Vasilyeva I.A. GENESIS OF MONEY AND MONEY RELATIONS IN PRIMITIVE CULTURE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 5 (158). P. 211-216

The article reveals the specifics of the genesis of money and monetary relations in primitive culture from the perspective of facts stated in anthropology, which sufficiently suggested that money existed in primitive culture. Directly to economic exchange (barter), they were not required, but the money worked in non-functioning forms of exchange and initiated rational disposal of surplus. Money in the ritual exchange of “Kula” united the different parts of the primitive society, after that the economic exchange was possible. In the ritual of “potlatch” the money were fixed amount consumed for sacrificial benefits that had to return to the owners with increasing in future.

The portrait of a Russian high school student is offered, its social and psychological peculiarities are presented as structural components. Three main directions of psychological support for international students are chosen and described: the development of social and household skills of foreign students; the development of social and psychological characteristics of foreign students and overcoming negative phenomena; the formation and development of intercultural competence of foreign students.

The paper outlines the types of discourse-pragmatic functions and kinds of propositional-semantic content associated with the Loc-marked Agent constructions in Eastern Khanty. Selected methodology includes contrastive morpho-syntactic and contextual analysis of the narrative corpus, attending to the information structure and linguistic meta-data. Based on discourse analysis, it is hypothesized, that a wide cognitive faculty facilitating the structuring of information and specifying the roles of the participants, governs the choice of grammatical means, i.e. the construction types. It follows from the analysis of pragmatic, semantic and grammatical features of interacting discourse participants that specific system’s grammatical resources identify with certain pragmatic-semantic properties. The Loc-Agent constructions are prototypically used to express the events with more than one argument with competing topicality. The Loc-Agent constructions (agented passive and “ergative”) manifest a parenthetical shift in centrality of the discourse referents, where a secondary topic referent is competing with the primary agentive topic. This is expressed by temporary promotion of the secondary topical referent to the Loc-marked S grammatical relation. N.V. Polyakova. The paper focuses on national and cultural peculiarities of indirect euphemistic expressions in American English. The author suggests that euphemism is a strategic communicative device varying within and under the influence of the historic, socio and cultural linguistic context. The major emphasis of the article is the concept of “American football” as a means of understanding American cultural mind set and source of equivocal euphemistic vocabulary. The paper explores some American cultural traits and values (related to sports traditions and rules) that are deeply impressed in mind and influence language choice: individualism, high risks, strategic planning, obsession with technology, competitiveness, religious affiliation, nationalist beliefs and aggressive business behaviour. The article highlights the popularity of American football and sports in the USA that results in the corresponding euphemistic vocabulary generation. Some sports terms borrowed from American football get in general use and are widely employed in political rhetoric and everyday speech. Therefore, American euphemisms are believed to be a class of their own, principally because they involve American realia and appeal to basic American values, thus becoming challenging to decipher for outsiders and at the same time sounding familiar and picturesque to American English speakers. Accordingly, euphemisms under study provide cultural insight and bespeak cultural identity.

This article defines the role of women who actively participated in the development of different forms of existence of music in the late 19th and early 20th centuries at the first university in Siberia. Special attention is paid to their participation in opening music schools of the city and in the development of the Tomsk branch of the Imperial Russian Musical Society – that social and cultural phenomenon arising in the historical period marked in many Russian provinces, including Siberia.

The direction of the application of nonlinear dynamics methods for semiotic diagnostics of social attractors in modern culture is presented (the result of the RFBR project № 14-06-00440). On the basis of semiotic diagnostics of images and symbols of social egoism and social altruism the arguments for the understanding of bioethics as a phenomenon of self-consciousness of modern culture are put forward (the result of the RFH project № 12-03-00198). The finding out about pragmatics of new culture is done within the framework of project № 155 “Methodology of the modeling the semiotic mechanisms of management of educational systems nonlinear dynamics” of the State assignment for Tomsk State Pedagogical University.

Introduction. The article is devoted to the problem of organizing the methodological activities of a school teacher and university teacher. Methodological activity is the most important component of a teacher’s professional activity, therefore it is important to understand in what ways it can be organized. This aspect is important not only for teachers of private methods, but also for any teacher of higher education, as he is a methodologist - the organizer of the assimilation of educational material by students. When preparing undergraduates as potential teachers, it is important to teach them different ways of organizing methodological activities. Materials and methods. The article was written on the basis of the author’s generalization of the teaching experience for undergraduates “Methods of Teaching Communicative Disciplines”, as well as many years of experience in teaching a course in teaching Russian to future elementary school teachers. Master students not only got acquainted with these methods at lectures, but also actively discussed them in tutorial mode. A comparative analysis of reproductive, constructive, research methods of organizing activities is used. Results and discussion. The characteristic of different ways of organizing methodological activities is given: reproductive, constructive, research. Тhe following comparison criteria were used: positions of participants in joint educational activities, subject of methodological activities, methodological tools, features of working with educational information, organization of the educational environment, result. Conclusion. As a basic principle of organizing methodological activities, co-organization and mutual complementarity of different methods are proposed. The methods are correlated with different models of the organization of joint activities of the teacher and students.
