Pushkareva Y.E. ITALIAN PAINTING IN THE CREATIVITY OF V. F. ODOEVSKY: THE IMAGE OF MADONNA. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 7 (184). P. 134-139

The article examines the issue of Italian painting reception in the creativity of V.F. Odoevsky at the levels of images, motives, allusions. This issue is associated with pictorial art as a challenge for Odoevsky. Italian art in his prose is connected with a creator’s destiny: his …, insanity, unrealized … Art and creativity express chaotic and irrational part of the human nature, forming opposition with philosophy. The image of Italian Madonna is interpreted as an aesthetic and etic ideal of beauty. Odoevsky’s perception in this aspect corresponds with perception of the Lubomudry in general. This idea of perfection reflected in the images of wise and beautiful women playing the role of Muse. In aesthetic conception of Vackenroder the same image creates ties between art and religion. Madonna is identified in short stories “Vicenzio and Cecilia”, “The improvisator”, in stories “Silphide” and “Black glove”. Odoevsky uses ideas of German romanticists and Zhukovsky, but reconsiders them. For example, Cecilia embodies not only beauty, but also spiritual independence. The picture with Madonna in “The improvisator” expresses motive of beauty damaged by analysis and rationality. In the image of Siphide Odoevsky combines features of Venus, the divine of love and beauty painted by Botticelli, and Cristian Madonna. “Black glove” demonstrates absence of Madonna (line of Maria) in modern world. In conclusion, interpretation of Madonna’s image is included in Italian text system of the Lubomudry. However, Odoevsky adds to this text individual features typical of his philosophical prose.

Keywords: the Lubomudry, Russian romanticism, Italian text, the image of Madonna

Dubskikh A.I., Butova A.V., Zalavina T.Y. THE VERBALIZING MEANS OF POSITIVE SELF-PRESENTATION IN THE “STAR” INTERVIEW. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 4 (193). P. 53-58

The paper is devoted to studying the communicative and pragmatic foundations of personality self-presentation and its significance in the process of communication. In modern society the intensification of communicative processes demands considerable resources from a person to govern the impression. The development of mass communications and political technologies increases the importance of governing the impression and constructing one’s own image that is not only a mean for various kinds of manipulation, but is a necessary element of self-realization for every person. Most researchers of self-presentation note the man’s aspiration to create a positive image is formed by tactics of emphasizing positive information. The implementation of the tactics in the “star” interview suggests the demonstration of positive characteristics, outstanding leadership skills, and the ability to overcome difficulties, the source of creative inspiration. The texts of the “star” interview are analyzed from the various ways of verbalizing the tactics of emphasizing positive information. The spectrum of lexical-semantic and syntactical means, conducive to positive selfpresentation of the public person is carefully analyzed. The practical value of the work is determined by the possibility to use its provisions and conclusions for preparing training courses and special seminars on communication, cognitive linguistics, pragmalinguistics, and image.

Kositskaya F.L., Matyukhina M.V. ON THE QUESTION OF THE SPEECH GENRE DIFFERENTIATION OF THE FRENCH SCIENTIFIC MEDICAL DISCOURSE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 4 (193). P. 133-137

The French medical discourse refers to institutional discourses and results from the interaction of a number of other discourses, such as advertising, medical academic discourse, legislative (legal) discourse in the field of medicine, scientific medical discourse and the actual medical discourse. It is characterized by polyphonic inclusions of social, historical, pharmaceutical, encyclopedic discourses. The article deals with the French scientific medical discourse and its genre palette. The concept of «genre» originates in antiquity being many centuries-old. The «Father» of the term «speech genre» is M.M. Bakhtin, who created the theory of speech genres, which under the influence of a new paradigm in linguistics has undergone same changes in its development, but still remains in demand. Modern linguistics does not have an exhaustive classification of speech genres. There are many definitions of the speech genre depending on the trend of the study. We consider that, the speech genre is a model, a canon, a relatively stable thematic, compositional and stylistic type of expression. Due to the heterogeneity of genre forms are different: macro-genre (hyper-genre), complex genre, nuclear genre, subgenre. The article deals with written speech genres of the French medical scientific discourse such as «the monograph» as a macro-genre and «the scientific article» as a nuclear genre.

The manipulative effect of military collocations is in distortion of information and false informing of the addressee. Such an effect is aimed at creating circles of «theirs». Military collocations performing informative function are used to denote types of military equipment and weapons, the amount of financing in the development of defense industry of NATO member countries, the scale of military power possessed by European countries that are regarded by NATO as «ours». The informative function of collocations is based on the nominative value of the units forming the collocation. The article points to research of language representation of a media communicative universal – a law of pragmatically and intentionally conditional variety of textual activity in interpretation of informational reason in mass media. Media communicative universal is defined by the author as a law and its realizing principles of textual organization, which reflect informational reason as an element of media communication and meet the criteria for frequency and repetition. Specific character of actualization of textual activity variety in interpretation of informational reason in mass media on the example of media text in the genre of news was revealed. Based on the news materials from the informational portal “Echo of Moscow” on the launch of intercontinental ballistic missile of DPRK on 28-th of November 2017 as an actual informational reason, the following principles concerning realization of such communicative universal were examined: 1) multivariety of world pictures of different native speakers and translators of information; 2) polyphony of dialogically conditional discursive practice connected with informational reason including change of communicative roles, tactics and strategies of subjects in the process of media communication; 3) social self-representation and creative self-actualization of sources and translators of informational reason in mass media. It was determined that in realization of the law of pragmatically and intentionally conditional variety of textual activity in interpretation of informational reason in mass media the connecting elements are repeated key words and markers of events, which became actual informational reason for interpretation in mass media: toponyms, anthroponyms, names of events, temporal vocabulary, dates, different actualization of space category. Variation in news texts is realized on the level of citation; means of subjective modality expression including social estimation; it’s revealed in actualization of sources of information; in degree of its concretization and peculiarities of different aspects of informational reason’s concentration.

Dubrovskaya N.V. THE SEMANTICS OF THE ATTRIBUTIVE CONSTRUCTIONS WITH THE COLOUR TERM “BLACK” IN THE TAZ DIALECT OF THE SELKUP LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 69-73

This work is devoted to the study of the semantics of the colour terms with the meaning of “black” in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The study of the prosaic folklore texts and lexicographical works showed that the main term for the black color is the lexeme sǟqy (sǟ). It can characterize the color of such objects from the sphere of animate and inanimate nature as: human skin (swarthy, sunburned and color of the bruise), human hair (brunette), plumage of a tomtit, colour of the silver fox, colour of the dense forests, peat, kings of spades or clubs in playing cards, colour of the water in the river (presumably the river of Angara) and the colour of clothing. There are examples of the male personal names, which include the color term with the meaning “black”. This study proposes the construction of the tables that include both objects characterized by the colour term in the Taz dialect and attribute constructions with the terms of colour. The table is accompanied by the comments and allows, on the one hand, to compare colour characteristics within one object, and, on the other hand, to study the semantics of the colour terms for “black” inherented for different objects. Thus, the present study based on the material of the Taz dialect of the Selkup language can serve as a basis for the further comparative studies and be of interest in the typological perspective, which can allow to fix the differences in the structure of the of the given semantic zone in the Selkup dialects.

Konovalenko Y.V. MENTAL SCRIPT OF ‘ARROGANCE’ IN RUSSIAN LINGUISTIC WORLD VIEW. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 4 (201). P. 7-13

The concept ‘Arrogance’ has a complex nature represented by script and image forms. In this article, I analyze the script component of the concept in the Russian language. I analyze the main components of the mental script of arrogant person’s behavior and attitude on the material taken from the National Corpus of the Russian Language. These elements include the agent, causes, action, aim, estimation and emotional components. I use corpus-based linguistics methods and model-based inquiry in my research. The agent is a person. The causes of arrogant attitude and behavior belong to two groups: a wish to oppose oneself to other people and a wish to isolate oneself from them. The more specific reasons for such opposition are ancestry, age, power, place of residence, nationality, wealth, position, knowledge and experience, membership in closed societies, spiritual development, and success. The reason of self-isolation from other people is a fear of possible psychological trauma, which people can cause. Verbs describing arrogant attitude or behavior can either have ‘arrogance’ component in their lexical meaning or be neutral. They characterize manner of speech, gestures, body language and arrogant person’s manner of looking at people. The aim of arrogant behavior is either opposing oneself to other people or selfisolation. The object of arrogant attitude is surrounding people. Estimation and emotional components are contradictory and depend on whether people understand the reason of arrogant attitude or behavior or not. Thus, the script of arrogant attitude and behavior has a double nature depending on the type of cause and aim, but the actions are the same in both cases. A person influences other people with the help of body language and manner of speech. People have a negative reaction to such behavior unless they understand the arrogant person’s fear of possible psychological trauma; in this case, the reaction can be sympathy or pity.
