| 3801 | Introduction. This study is a series of consecutive problems in the practice of educational reading in modern university pedagogical training. Educational reading is defined as a complex, sophisticated multi-order phenomenon. The study highlights the textual dimension of reading (aspects inherent in speech educational practices, without including management plans through the training assignment and pedagogical communication by reading practices). The empirical focus of the research includes the experience of interaction of undergraduate students of the Belarusian Maxim Tank State Pedagogical University (BSPU) with a fragment of the text by the Polish pedagogue Janusz Korczak. Aim and objectives. The research organization solves two interrelated tasks – diagnostic and project ones. The first is designed to identify the established trends in the educational work of students with a text. The second is to specify the circle and type of priority tasks that ensure the propaedeutics of educational transformations. An important goal of the study is to discover the specifics of the work of the retransmitting educational model in the practice of educational reading. The objective of this study is to find effective tools to limit the range of retransmitting reading regulators. Material and methods. The study used the method of discourse analysis of students’ written statements. The empirical basis was formed by the acts of reading and interpretive interaction of BSPU students with the pedagogical works by J. Korczak. The typical reading strategies used by students in teaching, as well as marginal textual tactics, creating the possibility of diversification of reading practices in the process of their studies are highlighted and described. As a condition for this kind of transformation, a specific (poetic) design of J. Korczak’s pedagogical statement is considered, which enables him to act as a “screen” of objectification of the students’ pedagogical experience. Results and discussion. It was identified that the dominant trends that have shown themselves in the students’ statements are textual (semantic) reconstruction and semiotic correlation. The following are the most frequently used text reconstruction tools by students: thematically oriented reading, qualification of the text as messages about real events, and text authorization. In marginal ways of reading, one can diagnose, on a preliminary basis, the issues of initiating, in the process of reading J. Korczak’s text, the primary signs of students’ linguistic (discursive) consciousness. It has been shown that in “relations with oneself” working with a text by J. Korczak brings to life three types of discursive effects: self-identification, self-observation, and self-motivation. One of the important results of the research is the discovery of the specifics of the retransmitting educational model, which traditionally acts as an asymmetric shift in the reader’s attention from the form (AS) to the content (WHAT) of the message. The following plans for limiting this model have been identified: theoretical-methodological, epistemological, and methodological. Conclusion. The study shows that pedagogical work in the situation of an educational reading crisis should be withdrawn from the reflexive-theoretical state and placed into an experimental-developmental environment. This means the need for didactic reconstruction of reading practices in professional pedagogical training, one of the options for which can be rhetorical re-reading of pedagogical classics. An example of the implementation of such didactic work in the meaning of the constructive condition for the formation of the professional position of the future teacher is a poetic attitude to the text representing the teaching practice by J. Korczak. It puts in the focus of attention the pedagogical experience of the students themselves and creates the possibility of their objectification and discursivation. The basic condition for such an opportunity is the specifics of the participation of the future teacher’s experience in the formation and changes of pedagogical situations. This article describes the use of phraseological units with the word component “time” on the basis of texts from the literary works of the American writer Irwin Shaw (1913–1984). Aim. To trace the usage of phraseological units with the component “time” in the context of literary texts with the help of semantic and contextual analysis. Material and methods. The research material includes several novels of the author of the fifties and eighties of the twentieth century: “Acceptable Losses” (1982), “Bread Upon Waters” (1981), “Beggarman, Thief” (1977), “Voices of a Summer Day” (1965), “Lucy Crown” (1956), “The Troubled Air” (1951). The method of phraseological semantic analysis was used as well as the method of phraseological identification. Results and discussion. The article considers phraseological contexts in detail concerning their semantics. Set expressions are distinguished by the following meaning: repeatability, duration, time interval, time point, time relations, time scale and subjectively estimated time. Within each group there is an additional separation by differential seme and examples of phraseological units with the discussed meaning. Repeatability (constantly, often, sometimes): all the time, for the hundredth time, from time to time. Duration (long): half the time, take one’s time. Time period (waiting or a waste of time): a waste of time, stall for time, bide one’s time. Time point (favorable time): in one’s own time. Temporary relations (simultaneity, sequence, at the time arranged): one thing at a time, at the same time, it’s about time. Timeline (present, past, future): for the time being, at the time, for old times’ sake, in good time. Subjectively estimated (pleasant or unpleasant): have a good time, have a hard time and give smb a rough time. Conclusion. Phraseological contexts are found in normal and occasional forms. The usage of phraseological units in speech exposes additional shades of meaning. The actual material and conclusions of this work can be applied in teaching special aspects of phraseological stylistics and the use of modern English set expressions in speech. | 3825 | Introduction. The purpose of the article is to reflect on the specifics of organizing translation training in line with the collaborative activity pedagogy of G. N. Prozumentova. Three models of collaborative activity between the teacher and students (authoritative, leadership, partner) and three types of joint actions between the teacher and students have been analyzed: closed, semi-open and open. For each model there are special types of educational tasks (reproductive, constructive, creative). At the same time, all translation exercises are characterized in the logic of a certain model of collaborative activity between a teacher and students, taking into account the different positions of its participants. Material and methods. As a methodological base of the research we have chosen a learner-centered approach as well as the concept of collaborative activity pedagogy between the teacher and students. We have analyzed the traditional methods of teaching translation and educational practices for training translators in a classical university, including teaching experience of the author. Results and discussion. It has been established that the majority of translation exercises are mostly reproductive and tend to an authoritative model of collaborative activity; therefore, it is important to use a variety of exercises, mainly dialogue exercises, representing a leadership and partnership model of collaborative activity pedagogy. It has been proven that an open collaborative action (involving the creation of new meanings, the interchange and mutual enrichment, non-didactic interaction of participants) is optimal in translation teaching. Students form socio-cultural knowledge, communication skills, ability to participate in collaborative activities, translation competencies. Conclusion. For the first time it has been shown that translation training requires not only modern methodological support, but also a pedagogical basis. The idea of co-organizing different types of interaction between a teacher and students in translation training with an emphasis on organizing open collaborative action is seen by the author as the best option for organizing learner-centered educational practice at the university. | 3826 | Introduction. The right and rational choice of the future profession is the determining factor in the life of any person. Most applicants at the time of admission to a university often have no idea of the type of activity, cannot analyze all the positive and negative aspects of the work, which therefore prevents them from choosing a suitable specialty due to lack of interests and propensity for this type of occupation. The solution to the problem here can be career guidance work. Aim and objectives. The purpose of the article is to justify the expediency of conducting vocational guidance work by universities to assist applicants in choosing future professional activities on the example of Saint Petersburg University of State Fire Service of Emercom of Russia. Result and discussion. A number of experiments were carried out to assess the importance of vocational guidance at the Saint Petersburg University of State Fire Service of Emercom of Russia. The subject of the study was a contingent of bachelors, masters and the teaching staff of the faculty. The purpose of the experiments is to determine the appearance of a highly qualified graduate by means of a questionnaire. The statistics obtained were calculated using a special computer program. The article analyses vocational guidance work in the university: its relevance, importance, necessity for students. The analysis of studies carried out in three groups: bachelor, master and faculty to determine the appearance of the future specialist is given. An approach to its implementation in the final grades of schools, during the «Open Day» in classrooms, in the training center is shown. Vocational guidance work will allow to attract to Saint Petersburg University of State Fire Service of Emercom of Russia much more applicants in the specialty «Fire safety» and the direction of preparation «Technospheric safety», thus to raise the rating of the university, and applicants to make the right choice in determining the future profession. Conclusion. Authors consider that career guidance has to be one of the main tools allowing entrants to understand, comprehend, estimate the desires, opportunities, to compare them with requirements imposed to this specialty in higher education institution. | 3827 | Introduction. Currently, educational institutions have experience in organizing children’s design and research activities. The interest of schools convincingly shows the demand for these activities. Long-term observations and experience of cooperation with educational institutions of the city of Tomsk and the region made it possible to identify urgent problems in this direction. Purpose of the research: analysis of problems in the design and research activities of children and the search for approaches to their solution. Material and methods. The study used reports from teachers from 23 schools (Tomsk and the Tomsk region). They were presented at the regional scientific-practical conference «Organization of research and project activities of students in educational institutions» (Tomsk, December 17, 2020, Tomsk State Pedagogical University). We conducted a survey (63 teachers). Results and discussion. Based on the analysis, we identified problems: teachers do not distinguish between the concepts of «project activity» and «research activity»; there are no uniform criteria for project activities and research activities of students; there are no successive ties in the organization of project and research activities at different levels of education. Conclusion. The solution to these problems can be: 1. Creation of a project group for proactive teachers. They can develop uniform criteria for the design and research activities of children for the city and region. 2. It is necessary to update the content of training students at Tomsk State Pedagogical University. There should be a course for teaching students to work with projects and research on children. The article is an attempt at taking a comparative look at the treatment of English tones in a sample of ten teaching resources through the time of sixteen years. The selection of English tones for the analyses is for their notoriety in the context of learning by Russians. After analyzing the teaching resources we found the balanced treatment of segments and suprasegments which is definitely a great advantage of time. Also a positive moment is an equal treatment of pronunciation together with grammar and lexis. However till present days we can state the over-use of drill-like pronunciation activities, where the repetitive and mechanical practice is still the weakness of the analyzed pronunciation materials. Traditional drill-based activities are so far fruitful but the modern way of education demands inclusion of communicative pronunciation-oriented activities in the learning practice. The occasional use of consciousness-raising and self-monitoring activities is still a typical feature of phonetic classes all over Russian universities. It is a strong call for incorporation of confidence building and reflective activities in the pronunciation training. The results of the study of professional difficulties of teachers in the use of information and communication technologies and participation in network professional communities are presented. The characteristic of the formed professional competences and their connection with the professional standard of the teacher is given. The examples of tasks aimed at updating the network interaction of teachers with a focus on relevant professional skills are given: the need for interaction, communication with others; the need for self-realization, self-presentation. The learning management system (MOODLE), the organization of group work for the development and consolidation of skills in the use of information and communication technologies and project activities are described as tools for the training of teachers in the application of information and communication technologies. To assess the results, the methods of researching the professional competencies and ICT competencies of teachers was used to determine the level of the formation of the necessary qualities, which makes it possible to apply the opportunities of network communities for professional growth. The question of the development of students’ creative abilities through the new phenomenon of facilitation has aroused increased interest on the part of the scientific and practical communities. Facilitation imposes certain requirements on the learning process. Purpose – the requirements provision theoretical analysis of the pedagogical facilitation technology to the teaching mathematics process for the students’ creative abilities development. Material and methods. The research draws on the work of domestic and foreign researchers in the field of general psychology, pedagogical facilitation and the development of creative abilities. The main research methods are study and analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the problem, questioning of students. Results and discussion. Pedagogical facilitation imposes such requirements on the learning process as ensuring the importance of learning, psychological security and psychological freedom, as well as the personality of the teacher and his ability to build relationships with students. A meaningful learning involves changing the personality, changing the behavior of the student due to his or her inner sensory-cognitive experience. To fulfill this requirement in teaching mathematics, you can use various facilitation tools in integration with entertaining tasks, non-traditional forms of organizing classes, and demonstrating the teacher’s respect for students. In the process of facilitation, psychological security is achieved by creating an environment that ensures the presence of trust on the part of the student, as well as the absence of fear, anxiety and other negative feelings arising from external evaluation. It is important to organize work with low-performing students, use modern pedagogical technologies to create a situation of success, and increase the level of comfort in the classroom. Psychological freedom presupposes the formation of students’ creativity, their self-expression, in the formation of which it is important to provide an opportunity to show activity, independence, responsibility. Conclusion. The results of the study make it possible to speak about the features of the organization of the educational process with ensuring the importance of learning, psychological safety and psychological freedom of students on the part of the teacher, as well as about the qualities, competence, personality of the teacher-facilitator, which increases the effectiveness of the development of creative abilities through special trusting relationships, recognition and acceptance of the students’ values, optimization of the process of joint work in the mathematics training.
