Dubina L.V. OBJECTIVITY AS A CHARACTERISTIC AND PRAGMATIC ATTITUDE OF SCIENTIFIC WRITING: LINGUISTIC AND METODOLOGICAL ASPECTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 10 (175). P. 125-128

The author talks about the language difficulties that international students face while studying in Russian universities. These difficulties are related with the scientific style of speech and writing. Students do not understand scientific texts in Russian, make errors in the written work. The author suggests that the cause for this is a perception of the rules of the scientific style as formal, not related to successful communications, and proposes to pay more attention to the semantics and pragmatics of scientific language means. Objectivity – one of the basic requirements for scientific writing – can be represented as a main pragmatic attitude. The author offers a description of several linguistic phenomena that used for making the text more objective and shows how the description of the pragmatics of these words and structures helps to explain their use.

Chakurin V.A., Domansky V.A. MULTIFUNCTIONAL CONTROL IN ASSESSING THE FORMATION OF MILITARY PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF MILITARY CADETS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 2 (220). P. 107-115

Introduction. The training of a new generation of highly educated personnel capable of acquiring and reproducing knowledge requires fundamental changes in the assessment of cadet learning outcomes. Knowledge control involves assessing the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by cadets, while quality control aims at determining the level and enhancing the professional skills of teachers. These areas of control are used to assess the extent to which the learning objectives have been achieved; to identify problems that cadets encounter in the learning process; to stimulate cadets’ independent work; to determine the professionalism of the teacher; to obtain information necessary for the improvement of teaching, research and methodological work. As there are no specific unified models for implementing the assessment of cadet learning achievements, the methods and means of assessment are determined by the internal regulations of the military higher education institution. In this regard, there is a need to substantiate the theoretical basis and practical experience of training methodology for controlling the learning activities of military school teachers as a factor in improving the quality of evaluating the learning achievements of cadets of the Military Institute of the National Guard Troops. This problem can be solved by using a multifunctional control of the professional training of a competence-oriented specialist. The aim is to develop and implement in educational practice a multifunctional control in assessing the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical training and competences. Material and methods. Source analysis, testing of cadets and teachers, pedagogical experiment, mathematical method of evaluating the achievements of cadets’ learning success. Results and discussion. The essence of different approaches to evaluating the learning outcomes of cadets in military higher education institutions is revealed. The main types of evaluation of the results of their educational activities are revealed: diagnostic, current, periodic (thematic), and final evaluation, and their corresponding functions – diagnostic, controlling, managerial, educational, analytical-informational, motivational, and educational – are identified. The necessity of development and implementation in educational practice of multifunctional control in evaluating the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical and professional training, was substantiated. The study has shown that the set of control functions in the educational process is a system of multifunctional control of professional training of a competent specialist, which is characterised by the integrated use of various forms and methods of control on the basis of complementarity. The didactic multifunctionality of control is ensured by the realisation of its main functions, the level of provision of which in the educational process has an impact on the growth of cadet learning efficiency. The multifunctional quality control of cadet knowledge is a holistic management tool that includes diagnosis, investigation, control and evaluation. Conclusion. This study has shown that one of the promising ways to assess the quality of training is to develop and implement in educational practice a multifunctional control in assessing the development of military-professional competences of cadets, aimed at improving the quality of their theoretical training and practical skills. It is based on adequate psychological and pedagogical approaches, the use of pedagogical modelling and the selection of the most effective organisational and pedagogical conditions that will ensure the effectiveness of multifunctional control of future officers’ professional training.

Chervonnyy M.A., Vlasova A.A. STUDIES OF CONVERGENT LEARNING IN SCHOOL EDUCATION IN TEACHER TRAINING. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 5 (223). P. 123-131

Introduction. The modern level of convergence of sciences and technologies leads to changes in the content of school subjects and their new synthesis in the educational process. In regional school practice, new interdisciplinary connections and integrated courses are emerging, partially provided with methodological materials. The conditions and results of the development of convergent education in the region should be taken into account when preparing future teachers. The opening of pedagogical quantoriums and technoparks on the basis of higher pedagogical education organizations as a condition for the material and technical support of the educational process contributes to the formation of a broad natural science worldview of students-teachers. The analysis of research in the field of convergent education will allow us to form an idea of a new educational paradigm, to determine ways to transform the process of training a school teacher. Aim and objectives. To study the practices of implementing convergent learning in the general education process, as well as requests for training teachers with new qualities that allow the teacher to introduce these technologies into the educational process. Material and methods. The research methods were: a survey containing questions with a choice of one or multiple answers, and with free answers; grouping of answers; clustering of opinions, judgments and assessments; generalization and analysis. Results and discussion. Based on the conducted research, a rating of specialized education and integrated courses was established in 19 schools. The continuity of integration education between primary and high schools, opportunities and deficits for development has been established. Respondents see the best opportunity to implement convergent education in the implementation of project-based learning. Courses and events are equally evaluated. Conclusion. The conclusions obtained on the basis of the analysis of the research results allow us to assert that there are deficits: experimental activities in existing convergent school courses; carriers of interdisciplinary knowledge; integration of such school subjects as Technology – Robotics, Physics – Biology; equipping with teaching materials. At the same time, the positive trend that has emerged in the region in displaying the convergence of natural and exact sciences in school and university education, revealing the relationship of these sciences with technologies on the example of megaprojects, allows us to assert the possibility of solving problems. The results obtained will enrich future teachers with additional knowledge and universal competencies.

Shestakova M.A. THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE. TO THE DISCUSSION ON INTELLECTUALS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 5 (158). P. 128-134

The problem of intellectuals is genetically related to the question of the social functions of scientific knowledge. An intellectual in the European tradition is regarded as a link connecting science and society, making the transition from concrete scientific knowledge to the general socio-political issues. In this context, the notion of an intellectual is determined not by the reference to his line of work, but through the social functions that he performs outside the scientific community. The main social function of an intellectual is social design, formulation of common social objectives. Modern intellectuals are facing a choice between the neoliberal social project and the collective social project, the question of whether individual freedom can be regarded as a universal social purpose.

Si J., Zhang J. Reform of Teaching Foreign Literature on the Background of the “New Concept of the Humanities” (Experience of Implementation in Modern China’s Education System). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 1 (225). P. 76-85

The new concept of the humanities emphasizes breaking down barriers between different disciplines, creating a new system of disciplines and a knowledge system, emphasizing the development of students’ thinking abilities through the transfer of knowledge, and re-establishing the link between “teaching” and “learning”. The goal is to analyze the way of reforming the teaching of foreign literature in the context of the “new concept of the humanities”. The material of the study was the documents of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on the construction of a “new concept of the humanities”, the relevant research papers of the CNKI of China, as well as examples of the author’s training in teaching “Foreign Literature”. The study uses the literary method of research and the empirical method of research. In this context, the teaching of foreign literature should break down barriers between courses and integrate between courses. Foreign literature in various universities in China is divided into the history of foreign literature, the reading of foreign literature and the theory of foreign literature, but we must combine these courses in teaching. During the teaching of literary history knowledge, we must make students understand the characteristics of the literary language in original literary texts, we must penetrate the literary theory in the study of works, teach students to analyze specific literary texts through literary theory and criticism method, and realize the combination of theory and practice. In teaching foreign literature, we must not only have a global vision, but also have national and family feelings, in order to spread Chinese culture in the international arena and tell Chinese stories well and establish cultural confidence in cultural differences. Russian literature especially contains a deep patriotic spirit, humanitarian spirit, deep cultural heritage and civic consciousness. Through the teaching of this course, we guide students to create patriotism, build the consciousness of citizens and develop a humanitarian spirit. As a result, we will combine knowledge, ability, and a view of value in order to improve the ideological and moral literacy of students. While teaching, we encourage students to actively participate in teaching activities and discussions. Interactive activities between teachers and students can mobilize students’ enthusiasm, stimulate their creativity, provide them with opportunities to use and demonstrate their own abilities, and help them improve their language skills. At the same time, teaching foreign literature can not only impart knowledge, but also cultivate thinking ability and stimulate students’ imagination ability. The use of auxiliary tools such as multimedia, internet, film, boutique course site, can not only expand the scope of the curriculum of literature courses and make the teaching method diversified, but also keep in touch with information technology, digital culture and the network. This teaching method can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning and form a virtuous learning cycle. Teachers should introduce their research results, research trends, as well as scientific methods in the classroom, constantly enrich and update teaching content, conduct flexible classes, ensure students learn the latest knowledge and cutting edge concepts, at the same time cultivate students’ interests in scientific research, improve the ability of students in research and stimulate the interests of students in research. At present, assessments of foreign literature studies at various universities in China are in writing. This assessment method does not contribute to the development of creative abilities and the improvement of students’ literary assessment and analysis abilities. Therefore, we are trying to use a combination of written tests and oral tests in the assessment of learning to comprehensively improve students’ language skills and cultural literacy. The “new concept of the humanities” is to throw off the unreasonable barriers set by disciplines, not bound by the boundaries of invisible disciplines. The “new concept of the humanities” are the inevitable result of the humanities and social sciences adapting to social development. An integral task of teaching foreign literature is to cultivate outstanding talents who can serve the needs of the country and take responsibility for national revival against the backdrop of the “new concept of the humanities”.

Zholudeva L.I. THE FUNCTIONING OF THE PRONOUN FORM GLI IN THE 16TH-CENTURY ITALIAN LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 5 (194). P. 9-14

The article focuses on the polifunctional pronoun form gli and its patterns of use in the 16th-century Italian. In Old Italian, as a result of phonetic changes, this form became virtually universal, as it performed various subject, direct object and indirect object functions and co-occurred with other developments of the Lat. ille. In Modern Italian gli has several uses, but they are not stylistically equal: gli as the indirect object masculine singular pronoun is normative, gli as the indirect object plural form is colloquially marked, and gli as the indirect object feminine singular pronoun is regarded as a vulgarism. The 16th century, in a way, was a transition period when certain uses of gli that later became obsolete are only present in comic genres and in the writings by semiliterate authors. Another interesting feature is the growing discrepancy between the dialect of Florence and the codified norm. The reduction of superfluous uses of gli in the 16th-century Italian has not been dealt with specially before. The present piece of research aims at assessing the way the functions of gli were gradually being reduced and differentiated stylistically, which becomes evident when one confronts prose and verse writings belonging to different genres and to authors from different regions of Italy.

For visual interpretation of deformed non anticommutative N = 1/2 supersymmetric theories as a standard field models and distinctive features research of their dynamics it is necessary to output component Lagrange function formula of this theory effect. The definition of component structure of non anticommutative theory is quite an unconventional technical problem because of N = 1/2 non anticommutative deformation the given superspace and therefore requires special analysis. Let us study Lagrange function form of non anticommutative general superfield model of chiral and antichiral superfields on the base of deformed N = 1/2 non anticommutative superspace. The model is formulated in terms of undirected Kahler’s potential and chiral and antichiral superpotentials which were decomposed in series according to superfields with allowance for imputed deformation. They assay the analysis of component structure of deformed Lagrange function of the given model and find quite a simple and compact form fore register Lagrange function theory.

Sarkisova A.Y. VERBALIZATION OF AXIOLOGICAL FRAGMENTS OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS IN PARADOXICAL STATEMENTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 4 (210). P. 102-109

Introduction. The description of the linguo-axiological nature of the paradox is a promising vector for its linguistic research. The very properties of the paradox determine this. The following properties characterize the paradoxical statement: the explication of a deeply personal world perception, meaning formation as an intention, the presence of background axiologically significant information for this linguistic cultural community, the reflection of the world’s contradictions and the paradoxical nature of human consciousness itself. The purpose of the work is to identify and describe the fragments of values and attitudes of the Russian consciousness, which a paradoxical statement expresses. Material and methods. When analyzing the language material, the author uses the methods of axiological linguistics: linguo-axiological reflection, linguo-axiological description and linguo-axiological interpretation. Russian statements of a paradoxical nature are used as material: author’s, anonymous, and also the products of collective creativity. Results and discussion. The study of the axiological component of paradoxical statements allows to specify and illustrate vivid language examples the following properties of the Russian mentality: the rejection of dogmatism and irrational nature of the dominant mental models; the priority of the emotional-mental sphere of the individual over the intellectual-rational, which is manifested in distrust of formal logical postulates. The realization of the epistemological function of the paradox turns into an axiological plane with the newly discovered meaning of capital truths and basic values. The activation of understanding provoked by the paradox is in tune with the Russian person’s desire for knowledge and self-knowledge, inquisitive spiritual searches, and the desire to “appropriate” the truth, that is, to find a personal meaning. From the syntactic point of view, a paradoxical statement is often based on the principle of parallelism and contrast: in addition to the correlation of the recognizable and the new, values that are alien and inherent in the Russian conceptual sphere are clarified (for example, the concepts “conscience” and “fair”). Paradoxical statement is also interesting as a form of metalanguage reflection, which is especially relevant for the Russian mentality with its high attitude to the word as a logos. Conclusion. Axiologically colored features of the Russian language mentality find active expression in paradoxical language forms. The results of the research and the proposed selection of examples may have theoretical and practical significance for the linguistic axiological modeling and reconstruction of the axiosphere of the Russian language picture of the world.
