Varda V.E. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SOUTHERN SELKUP AND EASTERN KHANTY POSTPOSITIONS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 10 (151). P. 87-93

The paper reviews postpositions of two endangered indigenous Uralic languages of Western Siberia: Southern Selkup and Eastern Khanty. These languages have remote genetic affiliation and an extended cultural and linguistic contact, co-inhabiting the area of middle Ob river flows of Tomsk region. The main focus of the discussion is the comparative analysis of postpositions of these two languages on the basis of existing grammars. Postpositions are usually used to express spatial temporal notions. They typically represent a model of space-time metaphor. Selkup postpositions are divided into serial and non-serial. Khanty postpositions are divided into etymologically nontransparent postpositions proper and postpositional use of nouns.

Slepneva M.A. Modular foreign language teaching system for three-level technical specialists training. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 5 (235). P. 77-89

Professionally-oriented foreign language training at a university under modern economic, social and geopolitical terms of society development should provide a high level of graduates’ knowledge, skills and abilities in highly specialized areas that form the basis of training and form their readiness to perform professional communication with foreign colleagues when solving practical, theoretical and research tasks. This training should also promote their further self-development, self-education and professional growth. Thus, learning a foreign language could help to perform two main functions in the young specialist’s professional activity: to be a communication tool (in oral and written form) and to become a means of improving one’s professional level. Taking into account the Federal State Educational Standard, the process of foreign language learning in a technical university is aimed at the formation of communicative competencies – the ability to logically correctly and clearly build oral and written speech, make public speeches, conduct reasoned discussion and at the formation of professional competencies – analyze, summarize and perceive information, write scientific texts in their professional field. Higher school teachers are faced with the task of developing these competencies in conditions of insufficient hours given to humanities and a low level of foreign language knowledge among applicants. In particular, a modular system with a flexible approach to the educational process allows you to create pedagogical conditions for the implementation of goals and objectives at different stages of learning. The work was carried out on the basis of the leading technical university of the country. The pedagogical model was updated: the course content for three stages of training (bachelor’s, master’s, postgraduate) was developed, goals and objectives were defined, methodological support was written, exercise books (paper and digital) for each level of training were published, independent educational and cognitive activities of students were organized. The educational process in universities should create conditions in which the student will see his own growth and achievements, will be able to conduct self-analysis and evaluate the results of his activities. The modular approach provides freedom for both teachers and students in filling individual modules with interesting material, choosing a learning path, space for independent work and creative self-realization.

The material of the study was the documents of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on the construction of a “new concept of the humanities”, the relevant research papers of the CNKI of China, as well as examples of the author’s training in teaching “Foreign Literature”. The study uses the literary method of research and the empirical method of research. In this context, the teaching of foreign literature should break down barriers between courses and integrate between courses. Foreign literature in various universities in China is divided into the history of foreign literature, the reading of foreign literature and the theory of foreign literature, but we must combine these courses in teaching. During the teaching of literary history knowledge, we must make students understand the characteristics of the literary language in original literary texts, we must penetrate the literary theory in the study of works, teach students to analyze specific literary texts through literary theory and criticism method, and realize the combination of theory and practice. In teaching foreign literature, we must not only have a global vision, but also have national and family feelings, in order to spread Chinese culture in the international arena and tell Chinese stories well and establish cultural confidence in cultural differences. Russian literature especially contains a deep patriotic spirit, humanitarian spirit, deep cultural heritage and civic consciousness. Through the teaching of this course, we guide students to create patriotism, build the consciousness of citizens and develop a humanitarian spirit. As a result, we will combine knowledge, ability, and a view of value in order to improve the ideological and moral literacy of students. While teaching, we encourage students to actively participate in teaching activities and discussions. Interactive activities between teachers and students can mobilize students’ enthusiasm, stimulate their creativity, provide them with opportunities to use and demonstrate their own abilities, and help them improve their language skills. At the same time, teaching foreign literature can not only impart knowledge, but also cultivate thinking ability and stimulate students’ imagination ability. The use of auxiliary tools such as multimedia, internet, film, boutique course site, can not only expand the scope of the curriculum of literature courses and make the teaching method diversified, but also keep in touch with information technology, digital culture and the network. This teaching method can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning and form a virtuous learning cycle. Teachers should introduce their research results, research trends, as well as scientific methods in the classroom, constantly enrich and update teaching content, conduct flexible classes, ensure students learn the latest knowledge and cutting edge concepts, at the same time cultivate students’ interests in scientific research, improve the ability of students in research and stimulate the interests of students in research. At present, assessments of foreign literature studies at various universities in China are in writing. This assessment method does not contribute to the development of creative abilities and the improvement of students’ literary assessment and analysis abilities. Therefore, we are trying to use a combination of written tests and oral tests in the assessment of learning to comprehensively improve students’ language skills and cultural literacy. The “new concept of the humanities” is to throw off the unreasonable barriers set by disciplines, not bound by the boundaries of invisible disciplines. The “new concept of the humanities” are the inevitable result of the humanities and social sciences adapting to social development. An integral task of teaching foreign literature is to cultivate outstanding talents who can serve the needs of the country and take responsibility for national revival against the backdrop of the “new concept of the humanities”.

Lipovka V.O. The specifics of the artistic interpretation of the theme of war in the stories of Yu. Yakovlev’s “Where the battery stood” and “Ivan-Willis”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 4 (234). P. 128-135

The research material is two short stories by the classic of Soviet literature for children Y. Ya. Yakovlev, united by the theme of the Great Patriotic War: “Where the Battery Stood” (1967) and “Ivan-Willis” (1982). The analysis revealed the artistic features of understanding this topic. The writer combines two plans in space-time poetics (the post-war and the military world being restored in memories), the presence of two generations in the character system is significant – veterans and schoolchildren who were born already in peacetime. Yu. Yakovlev uses various techniques to show the process of starting the work of the memory of the war. In the story “Where the battery stood” these are symbolic images connecting war and peace (poplars destroyed by the Nazis and a school bell resembling the sound of a siren); in “Ivan-Willis” – a car that was perceived by the owner, and then by a teenager as a comrade, colleague, songs and even the weather, evoking memories of military events. In the poetics of short stories, the techniques of psychologism are significant (the use of various syntactic constructions to convey the inner state of a character, portrait characteristics and behavior showing emotions, feelings, thoughts and their dynamics). The stories have a weakly expressed plot level, the emphasis is on the inner life of the characters, on changing their consciousness, on the formation of values. At the center of the ideological content of the stories is the familiarization of post–war generations of schoolchildren with the memory of past events, the formation of post-memory (in M. Hirsch’s terminology) and the joint experience of different generations through dialogue, friendship, and common cause. Yuri Yakovlev defends the importance of the idea of the continuity of time, that modern peaceful life has been achieved at the cost of the efforts of the front-line generation. Therefore, it is important for new generations to realize their responsibility to contemporaries and descendants for preserving historical memory. In the texts of Yu. Yakovlev on the Great Patriotic War comprehends the way of formation of the child’s personality and the formation of his worldview through familiarization with the memory of the tragic past of the Motherland and the people.

The article presents the data obtained during studying of features of attention of employees, the providing the state protection (PSP). By means of Hardware and Software Psychodiagnostic Complex (HSPC) “Multipsikhometr” we studied the features of stability of attention of employees of PSP and Department of Internal Affairs. Stability of attention was investigated with the help of technique of readiness for the emergency action (REA). We analysed the following indicators: efficiency, latency of reaction, accuracy, stability. In the study it was found that latency of reaction and indicators of the volume of physical activity have no statistically significant intergroup distinctions while in experimental group (PSP) indicators “efficiency” and “stability” are statistically more significant than the results of the control group. It is possible to assume that the processes of attention of PSP employees (readiness for the emergency action) proceed more effectively than those of the ordinary staff of Department of Internal Affairs. Most likely, the formation of the identity of employees of PSP are influenced by some factors: professional activity in the conditions of extreme situations which create difficulties in the solution of professional tasks, affect success of actions and demand high professional stability from employees, special psychological readiness, ability to work harmoniously in special conditions.

Bolotnova N.S. Harmonization of Communication of the Interview Participants in Author’s TV Program: Communicative-Pragmatic and Regulative Aspects. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 1 (225). P. 86-94

The problem of communication’s harmonization in different spheres is relevant in accordance with the modern communicative-cognitive paradigm of linguistic knowledge. This is especially true of media communication in connection with the media vector of development of up-to-date Russian studies. The promotion of the interview as one of the leading genres is of interest in terms of the interaction of its participants and as an object of perception of the mass addressee who perceives this media discourse. The purpose of the article is, based on the theory of regulativity as one of the directions of the communicative style of the text, to identify some linguistic mechanisms that form a harmonizing dialogue between a journalist and his guests as interview participants. The study is based on the use of the methodology and conceptual and terminological apparatus of the theory of regulativity developed in the communicative style of the text, the use of discursive, linguo-semantic, semantic-stylistic analysis. The material of the study was the author’s program “Very Personal” in the format of an interview with the famous journalist Viktor Loshak on the ORT channel. The effect of harmonious communication in the interview genre is achieved due to the overall positive and trusting emotional tone of the dialogue between the journalist and the guests; installation on the actualization of the objective successes and merits of the invited participants by the host program; the predominance of communication strategies and tactics of support, consent, compliment, self-presentation of the journalist and guests. The format of the author’s program includes a system of individual media genres, united by a common idea and image of the author of the program, which determine the integrity of the general media discourse, its coherence, conceptual completeness, communicative and pragmatic effect. In addition to the key media genre of the interview, the author’s program on ORT V. Loshak “Very personal” includes informative genres: presentation of the program and the guest, as well as etiquette genres: greeting, compliment, gratitude. Among the extralinguistic regulatory means, that form the effect of communication harmonization, the following stand out: the choice of guests – famous public figures; musical screen saver for the program; non-verbal behavior of the journalist and program participants (friendly look, supportive gestures, facial expressions); logical-compositional deployment of a discourse aimed at emphasizing the personal and professional merits of invited media persons who are of interest to a mass addressee. Linguistic regulatory means and structures that have a communicative-pragmatic effect include: quoting a guest, pick-up questions; clarifying questions, including options for answers to choose from; questions aimed at revealing the merits of the guest and his social significance; supporting remarks, the use of ameliorative evaluative vocabulary and vocabulary with the semantics of agreement, support; the appropriate use of figurative and expressive means and an explicit regulatory strategy of an amplifying-convergent type. The use of the theory of regulativity and its terminology allows us to judge some of the mechanisms for the formation of the communicative-pragmatic effect of harmonious communication between a journalist and guests during an interview in the author’s program “Very Personal” by Viktor Loshak on Public Television. The obtained observations are of interest for further development of the problem of the effectiveness of media communication and the study of the mechanisms of speech influence in the dialogue of communicants.

Savina M.A. The image of a drunkard in the artistic picture of the world by Sergey Dovlatov (compared to the national picture of the world): axiological aspect of interpretation. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 4 (228). P. 17-25

This paper examines the image of a drinking man in the artistic picture of the world by Sergey Dovlatov, compared to the national picture of the world. The goal is to discuss the similarities and differences in the attitude towards a drinking person, the key characteristics of a drinking person in the national and artistic picture of the world. We perform this study on the materials of the Russian Associative Dictionary (with the use of phraseology materials) and the texts by Sergey Dovlatov (using the National Corpus of the Russian language). We employ the methods of contextual analysis and of studying the national and artistic picture of the world. In both pictures of the world there is sympathy and an idea of the “fate” of a drinking person. The bearers of the negative assessment prevailing in the national picture of the world, in the texts by Sergey Dovlatov, are individual characters who are not “positive”, non-drinking characters seem to be something amazing, mysterious. We characterize the description of the effect of alcohol on a person and the surrounding world in the works Sergey Dovlatov. We counted the episodes of alcohol consumption and the number of characters involved in them in the works of S. D. Dovlatov to prove the importance of the image of people drinking. Sergey Dovlatov gives drunkards positive qualities (inner freedom, talent, contempt for material values). Alcohol “colors” the world in pink tones and helps the heroes to live.

The purpose of this work is to define the ethno-cultural space of the names – wishes category in the Tatar anthroponyms. As a result, the study of personal names in ethno-cultural aspect shows that personal names are nationally marked language formation. Babushkina M.A. METACOMMUNICATIVE SPEECH ACTS WIHT SPECIFYING SEMANTICS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 11 (188). P. 25-30

The article deals with the metacommunicative components, metacommunicative statements and metacommunicative situations on the whole with specifying semantics, in other words, the object of analysis is metacommunicative speech acts of the speaker, which represent a verbal explanation of the specific speech situation, specification, concretization of the speech act of the participant of the communication process. The article explains the practical significance of the use of such speech acts. The specification allows us to focus on the speech behavior of the interlocutor, regulate the process of communication and request additional information which is necessary for a complete and correct interpretation of a speech act. Metacommunicative speech acts can be expressed as particles (то есть – that is, да – yes, вроде – like), adverbs (точно – exactly, правильно – right, верно – correct, etc. ), and metacommunicative statements of the phraseological character (иметь в виду – to bear in mind, пойми меня правильно – understand me correctly), interrogative metacommunicative statements (Что ты хочешь этим сказать? – What do you mean by that? Слышишь? – Do you hear? etc.), metacommunicative statements (Я ничего не понял, объясните и др. – I did not understand anything, will you explain, etc.) and whole metacommunicative speech situations containing the action tendency to explain what was said. Formation of universal learning activities aimed at thoughtful reading and writing, critical comprehension of the available information and the creation of educational product among pupils in any subject area, including mathematics classes, is a major concern throughout modern general education. The article considers issues of perception, understanding, interpretation and generation of the learning text as a communicative sign system used in the training process. Authors have formulated theoretical foundations, based on which it is possible to analyze the cognitivesemantic content of educational texts, and the features of text designing in order to achieve understanding and improve the quality of education. Examples of mathematical educational texts are provided as an illustration of these foundations. The developed educational texts (research challenges, dialogues, methodical recommendations, applications, historical overviews, etc.) allow us to create context, suitable for each pupil. Also these texts help to individualize learning, to understand better varying levels of the reflection processes and the formation of personality during training, to carry out the educational process on designing new personal educational products and educational texts in the process of studying mathematics. Educational texts should prepare pupils for independent reading of educational, popular science-oriented and scientific literature; promote the creative acquisition of knowledge and gathering experience in critical, creative thinking and conducting design and research work.

Shmat’ko S.V. INTERACTION OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION DIRECTIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF CHILDREN’S AND TEENAGERS’ PERSONAL SELF-DETERMINATION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 7 (196). P. 130-135

According to the article a general level of social life depends on the success of personal self-determination of young generation. The author underlines that successful personal self-determination of teenagers and youth is one of the major achievements on the way to professional self-realization, which forms a specialist in a field. In modern additional education it is necessary for children to study one or several adjacent directions during years of preparations. As a result the most successful children are good at several kinds of activity, however they are in dark of existing great number of others. At the same time the problem of seasonal crisis of personal self-determination of children, because of which searches of true occupation to liking can drag on for the long period, is frequent. According to V.A. Sukhomlinsky’s precepts children need periods for acquaintance with different types of activities, as a result personal and professional interests can be revealed. In our opinion creating conditions for children to experience a large number of activities, which they chose in institutions of additional education, solves that problem. According to the research, in the modern educational associations there is a practice of comprehensive programs, which involves not only the basic but also the additional direction of training and mutual training activities for the exchange of experience between collectives with related activities. However, in institutions of additional education there are not enough large-scale surveys which that can give students initial experience in many kinds of different activities, in the context of which the choice of the most interesting can be more conscious and obvious to children. From the author’s point of view, such methods as “open doors” promote personal self-determination only if they form the atmosphere of game in which children, teenagers and the youth are free to visit different clubs and elective courses with the feeling of an interesting adventure. In the article the author recommends to use game technologies in the format of “quest”; different directions help children find their field of interests. To sum it up, one may come to the conclusion that interaction of clubs and optional courses within the institution of additional education will allow to broaden the field for self-realization of students, that helps choose between the existing directions of training. However, in the article the author emphasizes that the choice of the directions by the children has to be voluntary, they should not have tests for a long period of time as among the variety of interesting kinds of activity children’s unripe nature can be in self-determination crisis. The author believes that the success of the action depends on the professionalism of the organizers and the leading teachers.
