| 5761 | The article presents one of the marginal genres of engineering discourse, the Missing Manual, in the aspect of its metaphorical organization. The results of the analysis have shown that a set of metaphors can be identified in the Missing Manual, namely: the anthropomorphic metaphors that are connected with the anthropocentric paradigm; time and space metaphors that are identified on the basis of semantic features as the humans and everything that surrounds them cannot exist outside of temporal and spatial coordinates; conceptual metaphors that are considered as theoretical constructs that differ in degree of abstraction. The special attention in the article is devoted to the anthropomorphic metaphors which represent various devices as possessing physical and mental abilities, personal attributes, parts of the body, etc. By the example of the Missing Manual it has been demonstrated that the necessity and importance of metaphors in the given text-type depend on two factors: pragmatic goal and functional stylistic status of the Missing Manual. | 5764 | The problem of communication’s harmonization in different spheres is relevant in accordance with the modern communicative-cognitive paradigm of linguistic knowledge. This is especially true of media communication in connection with the media vector of development of up-to-date Russian studies. The promotion of the interview as one of the leading genres is of interest in terms of the interaction of its participants and as an object of perception of the mass addressee who perceives this media discourse. The purpose of the article is, based on the theory of regulativity as one of the directions of the communicative style of the text, to identify some linguistic mechanisms that form a harmonizing dialogue between a journalist and his guests as interview participants. The study is based on the use of the methodology and conceptual and terminological apparatus of the theory of regulativity developed in the communicative style of the text, the use of discursive, linguo-semantic, semantic-stylistic analysis. The material of the study was the author’s program “Very Personal” in the format of an interview with the famous journalist Viktor Loshak on the ORT channel. The effect of harmonious communication in the interview genre is achieved due to the overall positive and trusting emotional tone of the dialogue between the journalist and the guests; installation on the actualization of the objective successes and merits of the invited participants by the host program; the predominance of communication strategies and tactics of support, consent, compliment, self-presentation of the journalist and guests. The format of the author’s program includes a system of individual media genres, united by a common idea and image of the author of the program, which determine the integrity of the general media discourse, its coherence, conceptual completeness, communicative and pragmatic effect. In addition to the key media genre of the interview, the author’s program on ORT V. Loshak “Very personal” includes informative genres: presentation of the program and the guest, as well as etiquette genres: greeting, compliment, gratitude. Among the extralinguistic regulatory means, that form the effect of communication harmonization, the following stand out: the choice of guests – famous public figures; musical screen saver for the program; non-verbal behavior of the journalist and program participants (friendly look, supportive gestures, facial expressions); logical-compositional deployment of a discourse aimed at emphasizing the personal and professional merits of invited media persons who are of interest to a mass addressee. Linguistic regulatory means and structures that have a communicative-pragmatic effect include: quoting a guest, pick-up questions; clarifying questions, including options for answers to choose from; questions aimed at revealing the merits of the guest and his social significance; supporting remarks, the use of ameliorative evaluative vocabulary and vocabulary with the semantics of agreement, support; the appropriate use of figurative and expressive means and an explicit regulatory strategy of an amplifying-convergent type. The use of the theory of regulativity and its terminology allows us to judge some of the mechanisms for the formation of the communicative-pragmatic effect of harmonious communication between a journalist and guests during an interview in the author’s program “Very Personal” by Viktor Loshak on Public Television. The obtained observations are of interest for further development of the problem of the effectiveness of media communication and the study of the mechanisms of speech influence in the dialogue of communicants. | 5777 | The article considers forms of M. A. Bulgakov’s dramatical conventionality on the material of his two plays: “The Purple Island” (1926) and “Crazy Jourdain” (1932). | 5786 | The article explains the use of the net present value for the evaluation of the effectiveness of forest management strategies for specific sites. In Russian practice, this indicator is mainly used for the evaluation of investment projects, but in forestry developed countries such as Finland and Canada for several decades now this index is used to evaluate the effectiveness of management of forest areas and planning for logging and reforestation on them. This is due to the fact that in the forestry sector, as well as in investment projects a great role is played by the factor of time, i. e. flows of revenues and expenses can be considerably spaced apart in time. This means that the use of indicators such as net income, profit, profitability, etc. do not allow to obtain complete information and give distorted results, as the time factor is not taken into account. Using an integrated model of economic evaluation in the context of strategies may also lead to an increase in the volume of selective logging, because their benefits can be assessed more clearly. | 5789 | The ways of verbalizing the concept “loneliness” in the original text of G. G. Marquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. The analysis made it possible to model the concept by constructing its semantic field, highlighting the core and peripheral zones of the concept. It is shown that the artistic concept has its own distinctive features and requires a special method of analysis. The purpose of this study is to identify ways of verbalizing and modeling the concept of loneliness in the novel by G. G. Marquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude” (on the material of the Spanish language). The novelty of the work lies in the fact that it carried out a conceptual analysis of loneliness in the original text, which has not yet been included in the field of linguistic research: a semantic field has been built, the core and peripheral zones of the concept have been identified, cognitive signs have been established for each of the core lexemes, and also cognitive features of objective images. The research material is the novel by G. G. Marquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude” in the Spanish language. The empirical base of the study was formed using a descriptive method, which included the use of a continuous sample. In addition, the study uses the method of conceptual text analysis, which includes methods for describing the core and periphery of the concept, analyzing dictionary definitions and describing the content of the concept. As a result of the analysis of the methods of verbalization of the concept of loneliness, the semantic field of the concept was modeled, its core and periphery were identified. The core zone of the concept includes the keyword-representative of the concept and other lexical units of the derivational nest. Three groups of lexemes nominating loneliness, as well as images of loneliness created with the help of metaphorical means, were assigned to the periphery of the concept. The concept can be modeled by referring to the construction of a semantic field. The analysis showed that the semantic field of the concept of loneliness is a complex system, the units of which are united by common semantic features. The concept “loneliness” is verbalized in the novel by means of lexemes included in the core and periphery of the concept. In addition, the images of loneliness, presented with the help of metaphorical means, are of great importance. | 5797 | The new concept of the humanities emphasizes breaking down barriers between different disciplines, creating a new system of disciplines and a knowledge system, emphasizing the development of students’ thinking abilities through the transfer of knowledge, and re-establishing the link between “teaching” and “learning”. The goal is to analyze the way of reforming the teaching of foreign literature in the context of the “new concept of the humanities”. The material of the study was the documents of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on the construction of a “new concept of the humanities”, the relevant research papers of the CNKI of China, as well as examples of the author’s training in teaching “Foreign Literature”. The study uses the literary method of research and the empirical method of research. In this context, the teaching of foreign literature should break down barriers between courses and integrate between courses. Foreign literature in various universities in China is divided into the history of foreign literature, the reading of foreign literature and the theory of foreign literature, but we must combine these courses in teaching. During the teaching of literary history knowledge, we must make students understand the characteristics of the literary language in original literary texts, we must penetrate the literary theory in the study of works, teach students to analyze specific literary texts through literary theory and criticism method, and realize the combination of theory and practice. In teaching foreign literature, we must not only have a global vision, but also have national and family feelings, in order to spread Chinese culture in the international arena and tell Chinese stories well and establish cultural confidence in cultural differences. Russian literature especially contains a deep patriotic spirit, humanitarian spirit, deep cultural heritage and civic consciousness. Through the teaching of this course, we guide students to create patriotism, build the consciousness of citizens and develop a humanitarian spirit. As a result, we will combine knowledge, ability, and a view of value in order to improve the ideological and moral literacy of students. While teaching, we encourage students to actively participate in teaching activities and discussions. Interactive activities between teachers and students can mobilize students’ enthusiasm, stimulate their creativity, provide them with opportunities to use and demonstrate their own abilities, and help them improve their language skills. At the same time, teaching foreign literature can not only impart knowledge, but also cultivate thinking ability and stimulate students’ imagination ability. The use of auxiliary tools such as multimedia, internet, film, boutique course site, can not only expand the scope of the curriculum of literature courses and make the teaching method diversified, but also keep in touch with information technology, digital culture and the network. This teaching method can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning and form a virtuous learning cycle. Teachers should introduce their research results, research trends, as well as scientific methods in the classroom, constantly enrich and update teaching content, conduct flexible classes, ensure students learn the latest knowledge and cutting edge concepts, at the same time cultivate students’ interests in scientific research, improve the ability of students in research and stimulate the interests of students in research. At present, assessments of foreign literature studies at various universities in China are in writing. This assessment method does not contribute to the development of creative abilities and the improvement of students’ literary assessment and analysis abilities. Therefore, we are trying to use a combination of written tests and oral tests in the assessment of learning to comprehensively improve students’ language skills and cultural literacy. The “new concept of the humanities” is to throw off the unreasonable barriers set by disciplines, not bound by the boundaries of invisible disciplines. The “new concept of the humanities” are the inevitable result of the humanities and social sciences adapting to social development. An integral task of teaching foreign literature is to cultivate outstanding talents who can serve the needs of the country and take responsibility for national revival against the backdrop of the “new concept of the humanities”. N. Tolstoy. Calling the Russian classic “a model of a historical writer”, Pamuk uses artistic techniques inherent in Tolstoy’s prose in his work on a novel about Istanbul life in the mid-1975’s. In the course of a comparative analysis, the interaction of the creative principles of the Turkish writer with the artistic system of the Russian novelist was examined and it was revealed that this connection is of a systemic nature. As the starting point of coding, the authors of the article identified the motive of guilt, which is key for the problematic organization of Pamuk’s work, as Tolstoy’s novel Anna Karenina. Particular attention in the research is paid to the nature of the implementation of the motive of fault in epigraphs to novels, where its plot-forming role is already planned. Next, several aspects of the functioning of the motive of fault in the works in question are revealed: public condemnation, denial of their fault and a desire to shift it to another, self-judgment. Based on the value guidelines shown in the code, Pamuk creates in the “Museum of Innocence” a conflict between the characters’ own fault and the predestination of their actions. In the course of the research, it becomes obvious that the historical conditioning of the fate of the characters in Tolstoy’s novel as understood by Pamuk is transformed into a plot model. As a result, coding as a technique does not just program various levels of the artistic organization of Pamuk’s novel, but determines the logic of the development of the plot and prejudges its ending. The plot-forming motive of guilt in the “Museum of Innocence” under the influence of the Tolstoy code used by the postmodern author develops according to a specific script, going beyond the conditioning of the cultural and historical situation in which the novel takes place.
