| 6601 | The online academic cheating (OAC) is widely discussed in academic circles of different countries. The present study was conducted after the second COVID-19 wave and therefore reflects the process of mass transition to online learning, which contributes to the originality of the research. The specificity of methodological approach is comparing the opinions of teachers and students, a total of 488 respondents answering online questionnaires. According to the data obtained, from 70 to 80 % of students resort to OAC. As a rule, students tend to use lecture and lesson materials for copying and peeking, contrary to the teachers’ perception of the use of electronic media. On detecting the deception, 57 % of teachers just admonish students, 39% deduct marks. One third of students believe that teachers tend to overlook fraud. Students report resorting to deception because of lack of confidence in their knowledge. Teachers believe that the reason lies in insufficient preparation for classes. From 50 to 70 % of respondents think that such forms of assessment as a spontaneous answer, free-source research and project work reduce cheating. According to students, individual creative tasks can be added to this list. The most important factor reducing cheating is intrinsic motivation (50-60% of students and teachers). Among the measures proposed by students to combat academic fraud, didactic methods are given the highest priority as well as students’ initiatives like the movement in social networks #iliketobehonest, whose icon is shown on a student’s screen in an online activity reflecting a conscious decision made by the student. | 6602 | In modern studies of language, the focus of attention is on the functional features of linguistic phenomena. Functional grammar is no exception, describing the structure, content and functioning of semantic categories around which functional-semantic fields are organised, covering the whole language space and its different levels (aspectuality, modality, quantity, quality, etc.). This study considers condition as a subfield of the conditionality field, which also includes the subfields of cause, purpose, consequence and concession, which are closely related to each other both by internal logical relations and by means of their expression. Despite a number of studies devoted to the structure of the conditionality subfield and its separate manifestations, including conditional constructions, conjunctions and prepositions, the issues of discourse variability of the components of this subfield have not been specifically considered. Conditional relations seem to be most significant for scientific discourse, on the material of which this study is based. The scientific literature describes the conditional meanings characteristic of the corresponding constructions and constituting the content plan of the condition subfield. These are real-conditional, potential-conditional, unreal-conditional, as well as non-conditional meanings – conditional-temporal meaning, conditional-causal, conditional-consequential, conditional-purpose, conditional-concessive, conditional-explanatory. Thus, the conditional semantics is in the intersection with related meanings (including conditionality), is extremely diverse, as well as diverse means of its expression - at the level of simple (to be a condition, to condition, at, under condition, in the case of, etc.) and complex (with conjunctions if, if, if only, when, etc.) sentences. This study is based on the assumption that the means of expressing conditional semantics vary in different thematic types of scientific discourse. Turning to the core genre of scientific discourse – the scientific article – confirms this assumption. The material of the study was 3 708 articles from the peer-reviewed journals “The World of Russian Word” and “Bulletin of Tomsk State University”. In the course of the analysis, more than 60 000 contexts with conditional meanings, collected by the method of continuous sampling, from articles on philology, history, biology, computer science and informatics, and economics were considered. The analysis showed that not all private meanings of conditionality presented in the language are manifested in scientific discourse. When expressing conditional relations in the articles of the five mentioned subjects, the central position is occupied by simple sentences with the preposition at, at the level of a complex sentence the marker of conditional semantics is the conjunction if. The qualitative and quantitative indicators with regard to conditional constructions for articles of different themes differ significantly. Thus, the study shows the variability of the expression plan and content plan of the conditional subfield, the differences in the use of conditional units in different types of scientific discourse. | 6603 | The Republic of Mauritius, an island state in Southeast Africa, located in the southwestern part of the Indian Ocean, is notable for the fact that its integral formation and development, including the construction of a national educational system, are closely intertwined with the geopolitical, socio-economic and geographical history of the country, which was a colony of such European states as Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, etc. Mauritius has integrated the experience of colonial powers into its own development trajectories. In particular, it should be noted that Mauritius, having gained independence in 1968 from British colonization, was declared a sovereign constitutional monarchy within the Commonwealth of Nations, assimilating in the process the British model of education in its national education system. Almost all general education institutions of the colonial era, as evidenced by researchers Kamara M. [1] and Windel A. [2], were founded with religious intentions, with the aim of promoting missionary denominations and the dominance of French-English education, without a specific obligation to spread higher education. As in the era of French colonial Africa, the British colonists sought out English-speaking indigenous and slave populations brought by colonizers from other African countries, India, China, etc., largely for the purpose of seeking profit and realizing economic plans. However, the demand of the representatives of British industry operating on the territory of the island for qualified specialists in narrow engineering, technical and natural science profiles and areas of training contributed to the reorientation of missionary schools, initially aimed at the study of theology and the Bible, the study of astronomy, mathematics, geography, the English language, the basics of administration, trade, and so on. Present, the Mauritius Higher Education Quality Assurance System (hereinafter referred to as the MHEQAS) reflects, on the one hand, the national component in its basis, on the other hand, it is based, albeit on the Africanized, but British model and standards for assessing the quality of education. Moreover, it can be argued that the MHEQAS is quite in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area ESG. This article is devoted to the consideration of the quality assurance standards of higher education in the Republic of Mauritius and the analysis of specific criteria laid down in the national system for assessing the quality of higher education from the point of view of comparing them with ESG standards. Keywords: Republic of Mauritius, national education system, Mauritius system of quality assurance in higher education, criteria and indicators of program audit, European ESG standards | 1538 | |||||
| 6604 | The purpose of the study is to analyze foreign language teachers’ views on distance education (DE) in the period that is defined now as post-COVID period; on the optimal ratio of the online and offline forms of education; on main difficulties while shifting to hybrid format of education; on the changes in quality of life among teachers and in their emotional state. The anonymous answers of 120 foreign language (FL) teachers served as a basis for the research. They answered questions in the online survey. It was found 46 % of FL teachers have fully adapted to the distance teaching, but 39 % of the surveyed work remotely with great reluctance. Half of the respondents believe that online learning is effective only in combination with full-time education. For 63 % of teachers, the main difficulty of online teaching is the accumulated physical and psychological fatigue. The optimal ratio of offline and online classes in a blended learning format in order to achieve its greatest effectiveness is 50–70 % of offline classes. Teachers perceive the advantages of online learning in the more rational use of their working time (40 %), the possibility of combining it with other work. Distance learning affects the health of teachers. The received results are recommended to use for the review of teachers’ workplace conditions in online as well as in blended learning with the aim to upgrade the quality of their professional activity in blended or distance learning. The research that is based on the empirical data would be useful for specialists in digitalization of the educational system. | 6605 | Introduction. This article is devoted to the study of motivational relationships and nomination models in the lexical-semantic field “Harm” based on the material of the dialects of the Russian language. The vocabulary of this field is associated with the expression of the negative utilitarian evaluation. The analysis of motivational relations and nomination models in the vocabulary of utilitarian evaluation shows the features of understanding the concept of “harm” in the minds of carriers of traditional culture. Aim and objectives. The aim is to identify structural-semantic and motivational relationships in the lexicalsemantic field “Harm”. Material and methods. Dialect material was collected from 49 issues of the Dictionary of Russian dialects. The detection of motivational features, as well as nomination models based on them, suggests a component analysis of the semantics of the derivative word in comparison with the semantics of the generating word, grouping of the signs of nomination in the model of nomination. The areal method and, in the case of an unclear internal form, the comparative historical method, serves to clarify the functional and semantic features. Results and discussion. Consideration of the motivational-genetic relationships of the units of the lexical-semantic field “Harm” in the dialects of the Russian language made it possible to identify and track the formation of the conceptual structure of negative utilitarian evaluation in traditional culture. As a result, it turned out that most field tokens have unambiguously established motivational relations, except for units of the core and the perinuclear part of the field, which have lost the transparency of motivational relations due to the historical depth of their occurrence. To reconstruct the motivational relations of these lexemes, data of etymological dictionaries are used. The analysis of semantic connections and motivational relations of field vocabulary made it possible to identify field boundaries and identify eight nomination models. Conclusion. The found motivational relations and the motivational models presented by them revealed, on the one hand, a fundamental similarity with the previously considered motivational characteristics on the material of the literary language, and on the other hand, they revealed differences associated with historical changes in motivational relations caused by the evolution of the concept of “harm”. | 6606 | Home Life in Russia (1854) is a distorted translation of Nikolai Gogol’s Dead Souls, aiming mainly at forming a negative image of Russia and its people. The original key idea of spiritual rebirth is replaced by that of Russia’s moral inferiority to Britain, shifting the focus to the present, originally subordinate to the past and future. The article examines how the original temporal imagery transforms in the novel. Home Life in Russia and Dead Souls are examined using comparative, cultural-historical and hermeneutical methods. The now specified present moves from the 1830s to the 1840s, helping to accentuate everyday problems as opposed to the existential ones. The characters originally serving as anthropological models (Krivonos) become (ethno)social types. They are said to reliably demonstrate the current state of Russian society, depicted as barbaric, backward, and morally decayed while also full of ambition, enterprise, and the urge to acquire. In general, each of the characters strongly resembles the original one, but the most significant indications of their potential spiritual rebirth, both implicit (the landowners) and explicit (Tchichikoff), disappear from the text. This notably reduces mentions of the characters’ future and past, allowing them to escape the dead(ly) present. These changes occur both in the plot and narrative. Tchichikoff and Plyushkin, connected both in the original by the prospect of their spiritual rebirth and in Home Life in Russia by the finality of their fall, transform the most noticeably. Transforming or omitting the depictions of the characters’ past and future, the author reduces them to the image they have in the present. Each of them becomes a static, complete picture in the newly created gallery of morals. Keywords: Gogol, Dead Souls, image of the future, free translation | 1532 | |||||
| 6607 | The transition to industrialization 2.0 – a modern technological mode in conditions of an acute shortage of personnel, a low level of their qualifications, negative competition changes the paradigm of employment and actualizes the professional identity of the individual with a focus on high-tech spheres, primarily industrial production, supported by artificial intelligence, digitalization and automation. In these conditions, the demand for a new nomenclature and content of competencies increases, which represents the guidelines for methodological innovation and determines the initial principles of such work – consistency, individual approach, gamification, design of the educational and professional route of the optant. On the example of SibGIU, the possibilities of the vocational orientation system are shown. The analysis, synthesis and generalization of theoretical research in the field of professional definition and orientation, the Doctrine of Industry, the Unified Model of Vocational Orientation of the Population, the leading provisions of the anthropological and convergent approaches made it possible to formulate contradictions between the current state of the labor market and the possibilities of education to reproduce personnel of the necessary qualification and nomenclature. Institutional opportunities for overcoming the axiological heterogeneity of representatives of individualistic and collectivist Russia in the management of employees are revealed, the principles of a human-centric society are formed, representing an acmeological and civilizational turn in public consciousness, which can be implemented on the basis of the mental concept of professional orientation at the pre-professional, professional and post-professional levels. The author reveals an actual mechanism of professional definition, relevant to the needs of the labor market, but also representing the contract between citizens and the state as mutual obligations in relation to employment and satisfaction of the hierarchy of personal needs. The content of the processes of professional identification, immanently representing the quantitative and qualitative transformation of the personality, as a transition from sociality to professionalism and in a modified form again to sociality, is determined. The targets at the individual and public levels are indicated, representing clusters of tasks implemented in the stratagems of the country’s socio-economic development, which are essentially a civilizational turn in mentality. The initial foundations of mental conceptualization are determined. | 6613 | Currently the government of Russian Federation provides a lot of resources for the educational system in general and for training of teaching staff, in particular. These spheres are one of the key aspects for development today. Thus, the Concept of Teaching Staff Training for the System of Education prior to 2030 (June, 24 2022) was established and adopted to increase the quality of higher education in Russia. This Concept implies mainstreaming of information and communication technologies in the system of education in Russia. It is necessary to underline, that the process of digital transformation takes place not only in the system of education but in various spheres of life, in economy, medicine, to name a few. This trend includes partial or full transition to digital media which simplify social processes that cannot always undergo offline. It became vivid during the period of pandemic when the world had to switch over to distant communication. Educational establishments address the possibilities of electronic educational environments combining educational content of various forms (text, video, audio materials). Electronic educational resources are in open access; students may practice any time from any place in case of the Internet accessibility. Whereas teachers have an opportunity to update the educational content systematically and stay in tune with students’ requirements, applying approaches of individualization and humanization of the educational process. The authors of the study highlight special features of using electronic educational courses. | 6615 | The toponymic material of the Arbaty micro-area of the Republic of Khakassia gives an idea of the history, geography, ethnography of the southern part of the region, the culture and religion of the Khakasses, the peculiarities of the way of life and economic activity of the people in the taiga area, reflects the linguistic and dialectal features of the Khakass language, and also shows the processes of formalization of the world man. The factual material of the study was the geographical names collected in the field, supplemented by information from dictionary, scientific and local history works. Toponyms here reflect the Beltir dialect of the Sagai dialect. The search for the etymology of the large hydronyms Arbaty and Madyras led the study to the Tungus trace, which was not noted in any work by previous linguists and historians specifically for this territory. The hypothesis awaits further confirmation (or refutation). The chronological picture of the settlement of the area is continued by the Ket names, then numerous Turkic and single Russian ones. The territory of the Arbaty is a taiga place, squeezed by high ridges and mountain rivers. The relief is characterized by numerous logs, depressions and their streams and springs, low hills, mounds. The population lives by hunting, cattle breeding, harvesting and gathering. In Soviet times, there were cultural crops, state farms, logging facilities, and sawmills. River mills worked. The main population is Khakasses and Russians. The Khakass have ancestral and sacred mountains on which shamans perform rituals; believe in the existence of natural spirits. Nature is rich in berries, nuts, wild onions, birds and animals. All these features of the area are reflected in the names of geographical objects: depressions, rivers, mountains, streams and springs, villages and settlements, taiga and steppe towns and lands. Many toponyms consist of two to five words, reflecting qualitative, relative, typical and possessive relationships and connections. Toponyms are characterized by signs of ambiguity, asymmetry, and variability. | 6617 | Introduction. At present, competition between countries is in the field of technology, and one who has the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and translate it into technology will be able to provide leadership to his country. The share of Russian high technologies in the world market is very small, about one percent. Therefore, the training of next generation engineers needs to be transformed as a priority. Science is the foundation of engineering education. An engineer of the 21st century is an “innovative engineer”, a developer who must have research skills, the ability to obtain and apply scientific information in professional activities. Searching scientometric databases with the greatest efficiency and effectiveness is an important skill for a modern engineer. International databases allow you to get up-to-date scientific knowledge, keep abreast of trends in engineering activities, new ideas, contributing to the creation of unique technologies. Systematic work with Scopus and Web of Science is one of the opportunities for Lifelong learning, development of the general and professional potential of the individual. But numerous surveys show that there are gaps in training future engineers to work with Web of Science and Scopus databases. The aim is to substantiate the effectiveness of project-based learning for the formation of research skills in working with international Scopus and WoS databases among future engineers. Material and methods. Theoretical methods were used in the work – abstraction, analysis, concretization, generalization; empirical methods – participant observation, reflective interview, experiment, study of the products of educational activity. The analysis of scientific research devoted to the ideas of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological science, which determine the effectiveness of project-based learning for the formation of research skills for working with international databases in future engineers, has been carried out. The methodological basis of the study was an activity-based, person-oriented approach, a theoretical analysis of scientific literature, and a generalization of the results of the study. Results and discussion. The results of approbation of project training for future engineers of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics for the formation of research skills in working with international databases within the framework of the discipline “Fundamentals of project activities” are presented. Conclusion. The project method for training future engineers contributes to the formation of research skills in working with international databases. | 6618 | Introduction. The abstract to the academic paper is a required section for the publication of research results. Abstract is a secondary speech genre, the creation of which most often makes it difficult for foreign students studying Russian. The purpose of this article is the analysis and development of criteria for evaluating the work of foreign students to create an abstract to a research paper. Materials and methods. The material for the developing of theoretical positions was scientific papers on the main directions of this study. Empirical research material – 20 written abstracts of foreign students-philologists (level B2) to research paper, which named “Semantics of the lexeme “temple” in language and text (based on the material of Russian orthodox sermons)”. In the course of the research, methods of analysis (the analysis of scientific papers on the topic of this research, the analysis of written works of students) and synthesis are used. Results and discussion. Abstract writing is considered as a process of generating scientific written discourse, the effectiveness of which is influenced by cognitive and pragmatic factors. The cognitive factor means strategic (the skill to determine the communicative purpose, plan communicative tasks when achieving the goal of communication) and tactical (the skill to select appropriate language tools for the implementation of communicative tasks) discourse plans. The pragmatic factor of discourse includes the sphere of communication, the specifics of the situation and the characteristics of the addressee of communication. These important factors should be taken into account in the evaluation of abstract. Within the framework of the cognitive approach, based on the developed methods for the skills formation, divided into three blocks (discourse, speech, language competences) and taking into account the specifics of written scientific discourse, a method for calculating the success of writing an abstract to a research paper was created. Conclusion. This method of assessing the level of formation of the relevant skills is the most productive, since within the methodological categories of competence and skills of speech activity, it is advisable to combine the canon, and the specifics of the genre (genre aspect), the structure, and content of the text (speech-producing aspect), and scientific style (stylistic aspect). | 6620 | The relevance of the topic is due to the growing interest in the genre of travelogue, which is associated with the problems of national identity and national myth, reflected in the images of the national cultural landscape, as well as the importance of studying regional images in their relation to the all-Russian history and culture. The scientific novelty of the article is connected with the study of the travelogue genre, which presents the formation of the image of Nizhny Novgorod. The collective trips begin in 1817, when the fair was moved here. Therefore, during the XIX century, a certain reputation of the city as a “pocket of Russia” was formed. The scientific novelty of this study is determined by the study of the features of the presentation of the All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition of 1896 in the literature of travel, as an independent and significant literary phenomenon that clarifies the image of the city. The travelogues of D. I. Mendeleev, N. G. Garin-Mikhailovsky, K. A. Korovin, F. I. Chaliapin, Emperor Nicholas II, Joseph de Bay, L. V. Kolotilov are introduced into scientific circulation. In travelogues, travelers highlight “the triumph of Russian genius”, “the power of our century”, considering Nizhny Novgorod not an accidental “hero of the days”. The obvious signs of the image of the city are its historical role in the fate of the Fatherland, its unique geographical location, the specifics of cultural life, etc. It is shown that the image of the Exhibition in travel notes, essays, diaries, memoirs is presented through the synthesis of documentary and fiction principles, fragmentary and retrospective, through a high degree of narrative reflection of the author and the use of the traditional pilgrimage element. The results of a comparative analysis of the works of authors who created their own interpretation and demonstrated their vision of the All-Russian exhibition, which became a kind of personification of Russia’s achievements at the end of the XIX century, are presented. The theoretical significance of the article is determined by the fact that the concept of “local text” is used in the course of the study; new material is introduced into scientific circulation; the description of the image of Nizhny Novgorod and the All-Russian exhibition in travelogues determines its significance in the formation of the image of the Motherland. | 6624 | The professional sphere “Urban planning” is one of the youngest, promising and rapidly developing branches of construction, which necessitates the study and systematization of this terminological system in the Russian language. Aim and objective of the work is to build a conceptual model of the terminological system “Urban planning”. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the definition of the hierarchical structure of this terminological system based on conceptual modeling, as well as in the identification and analysis of special units that are not recorded in dictionaries. The material for the study was urban planning terms selected by continuous sampling from dictionaries, encyclopedias, scientific articles, educational and methodological literature of building codes and regulations, thematic sites, videos dedicated to this field of activity. The analysis is based on general scientific methods, including observation, comparison, analysis, generalization, systematization. Also, the basis of the study is linguistic methods: definitional and component analysis, modeling based on the conceptual approach. The conceptual model of the term system of the sphere “Urban planning” is considered as a structured field, reflecting the general logical connection of all terminological units among themselves. The constituent elements (from the highest to the lowest position in the hierarchical system) of the model are terminological groups, subgroups and microgroups. As a result of the analysis of the studied material, the boundaries of the urban planning terminology system were determined and its systematization was carried out. A multilevel hierarchical construct of terminological units of the subject area “Urban planning” is defined, consisting of the following groups: “Fundamentals and methods of urban planning”, “Territorial planning”, “Functional and planning organization of the territory”, “Architectural and construction design”, “City improvement”, “Urban reconstruction”, “Urban ecology”, “Urban studies of the city”, which in turn are divided into terminological subgroups and microgroups. The terminological group “Fundamentals and methods of urban planning” was analyzed in details. | 6625 | Introduction. The Russian scientific community is faced with the task of integrating domestic research into the global publication space. Today in Russia the culture of using foreign databases is at the stage of formation, while abroad it is at a fairly high level. With the expansion of the globalization of socio-economic processes, possession of over-professional skills in working with the Web of Science and Scopus databases becomes a necessary condition for Russian science to enter the world scientific space. Therefore, an integral part of the system of measures aimed at improving the indicators of Russian science in international citation indices should be training activities for working with foreign information resources. One of the important educational problems is the lack of training of young researchers to work with foreign databases. Consequently, in the context of globalization and digitalization, specially organized educational support for young researchers in working with foreign information resources is needed. The support of researchers should be aimed at the formation of over-professional skills in working with Web of Science, Scopus and their analytical tools, the formation of “scientometric literacy”. The aim is to substantiate the effectiveness of the model of organizational and methodological support for the entry of young researchers into the global publication space. Material and methods. Theoretical – abstraction, analysis, specification, generalization; empirical – included observation, questionnaire, survey, reflective interview, experiment, focus group. Results and discussion. The structure of competencies of young researchers for working with foreign databases Scopus, Web of Science and the analytical tool SciVal has been developed, including motivational, cognitive, behavioral and reflective-evaluative components. A model of organizational and methodological support for the entry of young researchers into the global publication space was created to form these competencies. The proposed model of support was tested in Tomsk Polytechnic University. Conclusion. The diagnostic results showed that the model of organizational and methodological support for the entry of young researchers into the global publication space contributes to the formation of over-professional skills of working with foreign databases and their analytical tools, the formation of “scientometric literacy” of students, graduate students and young scientists. | 6627 | The article attempts to use a functional-semantic approach to the study of the category of intensity in order to identify and systematize the means of expressing the intensity of an action in the modern German language. The work was carried out on the material of the “German-Russian Synonymous Dictionary”, “Dictionary of Word Formative Elements of the German Language”, “German-Russian Phraseological Dictionary”, as well as using fragments of literary works of German writers of the 20th century. Taking into account the main directions in solving the problem of correlating the category of intensity with the concepts of expressiveness and quantity, the authors propose to interpret intensity as a category derived from the semantic categories of quantity and quality and as a quantitative indicator of expressiveness and emotional experiences. The category of action intensity is studied as a segment of the macrofield of the universal category of intensity. An analysis of the ways of expressing the intensity of an action in the German language allows to present the functional-semantic field under study as a monocentric formation, the core of which includes lexical means: intensifying verbs; adverbs with intensifying / deintensifying meanings and phraseological units. Syntactic means are located in the perinuclear zone. Word-formation, morphological and phonetic means fall into the peripheral sections of the field. As a result of the study, it was possible to establish that the microfield of action intensity includes a zone of intensification and deintensification. Linguistic intensification of action in syntagmatics is characterized by greater diversity than in paradigmatics. Verbs whose meaning includes the seme of intensity have a high frequency when expressing the intensity of an action in paradigmatics. In syntagmatics, the most common way to intensify or deintensify an action is to use adverbs. Deintensification of the action in most cases does not carry a stylistic load and, as a rule, is intended to soften the characteristics of the action. The means of expressing the intensity of action, on the contrary, are stylistically coloured. The most striking and powerful means of intensifying action are qualitative adverbs and comparative phraseological units. The construction of a model of the functional-semantic field of the category of action intensity on the material of the German language made it possible to systematically present the formal means of expressing intensity in their inextricable connection with semantic content and pragmatic orientation. | 6628 | Perceptive vocabulary holds a special place in autobiographical text, as it is through this that the author conveys their memories and impressions of the events described. The lexicon of auditory perception in autobiographical works allows for an expanded understanding of the specifics of perceptive lexical representations in literary works. The lexicon of auditory perception is examined through the proposition of perception, the basis of which consists of predicates expressed by verbs. The purpose of the article is to analyze the semantics and functioning of auditory perception vocabulary in autobiographical text. The material is presented in the form of 189 statements from Irina Odoevtseva’s work “On the Banks of the Neva,” containing verbal lexemes with the semantics of auditory perception. The primary method used is the scientific description method, implemented through techniques of contextual analysis, as well as observation, comparison, analysis, synthesis, and generalization. It has been determined that verbs of auditory perception perform various roles in the semantic organization of statements. Verbs with the semantics of active and passive auditory perception of both subjective and objective orientation have been examined. The conclusion is made that in the work “On the Banks of the Neva,” there are more verbs of active perception than passive. This is related to the specifics of the work – in this way, the author conveys their eagerness to hear and perceive as much audible information as possible (listening to poems, reports, lectures, and discussions), to transmit the atmosphere of that time period, of which they were a witness. I. V. Odoevtseva indirectly reveals the character, worldview, inner state of the characters, and the nuances of human relationships through statements with the meaning of auditory perception. Perception, as part of memory, conveys what the author and other characters of the work saw and heard in the past. Moreover, the lexicon of auditory perception deepens the understanding of the work and takes the reader back to the time remembered by the author, immersing them in the autobiographical discourse. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that verbs with the semantics of auditory perception perform the function of recreating memories in autobiographical text. | 6629 | The relevance of research. The requirement to develop a culture of reading among the modern reader, the importance of elaborating new methods and techniques of a literary text’s analysis, including identifying the subtextual information contained in it, an intense interest in the work of I. A. Bunin determined the relevance of the study of the writer’s fiction in the monograph by L. G. Kaida. Methods of research. A descriptive method was used, including techniques of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization. Results and discussion. The scientific novelty of the monograph under review is due to the author’s comprehensive approach to the study of the deep meaning of 17 well-known works of different genres by I. A. Bunin. The complex nature of L. G. Kaida’s study is associated with a multifaceted consideration of the content plan of texts in line with the philosophical, psychological, philological, semiotic approaches to the study of fictional prose of the classic of Russian literature based on the analysis of the integral composition of the artistic space of these 17 texts. An integral approach and an expanded interpretation of compositional poetics as an aesthetic category allowed the author of the monograph to identify patterns characteristic of the writer at the level of his individual author’s manner of writing, to determine the features of Bunin’s psychologism, his aesthetic “I”, analyzing the writer’s work on the basis of comparing works of different years. In contrast to other researchers of Bunin’s works, the author of the monograph focused on solving his “secret writing”, considering the subtext information of Bunin’s literary works. This was successfully implemented on basis of the study of the intermedia composition of literary texts, reflecting the idea of the synthesis of arts. The concept developed by L. G. Kaida was embodied in practice in a deep analysis of the compositional poetics of I. Bunin’s works and a detailed study of the dynamics of the compositional and speech form of texts and their elements. The analysis of the artistic space of the writer’s work allows L. G. Kaida to single out and prove integral composition as “a new category of philological studies of the author’s text”. The evident advantages of the book are the identification of various “behind-the-text nuances” in the well-known works of I. A. Bunin, which makes it possible for a new, deep penetration into the author’s creative laboratory and unraveling his intentions and motives. Conclusion. New book by L. G. Kaida, owing to its relevance, theoretical and practical significance, will be in demand by specialists in theory and methods of text analysis, in the university practice of teaching the stylistics of decoding and philological analysis of the text, as well as by everyone who is interested in the work of I. A. Bunin. The author’s method of complex analysis of a literary text towards compositional poetics can be used to study the texts of other authors. Keywords: I. A. | 6632 | The analysis of statistical data and the need for timely prophylactic addictive behavior among adolescents was carried out. The research material was the developed and implemented program for the prevention of alcoholism among adolescents «Keep a healthy lifestyle». As well as the analysis of literature in the field of prevention of deviant behavior, the system of interdepartmental interaction, including psychology and family psychotherapy. During puberty, the teenager’s life self-determination takes place, plans for the future are formed. He changes himself, tries to understand himself and his capabilities. Requirements and expectations of other people change. He is forced to adapt, to adapt to new conditions and situations constantly, but this does not always happen successfully. Due to the difficulties experienced by a teenager in this age period, the teenager is vulnerable to alcohol seduction. Consequently, the alcoholism prevention program is extremely important for this age stage. For this purpose, our program for the prevention of alcoholism among adolescents was developed and tested, which consists of 4 modules with a certain complex focus of activity. Where each module fulfills its irreplaceable function in the development of a healthy, law-abiding and responsible citizen. The program developed by us had a real impact on the minds of adolescents and helped to form the motivation to stop drinking alcohol. Since we used a complex nature, which meant not only the prevention of adolescents themselves, but also the involvement of their parents in this process for interaction, which made it possible to expand knowledge in the field of alcohol abuse. To implement our program for the prevention of alcoholism among adolescents, we have developed and presented certain requirements that had to be met by specialists carrying out preventive activities. This made it possible to avoid pedagogical mistakes on the part of specialists and to provide real help to adolescents who need prevention of alcohol dependence. | 6633 | The article is devoted to the analysis of the verbalisation of the concept of creativity in the poetry of the outstanding Russian poet of the second half of the twentieth century Y. D. Levitansky. Poems from the poet’s early collections “Leaves are Flying” (1956), “Sides of the World” (1959) and “Earthly Sky” (1963) are considered as the research material. The choice of these poetic texts is due to their insufficient study, as well as the desire to consider in more detail the initial period of Levitansky’s work, important for understanding his work as a whole. In order to achieve the set goal, the study uses the method of solid sampling, observation, semantic-stylistic and contextual analyses. It was established that creativity in the author’s perception appears as a complex process of self-expression, requiring inspiration, diligence and harmony with nature. Y. D. Levitansky describes the analysis of the poet’s inner conflicts, the balance between emotions and reason, as well as the opposition of the author’s individuality and stereotypes in creativity. Emphasis is made on the complex emotions experienced by the poet at the beginning of the creative process. The study reveals the linguistic means representing the concept of creativity: the use of metaphors, epithets and antithesis to convey the internal contradictions and experiences of the poet; repetition of words and phrases to enhance the emotional impact of the text, as well as the use of oxymorons and rhetorical questions to express the complexity and contradictory nature of the creative process. As the study has shown, for Y. D. Levitansky creativity is an integral part of his essence, a way of self-expression and search for meaning in life. The author sees creativity as a source of pain and experience, as well as deep satisfaction. The poet sees creativity as a serious and exciting process that requires complete dedication and concentration, but at the same time brings joy and expectation of something important and meaningful. For Y. D. Levitansky, creativity is an exploration of the inner world, where pencil and paper act as tools to reveal the depths of the human soul. | 6634 | The article represents the selected results of the research aimed at the actualisation of the system of the future mathematics teacher’s preparation in the system of the higher pedagogical education and designing a methodological system for training a future subject teacher in the context of the development of individualization of teaching mathematics. The presented methodological system of training students studying in specialized pedagogical programs of bachelor’s and master’s programs is a subsystem of the general system of training a teacher of mathematics at a university, has a complete structure, includes target, content, methodological, effective-evaluative and motivationalpersonal components. The target component is considered to be a backbone in the constructed methodological system of training a future mathematics teacher, and it is the component that determines the result of mastering the educational program in its entity as the target competency model of the graduate. Under the current regulations for the design of higher education educational programs, there are uniform requirements in terms of competencies (UC and GPC) corresponding to the level of education in general or to an enlarged group of training areas. The selection of specialized professional standards and the determination of the corresponding professional competencies, on the formation of which the educational program should be focused, assumes the author’s approach of the developers of educational programs and falls within the competence of the educational organization exclusively. Universities that train teachers have the right to include professional competencies aimed at individualizing mathematics education for students in special educational categories, including schoolchildren with high-level mathematical abilities in the graduate competency model. Such a target structural element corresponds to a special labor function established by the professional standard of aneducator, aimed at the developmental activities of the teacher. In the course of the study, the goals of methodological preparation of a future mathematics teacher to work in non-standard conditions with special categories of students requiring the organization of individualized training were determined. Approaches to the formation of a target competency model of a graduate in the constructed methodological system for training a future mathematics teacher are substantiated. The article presents the results of approbation of the proposed target competence model on the basis of Orel State University named after I.S. Turgenev (hereinafter referred to as OSU named after I.S. Turgenev) within the framework of a two-level (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree) teacher training system. The approaches to building the target component of the methodological system for preparing a future mathematics teacher proposed in the paper are based on the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of general education and are determined by the request of the modern school for the teacher who knows the methods and technologies of individualized mathematics teaching. The constructed methodological system is designed to solve the objective contradiction between the need for such teachers and the generally accepted methodology for preparing a mathematics teacher in a university, the reference point of which is the “ordinary, average” student. | 6635 | The article explores the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing be-tween Persian (Afghanistan) and English. Code-switching refers to the phenomenon of switching between two or more languages within a single conversation, while code-mixing involves the blending of languages within a sentence or utterance. The study focuses on two specific communicative settings. One is informal spoken communication, the other is and literature. To conduct the research, the data was collected from a group chat involving 30 students studying English Language and Literature at Balk University’s Faculty of English in Afghanistan. The group was created to discuss academic and non-academic issues informally. The messages ex-changed in this group chat serve as a case study for analyzing informal conversational communication. Additionally, the novels of Khaled Hosseini, an American author of Afghan origin who is fluent in both Persian (Afghanistan) and English, were chosen as examples of literature. Khaled Hosseini has gained international recognition for his writings. His works often explore themes of identity, family, love, loss, and the impact of political turmoil on individuals and society. The paper be-longs to the specialty 5.9.8. Theoretical, applied and comparative linguistics (philo-logical sciences). | 6636 | The article features the comparative characteristics of the main heroine in L. Ulitskaya’s novel The Kukotsky Enigma and combines two topical approaches: the functional-semantic approach, connected with the text explications of units in the functional-semantic field “comparativeness”, and the gender-linguistic approach. The second approach actualizes feminine-oriented comparatives, namely: the forms of the images of comparisons (comparatives of equality) and the forms of the signs of difference (comparatives of inequality), the “targets” of which are explications of the external and internal appearance of Elena Kukotsky. The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the structural and substantive diversity of the comparatives involved in the character’s thematic grid of Elena, identifying the author’s idiostyle features. We use the primary linguistic description (collection of materials, classification and interpretation), as well as contextual and transformational methods. Appeal to the chronotopic, discourse and sensory levels in the comparative characteristics of Elena, we can see her various manifestations in life, the polysemy of the heroine because of different attitude expressed by other heroes and the narrator, her self-expression, the variability of her assessments. An important role in the discourse representation of the heroine “from the inside” is played by Elena’s notebooks, in which feminine-oriented comparatives participate in the expression of her self-criticism, linguistic creativity, fantasy in the use of occasionalisms, unexpected metaphorical images, including expanded ones. The comparative character’s grid of Elena is represented by a wide variety of comparisons of quality (comparisonassimilations and metaphors) and comparatives of inequality (forms of degrees of comparisons of characteristic words and forms of subjective assessment of quality). In front of readers there is a visual, odor, auditory (the sensory level) appearance of this young woman, charming by her fragility; it is difficult to imagine her face; readers themselves draw her portrait. In the comparative characteristics of the heroine, first of all, her inner appearance (moods, joyfulness, but for the most part difficult experiences, value proposition in her picture of the world) is explicated. The participation of the comparatives in the creation of the image of Elena manifests their pronounced text-forming function, with the particular use of the approach “the correlation of trops and realia”. The results of the analysis contribute to the systematization of knowledge about the expressive ways of comparatives in the language of artistic texts; and their description makes a definite contribution to the theory of imagery. | 6637 | Introduction. The investigation of the vocabulary of the Selkup language results from actual tasks of modern linguistics aiming at description of endangered languages and the increasing interest to study of archaic and stable components of the vocabulary, revealing the peculiarities of material and spiritual life of people. The article considers the results of the complex structural and semantic analysis of a part of the vocabulary referring to the names of parts of the human musculoskeletal system. Material and methods. The books of field notes made by A. P. Dulson, dictionaries of the Selkup language written by Russian and foreign authors, including works on phonetics and etymology as well as books on the Selkup culture provided the material of the research. The complex approach determined the use of a set of methods at the research. The main methods are descriptive, comparative and comparative historical. The secondary methods are the method of componential analysis, the method of linguistic reconstruction of a culture and the quantitative method. Results and discussion. According to the structure the vocabulary under study has a core lexeme *le, lī ‘a bone’ and periphery which is formed by two main types of lexemes: 1) with the component *le, lī ‘a bone’ and 2) without the component *le, lī ‘a bone’. The undertaken structural and semantic analysis helped to select and carry out a holistic study of 51 names of the parts of the human musculoskeletal system in the Selkup language. The somatic vocabulary has specific characteristics. The somatisms have different morphological structures; 6 simple names were formed in the Ural period of word-formation process of the Selkup language; most of simple and some derived names are polysemic; simple names have derivatives belonging to different parts of speech and they are used not only to denote parts of a human body; the motives of nominations of some somatisms has been revealed; the names of three parts of the human musculoskeletal system reflect some elements of spiritual culture of the Selkups. Conclusion. The names of the parts of the human musculoskeletal system, being ancient in their origin, active in word-formation, polysemic and reflecting information about culture and world-view of the Selkups, prove that the parts of a human body that they denote are not less important to the representatives of the Selkup culture than any other. | 6638 | Introduction. In the present article the interaction of four constituents of the academic class in the foreign language is studied, according to the ideas of Ye. I. Passov: 1) the cognitive; 2) the developing; 3) the educational and 4) the academic aspects. The class is organized on the methodology principles of perseverance and associations, which are explained in details while solving lexicography problems in finding the common seme of the word in the semantic cell on the examples of the English and the French languages. The integral approach to the methods of holding the class enables the tutor to achieve the academic goals of the class in the dynamic and logical way, focusing from time to time on different sides of the lesson. The and global aim of the language class and the academic process, in general, is to educate a person to the professional, independently thinking personality, which can be achieved only in constant mental (the interiorized action) and communicative practice. The aim of the present article is to show the close interrelation of different tasks of the class, put forward by the outstanding Russian methodist Ye. I. Passov, stressing the dictionary work and the work with the foreign lexis, when the educational process is teacher-centered. Material and methods: lexicographic analysis, comparative method, etymological excursion, method of associative links, integrative interdisciplinary approach. Results and discussion. Each global aspect of a foreign language lesson is analyzed on the example of the experience of practical lessons of the authors of the article in terms of the effectiveness of changing various types of work. The necessity of vocabulary associative work in mastering a foreign language is shown as the aspect that is most free from the frames, such as personal associations, the organizing, conducting role of the teacher in the educational process. The need for constant communicative practice of learning a foreign language is highlighted. Selforganization, self-discipline and self-esteem of students come to the fore in any academic work. Conclusion. Solving communicative problems of the class in a foreign language is represented as possible, basing on the principles of integration, perseverance and associations, creative thinking within the cognitive, developing, educational and academic tasks of the lesson. The problem of professionalism in working out independent creative thinking will be always topical in pedagogy and methods of teaching. | 6639 | Introduction. The article deals with the ways of studying the subject results of primary school students by the teacher at the lessons of the Russian language. Aim and objectives. The aim of the paper is to study components of diagnostic activity of the teacher. Material and methods. The methods of the research are comparative and descriptive analysis methods. Results and discussion. The author of the research is studying the components of diagnostic activity of a teacher. Based on the survey of teachers, their position on diagnostics and the use of its results in the methodical organization of the lesson was revealed. It is noted that teachers often use the results of written work performed by children, which allows them to find out the quantitative characteristics of the quality of mastering the subject actions. It does not consider the individual difficulties of children in mastering the method of performing the task. While the establishment of difficulties and the causes of their occurrence involves an appeal to the individual survey of children, the results of which will allow the teacher to discover the problems of their own activities in the methodical organization of the lesson. Specific spelling paper describes the technology for constructing individual conversations with children, ways of interpreting the information received, the reflective action instructional activities in lesson structure. Analyzing the results of the conversation, the teacher refers to the search for their own “flaws” in the choice of didactic material, involving children in the learning process. Conclusion. It is concluded that the teacher’s mastery of diagnostic tools in assessing the quality of the subject actions of students contributes not only to the change in the quality of the methodical organization of the lesson, but also shows its research’s position in professional activity. | 6643 | Introduction. The growing popularity of online learning has led to the emergence of many online learning platforms and courses, which makes it difficult for students to choose them. Thanks to the promotional videos, the potential listener can quickly understand the benefits of a particular course among the many available options. There are differences between promotional videos on different online education platforms. These differences relate to the ways of presenting promotional and informational material. In this study, we set a goal of identifying the optimal linguistic techniques in the advertising support of the linguistic educational resources. During the study, a comparative analysis of Promotional videos on two platforms “Education in Russian” and “Stepik” was carried out. The factors that determine the differences in the Promotional videos are revealed. Firstly, both platforms have different requirements for authors. Secondly, platforms are distinguished by their format (pictures, presentations, and visual series). Differences in the format determine the stylistic difference between the texts presented in the videos. The authors use their speech elements of different language styles: book-written and colloquial. This is especially evident at the lexical level. Promotional videos on two platforms “Education in Russian” and “Stepik” act as a “navigator” in the course, making it easier for the listener to choose one or another suitable course. | 6644 | Nowadays the line between the mediagenres has become increasingly blurred. For this reason genre hybridity is an important and relevant feature of media texts. This paper focuses on description of the features of the genre structure of TV quiz show, which determine genre hybridization. The major objective of this study is to investigate types of hybridity. The research material is outlets of the Russian quiz shows “Clever girls and clever boys” and “What? Where? When?” on Channel One. We consider TV quiz show speech genre as communicative event intellectual game realization. Hence, we draw on Borisova I. N. communicative event conception and linguopragmatic method. According to linguopragmatic method, within the scope of our discussion are the communicative situations of the game, corresponding to its stages, and the role relations of communication partners, including situational-role variation of speech. The results indicate that quiz show is a very clear example of hybrid media genre. Quiz show has such types of hybridization as genre, discursive, polycode and polytext hybridity. Genre hybridity is due to hypergenre nature of quiz show which implies the inclusion of a number of subgenres in its structure. Discursive hybridity is a result of the combination of sports, judicial, didactic and entertainment discourse. Polytext hybridity is the combination of precedent texts and the use of stylization. Polycode hybridity is characterized with the interaction of various sign systems. In summary, hybridization of quiz show determines manifestations of new genre features, such as a trend towards symmetry of communication and intimization; tendencies to role variation of the television anchorman’s speech; trends towards polylogue use; stylization trends. The scientific novelty of the research is putting to use the new notion “discursive hybridity”. Keywords: discourse analysis, media discourse, speech genre, hybrid genre, quiz show | 1492 | |||||

The problem of functioning of pronouns of the 3d person sing. is being solved on the basis of cognitive linguistics, from the point of which any linguistic research is impossible without taking into account a personal perception, empirical experience accumulated during all person’s life and social, physical and language environment. The gender category reflects a definite phenomenological knowledge (animate – inanimate, active – passive objects, person – non-person, masculine – feminine sex) of a language speaker who is treated as a subject of perception, a “naive” categorist of a surrounding reality | 1491 | |||||
| 6646 | Functional literacy formation is a new educational result of Primary education, fixed in the federal state educational standard (new edition). Functional literacy is based on subject and meta-subject results. Basis for achieving subject and meta-subject results is shaped in 1–4 grades. Therefore, the relationship between a functional literacy formation process and a subject and a meta-subject results achievement is a relevant problem. Research group of the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University identified meta–subject co-ordination and interdisciplinary integration as conceptual foundations for the functional literacy formation at a primary school. Extracurricular activities provide time resources for meta-subject coordination and inter-subject integration. Functional literacy formation at the primary school can be considered a result of students’ proximal development zone since functional literacy has traditionally been studied as an educational result of adults and youth. Consequently, primary school students’ functional literacy formation is possible if it is based on an individualized teacher and students’ interaction in actual and proximal development zones. The individualized interaction acquires significance in inclusive classes for mental retardation children and children without developmental disorders. The fact that the same action methods correspond to students without developmental disorders actual development zone and mental retardation students’ proximal development zone specifies this kind of training. The purpose of the research is to work out theoretical grounds, to develop an extracurricular activities program, to study materials for the course, and to conduct an experimental verification based on the studied difficulties in mastering the primary general education program by mental retardation children and children without developmental disorders. The research contributes to the relationship development between general and inclusive education. The research specifies an individualized interaction technology between a teacher and students in the areas of actual and proximal development. The effectiveness of this technology has been proven. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the developed course and a set of study materials for it can be used in other educational organizations that implement primary general education programs. The author identifies three levels of mathematical information processing: the level of typical algorithms (for example, calculating the value of an arithmetic operation), the level of typical strategies (for example, solving equations) and the level of methodology (for example, the choice of a mathematical language for solving a task). Work at the level of typical algorithms and the simplest strategies of activity can be carried out without a deep understanding of the phenomena involved. But work at the level of strategies, and even more so, at the level of methodology, already requires understanding. We propose to interpret the term “understanding” as a system of associations with a mathematical phenomenon, i.e., concept, theorem, strategy, decision, etc. With a formal-constructive interpretation of the model, the considered interpretation of understanding includes the “creation of meanings” and other components of understanding. To control the completeness of the system of associations, it is proposed to apply the classification of associations with a phenomenon: 1) as an object or product of modeling activity (prototype, image and an interface, i.e. a system of information exchange between a prototype and an image); 2) as with a tool or operations; 3) as the management system and its components (with the motive of activity, with typical goals, with typical strategies and, in particular, algorithms, with systems for evaluating the adequacy of the model). The conditions for the success of the formation of priority associations among students are indicated: 1) adjustment of educational and methodological support; 2) adjustment of control and measuring materials; 3) purposeful formation of basic associations and, in particular, learning to translate information into different mathematical languages; 4) multi-aspect positioning of the studied phenomena relative to the information already learned by the student. | 6648 | The relevance of the study is due to the need to study the creative heritage of N. Erdman, a world-famous playwright, in full. The article examines for the first time the unpublished text of the “representation in one act” “Telemachus”, created with the participation of N. Erdman. The purpose of this work is to identify the features of the organization of the action of the play, the expressive possibilities of the comic, actualizing the problems of Soviet society at the turn of the 1920s-30s. The text of the play “Telemachus” by V. Mass and N. Erdman as a research material was studied based on the works of V. Ya. Propp, V. M. Zhirmunsky. General scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization were used, as well as such specifically literary criticism methods as typological, phenomenological, historical-functional methods and the method of descriptive poetics. The analysis of the play “Telemachus” in the context of the review of “The Odyssey” by the same authors reveals the authors’ travesty development of not only a fragment of Homer’s story, as indicated by the title, but also the story of the choice of the groom in the version of Gogol’s “Marriage” as well-known cultural models. The characters of V. Massa and N. Erdman with ancient names in Telemachus speak in hexameter, the sharper and more obvious in the actions of the protagonist, in the speech formulation of his requirements, in the means of achieving the goal, the manifestation of domestic socio-political reality at the turn of the 1920s and 30s. The travesty of fragments of the Homeric poem makes it possible to actualize the processes taking place both in the individual consciousness and in modern society. The dramatic action of the play of 1930 reveals the unrestrained desire of the main character to command, to subjugate others to direct events in a direction favorable to himself. As a result, the private is transformed into the state, the personal into the ideological, the foundations for creating a family and the normal existence of people are being destroyed. An analysis of the behavior of the characters and events of the play “Telemachus” reveals the logic of the changing and accepted by others demands of the main character to the mother and her suitors as a process of unstoppable assertion of an authoritarian ruler. Consistent development, transformation-travesty of a well-known plot - fragments of the Homeric poem in “The Odyssey”, “Telemachus” and other works by V. Mass and N. Erdman of the late 1920s – early 1930s. allows us to see these authors among the first creators of the epic drama of a conventionally metaphorical direction. Keywords: N. Erdman, V.
