In anglophone historiography the modernization in prepetrine Muscovy is considered as the result of the military reforms and the external influences. The sources of such effects were located in the West as well as in the East. The “military revolution” has been recognized as an important aspect of the historical transformation of the state and society. It has identified the development of the fiscal-military state. Whereas the process of the new military technologies translation went out from Europe, the Ottoman Empire and the Golden Horde passed out the autocratic political model “of the Service State” and the concept of the fiscal policy. In the estimates of foreign authors pre-Petrine military reforms were effective enough, but they have increased social and cultural gap between Europe and Russia. | 2954 | Introduction. The specificity of the somatic code of culture as one of the most ancient is described. The research interest in its verbal representation is substantiated. Aim and objectives. The purpose of the article is to reveal the discursive-genre specificity of realization of the code function of somatism in the Russian folk lyrical song. Material and methods. The analysis is based on the material of 317 texts of of the genre under study, selected from folklore collections. The research methods are determined by the specificity of folk discourse, the peculiarities of ditties and lyrical songs as folklore genres with a pronounced lyrical principle, and the genre specificity of lyrical songs. As a methodological substantiation of the research, a comparison of lyrical songs and ditties are given in the aspect of identifying features important for identifying the specifics of the implementation of the code function of somatism. Results and discussion. Quantitative analysis of somatisms in the lyrical song showed that their composition corresponds to the composition of similar units in the ditty, which is justified by the structure of the general cultural somatic code and the proximity of the compared genres. The list of high-frequency units in the lyrical song is wider, which indicates the genre specificity that distinguishes the lyrical song from the ditty in the aspect of the repertoire of broadcast emotions and feelings. The specificity of the principles of organization and content of the somatic code in the lyrical song in comparison with the ditty is illustrated by the analysis of the use of somatism hand. The assumption of a genre-conditioned orientation of the lyrical song for a more detailed than in a ditty, prescription of somatic reactions and sensations, feelings reflecting the installation to the direct description of emotions and feelings, is confirmed. Conclusion. The analysis showed that the content and principles of the somatic code organization in the lyrical song, firstly, are based on its appeal to the national values, symbolically represented in the nominations of human body parts, which is typical for the folklore discourse as a whole. Secondly, in the lyrical song, the examined code acquires genre specificity, which is most pronounced when it is compared with the ditty. As a result of their comparison, it was found that somatisms participate in the transmission of emotions and feelings, which are transmitted through the description of the somatic reactions and sensations of the characters, both in the ditty and in the lyric song. Unlike ditty, in lyrical song repertoire of emotions and feelings realized by means of somatism is wider. IMoreover, these emotions appear as more generalized - on the one hand, but described in more detail - on the other. | 2955 | Introduction. The article is devoted to the consideration of ways of implementing language variability, represented at the level of phraseological subsystems of the Russian and Chinese languages. The object of the scientific description is the sphere of linguistic semantics, which receives conceptual understanding in connection with its study in the aspect of intercultural and interlanguage communication. The presence of a semantic invariant in the content of Russian and Chinese phraseological units is determined by the existence of general tendencies of sense formation and the action of universal laws of development of any national language. Semantic variants arise due to the peculiarity of national linguistic cultures as a result of the combined action of a number of extralinguistic and linguistic factors. Aim and objectives. The aim of the study is to study the functional manifestations of the theory of variation at the phraseological level of the Russian and Chinese languages in the aspect of comparative linguocultural interpretation. Material and methods. 54 phraseological units operating in modern Russian and Chinese languages, selected because of a continuous selection from lexicographic sources, were used as units of analysis. The main one is the comparative linguoculturological research method. Results and discussion. The starting point of the study was the thesis that phraseological units have not only linguistic, speech, but also linguocultural and linguocognitive status. In the meaning of most Russian phraseological units there is a pronounced national-cultural component of meaning. Taking this factor into account, general (invariant) and private (variative, characteristic for a particular linguistic culture) semantic components in the semantics of phraseological units that make up correlation semantic pairs (equivalent, non-equivalent, incompletely equivalent) are identified. In equivalent paired phraseological units, the core of semantics is the semantic invariant, nonequivalent ones are dominated by variable semantic attributes, incompletely equivalent are transitional types. Conclusion. Comparative linguistic and cultural studies make a significant contribution to the study of various linguistic concepts, including the theory of language variability, semantic interpretation, translation, on the basis of which it is concluded that they are extremely relevant for the modern scientific paradigm. Keywords: phraseological unit, the Russian language, the Chinese language, comparative linguoculturological analysis, theory of variation, invariant of meaning, variant of meaning, semantic equivalent | 1972 | ||||
Introduction. In order to describe modern practices of verbal communication used in various spheres of personal and institutional communication, it is relevant to analyze communicative strategies and tactics carried out within the framework of discursive and pragmalinguistic studies of modern linguistic material. Internet communication provides a wide range of opportunities for the analysis of speech strategies within this type of discourse. The aim of the work is the analysis of verbal and nonverbal means of implementing the strategy of distrust in online comments on YouTube. Material and methods. The materials of the study are 43 comments to 14 videos about the German mobile application called “Die Corona-Warn-App”. The randomly selected comments were subjected to contextual, semantic and pragmalinguistic analysis. Results and discussion. We can define an online comment as a genre of public discussion, a multimedia phenomenon that functions as a sociocultural tool significantly contributing to shaping public opinion and as a means of linguistic construction of social reality. The speaker’s intention or attitude towards a certain object of reality is expressed with the help of various communication strategies and tactics. Taking into account the criterion “communication balance” we can distinguish two groups of communication strategies: cooperative and noncooperative (cooperation and confrontation strategies). Conclusion. Strategy of distrust is considered as an assertive communication strategy and is based on the evaluation criterion which differentiates the speaker’s attitude according to the “good-bad” scale. Thus, a speaker evaluates a certain event or an object on the basis of its relation to “normality”. By means of this strategy a speaker can express criticism and skepticism in relation to a particular event or phenomenon. This strategy includes a set of tactics: exaggeration, intimidation, allusions, ridicule etc. In online comments strategy of distrust is expressed by various verbal and nonverbal means which can be used both separately and in certain combinations. Examples of verbal means include allusions to negative historical and social phenomena, words with negative connotation, obscene language and various stylistic devices that emphasize the negative attitude of commenters towards the topic. Nonverbal means include capitalization, excessive use of exclamation marks and emojis. Keywords: internet discourse, online comment, communication strategies and tactics, strategy of distrust, verbal and nonverbal means, the German language | 1972 | ||||

The article deals with the peculiarities of the use of euphemisms and dysphemisms belonging to the functionalsemantic field of death. Euphemisms became important bricks in the walls people have built to keep the dead from making them uncomfortable. The most fertile ground for euphemizing is one where open discussion of a topic is taboo. So it was with sex in the Victorian era, and so it became with death after World War II. Postwar advice books counseled parents to avoid talking about this subject with their children. Having done their best to avoid anything connected with the dying and dead, English-speaking communities replaced associated expressions considered too direct with soothing alternatives. The words ‘passed away’, or simply ‘passed’, and ‘gone’ are the most prevalent synonyms for ‘died’. Much has been written on the psychology of denying imminent death. Euphemisms clearly have an important role to play in this denial process. Growing interest in death and dying during recent decades, supported by several publications on the subject, suggests a certain willingness to face the topic squarely in print. This willingness, however, is not reflected in everyday discourse which can be proved by mass literature contexts. In addition to euphemisms there exist various dysphemisms and slang words. Like euphemisms, dysphemisms are motivated by fear and distaste, but also by hatred and contempt. Slang expressions and dysphemistic terms of insult or disrespect should be avoided in speech and teaching a language. | 2973 | Shelomok II belongs to the circle of monuments of the Scythian-Siberian world and dates back to the 5th–4th centuries BC. Shelomok II is located 10 km south of Tomsk, on the right bank of the Tom River, on a low ridge of 15–40 m wide and 12–15 m high from the water’s edge. The settlement was discovered by G. V. Trukhin in 1959. In 1971, the monument was examined by L. M. Pletneva. L. M. Pletneva also conducted excavations in 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, 2001 and 2002. The collections are stored in the TSU Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of Siberia and in the Seversk Museum. The total excavated area is 1024 square meters. Nine of 19 sites were excavated there. Findings associated with bronze casting, including bronze ingots and droplets, fragments of ladles, casting moulds and a vessel with the presence of metal on its walls, as well as fire pits with the same objects are all evidence of local casting. Horizontal stratigraphy of these findings made it possible to identify production facilities: buildings No. 10 and 11, as well as two fire pits with the same findings in the cultural layer of the settlement. Bronze objects were found in dwellings, workshops and a building of worship. However, only some of the bronze objects were made in this settlement. The rest of the objects found in settlements of the Tomsk Ob River, including Shelomok II, come from the Minusinsk Depression, the Altai, Central Asia, and other regions. | 2974 | Introduction. The study of the issues of social and pedagogical support of students in the conditions of a modern university; the study of their expectations in this regard is because all students need such support. Students of pedagogical areas are especially in dire need, the majority of whom, as a rule, come from a family of teachers who themselves need strong social support from the state. The problem is compounded by the fact that in the Kyrgyz Republic issues of supporting pedagogy have not been studied both theoretically and practically. Material and methods. Based on the foregoing, the purpose of the article is to determine the essence and content of the socio-pedagogical support of students, to reflect their expectations in this regard and to determine further ways of implementing the considered aspect in the preparation of teaching staff. The study used theoretical and empirical methods (analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature on the topic, observation, survey, interviews, questionnaires, the study of documentation and experience in organizing students’ life at four universities of the Kyrgyz Republic). All these methods were used to study the state of the theory of socio-pedagogical support and the expectations of students in the conditions of a modern university. Results and discussion. Studying the problem of social and pedagogical support of students shows that modern students who study at the pedagogical faculties of universities of the Kyrgyz Republic need social and pedagogical support. That means: pedagogical assistance in organizing students’ life, enhancement of culture of behavior in a multinational environment, developing leadership qualities, psycho-pedagogical assistance in establishing contacts in the student environment, etc., on which the effectiveness of training future teaching staff in a university depends. Conclusion. The results of the study show that the problem of social and pedagogical support for students today remains one of the important aspects of the activities of universities, as it is related to providing assistance in the social, educational, spiritual development of students and is one of the important conditions for the preparation of future teachers and their social development. This term means penetration of the ideas, characters, plots of George Sand’s novels into Russian culture, public consciousness and a love life. | 2976 | We review the recent attempts of unifying inflation with quintessence. It appears natural to join the two ends in the framework of brane world cosmology. The models of quintessential inflation belong to the class of non-oscillatory models for which the mechanism of conventional reheating does not work. Reheating through gravitational particle production is inefficient and leads to the excessive production of relic gravity waves which results in the violation of nucleosynthesis constraint. The mechanism of "Instant preheating" is quite efficient and is suitable for brane world quintessential inflation. The mode! is shown to be free from the problem of excessive production of gravity waves. The prospects of Gauss-Bonnet brane world inflation are also briefly indicated. | 1970 | ||||

Stem-building markers became the formal factors of the declensions only in the course of time. Originally, they were not indifferent to the semantics of the nouns and joined to certain names only. The comparative analysis of nouns with consonantal elements -j-, -w-, -n- in Gothic convinces us of the ancient origin of the markers -j-, -w- as the morphological structure of the word allows to reveal earlier elements. Every stem-building marker with a consonantal element possesses its specific feature and expresses more concrete lexical meaning. The original meaning of the consonantal markers -j-, -w- was connected with an earlier category – category of animateness/inanimateness, i.e. they were markers of animateness but they lost this meaning. Only the marker -n- has kept the meaning of animateness, and vowel markers show the grammatical gender. | 1970 | ||||

Since no major articles have been abolished, “the Penal Code” (1845), based on which the persons who spoke with an appeal of the transition from Orthodoxy to another religion, could be brought to justice, the clergy of the church acted to limit the activities of the activists of the new religious movement.
