Bodrova A.S. Traditional Costume of the Native Peoples in Siberia as Reflection of the Empirical Mentality. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2004. Issue 4 (41). P. 85-90

In this article we study traditional costume of the native peoples in Siberia on the basis of the analysis of some empirical element in the human mentality typical of traditional culture. The production of costumes is conditioned by the climate and some natural peculiarities of the area; it is also characterized by a rational approach to the choice of materials. In the process of our investigation we found out some similarity in the constructions of costumes. The costume represents an adaptive way of transformation of some existing forms of costume. This transformation is possible due to some natural cultural conditions as a result of cultural diffusion and the development of new cultural forms. The rational element s in the costume construction performs some practical functions and is conditioned by some naturals in the life of the ethnos.

Yan K. THE WAYS OF EXPRESSING SURPRISE IN THE ARTISTIC TEXTS OF IVAN BUNIN RELATED TO THE CHINESE TRANSLATION: ETHNOPSYCHOLINGUISTIC ASPECT. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 2 (191). P. 121-126

This article is devoted to consideration of ways of conveying surprise in the artistic texts of I. A. Bunin compared to the translations into the Chinese language. From the point of view of cultural forms associated with the expression of emotions, traditions of transforming culture can be in different positions in relation to the source. In the present work, three groups of investigated units were singled out: 1) a way to express emotions in case of coincidence of the original and of the translating cultures; 2) a method of expressing emotions in the case of partial matches between the original and translating cultures; 3) a way to express emotions in case of discrepancy between the original and translating cultures. In Bunin’s fiction the emotion of wonder is expressed in three ways: nominative; descriptive; actually emotive. Translation of a literary text is inevitably exposed to the influence of the interpreter’s national picture of the world because of its conditionality to the language and culture of the people. In addition, the translation of a literary text helps to better understand the national, cultural-linguistic sense of the art work, and in several respects reveals the native Chinese speakers’ language picture of the world.

Sergeyeva M.A., Khokhlova A.M. MICROBIAL BIOMASS AND ITS ACTIVITY IN PEAT BOGS OF SIBERIA. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 2 (155). P. 143-149

The authors studied soil microbial activity in oligotrophic, eutrophic and mesotrophic peat bogs of Siberia by method of substrate-induced respiration (SIR). Intensity of microbiological processes depends on the type of peat bogs and hydrothermal conditions. The average for vegetation period 2013, the highest microbial biomass was observed in oligotrophic peat bog of Vasyugan (4,16 mcg/g dry peat, with limits – 1,66–8,28 mcg/g d. p.). The minimum value of microbial biomass was recorded in mesotrophic peat bogs Kutushskoe (3,29 mcg/g d. p., with limits 0,78–6,94 mcg/g d. p.). Eutrophic bog Tagan on the microbial biomass took an intermediate position (middle – 3,74 mcg/g d. p., limits – 0,41–13,43 mcg/g d. p.). Investigated bogs can be arranged in the following order of intensive basal respiration: eutrophic bog Tagan > oligotrophic bog Vasyugan > mesotrophic bog Kutushskoe. The article is devoted to the research of autobiographical miniature stories of the modern writer Angelika Sumbayeva. Classical works (M. Bakhtin, L. Ginzburg etc.) give the ideas of typological signs of poetics of autobiographical prose of the childhood which are observed in A. Sumbayeva’s prose: psychologism, retrospective view, lyrical modality of the narration caused by the attitude of the storyteller towards the hero. At the same time the volume of a miniature causes features of A. Sumbayeva’s prose: laconicism of descriptions, accuracy in selection of details; transfer of psychological state through nuance, details. The article alalyses in detail the cycle of the stories published in 2010 in the magazine for children “A Yellow Caterpillar” and built according to calendar chronology (winter, spring, summer). In miniature stories the features of art space come to light (including, the use of attributive features of the Siberian region, its climatic originality), functions of gesture, nuance, phrases in the transfer of a psychological portrait of characters, narrative techniques which form the author’s attitude towards the autobiographical character (for example, use of the narration in third person, but transfer of attitude of the child associating reality with the fantastic world through the direct speech). In miniatures there is an image of the natural world of Siberia in general, and the autobiographical image appears as typical, given in circumstances, recognizable, familiar to the Siberian reader. Miniatures of Angelica Sumbayeva recreate the world of childhood as a harmonious, open to the new, capable to take a miracle to transform the ordinary into the world of fairy tales.

Matveyev A.V., Gilbert A.U. Students' Gender Contradictions and Stereotypes in the European part of Russia. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2002. Issue 3 (31). P. 94-98

This article considers the problem of various conflicts, arising out of contradictions, having various psychological origins. The author distinguishes three main groups of such conflicts: the intrapersonal, interpersonal and intergroup ones. Two main strategies applied in the process of conflict solution are analyzed: «the evening-out strategy* and «the provocation strategy ». Both cannot be recognized as flexible enough and universal, since, as з rule, they are based on certain social and psychological prejudices and stereotypes. The experimental part of the research is aimed at discovering gender distinctions in the social and psychological preferences and stereotypes, concerning the notions of masculinity and femininity, characteristic of students of a pedagogical university. The obtained data show that in the examined sample group the ideology of masculinity is presented by more traditional, typical and rigid notions, while the characteristic of femininity differs much, being more polyhedral, differentiated and dynamic. Probably, changes in the feminine gender stereotype agree with the dynamics of the social and economic changes in Russia more than changes in the masculine one. This can be considered as one of the reasons for men to be characterized by a lower level of social adaptation.

Russian society is in need of the people that quickly adapt to the changing world, are capable for continuous selfeducation and self-improvement. Therefore, the quality of subjectivity becomes the leitmotif of the educational process at the university. The fullest development of this quality can be the result of reflexive cognitive activity. The article offeres an idea of level representation of cognitive educational activity of the student: operational activity - cognitive activity – reflexive activity – individual activity. It is based on the transition of the subject from one mode of interaction with the text of the cultural reality to another. Reflection is the basis, the means and the result of cognitive activity of the student. One important feature of the construction of the educational process with regard to the level structure is a non-technological approach to it. Educational practice is the practice of creative interaction with the student, which gives rise to his own mechanisms of interaction with the culture of the text. Meremkulova T.I. THE TYPOLOGY OF BORROWED GALLICISMS IN THE CONTEMPORARY LITERARY GERMAN LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 11 (188). P. 90-95

The article provides a typology of borrowed Gallic words within the contemporary literary German language based on a grid of criteria allowing a most holistic description of the symptomatic phenomena inside the borrowed Gallic stratum: 1) on the lexical-semantic criterion, 2) on the assimilation specificity, 3) on the way of borrowing, 4) on the method of derivation and 5) composition. For the first time such typological phenomena as re-borrowing, reverse borrowing and formal-structural accommodation, as well as former pseudo-Francization, are interpreted. Typology refers to the structural-systematic features of the studied lexical stratum. The selection of types of borrowed Gallicisms in the modern German literary language involves a number of theoretical and methodological difficulties. This is due to the volatility of the proposed taxonomic criteria, on the one hand, and difficulties in determining the status of borrowing, in particular, in the matter of delimiting it from the concept of a “foreign language”, on the other. The typology of Gallic borrowings functioning within the German literary idiom is of great importance for synchronous codification practices and general lexicography. Appeal to the issues of assimilation (adaptation) of this vocabulary segment of the German literary idiom is inevitable due to the multidimensionality and multilevel processes of integrating the Gallic heritage into the system of the German literary language. The historical unevenness of assimilation determines the existence of only synchronous taxonomic set that testifiesto the dynamism of the studied processes in the canvas of the historical development of the German literary language.
