| 1262 | The topicality of this research is determined by anthropocentrism of modern humanities knowledge, compliance with the new cognitive-discursive paradigm, insufficient knowledge on poetic worldview of O. E. Mandelstam in the course of his creativity. Conceptual analysis makes it possible to make out subtle details in the author’s works that have not been studied before. Also, the analysis allows us to describe peculiarities of the poet’s perception of the world in this or that period of his work; to reveal features and means of representation of the key concepts in his poetic worldview. The aim of the article is to examine one of the key concepts of the works of O. E. Mandelstam – the concept “music”. Based upon M. L. Gasparov’s periodization of the poet’s creative work, the poetic texts of the early period of the author’s creative work (collection “The Stone” (1913)) are analysed. The choice of this concept is determined by its significance and a major role in the poet’s life. Results. As a result of the conducted research it was revealed that verbalization of the concept of “music” in Mandelstam’s early creative work has an individual author’s character. This statement has been proved thanks to the following procedures: – comparison of the usual meaning of the lexeme “music” that is shown in dictionaries (definition and associative ones) with that of the author. As a result, it has been revealed that there is a broadening of the basic, usual meaning in the author’s worldview by means of building-up of new senses (music not only has the sound incarnation; the absence of sound or silence is also a kind of music that can only be heard by a person with a special mindset); – highlighting several directions of associating (music – silence – sleep; music – the fundamental principle; music – hope for salvation) and their detailed analysis based on the most typical poems of the early period Mandelstam’s creative work and included in the poet’s first collection of works “The Stone”. – the analysis of the lexical structure of the author’s poetic texts in which the concept is reflected (highlighting of the main means of representation of the concept “music” and the text paradigms that are part of the association area of the analysed unit of the author’s sphere of concepts). Conclusion. The conducted research is significant in terms of concretization of the author’s individual style and his poetic worldview. | 1268 | The article is devoted to one of the modern aspects of the Russian-Chinese linguistic interaction – Chinese advertising signs in the Russian language, a common border with Russia in northeastern China, in Heihe. The article presents a linguistic analysis of Chinese advertising signs in the Russian language, developed by native Chinese speakers, for their conformity to lexical-semantic norms. The purpose of this article is the interpretation of lexical interference as a cause of a violation of the lexical norms of the Russian language in the texts of Chinese signage in Russian. Thus, on all levels of the language system of the Russian and Chinese languages in their interaction in the texts of advertising signs of the border city of Heihe there were observed interlingual, and in some cases intralingual interference, reflecting a typological distinction of the interacting languages. The interference leads to a linguistic mixture of different elements (phonetic, lexical, grammatical) in the texts of advertising signs in the Russian language, which illustrates the «Chinese Russian language». Considering interlanguage and intralanguage interference in the texts of Chinese signage in the Russian language, we are attracted to study both forms of the contact languages explaining interference phenomena introduction as Chinese and Russian. Thus, the phenomenon of lexical interference in texts of advertising signs on the territory of the Chinese border city of Heihe, is largely the result of the interaction of contacting languages (Russian and Chinese), resulting in disturbances of lexical norms of the Russian language in them. | 1269 | The article deals with the theater in the pedagogy of Philipp Melanchthon, primarily on the material of his prefaces and comments on the publications of Terence in 1517–1519, 1524–1528. and 1545, to which he returned throughout almost his entire career. Early editions were written within the background of his rhetorical reform at the Wittenberg Faculty of Arts, the second edition was prepared as part of the school reform in Saxony (with scholia being compiled) and, finally, the last edition reflects Melanchthon’s experience of studying ancient Greek dramaturgy (the tragedies of Euripides, Sophocles and the comedies of Aristophanes). Despite a sufficient number of scientific publications exploring the indicated sources in various contexts (Melanchthon’s ethics, his ideas about ancient drama, etc.), the article focuses on Melanchthon’s idea of theater as pedagogical practice. Analysis of the sources suggests that Melanchthon rarely shared the discourses of theater and drama, speaking together about their educational and educational functions. Sharing theological and secular knowledge into categories of Gospel and Law, Melanchthon considered it necessary to study ancient literature, philosophy and drama in particular as valuable “stories” which are rich in examples of universal human ethics and give pictures of various socio-political activity (speeches, meetings, council meetings, etc.). This idea was developed by him in his numerous works on ethics and theology. Modeling of the educational process in Melanchthon’s school based on the scholia to Terence allows us to suggest that the study of texts in the classroom was built primarily around grammar exercises and the study of expressions and vocabulary. Then his conviction of Melanchthon in the use of theater/drama for ethical and social up-bringing, along with the mentions of productions in his texts, suggests that the theatrical activity was that tool of the formation of ethics. Of course, Melanchthon was far from specific understanding the educational functions of the theater, but the practice of staging was laid in his method as an educational practice. We propose in this sense to talk about the theater in Melanchthon’s pedagogy as an anthropological practice. | 1291 | Introduction. Relevance of the research is determined by the interest of modern linguistics and translation science in search of effective ways of preserving author’s individual style in translation. Aim and objectives. The present paper attempts to discuss A. Bromfield’s ways and decisions to render the principal features of V. O. Pelevin’s individual style in “Generation P” postmodernist novel. Materials and methods. The research is based on two text sources: the Russian original text of “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin and its English version “Homo Zapiens” (transl. A. Bromfield). The methods applied are general scientific (observation and description) and linguistic (text analysis, comparative analysis). Results and discussion. Rendering of author’s idiostyle features is one of the basic tasks of literary translation. Novel “Generation “P”” by V. Pelevin’s, marked by intertextuality and syncretism of style and narration characteristic of Russian postmodernist paradigm, strikes the reader with own specific eclecticism, word play, multi-layered picture of reality, plentiful quotations and allusiveness. The challenging attempt of Russian-English literary translation by British interpreter A. Bromfield, trying to restore V. Pelevin’s idiostyle principal features manifested in plexus of expressive means and stylistic devices, is discussed in the article. Conclusion. In authors’ view, some minor flaws in rendering of V. Pelevin’s idiostyle may be caused by incompleteness of comprehension of “Generation “P”” text, loaded by multifaceted linguistic affluence of style. The most sensitive omission for the author’s idiostyle is probably zero translation of English insertions as principal features of Pelevin’s bilingual narration, as well as the decision to neutralize some colloquialism. These others may be divided into benign such that Konstantin aspired to their characteristics, values and beliefs (a process of idealistic-identification), or malign when he wished to dissociate from their characteristics. | 1297 | On the material of the novel “Teacher of fencing” by А. Duma and memoirs of P. Annenkova the author examines the semantics of the image of the decembrist’s wife expressed in the culture of the second half of the 19th century. The specificity of functioning of this type of woman personality comes to light in artistic and autodocumentary discourse. In addition, the analysis is carried out in a comparative aspect: the variants of the Russian and French reception of the decembrist culture and the image of decembrist’s wife are compared. In Russian literature maintenance of the concept of decembrist’s wife is based on spiritually-moral descriptions: oblatory love, devotion, loyalty, patience, courage. The ethical markers of this woman type are genetically related, on the one hand, to аutodocumental tradition of description of a wife, sharing the fate of the “disgraced” (often exiled to Siberia) spouse; and on the other hand, ascend to canonical character of a righteous wife, characteristic of the hagiografic genre. In the novel of А. Duma the beloved of the decembrist I. Annenkov is represented exceptionally in the field of love and love plot, and the chronotop of the novel is limited to the space of intimate history. Thus, the love of the character is interpreted by the teller only as a display of a strong woman passion and is not connected with the spiritually-moral categories of debt, sacrifice, etc. The image of the woman character in the Duma’s novel substantially differs from its prototype (P. Аnnenkova) and from the heroic type of woman personality presented in the Russian literature. | 1298 | In the twentieth century the literature for children creates its own tradition of using of crocodile image. Korney Chukovskiy pioneered the use of this image. His version of the character has become very well known, researchers have linked it with the manifestation of the spirit of St. Petersburg. In the second half of the century, the authors repeatedly use the image of crocodile. It makes sense to refer literary works that explore this type, such as a book by K. A. Bogdanov “About crocodiles in Russia. Sketches from the history of borrowing and exoticisms” (2006). This animalistic exoticism reflects the intention of poetry to express the absurd, paradoxicalness. The latest Siberian literature for children also uses this exotic image. We explore texts of poems by several autors of contemporary Siberian poetry for children such as Bergelson, Sirotin, Eroshin, Olear in order to illustrate changes in the mythology of crocodile, and in the deployment of this icon. Conflict of friend-or-foe is developing in the regional literature. Rare animal loses its naturalistic features. In poems this monster is able to evolve constantly. This paper presents the typology of the different animalistic signs, describes the process of image formation. It is an attempt to develop a theoretical basis for the perception of this image. The study concludes that the image of crocodile expresses many symbolic meanings of particularly convincing way, with preservation of artistic and emotional integrity. | 1299 | The article deals with the advisability of using Russian slang units in the speech of native speakers with the aim of realizing successful interpersonal and social communication with native language persons. A full understanding and mastering of the lingo stratum of the language is necessary for entry into the Russian youth communicative space and for the implementation of the strategy of linguistic self-identification and adaptation in foreign-language space with active interaction with native speakers of language and culture, especially young ones. Jargonisms are defined as nonliterary lexical units with significant functional potential realized in the course of independent attempts to interpret their semantics by secondary linguistic personalities in the context of their existing background linguocultural information, as well as in situations related to the use of jargon in their own speech in the process of interaction with Russians carriers. The creation of background information is facilitated by the regular demonstration of videos from various Russian youth shows and television series on Chinese websites. Acquaintance with these video materials determines the penetration of Chinese carriers of Russian jargon, especially those used by young people. The factors that determine the cases of inadequate interpretation by foreigners of the semantics of Russian jargon and the features of their functioning in everyday communication are analyzed. Among them are the following: differences in the culture and mentality of the Russian and Chinese peoples, the inadequacy of the lexicographic base, and a small number of actual educational materials that meet the modern educational requirements, and the lack of systematic knowledge of the specifics of the slang stratum among most inophones and its place in the structure of the national language.
