This paper is dedication to scientific examination of two his¬torical versions of origin of Russian surnames: official (non-ancestral) and informal (public, ancestral). Population-anthroponimic analysis as a scientific - research method was selected. So-called hypothesis of pro-portional representation, which the-oretically has to be performed in the case of justice of official version, has been controlled. Before, on the example of 12000 graduates Siberian Medical Univer-sity has been tested and showed, that in 25 % called hypothesis isn't performed, and it proves an-cestral (public) version of many Russian surnames These investigations were held with the use of 10000 graduates of Tomsk State Pedagogical University. The results prove the made above conclu-sions at a great extent.

Pipich P.V. SYSTEMS OF COMPUTER MATHEMATICS AND SOME QUESTIONS OF TEACHING THERMODYNAMICS AND STATISTICAL PHYSICS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 4 (181). P. 89-95

Computer algebra systems are now ubiquitous in all areas of science and engineering. Mathcad is one of the most successeful and widely used mathematical package. The capabilities of the mathematical package Mathcad are used to compute approximate solutions of different kinds of equations from statistical physics and thermodynamics. Solved numerically the equations in which the unknown enters under the integral sign. The presented examples are of independent interest to the students and teachers that use numerical methods. The equation of heat balance is difficult to solve when the specific heat depends on temperature and this dependence is given in the form of a table. Spline interpolation is applied to solve the heat balance equation in such a case. Debay’s theory of heat capacity of crystals well describes the temperature dependence of specific heat capacities of some substances. The Debay’s theory is used to numerically solve the heat balance equation for aluminium and copper. Distribution Fermi–Dirac can be used for calculations if the chemical potential is known. The chemical potential implicitly depends on the concentration and temperature. It is shown how to numerically calculate the chemical potential. Shows how to solve numerically and graphically an equation arising in the derivation of the Wien’s shift law. With the help of Planck’s formula determines the temperature of the stars having a maximum proportion of radiation in the visible range. Provides the problems associated with the Maxwell distribution. Without the Boltzmann distribution the pressure of the isothermal atmosphere at a specified altitude is calculated.

Lobanova S.V. LEVEL ANALYSIS OF THE ARTIST’S PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE PERSONALITY (ON THE MATERIAL OF INTERVIEWS WITH NATALIA O’SHEA) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 11 (188). P. 61-67

The article deals with analysis of the professional language personality of Natalia O’Shea – a singer, musician, songwriter and leader of the rock-group “Mel’nitsa” (The Mill). The material of research is the texts of the interviews (2004–2017 years). The author of the article describes in detail the three levels of the artist’s professional language personality: 1) the level of professional consciousness; 2) the verbal level; 3) the motivating and pragmatical level. The texts of the interviews give knowledge about N. O’Shea’s views of nature of creative work, things which inspire the artist, her musical and general erudition. Natalia O’Shea considers her creative work as a complicated subjective process of connection of individual impressions and emotions with allusions to literary works, fairytales and myths. The artist compares songwriting with stained-glass window creation, cultivation of flower etc. She notes that her activity as a musician is tightly connected with her scientific interests in philology. Natalia O’Shea knows terminology of music very well. In her stories about songwriting and recording of songs, playing the musical instruments the artist uses not only professional lexis, but different expressive means of language. There are a lot of onyms and a number of citations in speech of the artist. This research is interesting for linguopersonology and communicative stylistics of text.

Zhu Z., Yurina E.A. SYMBOLIC AND METAPHORIC REPRESENTATIONS OF THE CONCEPT “FIRE” IN THE LEXICAL STRUCTURE OF THE TEXT IN M. BULGAKOV’S NOVEL “THE MASTER AND MARGARITA” // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 4 (210). P. 70-79

Introduction. The article investigates the lexical means of the symbolic and metaphorical representation of the concept of “Fire” in M. Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” in terms of their language semantics and cultural connotations, analyzes the significance of this artistic concept for expressing the author’s worldview. The purpose of the work is to investigate the ways of linguistic representation of the concept of “Fire” in the text of the novel “The Master and Margarita”, to identify aspects of their metaphorical and symbolic interpretation at the verbal and conceptual levels, to study the role of this concept in the artistic worldview of the novel. Material and methods. The methodology of work is based on cognitive, linguoculturological and systemicstructural approaches in the study of the figurativeness of the language and artistic speech used in the field of semantics of linguistic units and stylistics of text. The empirical material consists of figurative words and expressions (143 units) which represent the concept of Fire in M. Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita”, as well as fragments of the text demonstrating its symbolic and metaphorical functioning (160 contexts). Sources of definition of linguistic meanings and mythopoetic symbols were published explanatory and encyclopedic dictionaries. Results and discussion. In M. Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” were defined the lexical and textual fund of artistic representations of the concept “Fire”; there were revealed methods and techniques of its textual implementation. The cultural and symbolic meanings of the concept were investigated in the mythology of different cultures. The aspects of the metaphorical and symbolic interpretation of this concept were described in the artistic worldview of the novel “The Master and Margarita”, as well as its role in expressing the author’s intention. Conclusion. The concept of “Fire” is represented in the text structure by a multitude of direct and metaphorical lexical representations expressing various aspects of the manifestation of the fire element through a system of zoomorphic, anthropomorphic, somatic images. Images of fire form the basis for a metaphorical description of a wide range of phenomena of the surrounding world (parts of the human body, precious stones, celestial bodies, everyday objects) and the human inner world (feelings, emotions, conditions). The symbolism of this system of images has deep mythopoetic roots and translates the main meanings of the ideological content of the work.

Vitchenko N.N., Turutina E.S. Ethical and Gender Aspects of War and Peace: the Possible Lines of Research and Teaching // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2007. Issue 1 (64). P. 9-13

Honesty, Openness, Unselfishness, Love, – at the individual, interpersonal and international levels – are the principles, which allow to establish peaceful inter-group communication and to resolve the conflicts, which are making a significant impact on peoples’ lives. The morals is the ground for all kind of human activities, and there must be little doubt that our future itself depends on the level of each person’s adherence to moral principles. As numerous historical examples show, an armed solution to the conflict can only put an end to the violent phase of conflicts but not to resolve them. This is especially clear when we examine the cases of ethnic and gender conflicts. The cardinal change of psychological and moral atmosphere, the formation of principles of global ethics in the system of interstate and interpersonal relations should facilitate the achievement of the final goal of the elimination of such conflicts. The global ethics are based on the idea that our future safety depends on the changes in human culture. However, the modern state of human culture can be determined as one in a deep crisis, and this crisis is first of all a moral one. This observation is of the major global ethics’ humanitarian value.
