| 3903 | In the last years in linguistics the problem of speech genres is actively studied by many researchers. Despite the intensive development of genres studies, the question of definition of genre is still open. Following Mikhail Bakhtin, who introduced the concept of “speech genre” the linguistics continues the development of the theory of speech genres. Based on the proposed by Tatyana Shmeleva profile speech genre, which includes seven genre characteristics (communicative purpose, author's image, the addressee’s image, communicative factor of the past, communicative factor of the future, linguistic incarnation), we consider imperative speech genres in the A. P. Chekhov’s 125 letters written by him in the period in the 1890 year. In order to express the imperative mood Chekhov uses specialized and unspecialized forms. The most typical forms of expression are presented in the tables that show the features of imperative speech genres in Chekhov's letters. There is also given amplifying speech accompanying components the imperative form of expression. In the group of specialized forms of expression of the imperative (the form of the 2nd person singular and plural; first person plural; 3rd person singular and plural) the second person singular and plural forms occupy the leading position. The unspecialized forms of the imperative of expression observed in the construction of a performative ask. It was also noted that the imperative speech genres in Chekhov's letters, expressed in the first place, a request (direct and indirect), advice, and suggestion. Anton Chekhov prefers the description form of expression of a direct request. | 3907 | The article reveals categorical opposition of logic and a language. The language and logic appear as two different Interacting moments which organize the text. Its imply principles of expression and understanding. The language is directly phenomenal and it is a source of expression as such. Logic lets us understand the sense of the language and return that naive expression to that inner sense. Mind is mainly logical order and it leads spontaneity of the language to the conceptual and categorical unity. Art is mainly lingual phenomenon and replaces clear and unity of logic by a play of expressive lingual relations. Speech is a sphere of logic dialectical synthesis of logic and the language principles. A settled language is energically melted by speech whereas speech is penetrated with logic so that logical connections of the language are created there. This living language creation in its logic points is a specific feature of art. Art is improvising thinking related directly to internal phenomenality of sense. | 1589 | |||||

| 3914 | In the present study I make specifi c claims about the borrowing of structural categories and the impact of such borrowings on structural typology. I argue that certain linguistic strategies for clause combining are readily borrowed and that massive borrowing of these categories can result in structural change so extensive/signifi cant that the result is typological shift. Eurasia has long been identifi ed as a particular type of language typology. Early typological studies [1] identifi ed correlations between verb-fi nal word order, postpositions, relative clause before the noun, and, signifi cantly for the present study, subordinate clause before the main verb. Subsequent studies have shown that these correlations are statistically signifi cant only in Eurasia, suggesting that Eurasia is itself a zone for areal typology [2]. Siberia is an important part of that zone, and the indigenous languages of Siberia, are OV (namely the Mongolic, Tungusic and Turkic languages, Chukchi, Itelmen, Nivkh, and Yukaghir, as well as the Eskaleut languages). In the present paper I argue that the Siberian languages are undergoing typological shift as a result of contact with Russian, a change which began prior to language attrition which is now well underway for many if not all of the indigenous languages with small numbers of speakers. | 3919 | The article puts forward a model of studying a n artistic image in national poetic linguoculture. The model comprises three levels: сharacter-contextual, linguopoetic and conceptual. Each of the levels offers research into different layers of the image. The first level aims at describing character repertoire of the image, the second level focuses on its linguostylistic characteristics and the third level provides research into its conceptual content. Application of the model contributes to understanding of a literary image as a complex phenomenon – a projection of three semiotic systems: poetics, language and culture. Thus, each of the model layers is characterized by its own methods of research. Contextual analysis is a dominant method of research on the first level. At this stage of analysis major focus is given to constructing contextual setting of the image. Thus, the following structure of integrated imagological context is proposed in the article. Names of characters and their second naming varieties constitute its nuclear zone, speech portraits represent its central zone and a peripheral area comprises narrative portraits. Quantitative and linguostylistic analyses dominate on the second level of imagological research. At this stage the analysis is split in two parts: research into lexical specifics of imagological contexts and its stylistic peculiarities. A conceptual analysis is used on the third level of imagological research and it aims at establishing links and means of connecting the image to national culture through a notion of linguocultural concept. | 3920 | The article deals with one of the key trends in the study process at a technical university – a professional-focused direction in foreign languages teaching methods, the aim of which is to form a foreign language competence in the professional field. The authors consider the significance and multidimensionality of this problem in a technical university educational process, in particular, in training of correspondence students. The authors presume that professional-focused training can significantly enhance the motivation of the students to master a foreign language, since they realize the practical benefit of this knowledge for their future successful professional functioning. The experience of working with correspondence students at a technical university, monitoring their language needs, allows the authors to present a model of professional-focused English language teaching, the key characteristic of which is the creation of the actual teaching and methodological support of the discipline „Foreign Language“. The authors‘ opinion is that the actual content of the discipline will contribute to the realization of the language needs of the students and will help in their future professional activities. The authors generalize their experience of creation of the professional-focused textbooks in the English language which provide learning efficiency; note that texts material is related to the specifics of future professional activities; the semantic and linguistic availability of professional-focused texts is intended to form a system of concepts related to basic professional knowledge, to activate students’ cognitive activity. | 3921 | The article deals with the problem of teaching foreign students of Russian scientific speech as the most important means of educational and professional communication in a Russian university. It points to the specifics of the training of foreign students of Russian scientific speech at the Pedagogical University. Attention is drawn to the problem of teaching Russian scientific speech of foreign students at the stage of pre-university training. The use of the adaptive potential of the method of teaching the scientific style of speech is suggested, the concept of «scientific speech of subject areas of pedagogy and subject methodology» is actualized. It is understood that the creation and use of an educational complex for teaching scientific speech in classes with foreign students of a pedagogical university helps to increase the effectiveness of the educational process. It is proposed to design a textbook on teaching of scientific speech for foreign students of a pedagogical university, the theoretical and practical educational material of which is set out in a modular format, supplemented with a set of workbooks. It is recommended to include the description of the lexical, morphological, syntactic, phonetic, structural and compositional features of modern Russian scientific speech in the educational material of the educational complex, adding practical tasks that fix the theoretical basis of the educational material and imply work in pairs and small groups. The recommended for design training complex for teaching of Russian scientific speech should contain guidance for teachers, basic guide to scientific speech, a set of workbooks, a collection of tests, dictionaries, reference materials, that must meet the current requirements of the educational literature. | 3922 | The article considers the functional possibilities of the prezens in German. The analysis was carried out in a diachronic aspect, beginning with the Old High German period and ending with the modern state of German. It is shown what functions were peculiar to the prezens at the time of its formation, which appeared in later periods and which are used at the present stage of development of the given language. For this purpose have been studied the literary monuments of the Old High German and Middle High German periods, the Germanic epic Nibelungenlied. The modern functional potential of prezens is studied on the basis of German newspapers Die Welt and Moskauer deutsche Zeitung. The article uses as the main descriptive, comparative-historical, quantitative methods of investigation. The urgency of the work is due to the ambiguous approach in linguistics to the functional differentiation of the German prezens. In this article its most frequent functions are scientifically substantiated and described. In these German-language newspapers a frequent phenomenon is actual, usual and futuristic prezens. Culturologically, this situation is due to the fact that the Germans attach great importance to the present, and they are characterized by their aspirations for the future. In addition, in modern publicistic speech a tendency is revealed that consists in the combined functioning of prezens in the interaction of frequency functions. The conducted research as a whole expands the scientific understanding of the functional significance of the prezens in the German language. | 3923 | Introduction. The article deals with a question of the discursive status of forensic medical examination texts, the existence of a separate sub-discourse of the forensic medical examination, which is at the intersection of medical and legal discourses, and its place in the typology of institutional discourses. The need to distinguish the discourse of forensic medical examination as a separate subtype of discourse, the description of its model and the study of it as a multidiscourse phenomenon is due to the peculiarities of the interaction of the two institutional discourses with a high level of formalization and ritualization. The aim of the article is to determine the status of the forensic medical examination (SME) as an area of social, professional and textual activity, its place in the typology of institutional discourses. Material and methods. The model of describing the institutional discourse of V. I. Karasik was chosen as the main methodological dominant. This is due to the fact that the studied area belongs to the sphere of institutional interaction, and the fact that this model allows one to identify own discursive parameters at the stage of initial analysis. This theory of discourse analysis makes it possible to define categories such as “participants of communication”, “conditions of communication”, “organization” and “methods of communication”. The material for the study was the full texts of 10 opinions of forensic doctors with a total volume of more than 100 pages, taken at a professional forum of forensic doctors of Russia in the section “Consultation Center”. Results and discussion. Communicators in the field of forensic medicine have a different status than participants in medical or legal discourse. The main type of communication is the type “doctor-forensic scientist – the examined”. Communication places are medical and legal organizations, as well as scientific organizations and events. The goals of the forensic doctor as a participant in the communication “forensic doctor – the examined” go back to legal discourse, while the strategy used is medical. The nuclear genre of discourse is the opinion of the medical examiner, which applies to both legal and medical discourse, and also contains a large number of discursive formulas, stable and specific. Conclusion. The main parameters of communications in the field of forensic examination correspond to the models proposed by V.I. Karasik, however, is not reduced to either legal or medical discourse. Based on the results of this study, a forensic medical examination may qualify for the status of a specific interdiscourse area. | 3925 | Introduction. The use of poetic texts as didactic materials is an effective method of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This study aims to describe the methodological and linguistic aspects of interpreting perceptual semantics in poetic works by Marina Tsvetaeva. The interpretation of literary works in perceptual terms facilitates understanding these works’ messages and provides an opportunity for studying and applying units with the meaning of perception in communicative practice. Material and methods. The material for the study was poems by Marina Tsvetaeva with a pronounced semantics of perception (270 poems, 547 contexts). The main research methods were the linguo-stylistic analysis of the texts, the conceptual and semantic analysis of the keywords, and a linguocultural commentary. Results and discussion. When selecting poems for lessons in a foreign-language audience, it is essential to take into account the students’ cognitive interest, the principle of accessibility, and the principle of the methodological value of the poems for studying. When interpreting texts and analyzing perceptual images, foreign students encounter lexical, grammatical, stylistic, and linguocultorological difficulties. By successfully overcoming the difficulties, students perceive the messages and the emotional tonalities of the poems. The titles of certain poems set “perceptual dominants” conceptually expressed in the further semantic development of the text (“V Sumerkakh” [At Dusk], “Luch Serebristyy” [Ray of Silver], “Nochnye Shepota: Shelka . . .” [Night Whispers: Silk . . .], etc.). Tasks on the analysis of perceptual images and the linguo-poetic analysis of poems must be formulated in accordance with the main stages of the lesson. The actualization of skills and abilities involves the use of individual perceptual experience and information available to students about literary texts. Pre-reading tasks aim to capture the readers’ interest and encourage them to be creative (conceptual guess and comparison). Reading tasks aim to analyze the means of expressing perceptual images at the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic levels of the poem. The focus is on keywords with perceptual semantics. Post-reading tasks aim to generalize and interpret the material. Conclusion. The linguo-stylistic analysis of poems by Marina Tsvetaeva in terms of perception allows foreign students to present one of the options for interpreting the texts using their linguistic and sensory experience. The students understand the functions perceptual units perform, observe the implementation of direct and figurative meanings of keywords, and see how the author expresses her intention at all the levels of the texts. | 3926 | Introduction. Nowadays linguists are increasingly interested in studying the terminology of professional sublanguages from the point of view of a cognitive approach. Cognitive frame modeling of terminology systems is becoming relevant being an effective way of representing the terminology of a special sublanguage. The aim of the work is to create and describe the cognitive frame model of the terminological system of the subject area “Building materials” in modern Russian. Material and methods. The material for the study is the terminological units of the subject area “Building materials”, selected from lexicographic sources on construction, regulatory documents, scientific papers, commercial catalogues of construction products, and professional internet websites about construction. The research methodology is based on general scientific and linguistic methods of descriptive and comparative research methods, including methods of linguistic modeling, framing, definitional, oppositional analysis as well as quantitative analysis. Results and discussion. The article identifies the main concepts of the frame approach to the study of terminology. The theoretical basis and interpretation of the concept of frame are presented, the frame structure used in this paper is developed. The work presents the frame model of the term system of the professional sphere “Building materials” in Russian. The paper defines the main subframes of this field: “Wood Materials”, “Ceramic Materials”, “Stone Materials”, “Glass Materials”, “Metal Materials”, “Cement”, “Concrete”, “Construction Mixes”, “Binders and Materials”, “Polymer Materials”, “Isolation Materials”, “Roofing Materials”, “Finishing Materials”. The analysis reveals the hierarchical frame structure, consisting of 13 subframes with their subsequent division into slots, micro-slots, and semantic groups. The study presents a detailed description of the subframe “Wood Materials” and the micro-slot “Composite Wood Materials” as well as semantic groups that are part of them. Various types of semantic relations between the terms representing the cognitive-frame model of the term system “Building materials” are revealed. Conclusion. The cognitive-frame model of the term system “Building materials” allows to present a hierarchically organized system of knowledge about a given subject area in a structured form and to identify system relations between the components of the term system. The presented fragment of the frame model illustrates the intra-system relations of the terms that verbalize it. The results obtained are of interest for terminology studies and can be used for educational and lexicographic purposes. Stating the set of conditions is based on summarizing empirically the activities of the center for students’ employment. Modern researchers’ approaches to defining “organizational and pedagogical conditions” are presented. Apart from others is the group of researchers analyzing organizational and pedagogical conditions as a set of factors. Also, the article reveals the point of view of researchers who think that organizational and pedagogical conditions are a set of some schemes. Separately we analyze research works by scientists who think that in the definition of “organizational and pedagogical conditions” there are two sensible components: organizational conditions and pedagogical conditions. Results and discussion. Analyzing issues and summarizing empirical experience, it was specified that under organizational conditions we will mean factors that guarantee controlling the process and pedagogical conditions will be understood as factors including content, methods, means, forms of teaching, upbringing that provide achieving pedagogical goals. In such a case, putting together organizational conditions and pedagogical conditions into one set used for achieving one mutual goal will result in organizational and pedagogical conditions together. On the basis of it in Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Tomsk State Pedagogical University” we made up and tested a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions contributing to students’ professional self-determination. Conclusion. There has been put forward the definition of organizational and pedagogical conditions contributing to the professional self-determination of students of a pedagogical university, including students with low motivation for pedagogical profession, that can be used as a basis for the activities of university centers for students’ employment.
