| 5001 | Contextual co-occurrence of morphemic repetition and syntactical parallelism in English fiction is by no means an exception. Interrelation of these syntagmatic phenomena reveals itself in the diversity of word combinations specifically correlated as to the following features: the number of constituents, the extent of syntactical parallelism, the linguistic status of the reiterated morpheme, the type of semantic ties between the morphemically related constituents. The interrelation considered is not a mere interplay of the twofold reiteration – on the morphemic and the syntactical level but primarily it is a most important means of carrying the meaning. | 5004 | The article deals with the problems of learning the English terminology of language didactics. The knowledge of terminology refers to one of the most complicated aspects of language didactics. The future teacher of a foreign language must also possess methodical terminology in a foreign language. It is known that this terminology (unlike the Russian language) is more polysemous, heterogeneous, dynamic, “lax”. This article suggests the use of educational methodical tasks as an effective basis for learning the English terminology of language didactics. It also states possible types of these tasks, including some author’s examples (search of synonymous expressions of classroom vocabulary, grouping of terms, search of false (incorrect) translation of classroom vocabulary, explanation of abbreviations, and choice of Russian equivalents of the terms in English). | 5012 | The paper analyses figurative expressions with the denomination “bread” in the French and Russian languages. Figurative expressions of a language serve as an important source for getting information about national world perception because they reflect the spiritual and material culture in the language. The choice for figurative expressions with the components representing food is explained by the fact that food is one of the most vivid elements of national culture which is connected with the native speakers’ understanding of their national specificity. Although the French and Russian cuisines have distinctive features, four products are archetypically significant for both cultures: bread, butter, milk and honey. Their denominations in both languages are very widely represented in figurative expressions. The image of bread is the most significant one in the French and Russian cultures; figurative expressions with this component in both languages are based on the archetype of bread as the symbol of life, well-being and wealth. We believe that for assessing the potential of a figurative expression of a language it is necessary to combine the linguoculturological analysis with the analysis of discursive realization of a studied linguistic unit in different types of discourse. Thus the French figural expression “avoir du pain sur la planche” was analyzed both linguoculturologically and discursively in three meanings. The results have shown that this expression is widely used in different types of modern discourse only in one of its meanings. The results prove that discursive realization is the key element for studying figurative expressions and it should become the key component for complex investigation of the figurative layer of a language. Keywords: figurative layer of a language, figurative expressions, phraseological fund of a language, food denominations, the French cuisine, the Russian cuisine, linguoculturological analysis, discursive realization analysis, the Russian language, the French langua | 1806 | |||||
| 5013 | Introduction. This article considers the concept law as a part of the field of social and legal relations, that is the sphere of human life which is regulated by legal norms. The purpose of the study is to find out how the component of the law concept associated with the area of social and legal relations is represented in the language consciousness of the young Russian native speaker. Material and methods. To achieve this goal, the author conducted associative, receptive and color experiments with the participation of student recipients, and also compiled the relevant fields. A series of experiments was carried out twice: in 2013–2015 and 2017–2018, it allowed to analyze the perception of the studied concept by the recipients in dynamics. In addition, the results of the study were compared with the data from the Russian associative dictionary, experiments for this dictionary were conducted at the end of the 20th century. This made it possible to track changes in the linguistic consciousness of the young Russian speaker over the last decades. Results and discussion. Using only one type of experiment to analyze the language consciousness is not enough, because the links between its structures are not linear, therefore, the data obtained during one type of experiment must be verified by experiments of other types. Associative, receptive and color experiments allowed us to bring to the surface and analyze different structures of consciousness and different types of speech activity, and also to characterize the concept under study from different sides. Conclusion. Over the past decades, the number of legal reactions to the “law” stimulus has significantly increased, which indicates changes in the language consciousness of Russian native speakers. The experiments carried out give grounds to assert that recipients associate the concept of law with the sphere of social and legal relations. This may indicate an increase in the level of legal culture among young people. At the same time, the tendency towards a more negative perception of the stimulus law has clearly emerged in recent years, and it is also confirmed by the results of experiments. | 5014 | Introduction. The content and peculiarities of the implementation of the nuclear features of the concept “higher education” presented in the national media in 2012–2017 and reflecting the results of the media interpretation of national education as a social institution are revealed. Material and methods. The materials of the central Russian media from 2012 to 2017 published on their official websites, including news, analytical articles, and interviews, were used as the research material. The selection of material was carried out by a continuous selection of texts that implement the studied concept. Results and discussion. The nuclear of lexical representations of the researched concept includes the phrase higher education, higher school, its contextual synonyms are professional education and education, and its representatives include such lexemes as higher education, University. Moreover, the interpretation of the concept is marked by lexemes that nominate the specific features of the corresponding Institute’s activities. The development of the concept during the study period is characterized by the formation of the specific content in accordance with the content of the ongoing reforms, and also by the dynamics of the implementation of its features. As a result of the analysis, 4 nuclear features of the media concept “higher education” were identified: “competitiveness at the world level”; “an institution that unites universities, the nature and number of which is adequate to solve its problems”; “economic-oriented”; “cost-effective, market-based production”. Non-nuclear characteristics include “having a wide range of educational areas”, “a social institution that is significant for an individual”, “having a research component”, and others. Conclusion. Four nuclear features of the concept of “higher education” are identified, only one of them is recorded in the explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language. All the identified features reflect the basic provisions of the Russian education reform being carried out at this time, and their presentation in the media are aimed to inform of the reform on the one hand, and to satisfy the audience on the other hand. | 5024 | Northern (Arctic) Federal University Named After M. Lomonosov, Arkhangelsk The article traces the limiting impact of zinc and copper in the soil-plant system, gives the scientific rationale and develops a regional system of environmental regulation of the content of heavy metals in soils of Arkhangelsk. Key points of comparison are concentrations of heavy metals in the soil, leading to a decrease in their accumulation (translocation) in plants, excess tissue in their maximum allowable concentrations and maximum allowable level, as well as the effect of the average soil phytotoxicity test applied to test-object (watercress). Critical level of these metals in the plant is achieved with a soil content of mobile forms of zinc at 5.0–13.0 mg / kg, copper – 2.0 mg / kg. This is below the maximum allowable concentration of mobile forms of heavy metals in soils of 1.5–1.8 times. Observes the decrease in the accumulation of zinc aerial parts of plants when the content in the soils of 45–50 mg / kg, copper – 4.2–5.2 mg / kg. There is a significant inverse relationship between phytotoxicity and content in the soils of zinc and copper. However, their concentration in the soil, leading to a moderate degree of phytotoxicity (30 %) accounted for zinc – 30 mg / kg for copper – 2.0 mg / kg, which is 1.3–1.5 times higher than the maximum allowable concentration mobile forms of heavy metals in soils. Based on regression analysis and comparison with regulatory measures adopted in Russia, has developed principles for the valuation of the regional conditions of the North.
