| 5454 | The paper is devoted to the study of verbal formulae of attracting attention, which, without naming the addressee, encourage him to response. In Ukrainian and Lezgin speech communication such function is realized, as a rule, by interjections, particles and imperatives used by the addresser either because of uncertainty or extreme generalization of social indications of the addressee, or due to the lack of necessity (volition) of realizing such a nomination under certain speech conditions. The study resulted in determination of the fact that being the ethnos’ spiritual culture markers of a certain kind, such addresses are marked by ethnographic originality. | 5455 | Language culture of Siberian oil north is brightly represented in the work of the journalist Asya Shulbaeva. The article discusses the discursive interaction of concepts oil and good / evil in the texts of the journalist about Strezhevoy-city Tomsk region. Strezhevoy as a single-industry town has an oil field as a fundamental organizing principle. Media presentation of the city and its inhabitants, the economy of the Tomsk region is realized through the prism of “oil centrism”. Oil is not an ethical concept and is not directly measured in moral categories, but indirectly is good and social good, as everything about oil is portrayed as a positive phenomenon of modern economic and socio-cultural life of the North of Tomsk. | 5456 | The article is devoted to identifying the role of rhetoric component in the speech and communicative behavior of epistolary media language person. Epistolary display language personality is defined as a special type of media, author (sender) content epistolary-media texts – written speech products, possessing a pronounced genre-style characteristics, through which the interpersonal and social interaction with addressees in a media discourse is realised. The analysis of linguistic organization of epistolary-media texts demonstrates a certain level of speech culture of the sender, which is required to achieve the impact on recipients, on the one hand, on the other – it indicates that the presence of speech abilities marks the manifestation of epistolary display language personality peculiar to its discursive abilities. In the rhetorical aspects are analyzed the discursive characteristics of epistolary media language person, actualized in the sphere of mass interaction. The illustrative materials are the open letters to the public, tests of online petitions and eapplications of citizens addressed to the representatives of the regional and national authorities as a kind of epistolary media correspondence. In particular, the rhetorical expedient in epistolary media correspondence is updated by receiving the transformation of forms of presentation “I in-personal” “we collective” and “you generalized”, verification by mentioning factual and statistical data, to attract the stylistic language of the resource in the form of tropes and other means of expression of different levels of the language system. It is noted that, in addition to the verbal code units for the expression of his own reflection on the concrete social events addressee actively involved paraverbal graphical tools. | 5457 | Introduction. The non-verbal component in interpretation as a unit of analysis is a scientific gap. This paper studies the three-way interaction between speaker, interpreter and listener for the interpretation of gestures, body position (and its parts), which are characterized as repetitive. It is focused on the multichannel system of the information processed by the interpreter during the work and the ways of processing it. A synchrony occurs between the interpreter and the speaker during the interpretation. It shows on what extent the participants of the communication are involved in this communication. Such involvement allows the speaker to verify the result of the interpretation. It gives an understanding of the transmitted meaning and its appropriateness, since the speaker can judge by the non-verbal communication and the response of the listener. The goal is to study the non-verbal interaction between the speaker and the interpreter in the context of consecutive interpretation using the example of the emerging mimicry phenomenon of synchrony. Materials and methods. The material of the research is video clips with the participation of Krasnoyarsk interpreters with a total duration of 1 hour 57 minutes 29 seconds. Each video is an interview with the participants of the World Junior Curling Championships that was held in Krasnoyarsk in January 2020. A specialized program ELAN was used for marking up videos, which allows annotating media files according to various parameters. The method of annotation according to A. Kibrik was used to process and graphically display the results. Results and discussion. The study shows that the synchrony occurs between the interpreter and the speaker. It means that the connection was established between the participants of the communication that leads to the adoption of certain interpreting decisions. However, we managed to see the opposite situation when there is no synchrony, but there are inaccuracies in the translation or incomplete translation. Conclusion. On the basis of the analysis, an understanding of the principles of three-way interaction in conditions of multichannel information acquisition was formed. The similarity of movements, gestures and body position of the participants in communication is the adaptation of the interlocutors to the behavior of each other, which indicates their involvement and coordination of the communicative behavior of the participants. The more the communication participants are immersed in communication, the greater the level of synchrony they demonstrate. The phenomenon of synchrony is clearly demonstrated. Situations in which the interaction of the translator and the speaker turned out to be ineffective and the goal of communication was not achieved or was not fully achieved are shown using examples of emblematic, illustrative and regulatory gestures. | 5458 | The current level of development of electronic technologies requires a change in the educational process in higher education institutions and the optimization of students’ independent study time. The increase in the amount of information and the share of independent work of students, the educational process, in which the teacher is the only source, and the student is considered as a “passive” object of knowledge, lead to the search for new educational technologies and requires a transition to student-centered learning. According to the degree of use of e-learning in the educational process, online learning and blended learning are distinguished. Blended learning is a combination of online learning with face-to-face learning, the integration of traditional forms with electronic technologies. The aim of the article is to develop and implement a methodology for improving the effectiveness of practical classes in a blended learining environment of the higher education system. The study is being used to observe and analyze the process of teaching science, mastering theoretical and practical knowledge, tests and tasks through an online platform, non-traditional olympiads, interviews, questionnaires, statistical processing of test experiment data, graphical presentation of results, and other methods. The project (www.blededlearning.uz), included in the state register of the information exchange mechanism for the teaching staff of the university was created and implemented, proposals and recommendations were developed. Based on the analysis of theoretical and scientific-methodical literature, the components of a mixed education system in higher educational institutions are determined and are based on the theoretical and methodological aspect and the improvement of the stages of the introduction of mixed educational technologies in the organization of work practice in higher educational institutions. | 5467 | The article presents one of the marginal genres of engineering discourse, the Missing Manual, in the aspect of its metaphorical organization. The results of the analysis have shown that a set of metaphors can be identified in the Missing Manual, namely: the anthropomorphic metaphors that are connected with the anthropocentric paradigm; time and space metaphors that are identified on the basis of semantic features as the humans and everything that surrounds them cannot exist outside of temporal and spatial coordinates; conceptual metaphors that are considered as theoretical constructs that differ in degree of abstraction. The special attention in the article is devoted to the anthropomorphic metaphors which represent various devices as possessing physical and mental abilities, personal attributes, parts of the body, etc. By the example of the Missing Manual it has been demonstrated that the necessity and importance of metaphors in the given text-type depend on two factors: pragmatic goal and functional stylistic status of the Missing Manual. The authors conclude that metaphors in the discussed genre perform two core functions, i.e. the function of gaining consumers’ affection and the function of exerting control over the formation of consumers’ notion of some devices which can have an impact on their decision-making. | 5469 | The article describes the natural time in the idiolect of the Siberian old-timer as one of the forms of physical time. It presents the results of studying the properties of physical time: length and sequence. The article contains a description of two time models: linear and cyclic. Natural time represents a cyclic time model based on the change of natural phenomena. The article proves that natural time has high significance for the bearer of traditional culture, since it organizes various aspects of peasant life. It describes the annual cycle, which consists of 4 seasons. Annual cycle regulates the everyday life and work activity, a certain place in it is assigned for each type of work. Weather conditions also play an organizing role in the life of a rural resident working on the land, because the success of peasant work depends on the weather. Peasant works, their relevance / irrelevance necessarily correlate with the folk’s calendar, which regulates the life of peasants during the year and reflects the observations of the people over natural changes and weather phenomena. The article shows the influence of the daily cycle on the daily routine of the informant. Agricultural labor depends on the solar cycle: the work traditionally began with the sunrise and ended at sunset. The article also notes the axiological aspect: the dialect language personality negatively assesses the violation of established norms, leading to a change in folk culture. | 5470 | Introduction. In this article we attempted to analyze the textual material of two multi-genre works written by one author. Our attention was drawn to the mechanisms of actualization of meaning at the level of words, phrases and sentences. In the course of our analysis, we also identified concepts that are significant for the author and described the role of concept-regulators in the formation of meaning represented in fiction and publicistic texts. Purpose of the study. Our purpose is to analyze the textual material of two multi-genre works of literature and prove that certain set of relevant meanings, represented by the concepts “ethics”, “memory” and “power” within the text of a publicistic work, will also be present in the conceptual-semantic content of the work of fiction by the same author. Material and methods. We have used the following methods: conceptual and structural analysis of the text, stylistic analysis of the text, associative-semantic interpretation of the text in the context of communicative and anthropocentric paradigms; morphological, lexical and syntactic analysis of the text with allocation of its separate levels represented by a word and an utterance. Works of Viet Thanh Nguyen “The Sympathizer” and “Nothing Ever Dies” with a total volume of 727 pages is the material of the research. Results and discussion. The study confirmed the suppositional hypothesis. The semantic dominant “memory” inside the semantic field “love – life – war – memory – sensation”, which we discovered earlier in the analysis of the “The Sympathizer”, remains analogous in the publicistic work “Nothing Ever Dies”. The analysis of the work “Nothing Ever Dies” confirmed the remaining actuality of the dominant concept “memory”, the significant concept “power” and also allowed us to highlight and describe the properties of the concept-regulators “ethics” and “dual”. Conclusion. The stylistic, syntactic, conceptual and structural analysis of the two texts allowed us to single out previously unnoticed functional concepts-regulators “ethics” and “dual” implemented in speech in conjunction with other concepts that demonstrate greater substantiality, but less functionality, such as “memory” and “power”. The duality of the concept “memory” is not an internal attribute of this concept, but arises under the influence of the concept-regulatory “dual”. The same is true for other substantial concepts, such as, for example, “power”. | 5475 | There is the problem of diagnostics of readiness of future mathematics teachers for professional activity in connection with the transition of higher education to the new standards based on the competence, personality-oriented and activity approaches to teaching. The concept of “readiness for professional activity” is associated with the concept of “professional competence”. The analysis of works on the diagnosis of professional competence from the point of view of psychodidactics allows us to identify certain requirements for the diagnosis of readiness of future mathematics teachers for professional activity: diagnostics should be carried out in the form of monitoring, thereby, its developmental function is realized; monitoring involves the use of the means of pedagogical support in case of educational difficulties of the diagnosed, thereby realizing the teaching function of the diagnostics; it should include the means of self-diagnosis, thereby the educational function of diagnostics is being realized. The designing of diagnostic materials for this monitoring was carried out using the example of diagnosing the readiness of future mathematics teachers to learn to solve text problems – one of the important components of mathematical training. Educational texts were developed in accordance with the structure of the problem-solving process, based on the requirements for diagnostics. Texts allow future mathematics teachers to estimate their readiness in the following areas of professional activity: the analysis of learners’ difficulties in solving problems; methodical work at the stage of the task condition analysis; use of various methods for solving text problems; additional work on the task; designing tasks aimed at learning problem-solving; comparison, recognition and construction of teaching texts; the use of historical and methodical experience in problem solving. | 5483 | In the article we are talking about the interaction of the higher and secondary schools in the context of the implementation of the competence approach, on the one hand, as a manifestation of the openness and continuity of the modern educational process, on the other, as an important component of the university training of students who study in the field of Pedagogical Education. It is noted that a knowledge component in the university education of this contingent of trainees should be present sufficiently, and substantive training should necessarily be guided by future professional activity. In fact, university training in the subject area of students of a pedagogical university should use the criterion of applicability of information in future professional activity as a priority reference point in studying any topic of each subject block. In this connection, the student is obliged to know the normative base of general education, to have an idea of the programs implemented in the general education school, to be able to give them a competent assessment. The student should be familiar with a certain range of scientific and educational-methodical literature on the subject. The role of educational and production practices, research work, as well as network sites, stimulating students’ motivation for mastering the profession, social adaptation and personal growth, is also being updated in the process of the university training of students-philologists. As an example, the forms of network interaction practiced in the process of implementing the program “Formation of the professional culture of teachers in the new educational conditions” are analyzed as part of the network of the experimental site “school – university” (IAOU School No. 14 named after A. F. Lebedev, Tomsk – Tomsk State Pedagogical University). It is concluded that it is the orientation of a pedagogical university to a school and close interaction with it that will allow for the professional training of students-philologists in the context of the changed requirements of society, presented to the modern teacher. | 5484 | Introduction. Linguistic pragmatics investigates various problems of the speech behaviour organization, which are connected with the positions of the addressor and the addressee, due to their individual characteristics, type of relationships, type of interaction and communicative situation. Speech units reflect the situation. They include words of courtesy, greeting, farewell and terms of address. Being implemented in the act of communication, different address formulas reflect the components of the speech situation, which materialize in semantic and grammatical structures, as well as in the stylistic connotations of these terms of address. The priority for the study of the speech behaviour is a pragmatic analysis of the phenomenon of “address”, used in different communicative situations. Ethnocultural factors are taken into account. Aim and objectives. The aim of this article is to identify and describe Korean address formulas that function in informal communicative situations. Material and methods. The research material is informal address formulas in the Korean language. Forty language units are selected from texts of the following seven films produced in South Korea: “완벽한 타인” (2018), “연애소 설” (2002), “범죄도시” (2017), “리틀 포레스트” (2018), “행복” (2007), “기억의 밤” (2017), “지금 만나러 갑니 다” (2018). These sources belong to different genres (comedy, drama, melodrama, action, detective) and reproduce all kinds of extra-linguistic reality situations, in particular, relations between people in society, the actions of communicants, conflicts that arise between communicants, etc. When analyzing and translating formulas of address, the bilingual educational dictionary “Korean-Russian educational dictionary of the National Institute of the Korean language” was used. This dictionary was created on the basis of the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Korean Language” translated into Russian. To achieve the aim of the study, a corpus of general and private scientific methods was used. General scientific methods include: 1) logic methods – analysis (identifying address formulas that function in situations of informal communication), synthesis (combining address formulas into separate groups according to the pragmatic approach), generalization (establishing the features and functions of various address formulas in the system of the Korean language); 2) statistical methods – a quantitative method (using numerical data and standardized methods for processing the empirical corpus of the research), a grouping method (structural and typological separation of empirical research material according to essential features). Particular scientific (linguistic) methods include a descriptive method (description of the features and basic characteristics of informal formulas of address), a pragmatic analysis (interpretation of the meaning of address formulas from the standpoint of their usage in a speech act). Results and discussion. Address formulas identified in informal Korean speech communication are represented by various communicative units. Affixes, that join Korean formulas of address, express a neutral polite attitude and are actively used in situations of informal communication. The Korean language has a wide range of kinship terms as formulas of address that apply to both relatives and close friends. The second person singular and plural rarely function in speech, because one of the main indicators of communication style is a verb ending. Expressive, stimulating, and perlocutionary functions are enhanced by means of interjections and possessive pronouns. Conclusion. 11 address formulas – proper name, last name + first name, kinship terms, noun (affectionate), metonymy, metaphor, noun (offensive), address to a group of people, address to an unfamiliar addressee, address without naming an interlocutor, the second person singular and plural – were identified in informal communicative situations in the Korean language. In speech, these formulas implement various functions that not only carry out the establishment of contact with the interlocutor, but also transfer the relationship of the addressor to the addressee. The choice of address formulas in various situations of informal communication is due to extralinguistic factors. | 5485 | The focus of our attention is on the works of Yu. Ya. Yakovlev, which are in demand in school literary studies, have educational potential, but are insufficiently studied by literary critics. A review of articles devoted to the writer’s stories about the Great Patriotic War allows us to highlight their common features: central are the motif of memory and the technique of retrospection, providing a “link” of two time layers – the 1940s and the present (for the characters); the importance of dialogues of characters of different generations, attention to the inner world of characters. The article explores the theme of memory and the peculiarity of intergenerational dialogue in the works of Yuri Yakovlev of the 1970s, dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The literary material (“Girls from Vasilievsky Island”, “Memory”) is interpreted based on the structural-semiotic research method. The writer uses a number artistic techniques: retrospection, the juxtaposition of two space-time planes (war and modernity), in the center – a pair of characters “child-adult” or “child-child”, the first represents the post-war generation and is the bearer of knowledge about the war or initiates the acquisition of this knowledge, and the second - having direct experience wars/blockades. Yu. Yakovlev reveals the idea of spiritual kinship, the unbreakable bond of the front-line and post-war generations. In order for the deceased to continue to live in the memory of their spiritual descendants, personal efforts, work and courage are needed to preserve knowledge about the war, loyalty to friendship. The analysis of the stories makes it clear that the writer inherits some features of the “lieutenant’s prose” (laconism of narration, attention to the inner world of the character, reliance on documentalism, a combination of lyricism, psychologism and naturalism). At the same time, there are differences due to the time of the creation of texts – the 1970s. The depiction of the events of the 1940s is mediated by the consciousness and imagination of the characters-children born after the war, which means they cannot be direct witnesses or bearers of military experience. This feature allows you to interpret the stories of Yu. Yakovlev in the context of the concept of “post-memory”, justified by M. Hirsch. Keywords: literature for children, Yu. | 5491 | In the article we do the analysis of the quality management system. We show that the quality level is determined by managing actions upon the quality formation process. Besides, the continuum of the actions has quite a complicated structure. We work out the mathematical expressions that give the opportunity to describe these processes, to define the cumulative expenses structure when forming the managing actions, and also to classify the sources of their occurrence. The analysis of the sources of costs gives the opportunity to optimize the expenses in order to minimize them. | 5493 | This article provides an evolutionary approach to the linguistic problem of encoding and interpretation of a conceptual content by means of body part names in the Old Russian and the Old English languages. Applying the category analysis to word semantics in diachrony enables us to decode the primary links between words and concepts that these words denote. The diachronic study of lexical semantics provides explicational potential, revealing recurring tendencies and the prospects for meaning generation and development. The lexicographic data of the Indo-European proto-language create the necessary basis to determine the ways semantic categories of objectivity, quality, quantity, space, and time can adapt and transform in the Slavic and the Anglo-Saxon linguistic consciousness. The comparative analysis of the Old Russian and the Old English body part names and their proto-Indo-European roots adds clarity to the processes of category transition and semantics formation. The semiotic complexity of human body contributes to the expansion of the objective space of body part names by means of incident semantics. The conducted research correlates the inventory of the Old Russian and the Old English somatic fragments with their Indo-European reflexes. The results testify to the dynamic nature of categories in the evolution of lexical semantics, indicating the vectors of semantic change. | 5494 | The problem of linguistic variability remains acute due to the dynamism of national language development. The study of phraseological units of biblical etymology in the aspect of their variability has recently become increasingly significant, as the fact of wide use of phraseological units derived from biblical texts and stories in various types of discourse is noted. The diversity of variants of biblical phrases requires identifying, organising and structuring the types of their variation. The aim of the research is to identify new variants of biblical phraseological units that are widely used in various discourse types (fiction, media, publicistic, historical, political). Contexts that verify the resulting data of the research were borrowed from the British National Corpus (BNC), News on the Web (NOW) and electronic dictionary Reverso Context (RC). Language material for the research was extracted out of 3 phraseological dictionaries: 1) the bilingual “English-Russian phraseological dictionary” by Alexander V. Kunin, 2) “English-German-Swedish Dictionary of Biblical Phraseology” by Tatyana N. Fedulenkova and others, 3) the multilingual phraseological dictionary “The Mite of Biblical Wisdom” by Zoya K. Adamia and others. The research methods, namely the method of the phraseological identification, the method of the structural and componential analysis, the method of the quantitative analysis and the method of contextual analysis, allow to analyse 350 phraseological units of biblical origin that are actively used in modern English and identify a set of variants that include both usual and occasional simple variants, i.e. lexical and grammatical, quantitative variants of phraseological units and mixed or complex variants of phraseological units. It was found out that along with linguistic variation, phraseological variation is the result of the natural development of language as a system. Variation of biblical phraseological units is not equaled to phraseological synonymy. The analysis of selected biblical phraseological units allowed us to identify the following types of variants: simple variants and complex variants (e.g. substantive-quantitative variants, adjectival-quantitative variants, verbal-quantitative variants) of phraseological units. Within each of the given groups, a division into usual and occasional variants is made. Simple variants are represented by lexical variants (including substantive variants, prepositional variants, prepositional-substantive variants, attributive variants, verbal variants); grammatical variants (including morphological variants and morpho-syntactical variants); quantitative variants (with truncation and addition of components). Truncated parts of a phraseological unit may be represented by three types (truncation of the initial part of the phraseological unit; truncation of the final part of the phraseological unit; mixed truncation). A group of quantitative comparative variants is distinguished, in which the first conjunction (as) as a result of regular truncation becomes optional, resulting in quantitative-variative pairs. A type of mixed variation has been identified, implying the origin of variants by multiple modifications. Substantive-quantitative variants are formed by changing the substantive component together with varying the structure of the phraseological unit by expanding it with a variable component with a preposition. Adjectival-quantitative variants are formed as the result quantitative variation (expansion of the structure of the phraseological unit) coupled with the replacement of the adjectival element. With the help of corpus data, the preference of native speakers for some variants of idioms over others was successfully revealed. The conclusion is made that the studied phraseological units borrowed from the Bible are not static, but are ‘living’, constantly changing language units, widely used in modern English speech. Moreover, both simple and complex variation in the component composition of a given phraseological unit has no significant impact on the invariant meaning of the phraseological unit.
