The article describes the main aspects of sexuality, attempts to identify the psychological factors that influence sexual self-perception of the object.

The article raises the problems of legal computerization in the conditions of forming common legal information space in Russia which provides all sections of society and each individual citizen with legal information. The article touches upon the problem of verbal representation of “civilization/barbarism” dichotomy in political discourse. The research aims at exploring conceptual metaphors and metonymies verbalizing the concepts which model the development of civilizations of Great Britain and the USA during the period of the First and the Second world wars. The research is based on P. Buchanan’s “Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War”. The methods employed include component, definition and conceptual types of analysis, metaphor modelling and critical discourse analysis. Complex analysis consisting of metaphor modelling, conceptual, definition and component types of analysis presents the following results: metaphor models (Civilization as Personality, Civilization as Expansivity, Civilization as Self-control, Barbarism as Degradation) verbalize the concepts of “civilization” and “barbarism” in a certain cultural-historic context. The identification of concomitant metaphors and metonymies (Great Britain as Cow, Great Britain as Great Lady, Great Britain as Debtor, Great Britain as Slattern the USA as Sheriff, Dresden etc.) verifies the data obtained. Moreover, the investigation explores the role of metonymy Great Britain is the USA as motivator for dynamic processes in discourse. The method of critical discourse analysis which considers discourse as a phenomenon constituting social practice establishes connections between discursive practice and historic events.

In spite of the fact that the importance and need for teaching technologies in the educational process (at all levels) is clearly recognized, the precise and universal classifications of teaching technologies (regardless of the subject area) are currently nonexistent. There is a vast variety of names and types of teaching technologies, including numerous authors’ technologies, developed by both creative and professional communities and individual teachers. One may observe lack of system, scientific basis and unified approaches to the classifications of pedagogical, educational and teaching technologies. The author justifies the specifics and the necessity to consider the instrumentality principle in the process of classification of foreign languages teaching technologies, and states the main tools of foreign languages teaching technologies. The principle of instrumentality as the primary basis for the classification of teaching technologies requires to take tools (basis) of the subject teaching into account. The classification of foreign languages teaching technologies may include mono-tool (poly-target), poly-tool (mono-target) and tool-target teaching technologies. Each type of teaching technologies is illustrated by the scheme of implementation model. The third type of teaching technologies (tool-target) is the most accurately and exactly formulated and effectively implemented type. The paper is dedicated to the study of patriarch Nikon’s manuscript having been unknown earlier – his last will to the brotherhood of the Resurrection monastery of New-Jerusalem. The work is known in one manuscript copy. The sources are Joseph Volotsky’s last will and two litle-known literary texts of the church literature, which were used in Russian manuscript tradition of the XVII-th century. The analysis of the sources has allowed us to determine the genre of literature as the statute-will of the monastery’s founder; to define the time of literary text’s writing as the first half of 1660s; to show its special place in the cotext of the ancien Russian literature.

The article is devoted to analysis of regulative potential of stylistic figures (anzhabeman, parcelling) in lexical regulative structure of Z. Gippius poetic texts. It was determined that regulative means of anzhabeman and parcelling in the author verses are designated to coupling with title and the other regulative means (tropes and stylistic figures). The analyzed stylistic figures define originality of poetic texts and the main characteristic features of Z. Gippius idiostyle. They are “style firmness”, unemotionality, “categorical tone” of narration. Convergence of stylistic figures as the way of organization of text micro- and macrostructures contributes to making a gnomic style of poetic text and allows varying inflexion outline of work.

A comparative analysis of the effect brassinolide (BL) on the morphogenesis of the etiolated seedlings of nontransgenic (SR1) and three transgenic monoinsertion lines (IL18 № 7-1, IL18 № 7-11, and IL18 № 28-3) of Nicotiana tabacum L. on the early stages of ontogenesis was carry out. BL (10–6 M) significantly inhibited the growth of root and hypocotyl as at the non-transgenic, so and the genetically modified plants. The inhibitory effect of BL for all studied plant object decreased by lower concentration. The difference in the growth responses of etiolated seedlings for three transgenic and non-transgenic lines caused by exogenous BL was detected.

The paper deals with the results of investigating the character of gender transformations of a personality of Russian young men and women. The methodological approach is close to the notion of gender personality in English literature when under gender personality the combination oh individual characteristics is meant describing a person as femine, masculine, androgine or non-differential (indefinite) type by psychological qualities and preferable patterns of sex-role behavior. Investigation included 310 students, namely: 140 men and 170 young girls aged 17 – 22. It is shown that in conditions of the up-to-date Russian society there exist the processes of learning gender models and behavior patterns by youth to be traditionally peculiar to opposite sex and have a high manifestation of femine qualities. In contrast, young men acquiring femine features lose the part of their masculine qualities.

The article shows the results of study and the reasons of creation and evolution of regional management of the mountain industry of Russia in the Urals and Siberian region in the 18th century are analyzed. It is proved that together with the formation of Russian mountain manufactures there was a formation and perfection of management, principles and management methods. It led to formation of four-stage structure: Collegium of Mining (Berg-kollegia) – Chancellor’s Office – Mountain administration – Factory office.

The paper focuses on the participation of the Selkups in the Great Patriotic War. The main emphasis is on establishing of the Selkup pre-war population in the area of Narym and the number of their casualties in the war. Following analysis the author concludes that the large casualties of the Selkups at the front have led to high-quality demographic changes and became one of the reasons that caused irreversible cultural change in the postwar period.

The article is focused on precedent phenomena as sign and verbally presented units that carry information about national features and create national culture code which can be understood only with the deep knowledge of traditional British culture. The article is based on the precedent phenomena in the headlines of news, editorials and analytical articles published in such quality press newspapers as The Telegraph and The Guardian. The main source-spheres of the precedent phenomena are singled out in the article because they serve as a nationally marked coordinate system which is reflected in the language of mass media discourse. The article concludes that the main source-spheres of precedent phenomena in the headlines are political, social and cultural spheres that give information about history and contemporary life of British nation.

In the article the author points out the system of priorities, that define the development of education in the sphere of physical training, which, first of all, aim at mastering the humanistic values of physical training and took into consideration the interests and individual peculiarities of the personality.
