| 2251 | The article deals with the modelling of pilot falling from a height of 6 000 meters in water. It is shown that the use of computer algebra system (CAS) Maxima qualitatively improves the consideration of the topic “Freefall considering environmental resistance”, traditionally studied in the discipline “Computer simulation”. Maxima has found the general solution of the nonlinear differential equation and found a partial solution with zero initial conditions – the Cauchy problem. CAS Maxima has found the analytical expression for the rate of fall and height fallen down as the functions of time. CAS Maxima has obtained the asymptotic behavior of the rate of fall in the time and has calculated the rate limit of fall. CAS Maxima calculated numerically intermediate values of fall speed and height fallen down for the 15 time values in the range of 1–15 in increments of 1. These values are compared with analogical values calculated by numerical method in book, with the standard deviation for rate is equal 2 %. | 2252 | The paper describes a theoretical study on the introduction of electronic educational resources in the learning process. The article deals with long-term tendencies in the development of world education. A key focus of development prospects is the implementation of new technologies emerging in global educational community. Productive use of interactive technologies is defined by the research model “Cone of learning” on the effectiveness of obtaining knowledge methods by Edgar Dale. The studied aspects of teaching get reflected in the real activity on the basis of the electron-didactic support, in particular, students being in the role of a teacher through the creation of thematic tasks. By way of illustration an open educational resource is demonstrated in order to define the significance of the content created for peer-correction. The teacher acts as the administrator of online groups and provides information support for working with the site. As a result, a step by step guide to the open educational resource application in the educational process is developed. Detailed steps of teachers and students activities on the creation of electron content within the selected Internet resource are given. The results of the study imply the need to expand blended learning knowledge paradigm in the pedagogical practice of higher educational institutions. | 2254 | The article deals with the activities of the Imperial Mineralogical Society (IMO) since its inception in 1817 until the separation of the state structure – the Geological Committee in 1882; рeriodization of the stages of the company’s activity is given, experience of cooperation with the state is shown. The main sources of research are the materials of the St. Petersburg branch of the RAS archive, where the IMO foundation was postponed. The prerequisites for the interaction of the scientific society (IMO) and the state structure (Geological Committee) in the field of geological research are considered in the article. Mechanisms of interaction of the Imperial Mineralogical Society and the Geological Committee in the field of mineralogy and geology in the last quarter of the 19th century were prepared by the already established model of IMO’s relationship with the state; in the article channels, forms and results of this interaction are analyzed. Financial support by the state of the Imperial Mineralogical Society was based on the personal connections of its leaders, the article points out specific merits in this direction. The article presents quantitative results of various areas of joint research (members of the Imperial Mineralogical Society and the Geological Committee). The results of this study make it possible to identify the directions of the IMO and the Geological Committee, understand the prerequisites and mechanisms for productive cooperation, and make proposals for improving the interaction of the state and the scientific community. | 2262 | Computer algebra systems are now ubiquitous in all areas of science and engineering. Mathcad is one of the most successeful and widely used mathematical package. The capabilities of the mathematical package Mathcad are used to compute approximate solutions of different kinds of equations from statistical physics and thermodynamics. Solved numerically the equations in which the unknown enters under the integral sign. The presented examples are of independent interest to the students and teachers that use numerical methods. The equation of heat balance is difficult to solve when the specific heat depends on temperature and this dependence is given in the form of a table. Spline interpolation is applied to solve the heat balance equation in such a case. Debay’s theory of heat capacity of crystals well describes the temperature dependence of specific heat capacities of some substances. The Debay’s theory is used to numerically solve the heat balance equation for aluminium and copper. Distribution Fermi–Dirac can be used for calculations if the chemical potential is known. The chemical potential implicitly depends on the concentration and temperature. It is shown how to numerically calculate the chemical potential. Shows how to solve numerically and graphically an equation arising in the derivation of the Wien’s shift law. With the help of Planck’s formula determines the temperature of the stars having a maximum proportion of radiation in the visible range. In the West, particularly in Germany, studying of the intercultural communication’s theory is carried out on an equal basis with capture of practical components of intercultural education and mentoring, providing development of intercultural skills. The practical aspect of intercultural education and mentoring can also be widely adopted in Russia, mainly within educational process of future specialists in the field of linguistics and translation. The method of training is considered as the element of practical intercultural education and mentoring. The “standard model” is a complex of (i) methane flux probability densities distributions for typical ecosystems of all natural zones, (ii) period of CH4 emission for all zones, and (iii) fraction of wetland area for all zones. We present experimental data (methane fluxes in forest-tundra) which are the components of “standard model” Aa1. | 2298 | The paper presents experimental data on the methane emissions from West Siberian middle taiga oligotrophic hollows. Studied fluxes vary considerably from –0.08 to 58 mgС·m–2·h–1 (median is 2.76 mgС·m–2·h–1). Received data are consolidated in the scope of «standard model» Bc8 conception of methane emission. The model contains medians of CH4 flux distributions on seven different microlandscape types depending on their area and duration of methane emission in the respective zones. The total flux from the middle taiga oligotrophic hollows is 0.37 TgC or approximately 70 % of CH4 total flux from middle taiga mires. Version Bc8 of this model estimates the value of yearly CH4 emission from mires of whole Western Siberia as 2.93 TgC·yr–1 that accounts for around 2.4 % of the total mire methane emission.
