Kataev M.J., Kataev S.G., Korikov A.M. ABOUT APPLICATION OF THE AVATAR TECHNOLOGY IN PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL ELECTRONIC EDUCATION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 11 (152). P. 187-192

The description of the concept of electronic training by means of technology of avatars is provided in article. Basic elements of this concept are connected with application of virtual reality and possibility of the pupil-teacher interaction in the avatar-avatar or the pupil-avatar formats on the basis of the elements of artificial intelligence. The functions used in this system have to provide full maintenance of training in the discipline chosen by it. Implementation of this concept will allow not to completely replace the main traditional forms of education, but to diversify training elements, and also to make this process highly technological.

Pavlovskaya I.Y., Sedelkina Y.G., Tkacheva L.O., Nasledov A.D. PSYCHOSEMANTIC RESEARCH IN VISUAL PERCEPTION OF CROSS-LINGUISTIC SOUND-ICONISM BY RUSSIAN SPEAKERS OF ENGLISH: A LINGUISTIC PERSPECTIVE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 4 (193). P. 147-153

Beginning with a brief survey of the latest developments in the field of phonosemantics the article looks into psychological basis of sound iconism by investigating the reactions of Russian speakers to English sound-iconic words. The experiment with the use of the Lexical Decision method is described and the results are tabled. The subjects – 90 Russian learners of English at different proficiency levels – were asked to identify as words or non-words stimuli of three types: a) sound-iconic English words, b) non-iconic (neutral) English words and c) quasi-words. All stimuli were presented visually in random sequences in a compressed time frame. The criteria for selecting the stimuli were thoroughly elaborated. The results of the experiment show a statistically veritable delay in identifying the sound-iconic stimuli as words. It remained constant, regardless of the English language proficiency level of the participants. Presumably, the cognitive complexity of the task increased because of a certain interference between the two ways of information processing: abstract-conceptual and sensory-symbolic. This influenced the speed and accuracy of word recognition. Another factor leading to errors might stem from the fact that the sound forms of the English visual stimuli, as they were reproduced by the subjects in their inner speech, did not coincide with their associations in Russian, which made them «think twice» before answering.

Stamikova E.A., Rusanova O.N. DIPTYCH BY OSIP MANDELSHTAM “I GOT LOST IN THE SKY …”: MODULATIONS OF THE LYRICAL PLOT // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 9 (206). P. 136-146

The research contains an immanent analysis of the lyrical microcycle of the late period of work by Mandelshtam “I got lost in the sky – what shall I do?”. The creative world of the diptych is analysed by the authors of the article in dynamic aspect, in connection with the stages of the development of the lyrical plot of search of the true way. Special attention is given to not only poetics (figurative language, prosody aspects), but also to interpretations of intrinsic antinomies reflecting world outlook dominants (sky – earth, life – death, eternal – present and others). Besides, the literary allusions playing an important meaning-forming role in the poems by Mandelshtam are revealed. As a literary pre-text “The Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri is considered. As a result of a consecutive comparison of the basic images, verse features and logic of expansion of the plot, the main principle of cyclization – modulation of the meanings within the limits of the key topic is found. A similar creative move reflects the uncertainty of reflexions and moods of the poet caused by complex life circumstances. The lyrical hero has an aspiration to renounce “down-to-earth” problems, to find the true way. Familiarizing with eternal art, service to the people becomes the result of this way. The article is addressed to all interested in Russian poetry of the Silver age, in particular in works by Osip Mandelshtam as well as to the experts-philologists, concerned with poetics of a lyrical text.

Keywords: lyrics by Mandelshtam of 1930s, lyrical plot, Dante, meaning-forming text structures

Igna O.N. CLASSIFICATION OF TECHNOLOGIES OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF INSTRUMENTALITY // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 148-153

In spite of the fact that the importance and need for teaching technologies in the educational process (at all levels) is clearly recognized, the precise and universal classifications of teaching technologies (regardless of the subject area) are currently nonexistent. There is a vast variety of names and types of teaching technologies, including numerous authors’ technologies, developed by both creative and professional communities and individual teachers. One may observe lack of system, scientific basis and unified approaches to the classifications of pedagogical, educational and teaching technologies. The author justifies the specifics and the necessity to consider the instrumentality principle in the process of classification of foreign languages teaching technologies, and states the main tools of foreign languages teaching technologies. The principle of instrumentality as the primary basis for the classification of teaching technologies requires to take tools (basis) of the subject teaching into account. The classification of foreign languages teaching technologies may include mono-tool (poly-target), poly-tool (mono-target) and tool-target teaching technologies. Each type of teaching technologies is illustrated by the scheme of implementation model. The third type of teaching technologies (tool-target) is the most accurately and exactly formulated and effectively implemented type. The article includes some examples of technologies of teaching foreign languages based on the principle of instrumentality (evidence from the titles of foreign languages teaching technologies found in the articles published in the well-known Russian scientific journal “Foreign languages at school”). In clause theoretical development of problems of the social state in works of the German doctor of the right, the sociologist and economist Lorentz von Stein (1815-1890)which is the pioneer and classic of the European model “state of social assistance” is discussed. The scientific heritage, especially development of the social doctrine of a society , exactly the basic conclusion about its evolution in a social direction, take the important place in the European and international political ideas, exceeding the bounds of a concrete research object, and space and time of his epoch. The urgency of a theme is caused by a modern active discussion of prospects of paradigms change of the European model of the social state from « the state of the social assistance» to « the state of investments», but appeals of refusing the archaic social policy, which leads to “excessive social expenses” do not find unanimous support. Moreover, it is very important for the post Soviet countries to study origins of “social states”, because the scientific development of a problem only is in the process of beginning.

Polyakova N.V. STRUCTURE OF A SIMPLE SENTENCE: TRADITIONAL AND MODERN APPROACHES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 56-61

The main traditional and modern approaches to the research of a simple sentence structure are considered. In traditional linguistics the simple sentence is studied from positions of the logical, psychological, structural and functional approaches. The logical approach having come from Aristotle’s works operates with terms of logic: a subject, a predicate which are considered as components of a thought structure. The psychological approach goes back to works of neogrammarians. In the psychological approach a sentence is considered as linguistic expression of combination of psychological concepts in perception of a speaker and as the instrument of generation of these concepts and their binding in perception of a listener. The structural and functional approach includes the theory of actual division of the sentence, the theory of communicative dynamism and the theory of informative structure of a sentence. The actual division means division of the sentence into the starting point (basis) of a statement and the core of a statement. According to the adherents of the second theory, there is communicative dynamism in each element of the sentence and the degree of communicative dynamism is directly connected with the status of this element in the theme and rheme structure of a sentence. According to the third theory, informative structure of a statement and thematic structure are different, though they are interconnected by the levels of communicative and semantic structure of a statement. The researches on syntax in cognitive and functional aspects as well as study of the sentence structure from positions of generative grammar are widely spread in modern linguistics.

Keywords: simple sentence, structure, communicative division of a sentence actual division of a sentence, informatiove structure of a sentence, argument structure

Kolomiyets T.I. Globalization and Regionalization as Trends of Modern World Development // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2003. Issue 5 (37). P. 25-27

The article concludes that the factor of globaliza¬tion has an important meaning in the disclosure of cau¬ses and models of reginalization. It shows that the trend of globalization intensifies the transfer to the acknow¬ledgment of the principle of people sovereignity and security of nation and a citizen. States are trying to compensate negative conse¬quences of national economics openness and forming internal regional education. In western countries the search of combined solution of problems and forma¬tion of institutes that are adequate to the tendencies of globalization and regionalization is carried out. Regio¬nalism becomes a motive force in power institute ref¬ormation and the basic factor of federalization. For Rus¬sia where real federalism has not been formed yet, it is very important not to allow the transfer of regionaliza¬tion into regionalism that causes the phenomenon of separatism. The role of local government should be increased and equal social guarantees for people should be created.

The article reflects the results of studies of emotional intelligence (EI), coping strategies and behavior patterns of students of secondary school aged 14–15. The highest prevalence is low emotional intelligence – 51.4 % of respondents, and only 6.7 % of students – high. There is the relationship between the components of EI and the patterns of impaired functioning. Low level of empathy increases the likelihood of social problems. The higher is the level of emotional intelligence and its indicators, the lower is the risk of manifestations and problems in emotional and behavioral areas. Highlight the links between the applied coping strategies and components of EI. Students with high and average EI increasingly choose adaptive coping mechanisms, in contrast to the group with low levels of EI, using increasingly less effective strategy. The lower is the level of EI, the less frequently are used coping strategies in a stressful situation, both adaptive and non-adaptive, and consequently, the higher is the risk / manifestations of behavioral and emotional problems.

Pipich P.V. PHYSICS OF OSCILLATIONS AT THE COLLEGE OF INFORMATICS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 8 (185). P. 68-77

Numerical methods allow to circumvent the difficulties associated with lack of mathematical knowledge among the college students who are required to study physics. Using elementary numerical methods the models of various oscillating systems are built. A pendulum, a piston moving in a cylinder under the effect of pressure difference in a cylinder and a material point oscillating around the circumference under the action of elastic force, show a qualitatively different dependence between the amplitude and period of oscillations. Through the numerical solution of differential equations of the mathematical package MathCAD studied the motion of Kapitsa pendulum with a non-trivial restoring force. Construction of two - and three-dimensional graphs in MathCAD is applied to combine mutually perpendicular oscillations and obtaining Lissajous’s figures. Self-oscillating systems are presented in the form of models of the RC- oscillator with three-tier phase-shifting circuit negative feedback and the Wine’s oscillator. An example of relaxation oscillator is the model of the multivibrator on the dynistors. At the heart of a computer model of the generator on the tunnel diode is the use of current-voltage characteristics of N-type containing a section with negative resistance. The material may be used in the process of teaching physics at advanced level in secondary schools and junior courses of higher educational institutions.
