| 2251 | The article actualizes the problem of speech development of children at the stage of preschool education. It is noted that the standard of preschool education focuses on the new content of the educational field – speech development and outlines the tasks associated primarily with the need to form the desire of the child to communicate with peers and adults, the formation of communication skills. The author examines the reasons for reducing the overall level of language development of preschool children, which creates difficulties not only for the formation of coherent, grammatically correct speech, but also for their successful communication and socialization in the society of peers and adults. For full development, it is important to include every child in a confiding informal communication. It is noted that the methods for activation and development of preschoolers’ speech should be circumspect and carefully selected only those that are based on the children’s game. Only in this case they may be of interest, and most importantly not to cause harm to physical or mental health of the children. It is concluded that the construction of the educational process in preschool education should be based on age-appropriate methods and forms of work with children, focusing not only on the selection of appropriate techniques for the speech development of the child, but also on creation of comfortable environment for the child not be afraid to commit errors. | 2272 | The article investigates the little-known in the national historiography events associated with the early history of Canada, the French and Scottish colonization of America in the XVII century. Acadia/Nova Scotia (now the territory of one of the Maritime provinces of Canada) was in the midst of the Anglo-French colonial interests collision in a military conflict 1627–1629. Considers the conflict of father and son de La Tour which occurred against the background of these events and received a mixed assessment in the historiography. After arriving in America the first time in the early XVII century La Tours were at the origins of the first French settlements in Acadia and were experienced colonizers. In the late 1620s, these representatives of two generations of French families were on opposite sides in the Anglo-French colonial confrontation. The facts confirming the intention of the captured British Claude de La Tour to take British citizenship, not only for himself but also for his son who stayed in America. In this context, it shows the interaction of La Tour-older with Scot Sir William Alexander – the founder of the Scottish colony of Nova Scotia and Order Baronets of Nova Scotia. The conflict of Claude de La Tour and ignorance of his intentions by the son of Charles is analyzed on the basis of documentary evidence of the French colonizer Acadian N. Denys. The Russian translation of Denys’s notes in Russian historiography is presented for the first time. The results of the research show that more than half of the English sport snowboard lexicon consists structurally of two-component, three-component and four-component phrases. | 2275 | The so-called epoch of the Internet, which has replaced the epoch of book, change dramatically the Russian literary language. That is to say, the language of media obtained the leading position amongst other language variations. The language of media is becoming a model language of the society and reflecting the current language practice. The media language represents the city linguistic norms and is focused on modernization (literary linguistic norms, in particular). This article is to set the hypotheses that there are two main form of the national modern literary language, existing in the modern information society. They are: 1) the elite literary language; 2) the mass literary language (and its implementation in the media as an option, which we mean “media language”). In mass-media communication, focused on mass media mind, literary standards are on the periphery of media content. Standard standards are superseded by norms of media communication, which draw their resources from the mass language of the whole society and themselves form this mass language. The present hypothesis is based on three fundamental principles: 1) the change of social status of modern media; 2) the definition of mass media language as common national language; 3) the concept of mediatization, which we develop in correlation to mass media language. This article concludes that traditional language norms are challenged by new technologies and are not relevant to speaking practice of mass media. It provides a complete and coherent analysis of dictionary definitions of the name of this concept. Published in XIX–XXI dictionaries of Russian language are served as a source of practical material. The article also describes the first observations about the specificity of Russian concept in the background of correlative concepts. The notions of grammatical continuity and semantic integrity of a lexical combination are analysed. | 2295 | The article is devoted to the problem of folklore motives and their language representation. In folklore studies the following motives are distinguished: birth and death, three kingdoms, big house, marriage, enchanted forest and magic escape. The latter is one of the most popular motives not only in folklore but also in literature. The author resorts to the classification of magic escape forms introduced by V. Propp: magic escape alongside with throwing things/objects, magic escape connected with transformations, magic escape and pursuit. Special attention is paid to metamorphosis due to which characters can transform into different animals or birds (a horse, a wolf, a swan, an eagle, a hawk, a loon, a bear, a ruff) or objects (a ring, a straw, a needle). The characters of a runaway (a young man) and pursuer (a witch, a sorcerer) are studied. The article makes distinction between fairy tale plots and compositions in Russian and Selkup folklore. Some common and peculiar features are found. Magic escape motive is regarded as one of the oldest, it dates back to ancient mythology and could be found in different folklore traditions. The author comes to the conclusion that different motives are interweaved in fairytale plots. Cultural and ethnographic background determines peculiarities of Selkup and Russian prose folklore. The article is devoted to the cognitive and semasiological study of the metaphorization of taste characteristics (delicious, sweet, sour, fresh, etc.) that make up one of the significant segments of the conceptual gastronomic metaphor. Aim and objectives – to study the directions of metaphorization of figurative units motivated by adjectives with the original semantics of taste properties; to identify the bases of figurative analogies; to describe a fragment of the Russian language picture of the world presented by the system of figurative means of the language reflecting the characteristic food metaphor. Material and methods. The research material was made up of about 200 figurative lexical and phraseological units of the Russian language, reflecting the metaphorization of the properties of food products, metaphorically motivated by 15 adjectives. The study is based on the theory of the figurative structure of the language, in particular, the method of describing the lexical and semantic field is used. Results and discussion. Cognitive grounds for metaphorical characterization of various objects of reality are the nature and evaluation of sensations that occur in the subject of eating: 1) pleasant/unpleasant taste, 2) pronounced/ weakly pronounced taste, 3) high/low degree of suitability for eating. Conclusion. The figurative words and expressions, motivated by names of taste qualities, metaphorically characterize objects and phenomena of various spheres of reality: appearance, emotional state, character and behavior of a person; style and content of speech and artistic works; financial significance of economic objects; human attitude to the phenomena and events of life.
