Civil education is considered as the direction of the educational activities associated with the formation of the social role of personality, its public face. Creation of the student’s experience of the social group and individual behavior of the civil nature goes through a joint analysis, solution of the group social problems, joint social action in the framework of non-recurrent separate social actions as well as long-term projects. Concept and methods of implementing social actions and projects arise and are discussed in the student community and implemented with the support and supervision of parents, class teacher, and public organizations. Preparatory work for inclusion in social planning is done with students by means of educational and extracurricular activities, educational work with parents – through thematic parent-teacher meetings, collective creative works. The results are stability of citizenship, including cognitive, emotional and behavioral components of the evaluation, the constancy of socially approved behavior patterns with a strong civil position of primary school children, the positive experience of their civil action. | 3811 | The paper deals with the actual, but the least investigated Russian language aspectual meaning – the general fact. This means that full qualification is even more important because it is a guideline of the Russian Aspectual System. The article covers the Russian as a Foreign Language modern training courses, created by foreign and Russian authors, an analysis of the basic principles of data presentation. Their conceptual features are marked. The author aims at the versatile presentation of two general fact use syntagmatic restrictions (non-collocation: a) with adverbs вдруг, внезапно, неожиданно (suddenly, unexpectedly); b) with quantified object) and creating these phenomenae` explanatory model. Despite the traditional opinion of the unexpectedness, dominating in the semantics of these adverbs, author, distinguishing aspectual and non-aspectual action characteristics, considers the feature of unexpectedness aspectually irrelevant and so puts forward the different basis for figuring out the first restriction – Salience / importance of the action for the speaker, which proves the verbal aspect interpretative function. The second restriction is being analysed regarding the wider sphere of phenomenae – the quantifying and qualifying characteristics of the action /state itself. So Partitive appears to be homogeneous for quantification. But the latter are impossible in terms of the general fact use. Thus it results in putting the general fact essence into the limelight, making it possible to shape it for the foreign learners: the speaker is not focused on the action and state, the latter is not emphasized. Hence the general fact meaning could be included in the set of means, revealing the universal language category of definiteness/indefiniteness (of the action/state distribution in time).The gained results open some certain research perspectives: listing the general fact use typical situations given the different verbal grammar forms (future forms and infinitive) are involved, aspectual meanings` orientation in regard to dictum and modus, verifying the aspectual meanings` position in the Russian sentence semantic structure. | 3812 | Introduction. Currently, educational institutions have experience in organizing children’s design and research activities. The interest of schools convincingly shows the demand for these activities. Long-term observations and experience of cooperation with educational institutions of the city of Tomsk and the region made it possible to identify urgent problems in this direction. Purpose of the research: analysis of problems in the design and research activities of children and the search for approaches to their solution. Material and methods. The study used reports from teachers from 23 schools (Tomsk and the Tomsk region). They were presented at the regional scientific-practical conference «Organization of research and project activities of students in educational institutions» (Tomsk, December 17, 2020, Tomsk State Pedagogical University). We conducted a survey (63 teachers). Results and discussion. Based on the analysis, we identified problems: teachers do not distinguish between the concepts of «project activity» and «research activity»; there are no uniform criteria for project activities and research activities of students; there are no successive ties in the organization of project and research activities at different levels of education. Conclusion. The solution to these problems can be: 1. Creation of a project group for proactive teachers. They can develop uniform criteria for the design and research activities of children for the city and region. 2. It is necessary to update the content of training students at Tomsk State Pedagogical University. There should be a course for teaching students to work with projects and research on children. | 3824 | Discusses the ways of term formation in Old English and Old Russian based on the data of Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters which deal with legal transactions of landed property. As follows from the analysis the most productive way of term formation in Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters was semantic derivation, the change of the meaning of words already existing in the language. Consequently common lexis constituted the basis of emerging terminology in Anglo-Saxon and Old Russian charters. The term formation took place by means of terminologisation of common lexis. | 3825 | The article presents the overview of resources in practical phonetics published in Russia over the period of sixteen years. In this study far from the critical review we conclude the main problems typical for Russian pronunciation training. We found the traditional ways of teaching phonetics and defined their advantages and drawbacks. The article is an attempt at taking a comparative look at the treatment of English tones in a sample of ten teaching resources through the time of sixteen years. The selection of English tones for the analyses is for their notoriety in the context of learning by Russians. After analyzing the teaching resources we found the balanced treatment of segments and suprasegments which is definitely a great advantage of time. Also a positive moment is an equal treatment of pronunciation together with grammar and lexis. However till present days we can state the over-use of drill-like pronunciation activities, where the repetitive and mechanical practice is still the weakness of the analyzed pronunciation materials. Traditional drill-based activities are so far fruitful but the modern way of education demands inclusion of communicative pronunciation-oriented activities in the learning practice. The occasional use of consciousness-raising and self-monitoring activities is still a typical feature of phonetic classes all over Russian universities. It is a strong call for incorporation of confidence building and reflective activities in the pronunciation training. The choice of approach to the analysis of literary translation in this article is explained by the fact that interpretation in translation involves co-creation of the translator and the author of the original work, so that a new understanding of it can arise. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to identify the differences between the author’s interpretation of the comedy “The Government Inspector” and its translation interpretation by K. Garnett. It will allow us to see the semantic transformations of the work as it penetrates into the English-speaking culture. Material and methods. The material of the research is the comedy “The Government Inspector” by N. V. Gogol and its translation into English, made by the British translator K. Garnett in 1926. The methodology of this research is based on a comparative method, as well as a method for studying translation through the concept of “translation interpretation”. Results and discussion. The translator does not put the name “Silent scene” in a separate title and writes it in small italics merged with the previous text. This reduces its significance for English readers. In addition, K. Garnett in the translation of the play removes the division into scenes, which supports the classical symmetry and correctness of architectonics, while demonstrating the subordination of being to the divine plan. This suggests that in the understanding of the translator there were no initially harmonious laws of human existence. As for anthroponomy, all the names and surnames of the characters are conveyed by K. Garnett using transliteration. This means that for the English-speaking reader, their “speaking” meaning is lost. At the same time, this method of translation may also have a deeper meaning. In the original work, the characters are united by their involvement in vice, the symbolic embodiment of which they are. They are also connected by a common expectation of punishment for their actions and, undoubtedly, by belonging to the same people, since this issue was important for Gogol. It embodies the influence of the romanticism traditions on him. In comedy, the unity of the people demonstrates, in particular, the common national character of the dramatic personae. The presence and nature of the vice in each individual case is expressed, among other things, by the name of the character. But since this semantics is lost due to transliteration in translation, the connecting thread becomes less obvious to English-speaking reader. The loss of the original semantics of belonging of heroes to a common nation is facilitated by the translation of phraseological phrases, proverbs and sayings found in the original text. In the translation by K. Garnett, the idiomatic speech of the characters, indicating their folk character, was largely reduced. A similar feature is the frequent replacement of colloquial expressions of heroes with lexemes of the literary language. Therefore, the characters’ speech becomes more neutral and loses its expressiveness. Due to the prevailing number of such transformations, the characters of the dramatic personae in the translation of the comedy can hardly be called folk. Regarding the translation of Russian realities, it should be noted that K. Garnett replaced many of them with English ones. And although we cannot say that this applies to all realities, but they are the absolute majority, which cannot but affect readers reception. Among other things, K. Garnett adds a Gendarme to the list of actors, which does not correspond to Gogol’s conception. The Gendarme in the comedy acts as a “herald of the Last judgment” and his figure shows “transpersonal power”, which is why he is not on the stage of the theater. However, the appearance of the Gendarme in the list of actors in the translation text completely deprives him of the opportunity to embody the hand of God. Together with the “Silent scene” leveling this deprives comedy its significance and true meaning, which Gogol sought to express. Conclusion. The emergence of such a version of the comedy translation can be attributed to the fact that K. Garnett worked at the beginning of the modernist era, “the root characteristic of the literature of which is, in particular, the belief in the isolation, alienation and ultimate absurdity of each individual existence and the entire macrocosm of reality”. This largely contributes to the formalistic approach to poetics, which in this case is chosen by the translator. This is expressed in the fact that K. Garnett reproduces the text without taking into account the influence of the author’s biography and views. It cannot also be said that the cultural and historical context of the original and Gogol’s reception of literary traditions were sufficiently taken into account. Transformations in translation have led to the fact that characters are perceived as part of a faceless crowd, each member of which is not connected by anything, and not as people drawing inspiration from their unity. The characters are still together waiting for the Government Inspector, but the meaning of his appearance loses its sacred meaning of God’s punishment. In this interpretation, the existence of comedy characters appears absurd and even tragic to some extent, since there is no positive or negative dynamics. Thus, although the original author’s meaning was not recreated by K. Garnett in the translation of “The Government Inspector” into English, it can be stated that a new one that conveys a sense of hopelessness at the turn of the XIX−XX centuries has emerged. Lena Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples” fits into the traditional, since antiquity, interpretation of the androgynous image associated with the idea of “reintegration of opposites” (M. Eliade), the problem of finding the Other to gain the anthropological and ontological completeness and integrity of the individual. The aim is to analyze the semantics of the androgynous motif in L. Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples”. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the work of M. Eliade “Mephistopheles and Androgynes”, the research of I. A. Edoshina, E. S. Turutina, N. A. Kopylova, devoted to the image of androgynes in the literature of the Silver Age and philosophy. Results and discussion. In “Stone Maples”, androgynous motifs are manifested in the conflicts between the central characters of Sasha Sonley and Llewellyn Elderberry, the half-sisters of Sasha and Edna. Androgynous motifs are presented in several versions: homosexual attraction, “intersex disguises”, sacrifice, as well as through specific metaphors of connecting two people into a harmonious whole “author-reader”, “hotel hostess-guest”. Finding love, which provides the anthropological and ontological completeness of being, is fraught with difficulties (motives for passing tests, solving riddles, choosing a betrothed). L. Eltang fundamentally distances hirself from the bodily semantics of the androgynous motif, actualizing its symbolic meaning: unity with the second half is interpreted as a meeting of the author with his reader, who is ready to become a co-author. Conclusion. Androgynous motifs reveal the themes of love and creativity in the novel. Only the acquisition of the Other gives the fullness and meaning of existence. The work contains the rationale for the introduction of an interdisciplinary course on counterterrorism management, a brief description of the sections of the course and their significance in the training program for undergraduates in electromagnetic compatibility. Results and discussion. The result of the work is a prepared course for undergraduates, related to the study of mathematical methods of anti-terror control, as part of the implementation of master’s programs related to electromagnetic compatibility. Conclusion. The knowledge gained by undergraduates in this course, related to understanding the nature of terrorism and the skills acquired in creating appropriate models, combined with knowledge in the reliability of electrical and radio engineering systems, increase the capabilities of countering terrorism. The formation of additional knowledge, skills and abilities within the framework of the implementation of master’s degree programs allows to improve the quality of training of students and their competitiveness in the market. Spec1fic methane fluxes of forest-steppe eutroph1c m1res are very close to the same fluxes 1n subta1ga. Probability d1stribution of specific methane flux has following parameters: 1st quart1le/med1an/3rd quartile = 0.53/1.99/ 6.03 mgС GH4-m 2-h 1. Methane fluxes from bog lakes are close too, as in subta1ga they are estimated at tens and first hundreds of mgС GH4-m 2-h 1.
