| 807 | The research contains an immanent analysis of the lyrical microcycle of the late period of work by Mandelshtam “I got lost in the sky – what shall I do?”. The creative world of the diptych is analysed by the authors of the article in dynamic aspect, in connection with the stages of the development of the lyrical plot of search of the true way. Special attention is given to not only poetics (figurative language, prosody aspects), but also to interpretations of intrinsic antinomies reflecting world outlook dominants (sky – earth, life – death, eternal – present and others). Besides, the literary allusions playing an important meaning-forming role in the poems by Mandelshtam are revealed. As a literary pre-text “The Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri is considered. As a result of a consecutive comparison of the basic images, verse features and logic of expansion of the plot, the main principle of cyclization – modulation of the meanings within the limits of the key topic is found. A similar creative move reflects the uncertainty of reflexions and moods of the poet caused by complex life circumstances. The lyrical hero has an aspiration to renounce “down-to-earth” problems, to find the true way. Familiarizing with eternal art, service to the people becomes the result of this way. | 812 | The article deals with the topical problem of influence of media texts of public informational and media language personality on mass addressee subject to pragmatically significant factors of text organization: the author, the topic, the title, the emotional tone, the usage of linguistic and non-linguistic means. The study was carried out on the basis of experiments using a scaling technique with the involvement of a focus group of informants-humanitarians aged from 20 to 50 years. The research material is the posts of different subjects in L. Ulitskaya’s blog and the texts of newspaper article and fragments of M. Veller’s program “Just think!” on the radio “Echo of Moscow”. The initial idea was that the text and its structure reflect the peculiarities of the author’s language personality, and informants’ reception and detection of invariant of data, which we obtained on the basis of the survey, allow to reveal regularities in mechanism of influence of the texts and their elements on the reader’s cognitive activity. It was determined that estimation by collective addressee of variety of speech behavior of public language personality in different genres of media discourse depends on clarity, intelligibility, perspicuity, logicality of information, topical character of subject, emotion and usage of language means of different styles. Substandard vocabulary, which is used in media texts of topical subjects, doesn’t rise to rejection if addressee feels the same emotion, but on the contrary enlarges the pragmatics of speech messages. Excessive subjective modality of public language personality in covering different social themes does not always correspond to a collective addressee, who is focused on stereotypes and restraint in relation to the utterance. The influence of media text depends to a large degree on the informational field of the author’s language personality and his emotion, though the subject of speech messages and the choice of certain genres by the public language personality are of great importance too. | 831 | The article dwells on the functional and semantic peculiarities of the so-called semi-suffixational elements and suffixes that have similar meaning. As a result of the comparative analysis of synonymous semi-suffixes and suffixes, the synonymous sets of semi-suffixes correlated with the corresponding sets of suffixes were revealed. It was stated that despite of being functionally and semantically close, possessing common distributional characteristics and sharing to a certain extent the same area of application, these word-building elements can’t be considered as the identical ones. The reason of it is hidden in the specific nature of the meanings of semi-suffixes: the semantics of the latest is not as wide in its denotative part but it shows more variety in its significative part than the semantics of the correlated suffixes. Moreover, suffixes demonstrate a higher degree of generalization of the lexical meaning than semi-suffixes. The author comes to the conclusion about a wider significative meaning of a semi-suffix capable of uniting more semantic characteristics and conceptional relations than the semantics of a suffix; denotative meaning of semi-suffix appeared to be more narrow and limited than the one of a suffix. Thus, significative meaning of semi-suffix contains a greater number of conceptual, semantic features and pragmatic relations. Keywords: semi-suffix, suffix, generalization of meaning, synonymy, polycemy, significative meaning, denotative meaning | 2203 | |||||
| 832 | Introduction. The importance of the poetics of intertextuality in the novels of the modernist writer Lena Eltang has been repeatedly emphasized by critics and researchers. The appeal to the intertext increases the semantic density of the narrative, serves to convey the specifics of the consciousness of Eltang characters that exist in parallel in the realities of social relations and culture/texts. Material and methods. Intertextual and motivational analysis based on the works of I. Smirnov, M. Gasparov, B. Gasparov, and I. Paperno was applied. Also, the theoretical basis of the research is the works of folklorists and psychologists devoted to the motivational structure of folklore tales about an orphan girl, the plot of initiation (O. M. Freudenberg, E. N. Eleonskaya, R. Efimkin, etc.). The research material is Lena Eltang’s novel “Stone maples”. The purpose of the work is to identify the semantics and functions of the fairy-tale intertext in Lena Eltang’s modernist novel “Stone maples”. Results and discussion. The analysis of the novel allowed us to establish the correspondence of the plot logic of the novel to the motivational structure of the magic and literary fairy tale illustrating the stages of initiation. But, firstly, unlike a fairy tale, the Eltang novel is a prose of a “stream of consciousness”, focused on the disclosure of the inner world of a person. Secondly, the complex subject organization of the novel text, compared to the fairy tale, allowed Eltang to build allusions to fairy tales of different subtypes (about female and male initiation) in the storylines of different characters. The main character of the novel Sasha Sonley is building an association of his life with a fairy tale. In its storyline, it is important not only to match the archetypal plot, but also to try to change it. Despite individual efforts, the fate of the central heroine is built in accordance with a fabulous invariant about an orphan girl (in which the author’s, supra-personal will is manifested): mother’s death, loss of father’s protection; con frontation to stepmother; rivalry with stepsister; victory of the stepdaughter thanks to a magical means (maternal amulet), which also contributes to the search for the groom. The function of the mother’s talisman in the novel is performed by Travnik – “secret notebook”, which combines the diary and the set of recipes for traditional medicine. It is perceived as a channel of communication with the deceased mother, plays a key role in finding the intended. Conclusion. Despite efforts to “rewrite” the fairy-tale narrative, Sasha is forced to go through the entire archetypal plot of initiation before rebirth, restoration of harmony. In the spirit of modernism, based equally on the achievement of psychoanalysis and cultural archaic model, the plot of initiation of the heroes of the fable is built in accordance with a folk tale, but this outwardly-event outline corresponds to the inner story is psychologically complex living of its late maturity, separation from feelings of guilt towards parents and resentment toward them, parting with the past for the future.
