The article presents the comparative analysis of two human creature’s ideals. These ideals are pagan one (hero) and Christian one (martyr). An attitude toward the supernatural eternity is identified as a main feature of both these ideals. Pagan confession negates supernatural essence and Christian one realizes this essence as an absolute foundation of itself. By virtue of this feature hero is a quantitative rising of humanity, multiplication and completeness of human strengths without qualitative originality. Hero is an object for separated aesthetic contemplation that is why this ideal negates an intercourse. Martyr is described by his belonging to supernatural Person. Eternity transforms transitory and transitory begins to express its belonging to eternity. Thereby martyr is a justified individuality that is a qualitative originality and a supernatural absolute intercourse. Martyr saves himself and others by means of his martyrdom.

Khadynskaya A.A. PETERSBURG OF IVAN ELAGIN // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 3 (209). P. 45-52

Introduction. The article considers the image of St. Petersburg in the lyrics of Ivan Elagin, one of the prominent representatives of the second wave of emigration. The objectives of the study are: to trace the development of the image in its evolution, to fix the “common places” of St. Petersburg poetics, at the same time to note the author’s personal contribution to the development of the theme in conditions of emigration. Material and methods. The research methodology involves the interpretation of poetic texts based on theoretical and literary concepts (acmeism, literary tradition, poetry of the diaspora and the metropolis, etc.). Results and discussion. The image of St. Petersburg in the literature of the Russian abroad has repeatedly become the subject of scientific research, but the lyrics of Ivan Elagin have not yet attracted the close attention of literary scholars in interpreting the theme of St. Petersburg from acmeistic positions. We considered a number of his poems as a vivid example of following the precepts of acmeism in conditions of emigration, although the avant-garde element is no less important in the lyrics of Elagin. But in the image of the city on the Neva, the poet deliberately focuses on the poetics of acmeism, as evidenced by numerous allusions and thematic exchanges with senior acmeists – N. Gumilev, A. Akhmatova, O. Mandelstam. Conclusion. The lyrical embodiment of the image of St. Petersburg by Ivan Elagin is dictated by his acmeistic orientation and the desire to write his name in a line of his own poetic acmeist teachers. St. Petersburg of Ivan Elagin actualizes the general settings for the “St. Petersburg text”, but, in addition, demonstrates the emigrant specificity in interpreting the image of Northern Palmyra. The dominant feature of the image is its mortality, striving for “beyond”, the reflection in it of existential longing and nostalgia – the eternal “companions” of the exiled poet.

Keywords: Ivan Elagin, poetry of Russian emigration of the second wave, “St. Petersburg text”, allusion, acmeistic traditions, the theme of death

Sviridova E.E. PASTICHE AS ONE OF THE LANGUAGE PLAY FEATURES IN STEFANO BENNI’S NOVELS AND COLLECTED STORIES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 6 (171). P. 39-45

The paper deals with the specific features of using “pastiche” technique in Stefano Benni’s works such as “Achille pie’ veloce” and “Baol” novels and collected stories “Il bar sotto il mare”, “Bar-sport”. Stefano Benni is one of the most famous Italian contemporary writers, mostly known for his language play: due to a great amount of neologisms it has been called “bennilingua” (the language of Benni). Pastiche is an essential part of language play and linguistic experiment, which illustrates stylistic possibilities and the potential of the language and enlarges its limits. The patchiness of Stefano Benni’s language makes it possible to view his works as a part of postmodernism.

Vladimirova S.B. DISCOURSE STATUS OF TEXTS OF FORENSIC MEDICAL EXAMINATION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 7 (204). P. 7-16

Introduction. The article deals with a question of the discursive status of forensic medical examination texts, the existence of a separate sub-discourse of the forensic medical examination, which is at the intersection of medical and legal discourses, and its place in the typology of institutional discourses. The need to distinguish the discourse of forensic medical examination as a separate subtype of discourse, the description of its model and the study of it as a multidiscourse phenomenon is due to the peculiarities of the interaction of the two institutional discourses with a high level of formalization and ritualization. The aim of the article is to determine the status of the forensic medical examination (SME) as an area of social, professional and textual activity, its place in the typology of institutional discourses. Material and methods. The model of describing the institutional discourse of V. I. Karasik was chosen as the main methodological dominant. This is due to the fact that the studied area belongs to the sphere of institutional interaction, and the fact that this model allows one to identify own discursive parameters at the stage of initial analysis. This theory of discourse analysis makes it possible to define categories such as “participants of communication”, “conditions of communication”, “organization” and “methods of communication”. The material for the study was the full texts of 10 opinions of forensic doctors with a total volume of more than 100 pages, taken at a professional forum of forensic doctors of Russia in the section “Consultation Center”. Results and discussion. Communicators in the field of forensic medicine have a different status than participants in medical or legal discourse. The main type of communication is the type “doctor-forensic scientist – the examined”. Communication places are medical and legal organizations, as well as scientific organizations and events. The goals of the forensic doctor as a participant in the communication “forensic doctor – the examined” go back to legal discourse, while the strategy used is medical. The nuclear genre of discourse is the opinion of the medical examiner, which applies to both legal and medical discourse, and also contains a large number of discursive formulas, stable and specific. Conclusion. The main parameters of communications in the field of forensic examination correspond to the models proposed by V.I. Karasik, however, is not reduced to either legal or medical discourse. Based on the results of this study, a forensic medical examination may qualify for the status of a specific interdiscourse area.

Trofimova N.A., Shchitova O.G. FRAME MODELING OF THE TERM SEMANTICS OF THE SUBJECT AREA “CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES” IN RUSSIAN // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 4 (222). P. 62-72

Introduction. Modern study of terminologies and term systems are carried out in the aspect of cognitive terminology. Research devoted to the study of the term semantics in the context of cognitive terminology is gaining popularity. The aim of the work is to create frame models of the term semantics of the subject area “Construction Technologies”, to identify the main cognitive categories and subcategories represented by these models and characteristic of construction terminology, as well as the means of their expression. Material and methods. The material for the study is the terms of the sphere of construction technologies, selected from the terminological dictionaries on construction, regulatory documents, educational and scientific literature, as well as catalogues of construction products and professional websites for construction engineers. The research methodology is based on the method of linguistic modeling, frame analysis was used to study the term semantics. The techniques of definitional and component analysis are also used. Results and discussion. The frame modeling of the term semantics of the professional field “Construction technologies” was performed on the basis of the word-formation structure of the derived term. As a result of the analysis of frame models, correlated with the word-forming types, the following cognitive categories in the terminology of the sphere of construction technologies are defined: “process”, “attribute”, “ability / characteristic”, “action”, “object”. The article provides a detailed analysis of the semantics of Russian terms that actualize the cognitive categories “process” and “feature”. Frame models of term semantics are proposed; the frame consists of slots, which are components of the meaning of the term and are represented by various morphemes. The categorical slot is of particular importance as it correlates with the part-of-speech belonging of the term. The following subcategories specify the semantics of the identified cognitive categories: “technology of manufacturing / application of building materials”, “stage of the technological process”, “special construction works / results of these works”, “construction defect”, etc. These subcategories are defined by the specifics of the terminology of the field of construction technologies. Conclusion. As a result of frame modeling the semantics of the terms of the sphere “Construction technologies” and the analysis of the cognitive categories “process” and “attribute”, within each of them, subcategories specific to construction terminology were identified. It was revealed that the most productive way of word formation in the analyzed terminology is suffixation and prefixation. The proposed frame models of terms reflect fragments of scientific knowledge verbalized by special nominations, and frame analysis is an effective method for studying the ways of categorizing scientific information.

Petrova N.G. COMMUNICATIVE UNIVERSALS IN POETIC DISCOURSES OF K. BALMONT AND I. SEVERYANIN: CROSS POINTS AND DIFFERENCES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 9 (150). P. 40-46

The peculiarities of communicative universals are examined on the basis of the two most prominent poets’ poetic discourse of the early XX century – symbolist K. D. Balmont and ego-futurist I. Severyanin. The communicative universals include the law of aesthetically orientated notional “excessiveness” and the law of aesthetically provided “economy” of language means. The correlation between these laws and lexical regulative actions is established, the latter being significant for the reader’s cognitive activity organization on the level of the utterance, utterance unit and the whole text. This correlation reflects the close interrelation of system, functional and system-language qualities of the belles-lettres text such as regulative, structural and expressive properties. The article reveals the cross points and differences in verbal and artistic structuring by the well-known wizards of artistic word who have a lot of common not only in their lives but also in the poetic but also in the poetic work.

Lobanova S.V. SELF-PRESENTATION OF THE ARTIST’S PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE PERSONALITY (ON THE MATERIAL OF INTERVIEWS WITH RADA ANCHEVSKAYA) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 7 (184). P. 48-53

The object of research in this article is the means of self-presentation of the artist’s professional language personality. Professional language personality is a complex of linguistic competences which permits the effective operating with professional sub-discourses «in different situations of professional-communicative interaction» (S. V. Myskin). The material of research is interviews of different years with Rada Anchevskaya – a leader of the rock-group «Rada & Ternovnik». Rada Anchevskaya positions herself as a musical «shaman», likens a concert to a ritual, trance and likens a stage to a sacral place. In her opinion music has mystical and timeless origin. Ideally, musicians do not compose but perceive it if they have enough delicacy of feelings. Music animates the word in a song. Particularity of self-presentation of Rada Anchevskaya’s professional language personality is in plenty of factual information (names of musical instruments, albums and songs of the group «Rada & Ternovnik»; denominations of musical equipment, styles and genres; surnames of musicians, specialists in mythology, philosophy, titles of the books on different themes, names of folklore and mythological characters etc.) and in frequent use of tropes and stylistic figures (mainly the metaphors). It shows great erudition of the artist, seriousness and profundity of her works and figurative nature of her language picture of the world. This research is interesting for linguopersonology and communicative stylistics of text.
