The article considers the problem of games as a means of education and teaching technics. The first part refers to the concept of a game itself and different approaches are reviewed. Then the experience of preparing and holding a game with senior school pupils is described. The game was called «Awareness of probiematisation technology (on the example of activity of a translator))). Schoolchildren translated limericks from English into Russian and pointed out basic schemes of their own activity. Translations were presented and analyzed as derivatives of certain lines of approach to translation - word for word and sense for sense. The norm of translation activity was practiced.

The author reconstructs a big quantity of semi-affixes and affixes with the semantics of space occupation and discrete space, container and fulcrum. Many of them have a lexical origin. A substantial number of original etimologies of many Yenissean words is made. The author comes to the conclusion that Yenissean languages had many typological reconstructions during their history.

In the Yeniseian languages modifying words are distinguished as a single class, in which items display similar functional (they attribute nouns and verbs) and have the same morphological characteristics (they are non-inflected in the attributive function and inflected in the predicative function). The class of modifying words is represented by three big semantic groups: temporal, local and qualitative modifiers. The article will provide a classification of qualitative modifiers in the Yeniseian languages: Ket, Jugh and Kott.

The author makes an attempt to make a share of contribution to the research of the pivotal component of the problem of civic population evacuation – the evacuation of population from Stalingrad and the accommodation of the evacuees at the Siberian land. The article shows the peculiarities and hardships of the situation of the city of Stalingrad, which became the centre of evacuation processes in the South of the country due to its geographical and economical situation, transport development. The paper gives the analysis of the reasons for the belatedness of the mass evacuation held in the city, evacuation of the highly qualified cadres and their families, the ways of solving complex problems of accommodation of the arrivals form Stalingrad in Siberia. The paper makes a special emphasis on the issue as the specialists from Stalingrad arrived in order to build the large plant Transmash, which was to produce diesel engines for tanks, the production of which had been terminated at the Stalingrad Tractor Plant. The papers shows the system of measures undertaken for solving this accommodation problem, highlights that it required the development of the special plan, creation of staging points, organizations of food, medical and social services, mobilization of transport organizations. In spite of many hardships the task of providing the arrived people and their families with living accommodations was solved.

Planning, including lessons’ planning, is an integral and meaningful component of the teacher’s professional methodical training. In the context of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards (FSES) in the system of secondary education, the training of future teachers in lessons planning is substantially updated and acquires special significance. Teachers that carry out this training should take into account and critically comprehend both positive innovations and shortcomings in the standards, be able to scientifically interpret them, explain to students the possibilities of minimizing the methodological shortcomings of FSES; know contemporary scientific and practical achievements on problems of planning lessons in a specific subject area; to apply methodically adequate and effective methods of training on planning. This article is devoted to teaching the planning of a foreign language lesson in the context of FSES as a scientific-methodical problem. Some critical remarks concerning FSES are mentioned; the results of methodical studies on the implementation of foreign language education in the context of FSES are summarized, the scientific-methodical problems of teaching the planning of the foreign language lesson in accordance with the requirements of FSES in the framework of methodical training are described, and the tasks of this training on ensuring the quality of training for lesson planning are formulated. The article outlines the problems that, in the opinion of the author of this article, require methodical comprehension and solution.

Based on discourse analysis, it is hypothesized, that a wide cognitive faculty facilitating the structuring of information and specifying the roles of the participants, governs the choice of grammatical means, i.e. the construction types. It follows from the analysis of pragmatic, semantic and grammatical features of interacting discourse participants that specific system’s grammatical resources identify with certain pragmatic-semantic properties. The Loc-Agent constructions are prototypically used to express the events with more than one argument with competing topicality. The Loc-Agent constructions (agented passive and “ergative”) manifest a parenthetical shift in centrality of the discourse referents, where a secondary topic referent is competing with the primary agentive topic. This is expressed by temporary promotion of the secondary topical referent to the Loc-marked S grammatical relation. N.V. Polyakova. The article deals with the peculiarities of the representation of the concept “Family” in lexicographical sources and in linguistic consciousness of Russian and English-speaking respondents. The generality and specificity of family perception and its members in the section of ethno-cultural and gender aspects, based on the analysis of the free associative experiment are examined. It is revealed that the Russian “feminine” linguistic consciousness is different from the “male” one, and that in the Russian associative field adjectives are dominated, while men have reactions expressed generally by nouns. In the men’s associative field the gender stereotypes of social roles are analyzed and the opposite perception of family members in correlation with biological sex and age.
