Pervova A.V. INTERTEXTUALITY AS A CATEGORY OF THE TEXT AND AS A METHOD OF THE VIOLATION OF ITS INTEGRITY (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 10 (151). P. 24-28

The article deals with the conception of intertextuality as a category of the text and as a method of the violation of its structure. The paper analyzes the peculiarities and the causes of usage of this stylistic device in the artistic text by the example of the novel by A. Dцblin “Berlin Alexanderplatz”. The key role of intertextuality in the montage technique is elicited and proved in works by authors of the postmodernism period. In the present article it is also taken an attempt to give a clear definition of this linguistic phenomenon and related terms, to mark forms of expression and degrees of markedness of intertextuality on different levels. It is proved that its identification and understanding in the text depends on the background knowledge of the reader.

Trushkova L.O., Grigorova L.E. METAPHORICAL IMAGE OF EMOTIONAL STATE OF DISAPPOINTMENT. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 10 (163). P. 36-40

The description of human inner world is conditioned by special features of anthropic perception of the reality. In the language conceptualization of emotional states there is a special place for metaphorical representations based on sensory associations caused by one or another emotion. The image of any human emotion has a complex of multiple fold conceptual metaphors in its base. The category of emotional state of Disappointment is considered to be the part of semantic space of human inner world which is reflected in cognitive metaphors. The research task involves differentiation and description of specific types of the metaphorical models actualizing the emotional state of Disappointment in the English perception of the world. The analysis of empirical material enabled to distinguish four models: sensorial, anthropomorphous, zoomorphic and nature-morphic metaphorical models. It is stated that with a variety of conceptual features, the integrity of the image of disappointment is built up on the combination of different feelings.

Grekova M.V. IMAGES OF DISHES IN RUSSIAN METAPHORICAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD (COGNITIVE-DISCURSIVE AND LEXICOGRAPHIC ASPECTS). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 2 (179). P. 18-24

The article analyzes figurative words and expressions that show the metaphorical character of dishes. The analysis is based on the theory of figurative language and combines the semasiological and cognitive approaches to the description of figurative language units that implement conceptual metaphorical and metonymic models through the system of their meanings. The motivating names for figurative words and expressions are 52 units including diminutives and word-formation: bottle, fork, spoon, mixer, bowl, knife, pepper, glass, plate, cup, etc. These names motivate 225 figurative lexical and phraseological units: “bochka” (very fat person), “kuvshinka” (waterlily), “kak myska” (about round and convex shape of something), “proyti kak nozh skvoz’ maslo” (easily, without difficulty), etc. Described figurative words and expressions represent metaphorical projection from the source-sphere “Dishes” to the 9 target-spheres (“Person”, “Artifacts”, “Nature facts”, “Social phenomena”, “Space” and others) associated with the figurative characteristic of the physical and non-material world, each of which is described in the article in detail. The greatest number of figurative words and expressions denote the phenomenon of reference to the following areas: “Person” (80 units), “Artifacts” (62 units), “Social phenomena” (46 units), “Nature facts” (16 units). The final part of the article is devoted to the lexicographic description of figurative vocabulary that reflects metaphorization of dishes in the Russian language and includes examples of dictionary entries.

Babakina T.N., Zhukova N.S. PECULIARITIES OF TRANSFORMATION OF MODAL SEMANTICS OF THE VERB MÜSSEN IN GERMAN. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 56-60

The research of means verbalizing the modal semantics, and in particular of modal verbs remains urgent in modern linguistics as they express modal values of the possibility and need which are ones of the most important in the cognitive and communicative relation. In its turn, cognitive and communicative needs of society remain variable and that causes semantic function extension of the language means, which are constantly to respond to the needs of society noted above. In this regard the semantics studying of the verb müssen is especially significant. The purpose of the research presented in this article is to reveal specifics and to define the mechanisms of the past and current semantic changes of the verb müssen that have ensured its development as a modal verb according to cognitive and communicative needs of the German society. To that effect the original Old, Middle, Early New and New High German texts were studied. In the selected examples from the given texts by means of the method of semantic interpretation and using the method of contextual analysis the meanings of preterite-present verb müssen functioning as modal verb in the correspondent periods of the development of German language were determined. Due to the consistent usage of the method of comparison and collation in the process of analysis of the meanings their similarities and differences were determined. For more detailed reflection on the transformation development tendency in the semantics of the verb müssen appearing in modal function the methods of mathematical statistics were also used. As a result of the conducted research semantic peculiarities of the verb müssen functioning in various periods of German were specified and the mechanism of the past and current changes is defined. The basic semantic transformation mechanism of the verb müssen into both modal objective and, from Early New High German, into modal subjective semantic is context-induced reinterpretation.

Polyakova N.V. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MODERN QA TOOLS FOR WRITTEN TRANSLATION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 4 (222). P. 51-61

Introduction. Special tools for assessing the quality of written translation – QA-tools (in English Quality Assessment) find common types of errors in the target text according to pre-programmed formal signs. The initial condition for these tools is the availability of the source and target texts. The program compares the corresponding sections of texts (paragraphs, sentences or segments) and marks all sections with suspected errors, forming a special report. The goal is to compare QA modules integrated into automated translation programs and independent QA tools. Material and methods. Methods used in the research on QA modules integrated into automated translation programs and independent QA tools include general scientific methods (logic methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization); specific scientific (linguistic) methods: descriptive, comparative. Results and discussion. The advantage of QA modules integrated into the automated translation programs such as SDL Trados, SmartCAT, Déjà Vu, MemoQ and Wordfast is the ability to monitor the quality of translation without using additional software and time resources. The translator is already familiar with the interface of the program in which he works, and can edit the text in it immediately after checking. QA modules integrated into automated translation programs can be used to assess written translations of different themes, however, the functions of the SDL Trados program are the most optimal for working with stylistically colored texts. The main advantage of independent QA tools for assessing the quality of translations such as Xbench, QA Distiller, Verifika, ErrorSpy and Linguistic Toolbox is the absence of the need to install complex and resource-consuming CAT programs for proofreaders, editors and managers of translation projects. Conclusion. QA tools have their advantages and disadvantages. The main advantages of modern QA-tools are: optimization of routine quality checks of the target text at different stages of its readiness; the ability to customize individual quality criteria for each project; reduction of the total duration of the translation project; ensuring uniformity of the target text, minimizing errors, etc. The disadvantages of QA tools are: the need to spend additional resources (additional time and hard disk space in case of installation on a user’s computer); the high cost of programs and a limited set of functions in case of using free or demo versions; the need to study the interface and configure the program for different projects; detection of a large number of potential errors, not all of which are real errors.

Keywords: translation, quality assessment, specialized quality assessment tools

Polyakova N.V., Khomenko S.E., Luzik O.A. Confrontational strategies and tactics as a means of representing speech aggression in political communication (based on Olaf Scholz’s speech). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 4 (234). P. 84-92

Nowadays, political communication uses a whole range of confrontational speech strategies and tactics aimed at discrediting opponents in an information war, as well as imposing their point of view and forming a certain public opinion regarding discredited objects. A confrontational strategy provides the speaker with the opportunity to express a negative attitude towards his opponent, hostility and willingness to enter into conflict to achieve his own goals, ignoring the goals and interests of the other side. A confrontational strategy involves retreat and even violation of moral and ethical norms. Confrontational speech strategies include strategies of submission and persuasion, discrediting. Each of the strategies is implemented using different speech tactics. In order to effectively counter the threats of negative information impact, it is necessary to identify the speech strategies and tactics used by the German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, which determines the relevance of the study. The purpose of the research is to study the confrontational strategies and tactics in O. Scholz’s speech, affecting a mass audience and aimed at discrediting both the image of Russia itself and Russian foreign policy. The source of the research material was Olaf Scholz’s keynote speech, which he delivered to the German Federal Government on February 27, 2022. This speech was the FGR reaction to the beginning of a special military operation by the Russian Federation. Descriptive and comparative methods along with contextual analysis techniques, as well as definitional, semantic analysis were used to achieve this goal. The article analyzes two confrontational strategies used by Olaf Scholz: discrediting, submission and persuasion. The discrediting strategy is used more often than the strategy of submission and persuasion. The following discrediting tactics have been identified: accusation, negative forecasting and polarization. The strategy of submission and persuasion is objectified with the help of threats and orders. Confrontational tactics act both autonomously (in isolation) and in combination with each other (combined).

The peculiarities of gaining identity and nomination strategies, as exemplified by open letters presented on special sites, are described. Despite the inherent anonymity and carnivalization of communication process in the virtual discourse allowing transformation using speech masks and visual images, authors of the open letters voluntary refuse anonymity and desire to exhibit “Real Self”, emphasize the value of individuality, save the unique face in the era of total globalization. It is explained by the fact that open letters are ego-texts, bound by the author “Self”, which acts as the center of generating ideas, feelings and actions. It is concluded that the leading strategy for the authors of the open letters in the virtual discourse is virtual reconstruction of personal identity.

Zinn M.A. Typologically Significant Features of the Verbal Derivational Categories ‘Iterarive’ and ‘Semelfactive’ in Ket.. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 4 (55). P. 156-161

The purpose of the paper is to highlight the main features of the category of distribution in time and determine the basis for typological analysis of the selected Ket verbal derivational categories. On the one hand, the main semantic features of the Ket category of distribution in time are considered, on the other hand the attention is paid to the means of the description of these features. The analysis presented in the paper shows that the main feature of the semantic category of the verbal quantity is the split into two derivational patterns. The first pattern ‘iterative’ includes the opposition of multiplex and full-cycle verbs, the second pattern ‘semelfactive’ involves only one semantic class of verbs (sound production verbs), moreover it is based on the oppositions within two cognitive categories plexity and state of boundedness.

In peat soil number of the microorganisms assimilating organic and mineral forms of nitrogen, their parity, production СО2, correlating with number of given microorganisms, a cellulose mineralization are defined by a number of factors: a hydrothermal mode, presence of nutrients in the form of NPK and spontaneously present at peat N-NH3, a competition from plants at assimilation of nutrients. Results of definition of number of microorganisms methods of direct consideration under a microscope and crops on nutrient mediums have the alternative character, confirming opinion that number of microorganisms not always reflects their activity. Higher indicators of biological activity in residual peat under grown up cereal grasses, in comparison with a native soil, testify to an intensification in it of destructive processes

There are various different descriptions of Randall-Sundrum (RS) braneworlds. Here we present a unified view of the braneworld based on the gradient expansion approach. In the case of the single-brane model, we reveal the relation between the geometrical and the AdS/CFT approach. It turns out that the high energy and the Weyl term corrections found in the geometrical approach merge into the CFT matter correction found in the AdS/CFT approach. We also clarify the role of the radionin the two-brane system. It is shown that the radion transforms the Einstein theory with Weyl correction into the conformalty coupled scalar-tensor theory where the radion plays the role of the scalar field.

The article is devoted to the problem of folklore motives and their language representation. In folklore studies the following motives are distinguished: birth and death, three kingdoms, big house, marriage, enchanted forest and magic escape. The latter is one of the most popular motives not only in folklore but also in literature. The author resorts to the classification of magic escape forms introduced by V. Propp: magic escape alongside with throwing things/objects, magic escape connected with transformations, magic escape and pursuit. Special attention is paid to metamorphosis due to which characters can transform into different animals or birds (a horse, a wolf, a swan, an eagle, a hawk, a loon, a bear, a ruff) or objects (a ring, a straw, a needle). The characters of a runaway (a young man) and pursuer (a witch, a sorcerer) are studied. The article makes distinction between fairy tale plots and compositions in Russian and Selkup folklore. Some common and peculiar features are found. Magic escape motive is regarded as one of the oldest, it dates back to ancient mythology and could be found in different folklore traditions. The article presents the experience of comparative analysis of the image of the lyrical hero in Russian and French poetry of symbolism in the aspect of lexical means of explicating the problem of life searches and searching for the meaning of human existence. It is demonstrated that the essence of the philosophical aesthetics of symbolism lies in the knowledge of the world on the basis of the idealistic concept of duality, according to which the world of ideas is considered true, and the real world is recognized as imperfect. The subject of consideration is the specificity of the organization of lexical level units involved in creating images of the lyric hero in the poetical texts of S. Baudelaire and A. Blok. Through the use of lexical-semantic, textological analysis and with reference to the dictionary data it is demonstrated that the rebellious heroes of famous poets perceive life through the tragedy aesthetics of symbolism. The problem of vital searches of lyric heroes Baudelaire and Blok is presented in dynamics and is realized in the context of understanding the philosophical aesthetics of symbolism in general, and also taking into account the characteristics of the author’s worldview. In the comprehension of the problem of life searches of lyric heroes Sh. Baudelaire and A. Blok it is possible to outline both similar and distinctive tendencies. Differences are due to national and cultural characteristics, as well as the specific nature of the author’s picture of the world, which as a whole determined the selection of lexical units in the structure of the analyzed poetic texts.

Introduction. This article presents a methodological reflection of the study of the value-semantic aspects of the representation of the hagiographic tradition in Dostoevsky’s work. Analysis of the artistic anthropology of the writer, ideological searches and spiritual conflicts, which determine the peculiarities of the problem and poetry of his works, allows to see the deep connection with the hagiographic tradition in its understanding of the world and man. The spiritual experience captured in the lives for the writer is not just a genre or pictorial tool, but a deep semantic vector, anthropological and axiological dominant. Material and methods. The material of the study is artistic and journalistic works of late creativity of F.M. Dostoevsky, the ego-documents of the writer, memories of contemporaries. The methodological basis of the study is the axiological approach, which is complex and includes cultural-historical, comparative, structural-typological, and biographical aspects. In the system of views of F. M. Dostoevsky, questions about a person, his spiritual and moral development, value attitudes and ideals are of great importance, are reflected in artistic creation, especially in the novel The Brothers Karamazov and The Life of the Great Sinner, take a basis among the life of the writer, his religious education and religious-philosophical worldview. Results and discussion. The representation of the hagiographic tradition is inextricably linked to the writer ‘s worldview, his system of values. In the system of views of F.M. Dostoevsky, questions about man, his spiritual and moral development, values and ideals are of fundamental importance, are reflected in artistic creativity, especially in the novel The Brothers Karamazov and The Life of a Great Sinner, take the basis among the life attitudes of the writer, his religious education and religious and philosophical worldview. Conclusion. The influence of the hagiographic tradition on Dostoevsky’s creativity is a complex problem both in terms of research aspect and methodology. The study should take into account the deep connection of Russian literature with Christian religious tradition. Tsukanova E.V. LEGAL DISCOURSE IN THE ASPECT OF INSTITUTIONAL SPECIFICITY: LINGUISTIC ASPECT. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 5 (211). P. 96-102

Introduction. The article highlights the specifics of the legal discourse in the aspect of its institutional interdependence and space conceptualization of metaphor terminology. The aim of the article is to identify the interrelation between the SPACE (horizontal/vertical) conceptualization of the metaphorical terminology of the Russian legal discourse and the horizontal line classification by branches of law and the vertical hierarchical system of the Russian legislation system. Material and methods. The legal discourse notion and its specificity is considered through the prism of legislative system branch classification accepted in the Russian Federation. The conceptual structure of the legislation system arranged in the form of the horizontal line classification by branches of law and the vertical hierarchical system of conceptual metaphor representation is realized through the terminology of the legal discourse. Results and discussion. Conceptualization in the field of metaphor terminology directly reflects the conceptual structure of the law branch. Although there is a broad variety of grounds for classification typology, the conceptualization of knowledge structures depends directly on the branch of law. Legal branch metaphor terms are constructs of a particular branch of legal discourse, which transfer special concepts of mentality regarding the objects of a particular branch of legal discourse. Conclusion. The analysis of the specifics of the institutional legal discourse reveals the conditionality and interdependence of the knowledge conceptualization within metaphor modeling in the legal terminology. The nominative means for the concepts system transfer are based on the terminology concept system and are determined mainly by the legal context (i.e. legal branch). The content of the knowledge structures in the legal discourse terminology is determined and influenced by the evolution of the legal knowledge within the framework of language and socio-cultural community.

Pyatkin S.N. ABOUT A POEM BY BORIS SADOVSKOY “MONUMENT”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 9 (150). P. 90-95

The article presents the first experience of scientific interpretation of the poem “Monument” by Russian literary figure of the first half of the XX century Boris Aleksandrovich Sadovskoy (1881–1952). This work, being a part of the last created poetic book of B. A. Sadovskoy “Abode of Death” (1917), is analyzed in the context of the genre tradition of the poem “Monument”, which began with the world literature Horace’s ode “To Melpomene”. It is reported that the latest author reinterprets polemically thematic and stylistic elements typical of the mentioned tradition (ekphrasis, the motives of the immortality of poetry and fame of the poet in the memory of future generations, the “national geography” theme of distribution poetic glory), reflected in the translation and poetic setting of Horace’s odes by M. V. Lomonosov, G. R. Derzhavin, A. A. Fet, G. S. Baten'kov. Special attention is paid to polemic dialogue between Sadovskoy’s “Monument” and a poem by A. S. Pushkin “I have erected a monument for myself...”, which largely determines the structure and meaning of the work of the newest poet. The conclusion is that the B. A. Sadovskoy’s work preserving the main features of the genre traditions of the poem “Monument”: thematic and stylistic elements of epitaph (antapite), ekphrasis, poems-wills, “the last poem” has undoubted potential to rethink this tradition which appear in the poetic practice of later authors (V. In a modern educational organization, information and communication infrastructure is one of the main components of the educational process, which has a wide range of didactic electronic educational resources (ESR) as a practice-oriented tactic for optimizing the educational process. The aim is to identify approaches to improving the efficiency of the educational process based on the use of electronic simulators in the training of future specialists. Material and methods. The main sources of the conceptual design of fundamentally new e-learning resources-educational content, pedagogical tools and innovative forms of its development was the experience of professional training of students of “South Ural State Technical College”, bachelor and master degree students of Professional Pedagogical Institute of Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University in the direction of training 44.04.44 Vocational training in the framework of the specialty “Information Security Management in Professional Educational Institutions”; the process of integrative involvement of employers in the development of electronic media simulators; practical experience of forming practice-oriented professional competences of students. The main methods of research are theoretical analysis of the published material on the integration of the implementation of the ESM-ensure high-quality implementation of the regulations of the federal state educational standards 3 ++ for professional training of bachelors and undergraduates. Results and discussion. We have analyzed the materials of publications on the problem of bringing professional education to the modern needs of the labor market, the main difficulties of which are associated with its rather complex internal semantics, including several significant levels of hierarchy and connections between different types of very fragmented information that is not acceptable enough for making effective decisions, including in the conditions of forced use of distance learning. From the standpoint of reliability theory, it is almost impossible to hope for encouraging results without a scientifically-based approach to development within the framework of qualimetric digitalization based on the use of resources from various content platforms and cross-platform ERM templates. A special role in the light of the often forced use of distance learning belongs to such pedagogical tools as an electronic simulator (ES), designed for the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, and educational-when working out practical skills of students, forming their skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in difficult situations, understanding the essence of the processes and their mutual dependence. Implementation on the basis of CodeRunner plugin (V3.3.0) for Moodle multiplayer FLOOR in the provision of quality of formation of universal and professional competencies of vocational education students in these areas has allowed to reveal that the use of ES contributes to the growth of educational achievements of students, at least 15 %, which, in turn, affects the increase of the level (degree) of the formation of their competence, predetermining improving the efficiency of the educational process, improvement of its constituent elements. Thus in addition to increasing the average educational achievements of students still recorded an increase of 18 % and median characteristics, then there is a corresponding decrease in the proportion of students with high handles in replies to questions of control tests. Effective modernization of the educational process of pedagogical professional education, in our opinion, largely depends on the integrative implementation of the use of innovative platforms of various architectures and cross-platform templates of EOR-educational content of pedagogical tools, based within the framework of the modern teaching paradigm on the conceptual provisions and methods of pedagogy, measurements, mathematical modeling and scientific and analytical statistics of the qualimetric approach. The article analyzes the trends in the use of electronic educational resources (EER) to improve the practice-oriented component of the component of professional education. One of the directions in the light of often forced distance learning is the use of media content of electronic simulators (ES), designed to form the skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in complex situations, understanding the essence of the processes on the basis of the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, educational in the development of practical skills of students. Conclusion. The resource capabilities of verifying the variants of content platform architectures and cross-platform templates of such educational tools of EOR as ES, as well as innovative forms of their development and implementation, allow us to hope for encouraging results in finding ways to improve the efficiency of the educational process of professional educational organizations (VET), timely leveling of the contradiction between the requirements of employers of the modern post-industrial society and the level of formation of professional competencies of VET graduates.

Authors studied an impact of selective ligands of cannabinoid (CB) receptors on the contractility of the isolated perfused rat heart during global ischemia and reperfusion. A perfusion by solution containing the selective CB-agonist HU-210 exacerbated a cardiac contractility dysfunction. This cannabinoid decreased the left ventricular developed pressure, the maximal rate of contraction and relaxation of the heart during reperfusion but had no effect on the heart rate and the end diastolic pressure. Negative inotropic effect of HU-210 was transient and disappeared after 5 min reperfusion. The pretreatment with the selective CB1 receptor antagonist SR141716A and the selective CB2 receptor antagonist SR144528 had no effect on the myocardial contractility during reperfusion. In conclusion, the present results indicate that CB receptor stimulation can exacerbate reperfusion contractility dysfunction of the heart. Endogenous cannabinoids are not involved in the development of myocardial contractility dysfunction during ischemia/reperfusion of the heart.
