| 2318 | The article contains a fragment of the analysis of the semantics of the derivatives of dialect verbs of speech with the aim of studying the pragmatic aspects of linguistic meaning. Classification of dialectal verbs is carried out in accordance with the classification of lexico-semantic groups of commonly used Russian verbs. Cognitive models are defined in the formation of characterizing actions associated with speech activity. Examples of propositions of verbs are given. It is established that characterizing verbs of this group can have mono- and polypropositive structures. It turned out that for the nomination of situations related to the speech activity of people, the subject of the proposition is relevant. It was determined that one of the propositions of the verbs can reflect the objective properties of the named action, the other can be the result of evaluating these properties. It turned out that the evaluation is contained in the derived verbs formed from the estimated nouns or arises in the process of word formation on the basis of the metaphor. Actual for carriers of dialects are LSG verbs of verbal communication and LSG verbs of speech influence. Dialectal verbs usually reflect a conflict situation. To form these verbs, metaphorical models are used, complicated by the Fictitious modality and the emotional modality. Emotional assessment is able to influence the interlocutor. The presence of metaphorical names is explained by the anthropocentricity of the group and the special discourse. It turned out that for the speakers, the dialect is characterized by a negative attitude toward meaningless, unproductive, verbose arguments; to the moral discredit of the interlocutor (semes “scold”, “gossip”). | 2335 | Introduction. Interest in the phenomenon of N. V. Gogol is now manifested both by the scientific community, as well as by playwrights and readers in Russia and abroad. In this regard, it is relevant to study the translations of Gogol’s works (and, in particular, the translations of the comedy “The Government Inspector”) into English, and especially to study such aspects of it as translation interpretation, which affects the reception of the work meaning by readers/spectators in a foreign cultural environment. Aim. The aim of this work is to identify the possible interpretation which N. V. Gogol’s play “The Government Inspector” received in the first English adapted translation carried out in America. Material and methods. The material of the study is N. V. Gogol’s comedy “The Government Inspector” and its adapted English translation made by Yale University professor Max Solomon Mandell in the early XX century. Translation is considered within the framework of the philological approach, which is mainly concerned with the study of reader’s reception. The possibility of studying from such a perspective is determined by the “double aesthetic code (literary and theatrical), which determines the ontological intermediality of the dramatic text”. In addition, the work uses a comparative method, contextual analysis, as well as content analysis of N. V. Gogol’s comedy “The Government Inspector”. Results and discussion. The translation undergoes formal and semantic transformations that reflect the cultural and social characteristics of America at the beginning of the XX century: the struggle between the “genteel tradition” and realism in the field of literature, the emerging critical attitude to the bourgeois way of life, and the partially preserved reliance on Puritan ideology. The message of the comedy is partially modified in accordance with United States inhabitants’ worldview, as well as due to the creators’ of the adaptation insufficient level of proficiency in the Russian language. The author’s narrative style is not preserved either. Conclusion. Thus, in the American context, N. V. Gogol’s comedy “The Government Inspector” acts as a mirror that reflects the situation in American society at the beginning of the XX century. For this reason, the translation can be considered as preserving the ambivalent understanding of the play implied by Gogol, which is connected both with the satirical and the spiritual meaning. However, this meaning is modified in accordance with the religious beliefs of United States inhabitants, as well as due to the insufficient level of the Russian language knowledge by the creators of the adaptation and their lack of full awareness of Gogol’s work specificity; this, in turn, affected the fact that some of the hidden meanings inherent in the text were not conveyed to the American reader/spectator. In general, the adapted translation is unable to convey the original author’s intention. However, despite this, it could undoubtedly have a chance for a positive reader and audience response: the transformations made did not deprive the play of the universal meanings implied by Gogol, which are relevant in almost any culture. | 2346 | The study was performed in line with the theory of intertextuality and one of the areas of communicative stylistics of a literary text – the theory of regulativity. The study of the dialogic nature of literary text is of interest in connection with the modern anthropocentric paradigm in linguistics. Intertextuality, reflecting the author’s dialogue not only with readers but also with the poets-forerunners to the modern writer masters of artistic expression, extends the semantics of poetic works and determines their semantic deployment in the consciousness of the perceiver of the text of the addressee. The article presents the typology of regulative strategies of O. E. Mandelstam’s poetic texts including intertexts (intertextual structures), important for the complete decoding of the author’s intention. The work is based on the material of poetic texts from the collection «Stone». The peculiarities of the regulatory strategies that update the intertexts in this collection include: systemic reproduction; prevalence of strategies of explicit type; dominance of strong regulatory strategies; use of intertexts as a means of regulativity; consistent performance of aesthetic information; complex application of various intertexts by the poet (plots-intertexts, regulative models of the intertextual type); intertextual links with the main stages of Western European culture and the culture of the silver age. | 2347 | The article focuses on the actual problem of programming training for students. A prerequisite for successful learning is the formation of algorithmic thinking. One of the necessary conditions for its formation is the independent solution of tasks of varying degrees of complexity, so during programming training it is important to pay special attention to the organization of independent study. Essential assistance in the organization of self-guided work within the programming training can be provided by the use of special software tools that allow to check the correctness of the developed program automatically. We propose an approach based on the use of the specialized system ‘Ejudge’, which allows to check the correctness of the training program. This system is networked, deployed on the server, work with the system, which is implemented via web interfaces, can be conducted both by the administrator and by users, in the role of which students and teachers act. This technology provides additional opportunities in the organization of training. On the one hand, the trainee can work with the system from any place in which access to the Internet is provided. At the same time, all actions of the trainee are recorded on the server, and are accessible to the teacher. The skills of working with such a system are also necessary for participation in academic competition on programming. | 2348 | Introduction. The study of the lyrical plot of the work “For the Jubilee” [Yubileynoye] carried out for the first time helps to understand the work as a poem, finds in its basis the dynamics of overcoming of the hardest sincere condition of the hero in the course of an imaginary night dialogue with Pushkin in front of his monument on Tverskoy boulevard. The purposes of the study are defined by the necessity of finding the internal co-ordinates of self-identification of the hero – the main lines of the lyrical plot, motives defining them, changes of impulses-themes in the monologue, as well as the components and devices of the comical. The methodology of the study is defined by a complex of historical-genetic, historical-functional, and comparativehistorical methods, descriptive poetics, and poetics of non-classical art. Results and discussion. The basic results of the work are connected to the overcoming the tradition of Russian study of Mayakovsky’s works to place “For the Jubilee” among numerous poems-“conversations” of the poet, to distinguish it only in the connection with the certain event – the 125th anniversary of Pushkin’s birthday. New prospects of the research are opened taking into account that “For the Jubilee” was created in the direct time affinity to poems “About That” [Pro eto] and “Vladimir Ilyich Lenin”, with the important topic of metaphorical or real death, the problem of immortality and the lyrical hero overcoming boundaries of real space and time in his mental searches. As other bases of research, the transformations of components of the ancient plot of vision, the connotation of Pushkin’s works and signs of his destiny are examined, which are perceived by Mayakovsky-hero as remarks of the great poetpredecessor in the mental dialogue with him. Conclusion. The analysis of poetics of “For the Jubilee” shows the specific author’s use of a set of speech devices of the comical in self-characteristics. The comical accompanies the expression of the serious, the sharply dramatic in the destiny of the poem’s hero and acts as a function to overcome mental anguish, to return to life in its joyful creative modus. | 2350 | Introduction. The article is devoted to a comparative description of the Russian and Chinese wedding ceremonies as a form of manifestation of national traditional culture. The aspect of material consideration is a comparative linguoculturological aspect, involving the identification of common and different features in the fragments of the national picture of the world associated with the traditional mass idea of Russians and Chinese about weddings, wedding ritual actions, wedding etiquette. This approach is relevant for the modern linguistic paradigm, cognitive-discursive and anthropocentric in nature. The purpose of the article is to identify the invariant and variant features in the ideas about the wedding ceremony, which is typical of the traditional Russian and Chinese folk cultures. Methods and material. The material is linguistic markers of the conceptualization of these representations – verbal and super-word (idiomatic) linguistic units denoting the realities of the wedding ritual. Methodological analysis procedures define as a key method of linguoculturological commentary, which makes it possible to identify thesaurus gaps, fill them (which is extremely important for a bearer of an inauthentic culture and a foreign language) and, taking into account the cultural and historical context, interpret the semantics of linguistic representatives of the nuclear meaning “wedding ceremony”. Results and discussion. It was found that in the Russian and Chinese mass traditional ideas about the wedding ceremony, there are general (invariant, universal for any linguistic culture) and variant (actualized within the framework of a specific linguistic culture, having a discursive (historical, cultural, context-event and communicative-situational) conditionality) features... The universal semantic signs in the interpretation of the wedding ceremony among the Russian and Chinese ethnoses are universal human significant axiological meanings: a wedding is the result and proof of the love of a man and a woman, their desire to live together, trusting and helping each other. The connotative component of universal meanings is positive, approving. Variant meanings and their representation in a particular linguoculture are characterized by the specifics of their content. In particular, it has been proven that the etiquette component is significant for the interpretation of the wedding ceremony in the Russian and Chinese ethnic groups. The set of moral and ethical rules that have existed for a long time in society also determines the understanding of ritualized actions, which include the wedding ceremony. So, in relation to Russian culture, the desire to seal the bonds of marriage “in heaven”, having secured the blessing of the church, is noted as a feature of originality. In Chinese traditional culture, the presence of the motive of worship is emphasized as a thread connecting all the stages and structural components of the wedding ceremony. In both linguocultures, the family, clan, and elders are revered. In conclusion, it is noted that the use of linguoculturological analysis is promising for comparing cultural and linguistic facts from the life of ethnic groups that differ in worldview, way of life, moral and ethical principles Keywords: cultural linguistics, cultural linguistics commentary, Russian worldview, Chinese worldview, wedding etiquette, wedding ceremony, idiom | 1924 | |||||
