Talmy’s typology. The attempt has been made to characterize the Ket language using Talmy’s typologies of lexicalization patterns, as well as D. Slobin’s typology of the expression of motion events. The conclusion has been drawn that Ket belongs to satellite-framed languages (in L. Talmy’s typology), and to high-path-salient but low-manner-salient languages (in D. Today due to advances in science and technology communication of people around the world is expanding and becoming easier. Undoubtedly, the only means of global communication and understanding between speaking or writing people, is the language. Therefore, the study of foreign languages for all sectors of society, including pupils, students, scientists, businessmen, engineers and doctors, is very important. In recent years, in the Islamic Republic of Iran teaching of English and other languages for people with hearing impairments has improved considerably, but still there are a number of problems in this area in institutions, schools and universities in the country. Firstly, the hearing impaired are taught only the English language, and secondly, the imperfection of methods of teaching leads to a decrease in interest of this category of students in learning a foreign language. It is necessary to reform the methods of teaching deaf and hard of hearing people to a foreign language, which will result in increased interest in learning a foreign language and expanding the diversity of the languages studied. This work is the first study on the methods of teaching the Russian language for the deaf and hard of hearing at the elementary level in Iran.

Sushkova D.V. Interpretations of the Problem “F. M. Dostoevsky and Postmodernism” in English-language Slavistics of the XXI century // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2025. Issue 1 (237). P. 111-118

The reception of Dostoevsky’s works in the context of postmodern literature and philosophy constitutes a promising direction in English-language Slavistics of the XXI century. Scholarly works considered belong predominantly to slavists from the USA, but are not limited to such. These studies draw upon modern literary works, influenced by F. M. Dostoevsky (Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, Master of St. Petersburg and Diary of a Bad Year by J. M. Coetzee, and A Curse on Dostoevsky by Atiq Rahimi) and works of the Russian classic himself (The Double, The Karamazoff Brothers, and The Meek One). M. M. Bakhtin’s polyphonic theory links Dostoevsky’s works, works of contemporary authors, influenced by Dostoevsky, and postmodern prose. Concepts such as splitting into doubles, levelling of hierarchies, substitution of the authentic by simulacra, and deconstruction of religious and ethical meaning evoke special research interest. University of Macau Professor Peter Mathews (China) points out that the splitting of Yakov Golyadkin’s personality into doubles becomes one of the first examples of a shattering consciousness, common in postmodernist prose. Brown University Professor Svetlana Evdokimova (USA) claims that Dostoevsky created the first characters, who proclaimed a future era of simulacra. Professor of Purchase College Nina Pelikan Straus (USA) considers similarities between the religious beliefs of F. M. Dostoevsky and Jacques Derrida. She concludes that Bakhtin’s theory links the deconstruction of religious meaning with its unspoken affirmation in dialogue. University of Georgia Professor Alexander Spektor (USA) contrasts the protagonist of The Meek One with narrators of W. Gombrowitz’s postmodernist novels. PhD. student Michael Bowden (UK) finds a tendency towards metaphysical nostalgia in works of modern literature, influenced by Dostoevsky. Thus, such English-language studies of the XXI century exhibit two contradictory tendencies: some researchers emphasize the common ground between postmodern literature and Dostoevsky’s works; others believe the Russian classic’s legacy to offset to the breakdown of ethical and religious meaning, characteristic of postmodern literature.

The psycho-physiological problem is still the point at issue in the works on psychology and physiology of Western researchers, scientists and philosophers. During last three decades it has been discussing from different approaches, and such philosophers as Paul M. Churchland, W.Quine and others suggested their alternative solutions of the problem. T.Nigel's conception, disposed towards a materialist approach to the psycho-physiological problem, seems to be the most reasonable theory on the evidence. However more constructive solutions of the psycho-physiological problem have been claimed in philosophical science of this country (D.I.Dubrovskiy's information conception, V.V.Orlov's conception of the physiological nature of mental states and processes, B.I.Bespalov's function-and-structure approach)

Dubrovskaya N.V. THE SEMANTICS OF THE ATTRIBUTIVE CONSTRUCTIONS WITH THE COLOUR TERM “BLACK” IN THE TAZ DIALECT OF THE SELKUP LANGUAGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 69-73

This work is devoted to the study of the semantics of the colour terms with the meaning of “black” in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The study of the prosaic folklore texts and lexicographical works showed that the main term for the black color is the lexeme sǟqy (sǟ). It can characterize the color of such objects from the sphere of animate and inanimate nature as: human skin (swarthy, sunburned and color of the bruise), human hair (brunette), plumage of a tomtit, colour of the silver fox, colour of the dense forests, peat, kings of spades or clubs in playing cards, colour of the water in the river (presumably the river of Angara) and the colour of clothing. There are examples of the male personal names, which include the color term with the meaning “black”. This study proposes the construction of the tables that include both objects characterized by the colour term in the Taz dialect and attribute constructions with the terms of colour. The table is accompanied by the comments and allows, on the one hand, to compare colour characteristics within one object, and, on the other hand, to study the semantics of the colour terms for “black” inherented for different objects. Thus, the present study based on the material of the Taz dialect of the Selkup language can serve as a basis for the further comparative studies and be of interest in the typological perspective, which can allow to fix the differences in the structure of the of the given semantic zone in the Selkup dialects.
