose of the study is to determine the place of the phonetic component in the methodology of teaching a foreign language. The following research methods are used in the work: analysis of pedagogical, methodological, linguistic literature and the work experience of Russian and foreign phonetists; the method of scientific description; synthesis and generalization of their own practice of teaching French at the university. Many modern researchers in the field of foreign language teaching methods are supporters of communicative learning, leading to a new perception of the role of pronunciation, and awareness of the importance of intonation parameters of speech. The effectiveness of teaching the French language is increased with the use of special exercises for practicing prosodic phenomena, in which the phonosemantic approach appeals to sound matter and contributes to the formation of foreign language pronunciation skills. The result is the development of exercises based on the analysis of traditional and modern didactic principles. It is proposed to practice pronunciation skills in order to correct oral speech according to the following parameters: intonation and rhythm, intensity of articulation, phonetic environment. The effectiveness of training at the segment level increases with the use of exercises based on the principle of “from simple to complex”. The suprasegmental level, which implies normative stress, correct melody, rhythm, and pauses, also plays a significant role in mastering the articulation base of the language being studied. Only the complex perception of the above phonetic phenomena leads to the assimilation of the articulatory base of a foreign language. Thus, students need to master phonetic and phonological skills, since their insufficient formation will have negative consequences for the entire language learning process. One of the necessary conditions for its formation is the independent solution of tasks of varying degrees of complexity, so during programming training it is important to pay special attention to the organization of independent study. Essential assistance in the organization of self-guided work within the programming training can be provided by the use of special software tools that allow to check the correctness of the developed program automatically. We propose an approach based on the use of the specialized system ‘Ejudge’, which allows to check the correctness of the training program. This system is networked, deployed on the server, work with the system, which is implemented via web interfaces, can be conducted both by the administrator and by users, in the role of which students and teachers act. This technology provides additional opportunities in the organization of training. On the one hand, the trainee can work with the system from any place in which access to the Internet is provided. At the same time, all actions of the trainee are recorded on the server, and are accessible to the teacher. The skills of working with such a system are also necessary for participation in academic competition on programming. | 1924 | Yiddish, the language of Ashkenazic Jews, arose about ten centuries ago as a result of contact with various dialects of Medieval German. Of all the Germanic languages, Yiddish looks least Germanic: it uses a Hebrew alphabet and is read from right to left, and its grammar and lexicon have undergone considerable influence not only from Hebrew and Aramaic, but also from various Slavic languages. Between 1890 and 1920 millions of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe boarded ships for America. They were fleeing the tragic events that shook the Old World. So Yiddish language and culture began its journey on a new continent. Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia were among the cities where Yiddish theaters, newspapers, and book publishers thrived. A Yiddish vaudeville sprang up, featuring performers who could switch in the blink of an eye from dances and funny jokes to sentimental songs. The heart of the culture lay in New York, where Second Avenue acquired the nickname “the Yiddish Broadway.” Yiddish words were quick to enrich American English - words like bagel, bupkes, chutzpah, klutz, schlemiel, schlep, schmuck, tchotchke, etc. Many words and phrases from Yiddish you can encounter today in American books, magazines, newspapers; or hear on television or radio, in movies or nightclubs; or may overhear on the street in many cities in the United States. It is the first time when the materials of the Tomsk dialect dictionaries and the Tomsk dialect corpus are considered from the point of view of their informativeness and reliability as sources of linguoculturological study of the nominations of material culture objects of the rural inhabitants of the Middle Ob. Material and methods. The research materials represent the dialects of the Middle Ob, recorded in the dictionaries of the Tomsk dialectological school and the database of the Tomsk dialect corpus. The main method of the research is continuous sampling. In addition, the authors used the methods of scientific description, contextual analysis, and linguoculturological commentary. Research and discussion. The analysis of the involved sources revealed their potential in terms of the possibilities of their use for linguoculturological research. The materials of the dictionaries and the Tomsk dialect corpus include the following groups: nominations for men’s, women’s, outerwear, underwear, headwear and footwear. The study showed that the cultural component of the lexeme is already manifested in the zone of interpretation. The illustrative material that accompanies the article clarifies and expands the cultural layer of the meaning of the word due to the actual functioning of the word in speech. The textual realization of the same word further expands the cultural representations attached to the word. Taken together, the data of these sources constitute a real picture of the existence of words denoting objects of material culture, even those that are outdated. The total number of studied nominations is 1 237; the studied lexemes realize in 5 279 text passages. Conclusion. The dialect lexicon contains an extensive layer of culturally specific units, nominations for items of clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. Their linguocultural content is consistently traced in the works of the Tomsk dialectological school, both in the interpretation of meaning and in the illustrative part. The actual material demonstrating the functioning of the word in speech may contain information about the age of the carrier, his gender, status, financial condition. Lexical units denoting the color and material of clothing are also representative indicators. | 1934 | Each ethnos has its own ideas of the world and the system of worldly space structuring that allows orienting in space. The idea of the three-part structure of the world including the Upper, Middle and Lower Worlds is common for many nations as well as the idea of existence of vertical and horizontal projections of the universe. In mythology the Upper World is connected with the highest gods. It is located over people. The Middle World is the place inhabited by people and animals. The Lower World is associated with the world of evil spirits and the dead. It is located under the ground or water. Ethnographic and linguistic material demonstrates coexistence of vertical and horizontal world projections in the Selkup worldview and presence of only the vertical world projection in the Russian one. The Middle World being according to the ancient beliefs the world for people and animals is the most significantly objectivized both in the Selkup and the Russian languages. The analysis of linguistic and ethnographic material allowed revealing essential differences in the Selkup and Russian ways of worldly space structuring. The circular type of space structuring is typical for the Russian ethnos as the representative of the farming culture. There is the house and householding buildings on the fenced territory in the center of the Russian worldly space, the next concentric circle includes the settlement, the second concentric circle consists of the fields and pastures having an important economic value, the third concentric circle includes forest grounds, the fourth is represented by the distant spaces. People feel the most familiar with the next and the second concentric circles and less familiar with the third and fourth concentric circles. | 1947 | Introduction. The study of the costume code of linguistic cultural type is presented. The relevance of this work is due to the lack of basic research studying the costume code in linguistic culture. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the vocabulary of the dialects of the Middle Ob region is considered as the result of objectification of the costume code of cultural in type. The purpose of the analysis of language material is to determine the essence and identify the specifics of the functioning of the costume code in dialect linguistic culture. The following tasks were set: to determine the circle of tokens through which the costume code is verbalized; carry out their classification; define the costume code functions that are represented in these language units. Material and methods. The research material was the dialectic speech of the inhabitants of the Middle Ob region recorded in the Tomsk dialect dictionaries and in the dialect base of the Laboratory for General and Siberian Lexicography of Tomsk State University. In the course of the work, more than a thousand lexical units were identified, objectifying the sphere of traditional Russian clothing. It is shown how the cultural semantics of the costume item is verbalized, i.e. it is represented in the language code. | 1949 | The new communicative-pragmatic paradigm in linguistics makes possible the study of internal laws determining the selection and adequate usage of words in communication. The present article focuses on pragmatic feautures of derivats in political discourse. Significant attention is given to the mechanism of selection and usage of word-formation units relevant from the point of speaker’s communicative intentions. | 2090 | |||||
| 1950 | The paper describes a conception of “standard model” for methane emission from the mires of West Siberia. The “standard model” is a complex of (i) methane flux probability densities distributions for typical ecosystems of all natural zones, (ii) period of CH4 emission for all zones, and (iii) fraction of wetland area for all zones. We present experimental data (methane fluxes in forest-tundra) which are the components of “standard model” Aa1. The medians of methane fluxes from palsе, oligotrophic hollows, peat mats and poor fens are 0,14, 1,12, 11,86 and 1,28 mgC•m-2•h-1 accordingly. All abovementioned values relate only to “period of methane emission” which is 120 days in forest tundra. Keywords: methane emission, West Siberia, forest-tundra, palsе mires | 2090 | |||||
