Sakharova O.S., Fedorova I.A. BASIC COMMUNICATION TACTICS IN THE PUBLIC SPEECH OF A FEMALE POLITICAN (BY THE EXAMPLE OF HILLARY CLINTON’S CAMPAIGN SPEECH). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 39-43

The article aims to clarify the concept of “political discourse”, its definition, structure and its place among other discourse types. Political discourse in this article is considered as a complex of all speech acts used in the political debates, and it can also be interpreted as a complex of rules of social relations which have their own traditions, and have been tested by many years of experience. The article describes politician’s verbal impact on the public from a gender perspective, and characterizes typical traits of a female politician. Verbal impact can include different methods and tactics used by the orators to influence and persuade the audience. However, these influence tactics differ from individual to individual in their effectiveness, as well as across gender. The article presents different types of the communication tactics (contact-establishing tactics, self-presentation tactics, communication tactics, accusation tactics and «play in figures» tactics) by the example of Hilary Clinton’s campaign speech – the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the Unites States of America in the 2016 election. With the help of these tactics Hilary Clinton has a possibility not only to establish contact with the audience, but also she can influence people’s emotions, feelings, and can induce public to act.

Due to the use of methods of selforganization, self-management (goal-setting, accounting for time spent, planning of the working day and weeks, monitoring, timing, reflection), students develop such skills as designing a long-term plan for their own life in a pedagogical university; Adoption of adequate solutions that facilitate the organization of life; The vision of one’s own life perspective and the identification of obstacles, on the way to its realization; Finding optimal methods for solving identified problems. The criterion for the effectiveness of the pedagogical design of the rational organization of life activity of undergraduate students at a pedagogical university is their ability to master the social and educational environment of the university (mastering the social role of the student, knowledge of norms, social rules governing the activity of the educational organization, development of independence); ability to implement educational and professional activities in the conditions of the university (level of cognitive activity, academic performance); ability to physical development in the process of life activity (health, working capacity, healthy lifestyle). Applying of the author to this topic is due to the fact that the process of teaching foreign language is associated with the formation of the ability to generate and interpret information in a foreign language in the process of professional activity, the need to read special literature and documents, to communicate with foreign colleagues on professional topics. The author pays close attention to the issues of taking into account the peculiarities of the legal text. The author defines the basic methods of removing difficulties when dealing with English-language legal literature, for example, by creating a bank of textual material and brief comments on individual terms and concepts. The text should serve to further develop skills of professionally-oriented reading in the specialty, as well as filling the vocabulary. The Anglo-Saxon system of law is a unique system that is based on completely different principles than the common law system. Acquaintance with its specifics within the framework of legal courses in the native language is practically absent and does not provide some acceptable extralinguistic basis for effective reading of English-language legal literature. Thus, in the process of reading, cadets should have a clear understanding of what exactly is being discussed, what place the problems discussed are in the system of law, law enforcement activities of foreign countries, etc., that is, it is oriented generally in the problems addressed in specific text that he reads.

The methods of the study are the statistical method and the method of the linguacultural analysis. Results and discussion. Toponymic phraseological units reflect and verbalize the various segments of the objective reality including the material and spiritual world of a personality. Toponymic phraseological units reveal a person’s attitude to the reality surrounding him/her, a person’s attitude to the people near him/her and the attitude to self. They also analyze the external and internal aspects of the personality, focusing the view on the appearance of a man or woman, on his/her voice, on gait, on mental state of mind, on the moral qualities and the character of a personality. The image of a personality creating by phraseological units can be positive or negative one. Conclusion. Any toponym (especially if it belongs to the “native” culture) has a national identity. It reflects (except the historical, territorial and geographical peculiarities of the nation), the national mentality, character, and specific features of the people’s life. The English phraseological units with a toponym as a component reflect the national identity as well. These idioms are divided into two large groups: 1) those which show the material comforts of the everyday life and 2) those which tell us about the inward habits of the people. Toponymic phraseological units of the second group include six subgroups. Subgroups including the idioms reflecting the people’s attitude to the social reality and to the other people prevail.

The technology is based on finding and visualizing projec¬tions of multidimensional regions. Due to combining the power of computer and great intellectual abilities of hu¬man, it allows to essentially improve efficiency in solving various complicated computational problems. The paper focuses on solving two classes of problems with "visual" technology: finding multiple solutions of nonlinear systems of equations and multicriterion problems.

Razheva, O. A. Guryanova, A. M. Khayrullina, E. A. Hudinshai other) don’t cover all functional features of neologisms in the modern American English. It is supposed that exactly American mass media sphere is one of the main producing zones of neologisms. But nowadays there isn`t complex research of the American mass media sphere in terms of existing and functioning neologisms there. This fact causes necessity to investigate the main reasons for creation of neologisms in the American mass media sphere and to define their functional status there. Theoretical results of this research contribute to systematization of the existing knowledge of the nature of neologisms. Practical significance of the research is that it can be used as a base for lexicographic fascination of the neologisms which have appeared in XXI century. It is shown that mass media is one of the main spheres where neologism appear and function. Most of them are a result of appearance of new forms of Internet resources, equipment and solutions. There are in the research examples of neologism with the explanation of their meaning and peculiarities of realization in the American mass media sphere. It is stressed that most of neologisms are connotative words, which are used to achieve some effect (pragmatical, ironical, actional, etc.).

Introduction. In the process of bilingual education, pupils must not only master the content of the subject, but also overcome language difficulties. Taking into account the relationship between speech and mathematical activity, this article reveals the essence and structure of bilingual mathematical competence, the formation of which allows bilingual pupils to successfully learn the program of main school in the conditions of national Russian bilingualism. Some ways of forming bilingual mathematical competence focused on the development of the culture of mathematical speech, as well as teaching students to apply multicultural knowledge are also proposed. The aim of the article is to describe the methodology for the formation of bilingual mathematical competence in primary school pupils in the conditions of national Russian bilingualism. Material and methods. In this study, we used theoretical methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization of the content of domestic and foreign scientific, pedagogical and methodological literature on the problem of research. Results and discussion. In the course of the work, we analyzed the research that indicates a close relationship between the language of instruction and the subject mathematical content. It was found that in the conditions of bilingual education, it is necessary to take into account students’ native language. In addition, it was found that the level of native and the Russian languages proficiency affects the mathematical achievements of bilingual pupils. This analysis led to the conclusion that the result of bilingual education should be a synthesis of certain competencies that provide a high level of language proficiency and deep development of the subject content. Conclusion. As a result of the research, the concept of bilingual mathematical competence is clarified, which synthesizes the subject, special language (in native and the Russian languages) and intercultural components. The system of mathematical tasks was presented, which is aimed at the development of mathematical speech of pupils, which ensures the formation of subject and special language components, and also clarified the concepts that should be included in the plot of text-based mathematical tasks for the formation of an intercultural component of bilingual mathematical competence. The results of this research will later serve as the basis for conducting an experimental study to test the effectiveness of the proposed training tools, which are designed to form a bilingual mathematical competence.

Konchakova N.V., Medvedev I.I. PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING DISCIPLINE “GEODESY” TO FOREIGN STUDENTS IN RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 5 (182). P. 168-173

The article is devoted to development of a technique of training of foreign students in the Russian technical higher educational institution. The linguistic barrier is a basic reason which interferes with effective development of technical disciplines. The feature of technical disciplines is a large number of special terms and processes and the phenomena which can be described only by difficult technical formulations. The idea of this article is to search for methods to reduce the impact of the language barrier in the teaching of foreign students to Russian as a foreign language. The initial stage of training should be aimed at preparing students for training in the Russian-speaking environment. Preuniversity preparation became such a stage. Here students reach only elementary level. They are able to establish and maintain social contacts in standard situations of the daily life; they have a minimum of linguistic means, the vocabulary of such students can reach not less than a thousand of lexical units. After that the student passes to studying of special disciplines. The first step is training of the student for perception of special terminology. For this purpose foreign students were offered to study the bilingual glossary. The bilingual glossary included an interpretation of concepts in the Russian and the English languages. The reason of the choice of English is that it is an international language, in many countries it is the second official, most of electronic translators are adjusted to translate into English. The second step is the use of methods of visualization for the best perception of information. Illustrations (drawings, maps, schemes) and demonstrations (demonstration and studying of the device of special geodetic devices) were chosen as objects of visualization. The combination of these two acceptances in training of foreign students allowed to increase the level of knowledge of technical discipline considerably.
