| 6201 | The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the translation of socio-political vocabulary in the context of the analysis of the strategies used by translators J. Cournos, L. Viardot, A. Faizi in the translation of «Taras Bulba» by N. V. Gogol, the special significance of which currently prompts the search for criteria for assessing the degree of compliance with the subject content of the original and translations in English, French and Tatar, respectively. The military-administrative and military-historical realionyms of the subject-thematic area «socio-political relations», the group «military-administrative structure of society» are recognized as the exponent of the implementation of these strategies. These realionyms and their trilingual equivalents are compared in terms of the use of domestication and foreignization strategies. The aim of the article is to identify convergent and divergent strategies in translations of military-administrative and military-historical realionyms of the original text in order to assess the quality of translations. The corpus of 28 military-administrative realionyms of «Taras Bulba» (1842) by N. V. Gogol selected from the point of view of belonging to the subject area «Social and political relations», taking into account symptomatic statistics, that is, the frequency of occurrence in the original text. The object of the article is formed by 84 equivalents of the indicated realionyms recorded in the texts of translations, which were made in English by J. Cournos (1952), French by L. Viardot (1853) and Tatar by A. Fayzi (1953). The subject of the article is the strategies of convergence and divergence of the subject content of N.V. Gogol «Taras Bulba». The work used general and particular scientific methods. The methods of logic (analysis, induction, comparison, grouping) and statistics (sampling method, analysis of correspondences) belong to general scientific ones, and the comparative method belongs to private scientific ones. Foreignization increases from the English translation of J. Cournos from 43% of socio-political vocabulary to 93% in the Tatar translation of A. Faizi. L. Viardot foreignized 53% of realionyms in the French text of the translation. 12 out of 84 translation solutions are divergent to the original text, six of them are contained in the English translation. 54 out of 84 units were borrowed by translators using the methods of transliteration and transcription, as well as unreasonable capitalization of realionyms. It can be stated that the quality of the translation was affected by the following translation errors: the omission of the realionym, its replacement, inappropriate modernization (use of anachronism), incorrect capitalization, the presence of «false friends of the translator»; factual errors. The analysis of translation strategies for realionyms from the point of view of the implementation of convergence and divergence strategies can be one of the criteria for the quality of a translator’s work. The choice of a convergent strategy is a basic condition for the implementation of a better translation and, thereby, the reproduction of the original author’s intention by means of the target language, while the choice of the opposite, divergent, strategy is highly likely to distort the realities of the source text, misleading the recipient about the subject content of the original. The expression of the strategies of convergence and divergence at the elementary (microstylistic) level in the translation of realionymic vocabulary is domestication and foreignization. | 6207 | Introduction. The nomadic peoples of the North, belonging to the Arctic world, can be regarded as a unique result of the dynamics of earthly civilization. For many centuries, they managed to preserve a peculiar way of life and a nomadic life arrangement as the basis for the evolution of the Arctic culture. Today, specialists are concerned about the traditional cultural norms and values, ethnic characteristics of the peoples of the northern territories, which have been partially lost by the present time, which have been established for centuries. The purpose of the article is to characterize the upbringing process in the modern nomadic Arctic region. Research methods: analysis of pedagogical literature, study of normative documentation in the educational sphere, systematization of the experience of preschool and general education organizations in Yakutia; involved surveillance; questioning; expert assessment; implementation of the results obtained in pedagogical practice. Results and discussion. The process of creating an upbringing space for a preschool nomadic structure, a nomadic general educational organization, an Arctic region with nomadic settlements have been analyzed. It has been substantiated that the upbringing space of a nomadic preschool educational structure is considered as an environment, the mechanism of (self) organization of which is goal-oriented and value-oriented meetings between a teacher and a child, pedagogical events with the participation of children, parents and other adults that are significant for a child. Conclusion. The process of upbringing of schoolchildren-northerners can be represented by a logical sequence, expressed in the form of a chain scheme-of family, community, preschool and school upbringing. The scheme can be disseminated into different territorial entities. The nomadic way of life being revived today must have legal legitimacy, justified by the current state legislation, and be recognized as a free choice by each northerner of his life path. | 6214 | Introduction. Currently, researchers are attracted by the work of the authors of the so-called “second” series, whose literary creations have been unjustly forgotten. What is still important is the role played by these works in the literary process of their time. Material and methods. The material of the study was the story of M. S. Zhukova “Dacha on the Petergof road” and “Princess Mary” by M. Yu. Lermontov, as well as the literary context of that time. The research methods were gender analysis, structural-typological approach, biographical method. Results and discussion. The plot and textual analysis of “female” prose showed not only the correlation of the main images and plot motifs of M. S. Zhukova with the previous literature, but the originality of the presentation of the author’s material. In the context of the emerging movement for women’s rights, the writer tried to bring to public discussion the issues of family and marriage, the role of women in society. Not being able to raise these topics directly, the female author uses certain stylistic devices (italics, ellipsis, question marks, exclamation marks), author’s digressions within the plot. Very often she uses hidden quotes and reminiscences to the works of famous authors (A. S. Pushkin, V. A. Zhukovsky, M. Yu. Lermontov). Her traditional, at first glance, main characters acquire a different semantic load. The male image created by the writer, having the external features of a classic hero-lover (former hussar, prince, guardsman), turns out to be a “grand seigneur”, i.e. a man only pretending to be a gentleman. M. Zhukova also shows a different view of marriage of convenience, when the cynical and strong-willed heiress to a wealthy fortune herself arranges a family union-deal with the prince. Conclusion. The echo of romantic literature is the provincial Zoya, whose madness becomes an indicator of the heroine’s lack of viability in the modern world. Thus, the storyline in the writer’s work becomes more complex, the literary idea merges with life, and secondary characters have not only a connecting function, having received their further development in subsequent works of realist writers. | 6226 | The article deals with penetration of some plots, motives, characters and literary forms of the ancient Indian monument “Panchatantra” into the world of peoples’ oral and written literature. This factor has been the centre of folklore specialists’ attention since the XIX century. It is known that existence of the similar plots in the different peoples’ literature was interpreted by scientists quite differently. It was connected with relationship, borrowing, or accepted as independent phenomena. The article examines genetic and typological methods of analysis, reveals their merits and demerits. The following fact is taken as the basis: the genre “framed narrative” and method “casus” were formed on the basis of the ancient Indian traditions. So their manifestation in the other cultures has the Indian origin. It is supposed that the plot “wooden beauty” in Azerbaijanian tales has the Indian roots. | 6229 | According to the article a general level of social life depends on the success of personal self-determination of young generation. The author underlines that successful personal self-determination of teenagers and youth is one of the major achievements on the way to professional self-realization, which forms a specialist in a field. In modern additional education it is necessary for children to study one or several adjacent directions during years of preparations. As a result the most successful children are good at several kinds of activity, however they are in dark of existing great number of others. At the same time the problem of seasonal crisis of personal self-determination of children, because of which searches of true occupation to liking can drag on for the long period, is frequent. According to V.A. Sukhomlinsky’s precepts children need periods for acquaintance with different types of activities, as a result personal and professional interests can be revealed. In our opinion creating conditions for children to experience a large number of activities, which they chose in institutions of additional education, solves that problem. According to the research, in the modern educational associations there is a practice of comprehensive programs, which involves not only the basic but also the additional direction of training and mutual training activities for the exchange of experience between collectives with related activities. However, in institutions of additional education there are not enough large-scale surveys which that can give students initial experience in many kinds of different activities, in the context of which the choice of the most interesting can be more conscious and obvious to children. From the author’s point of view, such methods as “open doors” promote personal self-determination only if they form the atmosphere of game in which children, teenagers and the youth are free to visit different clubs and elective courses with the feeling of an interesting adventure. In the article the author recommends to use game technologies in the format of “quest”; different directions help children find their field of interests. To sum it up, one may come to the conclusion that interaction of clubs and optional courses within the institution of additional education will allow to broaden the field for self-realization of students, that helps choose between the existing directions of training. However, in the article the author emphasizes that the choice of the directions by the children has to be voluntary, they should not have tests for a long period of time as among the variety of interesting kinds of activity children’s unripe nature can be in self-determination crisis. The author believes that the success of the action depends on the professionalism of the organizers and the leading teachers. | 6234 | The article considers the specific character of religious metaphors and their role in conceptualization of the soul in art discourse of the XVIII–ХХ centuries. The characteristic feature of the studied metaphorical model is the close synthesis of pagan and Christian concepts, the appeal to fundamental oppositions “good – evil” and “own – alien”, estimation approach to cognizable fragments of reality. By means of a metaphorical projection from the area of “religion” into the area of “man’s inner world” in an art discourse the spiritual qualities of the person, emotional life, personal relations between the man and the woman are represented. The peak of the use of religious metaphors in an art discourse is XVIII–XIX centuries. | 6235 | The article below attempts to define, organize and structure genre varieties of operating instruction. Technical instruction and user manual have been already described in traditional linguistic research. The current study has revealed that genre varieties of operating instruction include new ones that have appeared recently. These are MissingManual, ForDummies, and TheCompleteIdiot’sGuide. The appearance of new genre varieties is due to the rapid development of technical progress. The current research shows that the new genre varieties of operating instruction fall into subclasses. It has been established that the main differences between Missing Manual, For Dummies and The Complete Idiot’s Guide include the way of presenting information in the text, thematic scope and functional stylistics status of the above mentioned texts. The Complete Idiot’s Guide and For Dummies are characterized by emotiveness, the use of resources of expressiveness such as metaphor, allusion, antonomasia and other stylistics devices. The Missing Manual has a specialized field, while For Dummies and The Complete Idiot’s Guide tend to be multidisciplinary texts. The aim of this paper is to formulate a definition that most relevantly characterizes the current state of such an object of contemporary discursive research as network diaspora discourse. In the section «Network discourse: approaches to research» against the background of related terms and concepts the choice of the term network discourse is justified, its broad and narrow understanding is described. The narrow understanding of the term is characteristic of the discursive approach to the analysis of speech communication with the emphasis on the following characteristics: realization in social networks, informal communication of users united by a common interest, the possibility of free access to it. In the section “Network discourse of diaspora communities” the formation and maintenance of the network collective identity is outlined as one of the priority missions of any Internet community, such phenomenon of modern reality as digital diasporas is defined, and the modern Russian-speaking digital diaspora is presented as a network community united by the Russian language and the collective task of sociocultural adaptation in a new country. Network diaspora discourse is a special kind of texts of network communication of representatives of diaspora communities, immersed in the situation of reception and interpretation of various aspects of foreign reality. Diaspora network discourse always has a specific linguistic embodiment (Russian-speaking, French-speaking, etc.) and can be presented both as a universalia in the form of network speech interaction of the global community of speakers outside the metropolis, and as a set of local variants-uniques in the form of network s peech interaction of diaspora communities of specific countries and regions. | 6249 | Introduction. In the analyzed cycle, L. Goralik actualizes complex problems of modern children’s literature, among which the following can be distinguished: the problem of the relationship of generations (“fathers and children”), the attitude to death, the understanding of one’s own identity, ways of knowing the surrounding world. The purpose of the work is to characterize the system of characters in L. Goralik’s cycle about Venisan. Material and methods. The works of Russian structuralists, folklorists, and mythologists were used in the work. Results and discussion. The cycle about Venisan presents a rather complex and diverse system of characters, among which one can distinguish heroes-helpers, pests, mythological characters. Pests, like assistants, serve the purpose of plot development, helping the main character to go beyond the usual existence. Mythological characters contribute to the development of the inner world of the heroine, i.e. they largely determine the inner plot of the main character’s growing up. Conclusion. The cycle about Venisan can be attributed to the fantasy tradition, however, attention to the complex inner world of a child trying to survive in a terrible world complicates the problems of the work. L. Goralik uses mythological images to create the inner world of a girl who intuitively tries to figure out the ontological problems of life and death, the meaning of her existence. If in fantasy literature for this purpose there were heroes-helpers (sages) who give answers to difficult questions, then Agatha finds herself face to face with a hostile and complex world order in which communication with adults only complicates the situation: adults demand help (mother), make them suffer (father), threaten life (smugglers, “merry men”, etc.).In an unhealthy and hostile atmosphere, children try to come up with their own explanation of what is happening (rumors, scary stories), learn to mimic (invent a secret language). Agatha, unlike most children, develops the ability to intuitively comprehend the truth about the world through mythological images that appear to her in dreams, memories, sensations.
